I've been looking at this cache for about 15 years way back when I was trying to do all caches Bushfire and failing a lot of the time. This one felt very out of reach. Firstly I was very inexperienced way back then and didn't know how to do multi's. Once I got better, then I didn't have time and wasn't caching much. Recently, I finally went out and did the numbers. Today on Geelong Cup the tree climbing monkey and I had the day off so we headed out for a tree climb followed by lunch at Burgers Plus. He declared this one of the best tree caches he had done, so a FP for you and thanks for keeping this one going!
Certain non caching events got me to town for the weekend and on letting ADI know we soon had a list of targets. After a some equipment failure for another tree cache we cut our losses and headed to this multi. We worked our way around until the final. Well we thought our coords were good but the cache was out of sight so up and up we went until it was spotted and in reach. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
This cache was really out of reach! So my good friend b@w did his thing & went upAfter my name reached the logbook & his feet touched the floor, he showed me where the cache was!! Too high for me... I would have tried but I was told that the gap between some branches was too long for me, which made this cache unsafe for me to attempt. Thank you Bushfire, for creating, placing and to Donutholes for maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
When catnap777 and I blew into town with brand new togs, a brand new squid pole and our tusty telescopic ladder, our main mission was to attend the hamfish's T4 event on the central platform inside the Eastern Beach Swimming Enclosure. Our next target was anything that needed the more specialist TOTTs we had brought along with us..... none of which helped us one iota on this old multi with all way points and the final "Out of Reach" for any of them. WP1 tested old eyes, but was easy enough, and WP2 gave us some numbers that couldn't be argued with..... but that was where the wheels fell off. We couldn't make the math work. It took a PAF to get back on track. We asked for a nudge and got what we needed. All we had to do was round down and the rest all worked. [^]Out of Reach was no longer out of reach. In the end our best TOTTs were the cameras on our phones, and a pen for the math and the log at GZ. Thankfully neither of us are either acrophobic or chiroptophobic. Either condition would have left the clean and dry log unsigned by us on this journey. TFTC bushfire, and thanks for looking after it Donutholes. [^] Fav added. Thanks Laurie for the PAF.
We have been looking at this multi on and off for a good while now, and dalerious had looked at it well before I came on the scene , but for one reason or another it was always placed on the back burner. When you read the cache notes, and you already have a long list of caches to get done, in the short amount of time you have to do them in, you tend to say, yeah, nah. But in natural fact, once you get your head around the initial method, working through the cache was a breeze. I am not saying it went smooth as silk, but after speaking to a good friend, who happens to know this cache like the back of his hand (Bushfire), we were well and truly on our way to Victory .We loved each waypoint and the way you utilised things already in the environment for the basis of the cache. It all worked so well. I particularly thought that was very clever. We also loved the fact, that with this multi, you really did earn the d/t. It wasn't just handed to you.Thank you for the experience Bushfire, and thank you Donutholes for taking care of it for our mutual friend, who is loved and respected by the whole geocaching community. This one, we are glad to say wasn't Out of Reach! Favourite point given .
This seems strange to be logging a cache that I have visited so many times since placing way back on the 20th June 2009.
Like all cache placements it has had its problems but it still stands there for all to see and enjoy.
I was much fitter back then and now it is beyond me especially since I was diagonised with MND.
Finally, I must thank my good friend Kim from Donoutholes for looking after this guy as it has got to to the stage when I must pass it on and wish it good luck for the future. I know it is in good hands.
And lastly, I will give it another favourite because I can now. Thanks for all the great logs that have been placed over many years.

What an amazing cache. I really enjoyed the challenge at the end, took a friend with me to make sure I didn’t fall out of the tree. Just keep climbing up! TFTC
I've had the coords for GZ for a while now and I kept umming and aahing on when I would go for the attack.
This afternoon was the plan and I let my mates know I was going for it (they have found this cache before) Ausfox offered to come and watch/spot me and call the ambulance if needed.... I thought he was joking until I arrived at GZ!! It took a little bit to spot the cache but as soon as I did, the climb up commenced.
I felt like I got up the tree in good time. The hardest bit was trying to get the cache open and then get the pen out of my pocket. Very happy to say the cache is signed and replaced ready for its next visitor. Loved the adventure so a FP coming your way .
Thanks Ausfox for your help today!!

