A nice quick find, first tome up the Horokiwi road, and a lovely view from GZ. I'll be bck!. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are heading North again to visit family. Today was just cruising around town, caching and seeing some of the sights.Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.

I had a lot of help solving this one, and as we were going close to GZ, decided to swing by to make the find. No problems with the cache here. Thanks for setting this up

27-Aug-22
This one had me stumped, until chatting to a previous finder pointed me in the right direction. Some evidence of recent maintenance activity at GZ, but found cache OK. All good inside. Thanks for a diabolical puzzle, and a new solving technique!

Tried a lot of approaches but would never have guessed the method a PAF eventually gave me. Quick find of a half buried cache today, interesting view indeed. TFTC waiiti20 / Cherrys Rule!

#1402. Anniversary Day trip up the hill to collect a couple of caches, one of them a DNF like this one, was on today’s agenda.

Feb 2019 was the earlier DNF for this, and nearly two years later, I return. My Belgian wwoofer Manon found this really quickly. A bit breezy here today, blow your head off weather.

Another waiiti20 find and thanks for maintaining Cherrys Rule.

(# 5906). Early Sunday morning is a good time to grab a few caches up in Horokiwi. Solved this some time ago and it was getting to me that these were the closest to home (as the crow flies) so decided to nail them. A quick find. Everything in order. A great view from here. TFTC

02-Feb-20
Solved in time to do at the 2018 Mega, but ran out of time on that occasion. Sh!t it's windy up here. TFTC

# 1707 Like GSEL, i had looked at this one off and on a lot of times and had tried to extract some meaning from the screeds and screeds of text. Then i tried something different, and it then suddenly became solved for me! Smile Was a bit disappointed that it wasnt there when I first searched, and didnt expect to ever get around to finding a replacement, but got the message from Cherrys Rule that it was back online (thanks GSEL) and so took a side trip from a shopping trip to find it.. Happy i didnt puncture the car tyre this time either... Must admit she is a SHOCKING place to find a park, so be aware of that... and its not really a walking road either.... should get a higher terrain rating just for that fact!

But such a unique puzzle, cheers to waiiti20 for the puzzle and Cherrys Rule for adopting.

#7355. This puzzle has been looked at numerous times since I started geocaching and I really had no idea how to solve it. It took a hint swap to get me off the starting blocks but there were still a few hurdles to overcome before I finally had some useful coordinates. I drove past here a couple of weeks ago with a previous finder who gave me a better idea of where I needed to look but the recent DNF's were not encouraging. Contacted the CO and offered to replace the cache if it was indeed missing. I got permission to do so.

Today I was back in the area and Mrs GSEL dropped me off while I went to check the likely hiding spots. After searching carefully around all the main contenders and digging around the debris at the base I was certain this cache was gone. The activity at this site looks to be continuing. So put the cache 5-10m away in a more secure place and hopefully the hint will be updated to reflect this. At this stage look for a white post. Dropped off a camoed pill container with fresh log sheet. Thanks to the late waiiti20 for introducing me to this type of communication and Cherrys Rule for adopting the cache. Interesting view as well.

A great puzzle but nothing to find at GZ. Got a flat tyre for my troubles too.

26-Feb-19
Oh, so sad. Having solved the mystery, first one like this (a waiiti20 special maybe?), I was confident of a quick grab. But no, either I was up the spout, or what? Everything about my supposed GZ ticked the boxes, but still came up empty-handed.

I'll post an update when I've been to have a look.

Solved a while ago. Quick find where all good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie.

Another puzzle solved some time ago, and made the quick detour tonight to grab. Log very damp so added a piece of paper to log the find. TFTC

10-Jun-18
That was an interesting puzzle with a totally new concept for hiding information Not exactly a subtle or elegant method for doing that but certainly different If some have solved it manually then I'm amazed Final was an easy find but it is totally sodden I dried log between sheets of paper just enough to sign Sorry I did not have spare paper Suggest CO checks some time Thanks Cherrys Rule and Waiiti20

Looked at this a year or two ago and didn't have a clue. Looked at it again and tried a new approach and had answer within a minute. Headed to Game zone this evening before dark and made a surprisingly quick find. Log sheet itself quite damp but all wetness in plastic bag as container itself all dry. Thanks for the puzzle and thanks for the cache. Enjoyed the view. Two very different views at different angles.

A great day to be out geocaching with tmann421.

Thanks to tmann I was able to log this one. A nice quick find on arrival.

Cache # 2,785 - been trying to solve this one for several years now. Finally found the right key, and it was simple after that. The trip to the GZ this morning was less harrowing than expected, and I was greeted by a quite different view. All is well with the cache, although the logsheet could use replacement sometime soon - still room, but it is getting a little worn around the edges. TNLNSL. TFTC!

