We have been out and collected the cache, grabbed some new numbers and now just have to work out the best nearby location or how to replace the missing number. Be back soon.
Unfortunately the Pine has gone and so has the Fence. We will always remember the pine but for now we must disable until we can work on another marker.
A good multi hide to get to number 30 from 31 days of caching in August. Shame about the pine tree. TFTC.
Starting to get my head around these multi stage no sign of trackable in container and it was well covered thanks to luke and melody I resume
This was a nice multi-cache. I like visiting places like this. It was easy to get find the numbers and once we got to GZ unfortunately we found the cache uncovered. But we covered it back up so hopefully it will stay hidden for a while longer. TFTC!
For lots of caches, not having a GPS is fine, but for this one it was a little tricky. Google Earth and maps both showed significantly different positions and neither of them were right. On the second visit, intuition proved to be the key, and eemf92 made the find. Our first offset cache! No travel bug to be seen.
Wasn't where we expected (Lack of GPS didn't help), but we found it in the end ! First Multi-cache
Good cashe agent orange and myself found this cashe on a sunny Sunday afternoon and once again black cobra steals the win!
Good one! Agent orange and myself spent a sunny Sunday afternoon looking for this cashe
A quick and easy multicache.
It's surprising the large number of muggles that passed by on an overcast Saturday.

Quick and easy multi after work. This park is quite hidden from those who are zooming by like I normally am. I also took some rubbish out of the park with me. TFTC!
No TB to be seen though

Out shopping with Nana in Corrimal, dont usually bother with multis as i dont have time or patience, decided to give this a go today after shopping.
While we were collecting the anwers to the puzzles, a couple sat nearby having a drink and just left their litter behind when they left. people are scum! After finding cache, i cleaned up the litter and put it in a nearby bin. Sad that the pine tree has died, would be good to see it replaced.

We did not know about the memorial before and enjoyed the little history lesson. A good place. TFTC!
An interesting spot and quiet here this morning. Info grabbed and cache found out in the open so we added a bit more local cammo to the cache.
Thanks Krafty Charlie.
Thanks Krafty Charlie.
Found with paulyman. There were some rather cheeky lorikeets playing near the memorial which was fun to watch. I was sad to see the pine tree was dead though. TFTC!
Found with snorris. I enjoyed spending time at the memorial, it's a shame the pine looks so sickly. Hopefully it's just a bit slow waking up for spring. TFTC.
No idea this was here. Took a moment to think of those who had fallen before starting on the number crunching. Once at GZ had to wait for some council workers to clear off before beginning my search. Luckily they were just finishing off their lunch, not starting it, so didn't have too long to wait. Took the TB to move along. SL TFTC
Nice memorial Unfortunately the lone pine is dead. Enjoyable cache for an early morning grab
Geo kids found the cache. Geo kids and parents loved working out the clues and geo kids were very interested in the area and what it represents. Thank you KC.
Lovely memorial, the pine tree is very sad.. Infact it's dead. The rosemary bushes look in good health. No inventrory in cache. Thanks Krafty Charlie
Made the calculations easily enough Walking towards GZ I was wondering if the recient large scale tree and clearing works may have effected this cache. Glad to see the GPS soon had me feeling at ease.. Enjoyed this one Thanks. TNSL
as it was past 6:30 and we live almost 80kms away we thought we'd better have dinner in this area. we were randomly driving looking for a coles and since there was one here we parked the car and bought some rolls and a roast chicken (we had left over fruit from our picnic lunch earlier in the day). as we had no idea where exactly we were , we didn't know there was a cache so nearby. we ate some yummy magnums and then we noticed this easy looking multi just 200m away. we ran to the plaques and learnt some interesting history in a great park. my mum's phone died just after we figured out what a, b, c, and d meant so we quickly figured out the coords and ran to the geozone. cache was quickly found. thanks for placing this cache near a coles TFTC
Worked it out ages ago but never seem to get down there. Very easy to find TFTC!
Found this in heavy rain so no muggles about. The cache was easy to find as it was sitting out in the open. I covered it with leaf litter. TFTC
Thanks for the joint effort in collecting the required information: Fitzy_1965, McPhan and SolDeLune, nabbed on a quick weekend run through Wollongong.
Yes a few people about, but cache should be sound and secure.
thanks for the cache Krafty Charlie.

Always enjoy a good multi, and this one fits that bill. As an ex-serviceman it is always nice to visit these area's.
We did the calc's ok and were soon on our to GZ, where we made a quick find.
Thanks KC for showing us the area.