Boom took 6 months but I finally succeeded in finding and reaching what had remained "Out of Reach" for so long... My first serious climb to a cache, damn in was fun TFTC... Definitely a favorite from me and the TB

Found by The Empire with Snap Happy and TR! with Tritonz and Bushfire himself!
We met up with some fellow cachers who were replacing the log, and the container in the park this afternoon. We had a chat, discussed options for the hide etc and Snap had some bits and pieces to replace the hide and log. Thanks for the opportunity to log this one as I had the final co-ords ready to go for the climb. A quick stamp and we were on our way. Thanks for the cache Bushfire, favourite point added!

Day 3 of our epic trek to the St Arnaud Mega via Geelong. As you do.
The constant was my travel companion for the entire trip, - Anymules. but we were joined by almost local cacher Bushfire for a lot of the escapades
Today was to be our kayaking adventure along a stretch of the Barwon. [^] The weather didn't look good but the kayaks got wet but then so did I. The waterproof GPS decided it wasn't any longer waterproof and stopped working as did the phone we had. [:(!] Luckily the GPS was an old one used for kayaking but it was back to the digs for the new one, a change of clothes and back to visiting waypoints for the numerous multi caches and epic multi stage mysteries started on previous visits and the previous two days. This is how the day unfolded
Out of reach and out of sight. Up I climbed to where the branches started to get a little thin and a little dead. Found a rope hanging from a branch with nothing more than frayed end. The ground crew called the owner for help. Disregard the rope, in closer to the trunk - a sneaky hide.
**Thanks SpeedyBushfire for this cache. **

As this is a jointly owned cache and I have been told thet the container is missing ai will have to construct a new one after the Mega.
We came and looked and climbed and found this one needing some repairs. A phone discussion while up the tree with the CO was had and this one may need some further attention.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Maths is not my strong point. I have been working on this since January and kept getting put off by just thinking about the maths. However I am a keen climber so was finally time to finish this one off! With Pac-Man for company (and maths help!) I made my way to GZ where a fun climb was had. Super impressed by your work bushfire. Thanks for a fun afternoon!!
I have a bit of history with this cache.
I first attempted this cache back in 2012 - I was new to geocaching and it was possibly my first multi before I knew anything about waypoints. I remember standing at WP1 with my mate CT_ZA one night, wondering why there were instructions about what to look out for on signs , totally unrelated to any container. The bottom line is we looked for a cache at WP1 and obviously found nothing ...
Over the next couple of years I made my way to the next WPs, at the rate of about 1/year.
Fast forward a few years and I was placing a cache at Eastern Park. Reviewer says nope, there's already a cache around there [8]. Aha, I could guess which one it was . But I didn't climb many trees back then . Then I became a sort of tree climber [^] and this GZ was back on the radar.
Last year when there was a full 2 years of 'unloved' on it I was making plans to head to Geelong to claim my find here when I was beaten to it by BFMC [B)]. Okay, I'll wait another 2 years...
Fortuitously I was in the area today, and so was anikano who was cleaning out the caches in this area, when we teamed up to solve some creative challenges nearby. And then it was off to GZ here.
anikano made her way up and up quite quickly, while I made my way up a lot more slowly. By the time I found possible signs of where the previous 'mickey mouse' cache had been she was already at the top of the tree. She made it look easy, but taking nothing away from her courage she does have youth on her side...
Thanks for this multi that has tormented and teased me since the first week I started caching, Bushfire - it sure deserves a FP from me!

This was a big multi! WP1 was fairly straight-forward and simple, But with waypoint 2 I had some troubles until I spotted what I was looking for and continued on my path. WP4 was were the trouble started. I was there for abou half an hour just looking for the information. Soon I went home and asked the CO for help. Well aparently you needed binoculars but I had the coordinates for GZ and I just needed a day to find it.
Well I was down at the waterfront today collecting the 1st WP for The Holy Grail and after my swim I headed up to get this cache. I had done high tree climbs before so this was no different. I quickly made it to the cache and I was suprised, there were two Australian half pennies! I haven't seen those before. So I went down again to get some swaps and then swapped one of the coins for a mini sewing kit and a Lego eraser. There is still one left . Well anyway thanks Bushfire for the challenge and the cache.

