This cache has fallen from grace - it was found on the ground in a very sorry state. Needs to be replaced. TFTC.
I hope it's still there, but if it's where I think it is, I'm not game to stick my hands anywhere near those spiderwebs!
Out on a sidecar ride through SA and Broken Hill, I picked up this cache. Thanks for hiding the cache.
There is good in every bad thing. Perhaps if the elephant was still there, there would not be a cute baby Masked Lapwing with its mummy and daddy ferociously guarding it present in the area. So cute! TFTC.
Out For the day with Mum and Dad. This one had Mum looking everywhere. Eventually found with some help from me ....again! TFTC
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Passing through for work and needed a break from driving and saw this one on the screen. Called in and found the cache on the ground so retrieved it and took it to the car to sign the log. Replaced it where I thought it should be. I recall one of these elephants in a playground not far from the parents place and we used to love clambering all over it and sliding down the trunk. Don't ever recall any kid hurting themselves. I think the nanny state has gone too far. Kids have no ability to learn on their own anymore. It has all been taken away. Thanks for the memory and a great cache and a break from the driving. BTW the log was very wet. Could do with a dry out and a Zip lock bag. Gratias pro cache.
I remember that elephant when going to Eudunda to play football , and Mrs M used to make her parents stop every time they went through so she could play on it. Cheers. MODU.
What fun the elephant must have been. I am so glad that I grew up in an age when we could explore and play without the heavy word "safety" blocking our every move. RIP elephant.
Yes such a pity that kids cact be kids anymore, easy find no muggles around today. TFTC
R.I.P. Elephant. Another example of how OHS has gotten ridiculous. I remember a park from my childhood that had a hurdy gurdy with cement under it. There may have been the odd broken arm but I can't remember any serious injuries from it.
Retrieving and returning this cache container was a bit tricky as there were about 6 muggle workers at the nearby pool relaying the tiles around it.
Thanks.

Found It!
I can't say I remember the elephant. But I haven't forgotten it - I just never knew of it!

After a good meal and sleep at the Commercial Hotel we visited Maa's bakery for breakfast. Fortified we set off with no intention of getting anywhere near the 122 finds of yesterday!!
GPS went hay wire I thought until I had the \"Ah Ha \" moment.

Had an early morning stop on the trip between sydney and Clare. Was freezing. But an elephant would have been awesome. As it is we gawked at the pool and the geodogs helped me hunt whilst the geochild hid in the car. TFtc
Found this with my son and his friend who hadn't been geocaching before. Think I found a new fan!
Found while on a caching weekend with The Honeysuckers. Lots of fun was had by all.
Very cool play ground equipment
Cheers and thanks for the cache

[Black]Today we headed out to the TdF series with FelixII, quite happy to see that the rain had stopped and the sun was shinning albeit weakly.
We drove up the highway from Mallala to Morgan and drove back down the stock route picking up the odd additional cache along the way. The road was good order, though a bit slippery in isolated patches, and the rain stayed away. I must say I'm glad we didn't have to ride the route on the bikes.
Most caches were in good order and mostly dry inside even though some where in puddles of water.
Thanks for your cache matmob, we had fun.[/Black]

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February and attending Oz Mega. Now we are leisurely checking out the rest of the State.
Having met up with iluvtrekking a few days ago and surviving the pouring rain of the last few days it was very nice to head out with them today with only the odd drizzle about. The sun even managed to poke its head out a couple of times. Think the temp only got to 14degrees though
A fabulous day touring the countryside. We also managed to complete the TDF series. A very successful day with only 1 DNF. Took heaps of photo's so a big thankyou for this cache.

