Hi I know this cache has great sentimental value to the COs. However we like very few cachers do not pre read our potential finds which means we just turn up on site with the expectation of finding something.
It has been gone for some time and was more than likely muggled rather than taken by a fellow cacher. If you are able please replace the cache or archive it.

This is a special request. We wouLid really love it if some kind geocacher would place a replacement container for this cache. This cache is very sentimental for us as it was the last cache our old Jack Russell Mickie found with us on the day he passed away. He geocached with us since 2002 until May 2012 when he passed. Whenever we come over to Tamworth we always visit this cache, it is in a spot which so closely resembles our home in WA and with its peaceful and tranquil location gives us a lovely setting to sit and reminisce.
Thanks for reading I do hope it can stay in play.

Mid morning had a look about GZ found evidence of the cache site but no Log or container. Maybe could by re established!!!
After spending several months house sitting around the Central Coast, Sydney and Bateman's Bay it is time to head back to Queensland.
Day 2 of my drive northwards.
And i start with a DNF.
I think this one is gone ... not in the obvious spot.

Please, please, please replace this cache as it has such special memories for us.
On May 15, 2012 we took our 15 year old Jack Russell to find this cache only hours before we said our final goodbyes, he had geocached with us since we started in early 2002 and travelled Oz with us in our caravan.
We came back through in 2014 with the intention of doing some maintenance as we had been following logs but a severe weather warning for flooding had us unable to reach GZ, we had to turn back when only 15klms away.

Found cache but it was completely full of rusty muddy water. Nothing salvageable. Needs entire replacement but I did not have any containers with me. Best wishes and TFTC
After some fossicking in the Nundle State Forest it was a bit cold and rainy so we decided to drive into Tamworth for a walk along the main street, something we haven't done for many many years.
We decided to take some of the back roads to Nundle to return to the van and this was a cache that determined the way we returned to Nundle.
Located very quickly by Mrs Shifter, the cache lid is damaged but unfortunately we had already used the spare in the car on this trip and hadn't replaced it yet.
Thanks for the hide Postman Pat.

Found with my geopartner on the way home from Tamworth... Tftc... We replaced snap lock bag because cache was really wet...
Lid really damaged with holes and is pretty much useless. Cache had a fair amount of water in it, so emptied that, signed the moist logbook and replaced as found. This was the last find we made in Tamworth as we made our way to Muswellbrook via Scone (where i couldn't find a place that sells scones, man i wanted sum scones w/jam n cream) TFTC
Cache lid is cracked and the container will fill with water the next time it rains. Log book also needs a new zip lock bag.
Cache lid cracked, needs fixing . Dried the contents out as best I could and replaced the cache with some cover from rain.

Found it, nice easy find. Corner of container cracked and the lid has started to break up. Contents ok at the moment. TFTC
Well, there couldn't have been anywhere else to hide anything here - park and grab only. Though a passing farmer on his tractor must have wondered why we stopped right there. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2288)
Departed the Central Coast early this morning “Still Dark” to meander up the New England Highway with the aim of attending the Xmas in July in Stanthorpe, Qld to meet old friends and to greet new ones and generally have a ball and of course the chance to discover some caches along the way and visit some interesting places. Great cache. TFTC
Needing yet another excuse to swap learner drivers on an overnight trip north, this cache was a suitable detour. Arriving at GZ, the cache was easily found and the necessary logging done,
then we headed back to the main road and headed even further north, missing Nundle altogether.
We also dropped of the Happiness TB here.

Love these caches that make you explore the area! We decided to take the pretty pink hire car on a sealed road to Nundle, but enjoyed this short detour from Tamworth.
TFTC Postman Pat!
TFTC Postman Pat!
A nice short detour & a quick break from the highway. As others have said, something is living in the tree but the cache is safe.
Thanks,

So many roads lead to Nundle, that it must have a black hole in the centre of town [:o]
Yeah !! Like the centre of the universe
From the highway I took the scenic detour across the bridge.
And just before GZ, a muggle was power walking along the side of the road in the opposite direction [:o]
Out here ??!!!
I kept driving for a while to give the muggle time to power walk away.
On returning a few minutes later, the coast was clear and I quickly found the cache
Something likes this tree and the hollow there was more fresh digging evident.
I suspect an echidna is the cause

This one was a short quick detour off the road. Found the cache easily as it was sitting out in the open on the ground, something has moved into the original hiding spot overnight, the dirt was still fresh.
Slightly moved the cache and gave it some cover. Cache had some water in it which we drained out.

oh ooo long grass, you can't go under it you can't around, it i'll have to go through it.
Found while completing a trip around the north east of NSW with my family for the State challenge
#1784- A quick detour and an easy cache on our way back home. Thanks

TFTC what a great location. Thanks for taking us to such a beautiful place.
Thank you for making caching more interesting by placing this cache. TN left TB

Spotted its hideout from the car. Geo Mum and Dad had a race for this one as it was last one for today. Took a dog and left a spotted leopard and kangaroo. TFTC
Nice short detour to pick up this one. It wasn't on our list but I knew it was here and just had to come find it.
Nice easy find and sign and back to the highway we went.

Drove over from 'The Pearly Gates". Definitely the long way. But got to see some amazing scenery that I would say half the population of Tamworth haven't seen. TFTC Last one for the day
Time to head home.... with some caches along the way. Spotted the cache when I pulled over, it was uncovered but still in place. SL and covered back up... some nice views here! TFTC
Found at 3:46 PM GAFF1. We have been to Nundle and loved it - however it was in June and it was freezing and wet and nearly snowing - still loved it though
Thanks Postman Pat

This was a lovely little spot, we enjoyed the slight detour out to this one. Didn't head on to Nundle though, we were aiming for Tenterfield, so after signing the log & replacing the cache, it was back to the New England Highway for us.
Thanks .

We were heading north to log caches in the three northern regions of the state to help us qualify for the NSW State Challenge cache in Katoomba. This one took us off the New England Highway to give us views across the plains. An easy find. I like this kind of quiet country road. Thanks for taking us there.
We came out to find this cache on what is a very sad day for us as our much loved jack russell Mickie will be going to his final sleep this afternoon. This will be the last cache that the four of us do together, Ian gently lifted him from the back seat of our Landcruiser to show him the cache and the wonderful tree which houses so many colorful birds. The area is so serene and much like our home except perhaps the hills are a lot taller over here.
Thank you Postman Pat for sharing this special spot with us.

Contre to some of the other comments i actually found the surrounding country side really pretty. TFTC
This one is surely one to ask the question about why the cache was hidden here, are we missing something? TNLN TFTC
TFTC, Looks like a safe location. Left FC Sunderland trackable to continue its journey with others & Jeans fof Jeans hat pin. Dried container out.

Travelling up north on a very wet day we were able to grab a few caches along the way.
We found this one sitting out in the open as we pulled up. Possibly an animal had removed it from its hidey hole.
Thanks

On the way home from Tamworth with the two mini cachers in tow after a visit with their nan, and they were straight into it. I cant remember the last time I took one of them caching let alone both at the same time. This cache started the day off on a great note with Samuel finding the cache in super fast time on his own.