Finally. I did it. I hate heights, and the lower logbook no longer existing meant this cache and I were never going to be friends.
So much I could write about this one. Collecting each WP was pretty good. Needed a little help/clarification on the second to last but other than that all went well. Then GZ. I reckon I have visited GZ at least half a dozen times, some of those I didnt even leave the ground. Today, the desire for unloved days outgrew my fear of heights. I had to make this happen. Just don't look down. Cracking weather to be up that high, blue skies and more importantly little to no wind. All I could think about while signing/reading the logbook was 'Dont drop it....'
TFTC, a well deserved FP not only for a well designed multi, but for getting my feet well off terra firma.

I looked and could not even see where it was...so I did not climb into the unknown. Maybe a fireman's ladder needed????

Sorry for the late log bushfire.
Sims_family mum had done all the work for this one over time but we just hadn't got around to doing the retrieval of this bad boy. Today Neville_devil and I were cleaning up some of the least kid friendly caches around. This one being so high was on our radar. We were planing on finding both levels of this one but the lower one seemed to be missing. we did however find the higher version and added our names to the log book. Thank you bushfire for your efforts on this one

WOW-this took a while!
After a big lunch at a nearby restaurant, i left the family and headed to WPT . Collected the numbers (after tripping on a gutter near GZ) and headed off to nearby WPT 2. Found the numbers easily however the tiles were hard to find but the i remembered the name of the cache and all was well.
was planning on heading home however distant relatives were keen to see what a geocache looked like so we stopped at WPT 3 and soon had the numbers needed which put us on track for WPT 4. This is were the trouble started...
after 30 minutes of looking and squinting, there was no way I was ever going to be able to read that! fast forward to today and on the bike this cold morning lead me to WPT 4 where a had a rather heavy pair of binoculars in my backpack ready to go.Got the letters and onto GZ.
Spent 30 minutes climbing up and around a tree with no luck. a wander around and about 50 metres away was were I was supposed to be. saw the extreme cache from the ground but couldnt see the stupid cache (I'm guessing it was the extreme cache as notes in logbook indicated it and it was right at the top of the tree).
So started climbing up and up and up and up, wow this is a big tree! eventually got there and signed the log. climbed down and spent a good 10 min looking for the 'stupid' cache but no luck.
Well im glad I got up to the 'extreme' cache and I have to applaud you on your efforts getting a cache up here!
as always, a great hide and many thanks to Snap Happy and Bushfire for the effort gone into this cache.

I haven't done this multi for so long due to the fact I hate heights and climbing trees wasn't something I grew up doing. But today was a different day and I thought why not. The multi was quite a long one to work out but once that was out of the way, the climb was the interesting part. I looked up and saw the very top container and then noticed something a little lower. hmmm. No I will try for both. I made the first one with no nerves whatsoever but the container was a little reach to grab for where I felt safe. The camo-ed container seemed seemed to be cross threaded as I found it so after signing I replaced as best as I could. Then the climb to the other one. Where? up there. I got a little lost but was soon on the way again. I made my way to the top container as well and signed that one too [^] I felt preety good with myself after making it back down to Terra firma.
[blue]Thanks for this multi cache, Speedy Bushfire. Cache and log in good condition TNLN [/blue]

Great little bit of math in this one!
Only took about an hour with the help of Jacko83.
Also; don't love heights too much; so didn't get too the hardest log.

