Logs
Quick find. Replaced container.Found with Mogni and JJ52. All logs stamped as JAMS. It was a day when the JAMS crew got together again or at least three out of the five of us. Plan A was to do the Abandoned railway trail on e-bikes but Allister is out with injury so, Plan B was a day the three of us ( the remianing one is STILL on holiday, that is a dam long holiday ) and host a CITO in propect ( i need a CITO in that LGA ) on sunday and find caches " in that general area ), Mogni decided we needed to attend a event on the yorke's on saturday. So Plan C was born. Off to the Yorke's it was, the first cache found was in Kulpara and then working down to Port Victoria then over to the Welcome to the Yorke Valley Dam event and some tasty food provided and then some more caching to our overnight accommodation in Adrossan. Sunday saw us caching along the coast on the way home, somehow taking a detour through Mallala before getting to prospect to host Cane Reserve Clean up CITO, I even got a cacher from England at the CITO. 80 finds plus labs for the weekend away, it wasn't about the numbers, it was about a relaxing time away. Any caches that were found broken/cracked/etc were replaced and any full log books were replaced.
Out again with the Stooges gang. Hitting some more artwork and other targeted D/T caches.
Drive by this one so just had to stop and find it.

Here we are, the 3 Stooges (weredunn4, WayneAPN and myself) hit the beautiful Yorkes Peninsula again.
This time we are targeting the Sea Horse series of caches and is often the case with us, no doubt there will be a few other bonus caches along the way.
A typical day out for us now, going hard for caches but truckloads of trash-talk, banter and laughs
All caches located & stamped, and most importantly, maintenance performed where needed.

Found with Wal & Ol as we enjoy a caching getaway. Cache is in good condition, TFTC!
Had a day trip to get some caches from Kulpara and Arthurton, as well as more of the Gone Fishn’ series. All caches in good condition unless indicated in log. TFTC
Thanks Aussie M & M for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance. Find #8324 on 25/4/2023 at 11:16 am.
A day trip north to collect some smilies. Some caching therapy after a solid month of designing puzzles and placing caches. I can’t pass the opportunity of good weather and a mid week public holiday. Respect to the fallen.
Caches were in good condition unless stated otherwise. I signed the log myself with my stamp or with pen and returned as found. Maintenance was performed if required to make sure caches were in good condition for the next finder. Thanks for the fun.

This morning we have met up with Gum-Ako to do a section of the fishing line series.
At the end of the day we stopped to find a couple of caches on our way home.
The farming paddocks look amazing, it was apleasure to be driving in the country for this series.
Thanks for placing this cache.
Out early on a chilly winters morning with iluvtrekking but at least it isn’t raining. Love these old ruins. This one could be a renovators delight. The walls are still straight - just needs a roof and internal fit out. Thanks for the hide.
TFTC nice find quick drive by out and about with geo wife LynSteNet another smiley face and a great day out collecting smileys

I Love seeing these old buildings & only imagining how much hard work it was for those that built these little structures. I also wonder what secrets these walls hold, the history stored in the 4 walls.
Thanks for sharing this lovely location with us today. The log was signed & dated before being returned back to its hiding place.

Day 196 (Thursday 12th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Pt Wakefield today. A total of 122 for the day and 3986 for the trip. TFTC
The new container left by brisal5 means that this cache no longer needs maintenance.
A quick stop here, is this lost heritage? Cache is all good
Today was a great day out, after staying in port Hughes for the night. I got up to collect a few caches around the area before I had a bike race in moonta. After racing was over I was in a mission to find my 10,000th find whilst making my way back to Adelaide. A great day out overall.

Nice piece of history here we found the newly placed cache along with the old damaged container. TFTC and the history, this is quite a relic
What an interesting spot. Brisal has placed a replacement cache here for you and we signed that one today (so you no longer need to do maintenence per Phetlern's log).
We stamped the logs today with our "GoodLook & Feathertop" stamp.
A spontaneous trip to the YP with my great buddy Sally. We started early as we only had the day to cache - so we focussed on completing the last of the "Gone Fishn'" trail that we started at the end of 2017.
Sal and I also ventured off to do a handful of other caches in the area before leaving the YP.
Thanks so much for placing and maintaining the cache DustyandDizz! [^]

Off for another Puzzled Puzzlers caching Wednesday adventure. Again it was myself, S.A. Sewer rats and Blackadders heading for the Copper Triangle for a day of laughs, fun and smilies. But today we had decided we would cache until dark, have a bite to eat and continue with some night caching.
But as usual we had to get there first and decided on a convoluted route via Arthurton would be the way to go. [^] Oh boy the cache was a quick find but as previously stated the container was broken and was one again full of water and the log a pile of mush. Left that in place and added a new container and log book for future finders to sign until owner can swing by and collect the old one. All good to go again.
**Thanks DustyandDizz for this cache. ** You can remove the spanner.