5024. [font=Century Gothic][green]Some quick calculations in this simple little memorial site and then off to the cache. Zsazsa7 made a quick find but had to delay the return as a muggle took an interest in why we were there from the other side of the creek.

On Armistice Day, a visit to this cache by the travellers we are preparing for another move, is very much in place.
Family Cache, Family Traveller. What better place to start the jouney. All Travellers visited together
Was nice to do this cache with some of the family members present - but was left to my own to find it.
A nice area/cenotaph/memorial
A really good multi, thought it'd be fitting to drop off Australia Bound Major TB to see Australia.

this only took a few hours to get from WP1 to WP2, but I guess grabbing the numbers on the way to a local job, and chasing the final after work was the reason.
I got to a barrier, and the cache showed as 20M odd away, so I checked the details and ralised I had subtracted C from B instead of D, so I reworked the coordinates, edited the GPS, and it pointed 6M to my left. I looked left and immediately spotted an uncovered cache.
When I had signed the log, I made sure the covering was in place.
Thanks, an interesting pice of ANZAC history.

Found while visiting my son in the gong. A nice cache to help us remember. TFTC
I've been meaning to finish off this cache for a while. I sorted out the clues over Easter, but when I went to find the cache, there were a group of muggles too close for comfort. Nice cache, and good to be able to do a local one. I took the TB (how could I resist Trim?) and hope to get him on his way soon. LNSL. TFTC.
Tried this one over a year ago with ozvixen but were defeated at GZ. Seeing a new revised location and the promise of no lantana, tried again on my own early this morning and easily found the cache high and dry from future mulchings. With anzac day only a few weeks away, was a good time to reflect on the futility of war. Left an aussie flag in honour of the fallen.
Found this one on a local spree, a few have appeared this year I finally also got around to this one - it's much better since being reborn. TFTC!
After seeing this one come back on line, we headed out to complete it this weekend. Tadpole7 and I rechecked our numbers and then re did the calcs, and went in search of the new cache location. Tadpole7 ran off ahead and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks Krafty Charlie for restoring this cache.
Did this cache with toadmister7. We had to be very careful because of a group of nearby muggles but after a bit of sneaking around we made the find. TFTC!
Back on-line, but GZ in a slightly different location that hopefully will not be in the "line of fire" of the gardener's and maintenance crews. There is no lantana at the new GZ, but the terrain level has changed.
This was my second attempt at this cache. Double-checked my coords by running through the information again. Sure enough, I was lead to the same GZ as last time. Agree with the previous post about recent mulching and overgrown with lantana. Might wait and see if it is found again before trying again on this one.
Unfortunatley the cache has gone through the local mulcher. We found the pen and 2 trinkets, no TB or container. The log that contained the cache is missing and a small pile of mulch nearby is where we found some remains. Hopefully the cache will be back up and running very soon in a slightly different location. It will be free of lantana and mulchers. Truly sorry about the TB.
Visited this one with my Geodaughter, Tadpole7, and we gathered all the information. It was sad to see that the Pine tree is in very bad condition, if not dead. We calculated GZ and went for the short walk. When we got to our calculated GZ, it was a very overgrown area, recently heavily mulched and covered with Lantana. Not sure if we were in the right place. Couldn't find what we were looking for, so will check with the cache owner. Anyway we enjoyed finding the answers, and visiting this memorial which we never knew existed. Thanks Krafty Charlie.
That was soooo hard to find because i didn't know what a lone pine was but now i do it is a tree.
A very well constructed memorial to all of our fallen men and women of world conflicts.
I am always saddened when I think of the wanton waste that war is...
Another sad thing here is that the 'LonePine' pine tree at the memorial is dieing.
A great cache, and after doing the sums it was off to a quick find, thanks KC.

NIce little spot this one but, a little dissappointint that while there some local muggle kids decided that throwong glass bottles down the driveway was a good thing to do...
I took my time and read all the info in the area while gathering the clues. With a quick translation I was armed with the final coords and off to GZ. I spotted something on approach that I thought would be the spot and yep, it sure was...

A good example of a simple offset multicache. WP1 was interesting and it was good having to read the information to get to GZ, which wasn't too far away but not too close either.

A trip down to the Gong today just to do this cache for ANZAC day could not think of a better one to do
on this special day.The time was taken to remember those who sacrificed so much. This a an easy multi
to do me and Geowife worked it out only slightly disagreeing on the number of green fence rails that needed
to be counted. The co-ords loaded into the unit and a short walk later the cache was uncovered those plants
near GZ sure are course to the touch.Thank you Krafty Charile and co for this one.....