Wow what a treasure hunt! Had to spread this one out over two days as I ran out of daylight at stage 3. This was one of the most challenging caches I have found, I did a lot of walking! Good to use the brain to do math and problem solving for a change. I had to come back to stage 4 as I was lacking in equipment, ended up using the zoom lens on my camera. I must have bungled my bearing calculation as it put me out in the water so I trusted my gut that I got the distance correct and I had. Awesome tree climb, nice and sturdy, signed both logs, glad I'm not afraid of heights! Thanks SpeedyBushfire, awesome cache, appreciate all the hard work that went into putting this together.
had an awesome time with matty.d. out for his first cache, after a quick trip up to the extreme the log was signed and we were on our way! Tftc had fun
Apparently the normal "wimps" version has been muggles! Rest assured the extreme is still.... But no pen went up
We had started on this one a little while ago, but ran out of light to get the final coordinates, after getting a hint from the Co to help with the finals, we set of today to add a smiley to this one, we arrived at GZ and seen the mission at hand and decided to go the full hog and sign both of the caches, it made it so much easier since I'm half monkey, thanks for the cache Bushfire, a favourite point headed your way.
Came back today and put my bane on extreme. Just so I could know I can do it, and to get my name in that log! Great climb, glad I returned to not defeated!
Tftc Came back to get extreme very windy bit of rain but here i am so lets get up there not as high as it seems when climbing but a hell of climb that bit it!!
A blustery cold winters day won't hold me back from coming out this way for a spot of caching and stopping here to have a look for this cache which was found with accurate co-ords and in good condition.
Do not attempt during strong wind - check

Oh well, we're here, capable and we've got a small event going on so yep, lets do it!
I quite like going out on a limb for a cache like this.
Thanks SpeedyBushfire for making this an enjoyable day exploring.

Although not initially planned for today, the stars aligned and we found ourselves having a go at this cache.
Call me stupid, but I opted not to be extreme today. With all limbs intact I was able to sign the log and then descend back down.

It's the Monday of the Queen's Birthday weekend and Rebel Acts and I want to travel to Geelong to clean up all the caches north of the Barwon River. While we were not successful in getting them all we were able to find 50 caches at a rate of 1 cache every 10 minutes. We also had a chance meeting with Ballarat team HIGHROD just before they left for home.
On a few occasions we used the help of the self-proclaimed Geelong Geocaching HQ (Bushfire) to help us along the way. While the weather was cold, the pace was enough to see me caching in a t-shirt for most of the day and night, until the fog descended of course.
We took teh easy option and moved off.
A great time was had and some really good caches discovered. Thanks to the CO's for their efforts. We will return..

This was fun. When we got to GZ, Glanville Girls Geokid climbed to first base for the log. Thanks for the cache. Cool cache. A favourite.
Another great cache found today in the company of Beckster 22, MCLookers and Tomstache. Geokid made the climb. She was keen to go all the way to the top. But geo dad and geo grandma were having palpitations on terra firma and put a stop to any further climbing. Thanks for the hide Bushfire. Another favourite added.
We gathered the information for this during the day today. We did need some help at the waypoint before GZ as we did not read the attributes and we did not have a key piece of equipment with us. Note to self.
At GZ, Glanville Girls Geokid went up first. We felt that first base was quite high enough for a 10 year old. The log was sent back down to base, signed and taken back up by McLookers Geokid to be passed back for positioning. Thanks for the multi Bushfire, a challenge we really enjoyed.

Out with Glanville Girls, Tomstache and McLookers, we collected the information with a bit of help. Geo grandkid {Glanville Girl} made the climb to the first cache and was keen to go on,but I wasn't happy about that. great hide. Thanks.
FINALLY I can grab a smiley on this cache after signing both logs yesty with some fellow Geelong Geocachers =] it has been in my sights since I started caching, just never got around to doing it, so when Chris said he was keen and I was free, of course we were going to join forces!
Usually, I would be up the tree in a flash but I had new tracky dacks on that my Aunty had only given me the day before and I didn't have all the energy in the world. So I thank the boys for doing the hard [or fun] work!
I might do the climb with another geobuddy another day! Fair is fair.
Cheers and T.F.T.C.