This cache appears to be in need of owner attention. The lid is broken and no longer weatherproof. Container has succumb to the efflux of time and weather.

So many caches, so little time! This is one of a variety of caches we were able to find as we made our way to Port Wakefield, the first overnight stop on our journey home. This one is not travelling so well - container is cracked and the contents are wet.

Found with FUF009.
We headed out of St Arnaud, VIC early this morning and drove practically non stop to Minlaton with either totally random stops for caches or specifically selected caches.
It felt like a very quick drive despite it actually being about 8 hours all up.
Such a nice change of scenery and nice for both of us to have free range caching rather than the limited range St Arnaud has left for FUF009 and difficult Melbourne caching for me.
All caches found were in good form unless mentioned at the start of my log.
Apologies for the generic log but I just can't do individual logs after the mass of caches that were found. I'm so tired they all have merged into one big cluster.
Thanks to all the COs for their hides. Tftc

On the final day of caching Yorke Peninsula with J+J. We had to stop earlier last night than expected due to the dreadded rain started to fall. Unknown to us in the morning was just how much rain fell! One local farmer later told us there was 15mm of rain overnight.
The extra water made our caching trip wet, and very muddy. The final highlight was having to be towed out off a muddy road by an 8 wheeled tractor!
Thanks for the all the caches.

This was day 1 of our adventure and we made our way out of the City and headed towards the underwater themed geo art [^].
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to postiegirl06 for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache LKPS today. This is my find #6595 and find #73 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again postiegirl06 for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

On Easter weekend I went to South Australia with KTCvic, zobo04, Gonefishin07, BorisB&Natasha, De Ja Vu and Bounty Trackers.
Everyone had a great time there finding 471 caches in 24 hours. Finding a total of 640 throughout the weekend that we were staying up there. All the caches were well hidden and some were difficult and some were easy to find. We had great time trying to be the person to find the cache before the others. Surprising us on Easter Sunday morning the Easter bunny had visited us in the night.
Thanks for all of the wonderful caches.

Easter Weekend - Yorke Peninsular - 3000kms - 640 caches - 4000 cache milestone.
After discussions with Gonefishen07 and Bounty Trackers a plan was hatched to visit the Yorke Peninsular to tackle the fish geo art over Easter. We set out Thursday lunchtime heading to Bordertown, a side trip to Minyip to check out Coopers Crossing was made. Friday we turned off at Murray Bridge and headed to Gawlar to check out Gawlar's Fort Knox, we had lunch at Port Wakefield before heading down to Marion Bay to meet everyone. The group Geo Nerds comprise of Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Velocachu and BorisB&Natasha. We cached locally on Friday afternoon and hit the powertrails in earnest on Saturday where we finished on Sunday lunchtime. We then visited a number of caches on the coast to see some magnificent views. Monday saw us depart Marion Bay heading up to Balranald through Renmark grabbing a cache in three states in one day! A detour to Tocumwal then the drive back to Melbourne saw a fantastic weekend end. Thank you to Leesa, Zoe, Ash, Rob, Kate and Sioux for the fun, frivolity and friendship that made the weekend so great!
After packing up and saying our farewells we checked out the Jetty at Marion Bay before venturing north to see an old school. We had lunch at Auburn, a lovely town and wound our way through Renmark across to Mildura and finally stopping at Balranald. Not a lot of caches today but we did manage to achieve a cache in three states!!!
Another piece of history and an old school building, sitting here with Campbell imagining what it would be like attending this school. Thanks for bringing us here.
Thank you for all the placers and cache owners we had a fantastic time!!!