An early morning find without any problems. Solved the puzzle quite some time ago and its been sitting in the 'to do' pile. Not going to be able to get out for a few weeks so it was nice to be able to find a cache this morning. TFTP&C

26-Sep-15
Solved a while back so can't remember how I did it now. The hardest thing we found today was finding a park within reasonable distance of GZ but managed in the end and the cache was a quick and easy find. TFTC

Puzzle was a quick solve, more simple than it looked! Enjoyed amazing views from this windy, windy spot today. TFTC

We know that kind of code. It took not long to get the solution and we started our way to the final GZ. We signed without any problems.

Tried and tried for a long time to solve this puzzle. I could not see the pattern. Recently I was looking up some info on an unrelated cache and spotted something familiar. It is amazing what some people will do. Locating the cache was so much easier. TFTC.

A cool puzzle to solve and not too tricky really. A quick find on a cold and very windy night with Skaga for number 8 of our 10 in 10 puzzle challenge streak.

#976 Day 8 of a 10 day puzzle streak. Not much of a view from up here tonight and didn't stay too long because of the howling wind! Found with Nic-jay and Aga. TFTC!

For a road to nowhere this was sure one busy place to be, I think 6 cars passed in the 3-4 minutes to collect this log and return it.
Great spot and one I'll be sure to return to. tftc.

A fun cache. I must confess however that due to the strong winds the original container ended up flying spectacularly over the edge. I have replaced the container with a pill bottle. Sorry. TFTC

Wow the quarry has certainly had an impact on the gully that once was. Solved the cache after receiving a wee hint, and picked up the cache on one of those classic Wellington days with cloudless days with no wind. TFTP

Really surprised at how few people have taken advantage of this amazing offer..... like many others, solved a while back, but needed to wait to be in the area. Was a touch worried that the wind was going to blow the log away (NOT a good thing!) but signed and returned appropriately. I now await the millions being deposited into my bank account...

A great puzzle, I first looked at it and moved on right away putting it in the 'too hard pile'. Revisted and figured out how to do it.

Great spot, I hadn't been up here before.

I finally got around to looking at this from the right angle a few days ago so tonight I dropped in to the final while passing. An interesting final location with great views - thanks for bringing me here and for a fun puzzle. TFTC

When I first looked at this puzzle I thought "there's no way I'll be able to solve this one", and promptly moved on. Took another look a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled on an unexpected result, and voila! Interesting indeed. The littlejardisliketardises and I drove to GZ today, never been up this way before. The cache was an easy find, although some local arachnids were raising a family in its hidey hole, which presented more of an intellectual than a physical challenge to grab the cache! TFTC

Found this one while going to the end of the road to where I thought I could access a cache I wanted to go to but it ended up being not the way, found this one on the way back out, nice hide, bit of dodgy parking required on our part to lessen the need to walk, lol.

I looked at this puzzle some time ago and had absolutely no idea how to solve it, so I just printed out the desription to have a later look. A few weeks ago, I returned to the task and did some research without really knowing where that would head. I stumbled across something unexpected and thought I would give that a try. To my surprise, an answer was produced that made perfect sense.

I turned up a GZ to find my co-ordinates did not take me at all close to a flax bush which would conceal a regular sized cache. That is a consequence of not reading logs first, although I prefer that process to avoid spoilers. A second visit resulted in an instant find. TFTC.

And a great view too - thank goodness Streetwalker was driving as I am very nervous of these sorts of roads. Thanks for the extra safety instructions too.

Cache has been muggled - will sort something out in the next few days.

Took me ages to solve the puzzle and had to email the owners for a clue, then I had it sussed. Lovely day to leave work early and try and find this, didn't have clue on me but was pretty sure I had it right. Looked for about 20min (got funny looks from cars driving past) but couldn't find it, came home and confirmed I was in the right place - will try again some time, but did have a pretty good look, hope its not muggled

Solved this cache last night but decided that I would leave it till today as I was going to be driving pass this area in the morning, yes it is definitely a great spot to visit, have never being here before and it is a spot that is worth visiting during the daytime as per webpage. Having trouble keeping up with things lately, caches seem to be getting published faster than I can find them. So, no Shorty Street tonight Wink as a bit of mid-week night caching was required.

Didn't want to miss out on a placing on a good puzzle cache which I'll admit was the main motivator to get me off the couch, and just squeaked in for the 3TF. Quite a bit of reading involved here on the description, but good to get the brain thinking about doing some puzzle caches again, it's been a bit lazy in that department lately.

Nice pleasant night and an interesting spot. Dropped off Bunya's Found It! Geocoin.
Many thanks for the cache.