What a fun cache. Brought out my inner monkey. It's been years since I've climb anything like that!
Teamed up in the afternoon with the fantastic Frog_Lady so we could both finally put a smiley face to this cache.
Geo12yo was all to eager to make the climb but I didn't think that he should have all the fun!
We could see from the base where we needed to climb and could just make out and see the higher cache waaaaaay up there. Spotted the lower one instantly also and proceeded up, up and up and then up. Did I mention we had to climb up?
Thanks to Speedy stamps & Bushfire for the cache & climb

Teamed up in the afternoon with the fantastic Frog_Lady so we could both finally put a smiley face to this cache.
Geo12yo was all to eager to make the climb but I didn't think that he should have all the fun!
We could see from the base where we needed to climb and could just make out and see the higher cache waaaaaay up there. Spotted the lower one instantly also and proceeded up, up and up and then up. Did I mention we had to climb up?
Thanks to Speedy stamps & Bushfire for the cache & climb

Up there you say !!
I started this cache about 12 months and decided to finish it today as I had a very rare few hrs to myself.
So Geojunior and I completed the puzzles and ended up at Gz.
That is a good climb.
Managed the first easy level easy enough , and then decided to move on to level 2. Frustratingly , the pen wouldn't work at the required moment , so a photo log was approved by the co.
Thanks for the fun Bushfire. A good outing.

I first worked this one out with DBelco some time ago. After doing the workings out to get to GZ we tried to go for the climb on this one late at night. I had geokid with me and he even had a go at the climb but we just could not seem to get past one point and then we saw lights in the distance. Oh no it was a police car driving by our cars then they pulled out the spotlight flashing it around the cars then out in to the trees. We hid behind the tree until they were gone when we thought we would leave this to another day. We came back during daylight hours however we still had an issue of trying to climb this thing. Came back tonight with DBelco, Geordiefamily and Alchey. Alchey had previously done the climb and was happy to assist us with this one. I owe a great deal of thanks to Alchey for this one as I couldnt of done this one on my own or i could of had a fall. This is getting a fav from me due to the fact that the lower one was high but looking at the high one takes some great skills. Bushfire this one is getting the fav for the pure effort to get it all the way up there YES ALLLLLL THE WAAAAYYYYYYY UP THEREEEEEEEEEE. If i could give you 10 fav points I would for this one. TFTC

Geokid has wanted to do this cache for a while, but I'd heard some scarey things about it so put her off. After the group assault on nocturnal wander 4 of us decided one cache was not enough and headed off to find a few more. Whilst tackling the kids play space cache alchey kindly volunteered to be the mug/kind person to brave the height of out of reach for me and others in our group. This was much appreciated, as my injuries would not allow me to even attempt this. Still had a feeling of panic and worry as alchey, who I'd just met, did the climb, and had visions of ambulances driving thro the area after an emergency call. Needless to say breathed a sigh of relief as he safely descended the tree and we were on our way. So thank you to my fellow cacher for getting a smilie for me and ticking this one off my list.

This one has been on the hit list for a number of months. Having worked out GZ with libzhat last year and 2 failed attempts, we find ourselves here again with geordiefamily and alchey. alchey made the trip up thank god and scribbled our names into the log. We could even see the extreme one up up up up up there No thanks bushfire Enjoyed doing all the way points up until this one Getting a fav from me

Well! After how many years of caching, I FINALLY got around to finding this cache!! With the Geomonkey and Geoboy #2 in tow, we hit the ground running and soon had the info we needed from the first two WPTs.
A quick phone call let us know that our guest for the afternoon (the geoneice) had let herself in the backdoor and was being stared at by the cats...so we headed home for some lunch, called off the cats and did the required calculations for the next WPT (note to self - remember how to use BODMAS correctly!!).
With the cats pacified and the suitably refreshed from lunch, we headed off to the next stop where we counted, added and multiplied as required and headed off to WPT4. Did we have the wherewithal to locate those little letters? Yes, we did. Did I trust them? No, I didn't. Should I have? Yes. And so, after checking and rechecking and a quick text to check that they were the correct, I followed the GPSr to a spot which didn't make much sense [?][?][?]!!
Second note to self: bearings in degrees and distance in metres are not interchangeable !! Put the numbers in the right way round and with the troops in tow, headed off for the find. We arrived at GZ and the Geoniece was quick to spot a likely hide. Ok, Geomonkey do your thing!! Up she went and in a few minutes the cache was lowered down to my waiting pen. Did we want the higher one? Well, the Geomonkey certainly did!! But could we find it?? Up she went, replacing the lower one on the way and up and up and up .
From way down below, I thought I spotted something which could have been what we were looking for. A little readjustment of position and "Yep! Got it!" Down she came, I signed the second log, and back up she went. And down she came "Oops! Forgot to take a photo!" Only half way down, back up she went. Photo taken and down she came again. Job done and the Geomonkey in one piece back on the ground [^].
Thanks SpeedyBushfire for your combined efforts in putting out this cache. The Geomonkey was especially impressed! !