So lets get as many caches as we can along the way so for 5 minutes I will have more finds. Nothing like a little friendly competition. Geo Nerds Yorke Peninsula caching exposition consist of Borisb&Natasha, Zobo04,De Ja Vu, KTCvic, Gonefishen07, Velocachu & Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and myself Bounty Trackers left on Wednesday morning with one objective, to get Gonefishen07 cache finding count higher than KTCvic who was about 100 cache in front. We spent 2 days straight chasing caches all the way from Gippsland in Victoria to The York Peninsula in SA, where we finally got 8 caches ahead of KTCvic. The smile on Gonefishen face said it all ( I think the comment was made CATCH ME NOW Trenty ).
Along our journey we made a side trip to Gawler to get the multi Fort Knox cache which was on our hit list. What a brilliant cache. Well worth the detour. It will be getting a favorite point from me.
On Friday Velocachu, KTCvic & De Ja Vu graced up with there presents and it was time to start the Yorke Peninsula Geo Art Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, Fish, Anchor, some of Fish Tales,Sammy Starfish and most of the Boat, we then did Sally starfish, and the rest of Fish Tales and then finished with the leftover boat.
Milestone achieved
Velocachu 500
Zobo04 2000
Borisb&Natasha 2000
De Ja Vu 3000

I have never cached outside of Victoria, nor in a group and I was really looking forward to it.
Every single one of us achieved a very memorable milestone made even more special because they were achieved with very special friends.
Thank you so much to the many COs for the time and effort in placing their caches. I'm sure it enables many groups like ours to get together, have lots and lots of fun and form life long friendships, all in the quest for little pieces of treasure.
We spent quite a bit of time here exploring the old school house and imagining what it would have been like all those years ago. Thank you for showing us this lovely piece of history and gets a favourite point from me.

Camped at Paskeville bowling club, and ventured to pick up a few caches in the area.
A pleasant drive in the country and we enjoyed the scenery.
We picked up a good variety of caches, some a little trickier to find than others.
Very hot and humid today, so we headed back to the caravan early.
Cache located after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, postiegirl06, for us and others to find.

Heading to Arthurton for the 3 day clearing sale--3 days, that's huge!
This was one I found on the way.
This will need attention before winter.

Water was along the side of the road from the rain of the previous 12 or so hours. I had to work my way around because I didn't want to get my footwear drenched and have wet feet for the rest of the day with friends in Maitland. Eventually got to the cache. Great spot, love seeing old school schools.
Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today was a moving day as we are heading towards Yorke Peninsula.
We stopped at your cache as it was along our route.
Thanks for bringing us here.

With the promise of fantastic spring weather and a long weekend allowing for an extended caching trip, locus cache, clare007 and I made our way to the central region of the Yorke Peninsula with the aim of cleaning out as many caches as we could. TFTC postiegirl06!
What a fantastic couple of days! [^]
Sunday and Monday I enjoyed the company of RideTheGeoWalrus and Clare007 as we cached in an area that I have not cached in before.....therefore I enjoyed what is now a rare concept for me......not having to dodge previously found caches in order to find a cache to locus cache on
We found dust, mud, caches, views, trees and lots of laughs as we drove around and exhausted ourselves doing 115 smileys with 9 DNFs (although we went back later and got finds on several of these DNFs) and one event attended...with only us three there It's always good to CITO!
With CO's permissions, we also did quite a bit of cache maintenance as many logs were full or wet or both and several containers were broken or missing.
If any CO whose cache we visited really wants their old log back, then email me and I will try and work out which old log it is and return it to you.
I htink we all would have loved to have had a look inside the building but being good little geocachers, we stayed outside the private land fence line.

We had two days of some perfect caching weather while driving down central Yorke Peninsula with
Locus cache & RideTheGeoWalrus.
Thought the name was rather curious, until we pulled up near the plaque and it all made sense.
Cute little school, pity we couldn't have a closer look.
Thanks Postiegirl06 for bringing us here.

Another quick find on the road to Moonta. Well, we started out going in that direction but caching has taken us on a dogleg the wrong way - but caches are calling so all's good.
Found it pretty quickly, luckily as it was a freezing, winters day. Thanks.
Geez PostieGirl and Ciril you both get about! The non geo spidermonkey decided he would like to drive home to Adelaide from Stansbury a different way.....mmmm... always dangerous, but interesting stop. Both kids used the spot for a call of nature with the non geo kid wondering, out loud, whether they were growing special weed inside the building??? Took nothing, left nothing, thanks for the adventure. TBs visited
Took a while to find. GPS all over the place. But found it eventually ... Looking way too hard! Tftc