Found whilst attending the Oz Mega Event. After setting up the camp and meeting & greeting old friends and new. Decided caching was in order. Great cache. TFTC
Team "NZ Fun" - funkymunkyzone, slieschke, alpenmilch80, vistra, yorkshirekiwi83 and Cats&Dragons - found this on our rather loosely planned 24 hours of cache finding record run, from midnight to midnight on the 18th of April 2014. We started with the Signal geo-art trail, headed up through the other Oz Mega 2014 trails, the Wandering Heroes series and then across to the Tour de France trail for a total of 727 finds and 11 DNFs for the day. Apologies for the copy/paste logs, but with so many caches found in a single day it was impossible to remember specific caches, but that's not to say there weren't memorable caches along the way - there were indeed some great caches, particularly along the Wandering Heroes series. Special thanks to the cache hiders: OzFiresafe, Team Hurtle, and their helpers, for the Oz Mega 2014 trails; le equipe de cinq pour la piste "Tour de France"; and all the hiders of the Wandering Heroes caches and other caches along the way that we found along the way. We started at midnight on the Signal trail and ended at midnight after a few random caches in Eudunda before making the long drive back to Murray Bridge for some well earned sleep - for some of us, the first sleep for more than 45 hours. We stopped at every cache and it was a fun day but very tiring, and I don't think I'd do it again for a very long time (I'll stop short of saying never though, like organising another mega - ha!) TFTC!!!
Find 724 of 727 for the day.

I am over from New Zealand for Oz Mega 2014 and today joined forces with fellow kiwis Yorkshirekiwi83, Cats&Dragons, Funkymunkyzone, Slieschke and Alpenmilch80 for a 24 hour non stop caching run! The log books were signed under the team name of "NZ Fun"
We started near Murray Bridge and worked our way around the Oz Mega 2014 Signal trail, then on to the OZ Mega 2014 SA trail. Once those trails were finished, we headed over to Tailem Bend and worked through the Wandering Heroes series up to Loxton. From here we made our way across to the Tour De France power trail. Whilst the power trails were our main focus, we also picked up a few other caches along the way. At the end of the 24 hours we finished with 727 cache finds!!! It was an exhausting 24 hours and we still had to drive back to Murray Bridge afterwards! Sorry for the generic logs, but a big thank you to the cache owners for all of the cache placements!

Found as part of a 24hour cache run with 5 other kiwi's while at the OZMEGA2014 Murray Bridge (Alpenmilch80, Slieschke, funkymunkyzone, vistra & Yorkshirekiwi83, ) on Friday 18th April. All logs were signed as "NZ Fun"
We had a great time and throughly enjoyed the challenge that this presented to us all, thank you to the cache owners for being able to create such a range of caches for us to complete.
We started our run at Signal, through to OZ MEGA 2014, The Wandering Hero's, Tour de France with many other caches along the way. For all that we managed we only had 11 DNF's in the whole trip which for the numbers was pretty amazing in its own right.
So again thank you for the NZ FUN

Found with alpenmilch80, Cats&Dragons, funkymunkyzone, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83 on an epic 24 hour cache run of the Oz Mega trails, Wandering Heroes, Tour de France and a bunch of caches between these. Signed as NZ Fun (and also some instances of Fun NZ as the day continued on)! A total of 727 caches were found on this run!
Thanks to all the COs for their placements!

Sitting in a pub in Auckland before the SA MEGA we decided it would be a really fun idea to try and see how many caches we could find within 24hours. So it was decided, team NZ Fun was born (myself, Alpenmilch80, Cats and Dragons, slieschke, funkymonkeyzone and vistra). We met at the dedicated starting point just before midnight and we were ready to go on the stroke of 12, we completed Signal, OZ Mega trails, Wandering Heros and the Tour de France with many others in between.
Thank you to the many cache owners who put time and effort into placing and maintaining these trails, we really appreciate it, we managed 727 caches within our 24hours, which was exhillerating, exhausting and loads of fun. Apologies for the generic log.

