As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 21 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
This cash also seems long gone. It would be nice not to annoy visitors with DNF's. A new one could be put in this area. Unless of course hppo is able to fix.
Didn't have much luck in the Ohope Spit today! Hunted, hunted, dodged Muggles, hunted some more - found nothing.

Searched every possible fork.
Pretty sure it wasn't there.
Could Mr Hppo please confirm that it is still there.??

We found this after a round of golf on a gorgeous day ... lots of muggles around, but managed to quickly grab it! TNLN. TFTC!
SpencerStreetStation, a muggle friend of mine, found this and had no idea what it was so left a little message for his dad
Lovely spot thanks

A quick find, without to many muggles around early in the morning.
Left a pet rock a parrot. TFTC

Found it quite quickly. No golfing or fishing muggles around so we went undetected.
Found - tricky! Took a second visit when there where no muggles around fishing and managed to spy it pretty quickly!

Made the mistake of stopping early and walking but who cared as the weather was fab. took red handed geo coin and left kiwi carabine TFTC
Lovely out here - hope swiss dragonfly enjoys the beautiful place - but not for too long
Parked and ate a late lunch before looking for the cache. Found it exactly where we expected from the hint. Lovely spot, but a bit of a chilly wind today. Thanks.

Found this one on my trip through the north island. Visited some great places and saw heaps of cool stuff. Thanks for showing me around and thanks for the cache.

What a lovely peaceful spot, lots of fishermen around today, took B.O.S.N.'s 1000 Finds Geocoin Proxy. No sign of the other coins/TBs. TFTC.
Did this at night and found it quickly and easily before all the muggles returned.. One kid nearly ended up with a fishing hook in his foot (so be careful here barefoot)...
Stood in front of the car for 35 minutes watching the stars from here.. Amazing - Best spot we have found so far to view the sky with the naked eye... Thanks for the cache..

Had to be a bit stealthy here. I pretended to be really interested in the bird signage while hubby sneakily filled log in.
another good one for the kids. took ball bearing game, left barbie comb. T4TC
this was our 1st paperless cache - in fact, we did it completely blind - hadn't planned on being this far along the spit so had the co-ords in our GPSr from a pocket query & no other info. We were chuffed! In - Lady Bug; out - Fallen Heroes GC. TFTC
It was raining cats and dogs so we couldn't have a good look around. Placed a few Travelcoins and bugs. TFTC.
This was probably my first, "Oh, look, there's the cache!" cache. Usually it takes more time that I will admit to find them. It was a beautiful location, too, and fun to sit on the grass with my toes in the water while we filled out the log. TFTC!
Nice easy find. Another scorching afternoon and tempted to take a tip in the harbour! TFTC.
A nice quick find, and whilst there were a few vehicles nearby, no worries finding the cache. Cheers Gav [4817]
A quick find. Heaps of fun for the kids eating the blackberries nearby, watching the butterflies, playing in the water - with floating pumice, and the cache of course!
Nice easy find - plenty of muggles, but they couldn't see us. No golfers about. Lovely day.
Took Jeep TB, TFTC

Nice drive by. Grabbed the Tee TB others not there. Dropped in Pickle coin. TFTC Felix!
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 575. Thanks.
A quick find while trying to hide from the golfers and campers. A nice spot - TFTC
Nice spot - I remember coming here when having a school camp at Ohope many moons ago!
While we're sure this is a pleasant spot in fine weather, it certainly wasn't today. Mrs W.E.K.A. sent Mr W.E.K.A. out in the pouring rain to find it, fortunately quite quickly. We then watched a man and three young children with a bright yellow gadget in their hands set out towards the cache. But to our surprise they headed off into the distance. Was it a GPS or wasn't it? TFTC
Easy find while watching the golfers. I think I stuffed up the logging and logged the GC into GC1KEPC by mistake so this cache does have the geocoin I dropped off there. - coin TFTC
A lovely spot to visit. Glad the rain stopped in time for a bit of a wander. Retrieved the Aussie Geocoin to bring back to Wellington area.
Introduced some friends to geocaching. They thought it was great (even more than me)!
Another find on a blustery day. Thanks, hppo. I left the Shropshire Way Geocoin which I had found in the Hutt Valley and took the Shell Geocoin which I plan to relocate to the Hutt Valley or Wellington.
FOOOUURR!! Found the cache nice and quickly, and then emptied the cache contents onto the ground - whoops! I hope I found everything while scrambling in the dark. Really shouldve packed a torch. TFTC
My last cache for today as I have to travel as far a s Gisborne and it is already pretty late.
Left nice shell travel slug.

Found it 6/7/09 but didnt really know what to do so had to come back tonight 7/7/09 after studying up on this geocaching... TFTH!
By the time I had got myself organised to try this one, Geckoh had been and gone, so left it for a week. Nice afternoon out, not many people around, just a couple of hardy fishermen. TNLN TFTC

The second FTF of the evening, this one not as muggle free, even at 10.30pm there were a couple of cars in that area, I parked the van in such a way as to be in their space and they soon left, At first I thought they may have been Geocachers hunting for the FTF! Luckily they were just Fisherman.
We are coming back to this very area tomorrow (sunday) for the monthly Duathlon (first sunday of every month) so if there are any triathlete/duathlete geocachers out there we start at 11am (10am for kids), come along for some excercise and finish off with a cache!! I'll keep an eye out for someone hiding in the bushes as I run past!
[blue]TNLN SL, And again a big thank you to Hppo for adding to the caches in our neck of the woods.[/blue]

We often spend time at our friend's holiday home in Ohope, so there'll be no problems with maintenance.
