Thanks Dazzatron for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance. Find #10797 on 9/11/2024 at 10:27AMThree of us headed north to collect a few smileys. Our target was the BigQ and also collect anything else we found along the way. Signed logs as TOAD (Team Ozgrumpy Astro doineedthis). A great day out, Thanks to all the COs for their time and effort.
A trip up to do the Big Question Mark with OZGrumpy and Astro.Spotted by Astro, OZG was almost right on top of it.
After confirming with the CO about the elevation we did indeed need to get to for this one we found it safe and sound. Fun find this one. Thanks!
Found Mona, looked everywhere for Lisa but couldnt find her. Will try again another day! TFTC
TFTC. Day 9 of honeymoon caching trip. Off on the road again!

Quick find here today on my way past, cache and contents are all good
Today I headed up to the copper coast for a day out to find a few caches yet to be found plus the new onslaught of puzzles up here. Managed to dodge the rain that was forecast and come away with just over 50 finds.
Thanks for the cache

After a wet and windy night, we are heading to Bute and surrounds with iluvtrekking picking up caches along route. Cheeky hide. Thanks Dazzatron
Today was a mighty fine day. A Jams crew day albeit depleted today it was just Allisterw, JJ52 and I so we logged using our individual caching names rather than as Jams.
We made a canny plan to head up the highway to Lochiel, Snowtown and then via Bute to Moonta. Lots of caches found including several ‘bastard’ nanos (eagle eyed Allister was the nano king today). Lots of historical buildings, a monster, the beach, a wedding, a bomb, tractors and many ‘welcome to’ signs. Lots of ‘bastard’ cacti but we seemed to win more of those than we lost which was a definite bonus. Only one dnf for the day.
70 caches visited and Allisterw top scored with 69 finds.
It was very chilly all day but no rain so no complaints.
Thanks to the many COs for contributing to our day out and big thanks to my pals for the laughs and Allí for driving

A fun day with JJ52 and Michells&hound going from Adelaide to Lochiel, Snowtown, Bute and Moonta finding caches along the way. My main role was to drive and find caches. TFTC Dazzatron
Today I felt like going out for some New Years Day caching. Specifically the roads between Kadina and Bute.
Made the find after a about 10 minutes of searching, as is often the case, positioning is everything.
Signed and returned.

Took a while to locate this one. Warm sunny day, with plenty of tall grass so not so keen on crawling around here. Took a last look and spotted it cleverly hidden. Tftc
So we were all set to fly to Dayboro for the Queensland Mega this weekend. There hadn't been a case in Qld for a quite a few weeks before we decided to book in early Feb. What are the chances of a case causing a lockdown and closing the border we thought..So when it all did happen just 4 days before we where due to leave, we were royally peed off. So we had to cancel and find somewhere else to spend Easter. Pt Broughton was a last minute choice so here we are at the Broughton Bay RV park. After having brekkie in the Cafe and looking around the markets we headed out to do a few around the district. This was a quick find TFTC
Day 442 ( Friday 13th) of our trip. Caching along the way, in Bute today. Out this afternoon to get a few around Snowtown. TFTC

Found on a trip from home in the Adelaide Hills to Wool Bay on Yorke Peninsula, via the scenic route through the Hills to Gawler, out to Mallala and taking the back-roads to Balaklava, up to Snowtown, across to Bute and Paskeville and down the peninsula through Maitland and Minlaton, finding 32 caches for the day and clearing up a good portion on the map. Thanks for the cache Dazzatron!
This one took awhile, both because the area is looking really snakey (saw one earlier in the day) and because it was a tricky hide .
Looked for quite awhile before reading through some logs, eventually using a combination of methods from If and DiMorgan to locate the trickly little sucker .
TNLNSL.
Thanks Dazzatron.
PS. Our date stamp time warped us a month ahead here , but the log date is correct [:o)].

A huge weekend of geocaching with Mary from Aussie M & M. We got ourselves a lovely little cottage in Kadina and made this our base. So many caches and so little time we had to target certain ones that we felt were special enough to get a visit. As per normal we fixed any that needed some love so other could find them after us.
Thanks to Dazzatron from mogni
Thanks to Dazzatron from mogni
Mrs M and mogni were on Yorke Peninsula for 2 days targetting older caches, solved puzzles and multis. This one was a cache we aborted about a year ago. Today we were more determined although we relied on mogni's determination to come away with the find today. Mary watched on as she danced across the line to the spot where the cache was visible.