From Auckland via Sydney I arrived at Adelaide around 10pm on the 17th to be picked up by funkymunkyzone, slieschke and Cats&Dragons (thx!). The plan was a 24h geocaching run which included picking up as many caches possible involving the three trails of Oz Mega, Wandering Heroes and Tour de France. We made it just in time back to Murray Bridge to meet up with vistra and yorkshirekiwi83 at GZ of our first cache. With the whole Team "NZ Fun" assembled the run started exactly at midnight.
In total we managed 727 finds and 11 DNFs in 24 hours. Wow what a great team effort!!
All trails finished and all team members very sleepy we made our way back to Murray Bridge with collecting some more on route. TFTC

Found this one during our month long tour of SE Australia. It is our intention to find as many caches as possible during our stay and as a result logistics dictate that this generic log will have to suffice .Hope the cache owners, to whom we extend our gratitude for their efforts, will all understand the reasons for this. All good wishes from us both.Log very wet.

A couple of days out from the SA Mega and I was on a run around the area grabbing a few caches. No real problems with any of them and the ones I attempted were in good shape. I think I will need another week to make any sort of dent in the numbers around here though......
Thanks for this one......

Hi guys. Good cache to find but it is water damaged. Wasn't able to leave a message as the notepad is soaked.
We found this cache after completing the nearby Tour de France power trail. It was lying in the wet grass after very recent rains. A gent was using a roller on the nearby oval so we grabbed this one while he was (slowly) headed away from us.
As the cache held a magnet we attached it a little higher up at the back. Hope that is OK.
Bring back the days when folks were responsible for their own actions (and accidents), then we would still have been able to enjoy the ellie.
Many thanks for bringing us here matmob [^]

School's out for another year and what better way to celebrate than a caching expedition! 124 caches in a 16 hour period in and around Eudunda, including 99 of the TDF series! Friday 13th not a problem. Nothing like being static with this one.
Quit smelly at GZ today, must be some filters? The hide had a nice camo colour, but that didn't hold us from finding!

Day five of our caching trip. I joined up with friends to make our attempt on some of the trails down south. Grabbed this one as we travelled through. Thanks to my fellow cachers for the company. Lots of fun SL..TFTC

Quick find on a beautiful day, bumped into Guz's Travellers and stopped for a quick chat, Nice to meet you! TFTC
Miss GG and I were in the area having a great lunch and bit of a stroll doing some maintenance on my cache nearby.
Wow I didn't read the description on this one till we got home... I thought this little spot look a little sad... and why was there picnic tables here but not anything else.
Funny the two yellow buses that are in the photo seemed to be sitting in the exactly same spot today.
Thanks for the bit of history lesson and the cache Matmob.

Darknstormy and i were heading back to Morgan after completing the TDF powertrail and spending some time in eudunda having lunch and more caching.
As we hadn't planned any specific caches to do on our way back we were looking on c:geo for some caches to pop up on the way back and this was one of them
Wow i also didnt read the description till it came to logging, but it would be cool if it was still here
Thanks matmob

It's day 29 of the 31 Days of August. Today has us up nice and early to head to Eudunda to claim the smileys on a couple of the missed TDFs and get as many of the Auzzie Convicts as we could, while we were here we also did a few around the area before heading home in the wee hours of the morning, although we would of loved to get a smiley on all the convicts we ran out of food and all the snacks were gone so with hunger setting in we only allowed very short time with the lower numbers giving us a few DNFs : ( it is very time consuming with only 2 people but very very rewarding when you do find the little beggers, we will be back to claim our unclaimed smileys : )
Thanks auzzie convict for the challenge.
Brought TB's along for the ride.
we replaced any wet logs with fresh dry ones : )

R.I.P. the 'Adventure Playgrounds'....
Today's children are subjected to sanitised environments.... Just look at what they did to The Monash Playground!
Quick and easy find, unlike finding the elephant, probably in some councillor's backyard for his/her kids!
Thanks

A quick find at the place we left one of our two vehicles, while we attempted the Auzzie Convicts power trail. Nice hide.
Unfortunately the scenario described in the cache description is not unique to Eudunda. In our own home town of Ulverstone the local council (in their lack of wisdom) did something similar when the "Rocket Park" was refurbished. OH&S and insurance companies have a lot to answer for - together they area creating a generation of kids who cannot take calculated risks. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of this cache. The cache and its contents were in good condition. TFTC matmob.