Found this one on the second attempt. Had the Katey Bears and a newbie with us - might have another convert to geocaching. Thanks for the cache Charlie.
This was our first attempt at caching, and once we figured out how to input the co-ordinates in decimal, we found it relatively quickly. The kids thought it was great.
Found ok in company whith Zucuinies juniors ,(Grand children) They did the calculations @ got them right after I pointed out that we were only surposed to have 7 numbers in the S co ordinates. A nice memorial. TFTC

After having a picnic lunch in the nearby park, sent the kids off with Grandpa to find this cache while I did a crossword. They went off and worked it all out (with a little bit of help from G'Pa) to successfully find this one.
Working north on the Bulli map led us to this one first. Did the calcs OK and made the stroll to the cache. Made a quick swap and decided against Avonside before heading further north. Thanks guys.
Found at 23:10 (a little difficult with a torch).
Left red, purple and blue sea creatures and took a sea shell.
The plan is to spread some of our oceany goodness with someone out Wagga/Griffith way, leaving the seashell as a neat gift.

Tbone and I were happy to complete this cache. We had visited many months ago but were beaten by not being able to find one of the clues. On return today we found it almost straight away. I can't believe I missed it. Anyway with at least the satisfaction of finding the final clue, I had pre-prepared a range of likely co-ords (which sadly didn't match the clue when finally revealed) so we headed back to GZ. Not much had changed but with the new found knowledge we began searching in an area we had dismissed the last time. Eventually eagle eyed Tbone spotted the cache and the deed was completed. Nice to do a multi!

Picked up a lot of interesting information from the memorial, but didn't find the cache. Got a bit scratched up in the lantana and found what looked like a good spot but no success.
Thanks for sharing some interesting information - we've often wondered about the significance of wearing rosemary and now we know why. Thanks also for getting us to see the Lone Pine and for the Craftily-hidden cache.
Thank you. Very interesting to see the pine from the seed of the original "Lone Pine". We enjoyed the read and calculate angle to the cache and the respect of placing it a small distance from the memorial. TFTC TNLN -- Gaztek
After a busy morning with GPS for other purposes, I had time to grab this one before returning home to gardening duties.
Nicely done. I loved the way that you had to read the cenotaph and the how the cache was placed a respectful distance away.
Good work guys. I really enjoyed this one.

We never managed to find the last cache hidden here as it was disabled before we had the chance to look.
Not the case with this one though. We had the oportunity, solved the clues and made the find.
Many thanks to you Krafty Charlie, Gribbly's & Frangipani Pixie for another adventure.

I always have mixed feelings when visiting memorials of this type. I find them fascinating and inspiring, yet sad at the same time. There are so many stories which will never be told, only hinted at on these markers.
A beautiful sunny winter Sunday morning, a great day to be outdoors. We stood at the memorial and paid our respects, then collected the required information, did the substitution and then wandered off in the indicated direction. Initially we chose the wrong side, but quickly realised our error, and were shortly standing at GZ. Mini Roo made the find, being more observant than Lucy. Thanks for the cache Krafty Charlie, the Gribblys and Franjipani Pixie

Have driven past here quite a few time but never knew there was a memorial or a scout hall. Found in the dark with GeoDog Jack. Very clever hide. T:GC L:GC TFTC.
Came out with Woodyson to have a look at this memorial. Nice small area of rememberance. Also now know the location of Korrahil scout hall. Thanks Krafty Charlie for bring us here. Left 2 coins and picked up another.
Great GZ for our very first ever geocache! Our family enjoyed the location and the find.
We enjoyed the history, and the mud too Gribbly... we saw the black cockatoo so you were there before us today...
Lots of goodies in the box that geocachers will appreciate.
Much thought and detail has gone into the setting up of this GZ and our family wishes to say a big thank you!
We didn't take nor leave anything other than a note in the log. It is definitely a GZ worth searching for and visiting.
The three decimal places of the location clue are important. My handheld GPS stating accurate to 4 metres had me standing there, and, I looked around and said, "hmmm".

After the initial proof read weeks ago and then the discussion where to place it, all I knew was that I now had to answer some questions!!! That wasn't in the proof read. So off Gribblet and I (Mrs Gribbly) went. We paid our respects (which was loong overdue) and went on a pleasant muddy walk. After clearing out the Gribblet's boot a few times the cache was ours!!!! Nice spot, great hide. Gribblet 1 took a pretty diamond toy and left a black Cockatoo.
We got back to the car and Gribbly was keen to do the find as well. He dropped off a coin.
