We enjoyed the drive through the beautiful valley and up the winding road to the cache. After that, the weather changed dramatically, turning the descent into a real adventure with heavy rain, fog, and low gears. Made it to our planned rest stop at Bretti Reserve.
It’s been a while since this was last found as the snails around the container will attest to, but everything is in good order. Little scorpion cache guardians waggled their tails at us once we found it too. Beautiful countryside here, loving the drive.
Well, that is quite a climb, but the descent is worse after Giro. Glad i did not come across any semi's, as it was hard enough passing cars in some spots. A quick find, once the gpsr settled. TFTC.
What an amazing road! Port Stephens Cutting would be much fun in a sportier drive, but still enjoyable in the work Hilux today.
The 'five ways' is a great location/landmark for a cache.
Log is okay but cache contents are damp.
Thanks For The Cache!

Yay!! We made it up the hill. Accurate coordinates and excellent hint. Temperature plummeting. TFTC
Hi there Postman Pat.
We found your cache **"Top O the Hill"** today.
We have journeyed over the range from Port Macquarie to escape all the school holiday/Christmas madness. Today we headed out of Tamworth in a south easterly direction until we reached "Top O the Hill" before heading back to camp. We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, but please excuse our boilerplate logs - as it is difficult to craft individual logs when we log so many similar caches in the day
Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches where the GPS said we should be looking. (We did have to expand our search area on some though).
**Cache Condition:** The cache was soaked, we spent some time drying it out, but it still needs some "Owner TLC".
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing
Thank you for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Eww, this container damaged and the log wringing wet and slimy. Replaced container and log for you, petted the tiny cache guardian, he seemed sad having lost a tail. No signal up here.

Lovely day caching for Wonders of the World , Memory Lane and just plain fun , Postman Pat, SL, My find #414
Out and about caching today while visiting Tamworth and surrounds. Thoroughly enjoyed finding the caches around Dungowan and Ogunbil . Thoroughly enjoyed finding the CO's placed by them. Much appreciated. TFTC
First full day in Tamworth and caching out Dungawon way and a little further. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive especially the road up the range but unfortunately it was overcast and the view not that great. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches to enhance our caching experiences.
Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 4. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we decided to stay an extra day around Tamworth and as far away as Uralla. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost every cache.
Thanks for the cahe Postman Pat

20,547. Found with albida33 during a meander up to and around the Tamworth and Armidale regions.
Day 4 of our trip. Headed out after breakfast for what turned out to be another big days caching. We aimed to hit some more of the trails around the region. Next stop of the day, and we came up with a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.
TFTC Postman Pat !!

Decided to stay in Tamworth for a day and find some of the caches in the area ..
Yes I made it to the top !! Suppose it's all downhill from here ..
All Good .. TFTC ..

Nice spot! Wrong turn a bit down the road brought us to this one. Peaceful. TFTC
Nice quick easy find after a long trip wondering if we'd get signal. Thankfully we did and now we we have the coordinates for the one on the bottom on the return trip TFTC
Found at 1:07 PM GAFF1. Well it's been 4 years since we were here last - and found that the cache was missing So back this time after a wonderful drive up the Nowendoc Rd towing our van - but with all of the rain we had the previous few days you can hardly tell the colour of the van now - it's black and silver/grey if anyone wants to know
The cache location was spotted pretty quickly, however it seems that the weight of the camo is causing some destruction to the container. I tried to relieve the situation, but it was still tight.
Thanks Postman Pat.
Feedback: There is no TB in there.

A quick find while on my way Gloucester to Narrabri.
I love country roads and if given a choice (and the time) will always travel on them than a main highway.

found on a much nicer day then my last trip. still covered in snails lol. tftc again. found with geopartner
Having arrived at the top of the hill from the east, I was a bit annoyed to see a car parked at GZ [:o]
I stopped another 100 metres along the road to out wait the muggle
10 minutes later and nothing !!
Well I may as well make meself a sandwich for morning tea
Delicious, but still the muggle hung around.
I hopped back in the geomobile to read up on a few other nearby caches.
After 5 minutes or so engrossed in what I was doing, I looked back at GZ.
No muggle
I ran over quicksmart to grab the cache, before anyone else could turn up
Eeeek!! Escargo !! [:o]
At least the inside of the cache is snail free and dry
TFTC.

Great area, as previously mentioned... SNAILS... lol must love something in the area.

This is a hill with a reputation. For us it was a first time and as we didn't come across anyone else on it, it's a pretty impressive bit of roadworks. TFTC Postman Pat.
Wow what a view coming up the hill! We will definitely come back this way again. A great cache I love that you had think outside the obvious.
1st find for Lillypilly.And Mumbojumbo
Took brontosaurus and butterfly badge. Left stamp and tiger. Thanks!

Was checking on my Berocca Bomber 4 when I noticed this cache was back, found with Hannah & James (Pommy Ranga's children), log book says temporary? Onya Postman Pat, TFTC!!
After camping the night at Hanging Rock we decided to head back to the Highway via this direction to pick up a few caches, this being one of them. A nice and easy find.

sorry all I replaced the container a couple of weeks ago and forgot to enable it
Hi I am planning on fixing this cache but i have not gotten around to it.due to Family issues.
Passing by at 3.35pm so we stopped and dug out 9 beer stubbies out of the base of the tree - no cache!
Do you think it has gone?
Do you think it has gone?
Tried for this one heading west for christmas. The only thing i found at GZ were a couple of dirty nappies dumped by obviously dirty people at base of tree. Dug around a bit but i think this one may be gone. Maybe you could check it if you get a chance Postman Pat.
This was an easy find enroute from work at Nowendoc to the Bendemeer pub. Two local farmers emerged from the paddock after we had retreived the cache so we made small talk until they had departed so we could replace the cache undetected. Cache and contents remain in 'as new' condition. Thanks Postman Pat.
Just one more *FTF* before getting to the Event. I really enjoyed the drive up and down the cutting but the car started to complain so I had to take it easy for a little while afterwoods. Nice views from GZ aswell.
Thanks.
Thanks.