Another Caching Wednesday for the Puzzled Puzzlers. Today's group of brisal5, S.A. Sewer Rats and Blackadders were once again heading north in search of that elusive smilie. Three weeks earlier I had missed the trip due to injuring my back and had only done a half day since. [B)] This would be a big test. [8)] After several DNF's three weeks ago the others were keen to return with a new set of eyes. We had a full day of laughs and a couple of sprinkles of rain but managed to right a few DNFs but still added a few more before seeing the sun set in Wallaroo and turning for home. We will be back again next week.
This took way longer than it should of. It is actually a very clever hide once you have felt it out. Two caches ago I had taken my wind cheater off in the bright sunshine. [^] Now it was cold and wet. WT[?] Maybe that is why it took so long!
**Thanks Dazzatron for this cache. **

A small menagerie of the puzzled puzzler animals had planned to visit the top end of the Yorke Peninsular to seek more smileys on their individual maps. Unfortunately the Starfish had injured his back the day before which left just the Adder and the Rat to fulfill the quest.
As mentioned in the log by our assistant, the lid does need replacing to keep this one safe.
A claim by the Adder though of an unloved cache find. Nearly 2 years since the last mark in the book. Must remember this for any future Unloved challenges that may be published in the near future.

The long weekend presented the perfect opportunity for my wige (Tounga) and I to plan a quick get away.
So, we booked some accommodation in Moonta and decided to cache the upper Yorke Peninsula.
We had a great time, finding 129 geocaches in all.
Thanks for hinding your cache Dazzatron, we enjoyed it.
I apologise for the generic log.

Hi there Dazzatron.
We found your cache **"Lisa"** at 9:59:00 AM today.
This was our 14th find for the day and this makes our find count 12992.
Our cache run today was initially to finish off the Pyramid. After that our next goal was to log our 13,000th find - - - so we navigated from cache to cache to the one the GPS said was next closest etc. On the way home our mental arithmetic said that we were one short so we did what Bruce (of Liz & Bruce) would say - - "Just one more lovey!" & ended up with 22 finds & 2 DNFs at the end of the run.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Many thanks for placing the cache for me to find.
Many thanks for placing the cache for me to find.
At first glance there were many caches to hide a cache here [:o]
Nothing for it but to try the good olde 'grid' search technique [:o)]
Sooner or probably later, I would find this hide
Which I did
Not a single car, or train passed by while I looked [^]

Today we are heading to the copper triangle to do some caches with earthlight and the x trailers, we managed around 120 caches over the 2 days we spent here and we saw some fantastic scenery along the way, being the geowifes early childhood stomping grounds i was treated to a lot of history about quite a few of the areas and how much things have changed over time, this is day 1 and as we head out in the x trailers geomobile we start crossing of a few that are on the to do list, this one was a nice quick find. Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today was moving day, we are still travelling with iluvtrekking after major repairs at Toytota Maitland.
We moved the caravans to Bute today and then headed out around Kadina Geocaching and doing some shopping at Woolworths, BWS, and the local Butchers.
We found some great caches and some superb caches. All in all a great day. Wonder what tomorrow holds.

Visiting Moonta for the festivities and picked up a few caches in the surrounding area while we were here.
South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.
Today we were off to the Yorke Peninsula, the original destination for this trip. We spent the whole day driving only as far as Kadina, but we went via Clare and plenty of rail trail caches. Everyone has done a great job of placing a great variety of caches and we had a great day.
Thanks.

Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.
Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.

Heading back from a great couple of days caching in Whyalla we were taking our time coming down so as to be able to attend the "YP Cachers Get Together #3" event tonight and also grab some caches in areas we do not normally travel. We had just left Mona so this would be the obvious next port of call. It seems strange that the once extensive rail network would be reduced to this. We suppose truck just made it easier but you would think rail would be more efficient.
It looks like one farmer has decided to extend his crops to the edge of the rail line so at least that part of the land is still getting some use.
Thanks once more Dazzatron

Sadly no luck for us today
We were out geocaching with Morrisminor72 and it was REALLY hot! Not sure if we were just a but hot and grumpy... but we did spend a bit of time looking around here, with no luck. Decided it wasn't urgent enough to place another call to MargieH, as we can always pop back again for another look.
Thanks anyway Dazzatron.