Finally completed the Mt Everest of caches.
Took two days as we ran out of time on day one and not having a vital attribute to assist our search, as my bionic eyes need recharging.
Day two found GZ but not the caches had to call CO again to confirm information.
Finally found the caches and signed them both after the hard work.

So lucky to have friends in high places.
My friend bogonghazy did all the ground work and the above ground work so that I can get a smiley for this cache. We were attending the smorgasbord of events nearby when he suggested we took a slight detour to find this one. Why not I thought? Hmmmmm.
It took a little while to locate the lower of the two challenges but once noted the cache was grabbed and the log book signed.

Another simple cache, LOL, for 6Hinemoa2, Sorceysal, Tagalong and I after the flashmob. Numbers in hand and then I was volunteered to do the necessary monkey bits. Took about 10 minutes to finally spot this one, and we believe it's the lower one, wow.
Bit of a stretch for me, and the carabiner has seen better days Lawrie. C'mon mate, up you go with a replacement. But seriously.....
Love these extra challenges put into a cache, and just have to add to the faves, thanks SpeedyB

After attending the nearby Christmas Flash Mob event, it was off with 6hinemoa2, tag-along and bogonghazy to get the required numbers for this cache. It was a good team, 6 hinemoa2 being the spotter, tag-along for his height, bogonghazy for his climbing abiliaties and myself for the maths. All of which came into use today.
Once we had the required numbers, it was off to GZ for bogonghazy to do the climb. It took a bit of searching but eventually it was spotted and logged. Not sure if it was extreme or stupid or both.
Thanks for the cache SpeedyBushfire

This one certainly took some time. After getting stuck on wp3 and having to come back with binocs, then after good weather and the right clothing finally coming back for wp4! Not sure if got stupid or extreme, as one we did was pretty high? Confession- didn't bring a pen and on dusk by time found so dark by time go back to car, hopefully this passes or will be doing another climb another day!
Tftc Great Hide definite favorite will come back to determine if it was stupid or extreme i found and sadly forgot my pen not a bad climb though will re visit and log soon )
After a second trip to wp 4 with binocs, came to tree (with the rope?) Nearby. Climbed and scrambled all over high and higher, yet neither cache in hand. Help?
We started this one some time last year and got held up at WP4. We knew what we needed, but didnt have the resources on hand. After a fair break we thought it was about time to return and tackle this one again with the equipment we required. With the right tools, we were able to obtain the sought after information at this point and went back to our calculations to find GZ. Hoping we had recorded everything accuratly we went about projecting the final waypoint.
Upon arriving to GZ, we were pretty sure we knew what was required. With only one of our team dressed appropriately, it was up to them. So up, up, up she went and along the way lamented that the 'stupid' cache was no longer in place. After reaching the required level for the 'extreme' cache, a deep breath and long reach was taken and the cache was safely in the hands of our cacher. Finally, after a wobbly signing of the log, back down she came in one piece!
Unfortunatly the mozzies were out in force on this sunny autumn day, so we returned with scratches, bruises and bites, but most satifyingly, a much sought after smiley!!
Thanks so much for the rewarding cache SpeedyBushfire. Earnt a favourite from us

Well at long last Suscoe has completed this cache.
We did all the other stuff quite some time back but GZ provided Suscoe with a problem for the vertically challenged cacher.
So after a recent birthday where a new caching tool (thanks to Romax for the concept
and Mrs. S's on line work) was gifted, we were finally able to deal with this blighter!
The new caching tool worked like a charm, the breeze was gentle and the timber dry.
Cache signed and returned and down we went.
A big thank you to Bushfire and Speedy stamps for this nice bit of caching work.

We had slowly been working our way through the waypoints and finally were able to spot the letters at WP4 this morning. Worked out a likely GZ and as we got closer, gave a silent thankyou to SpeedyBushfire for picking a manageable obstacle. All those childhood years of climbing paid off and it was a straightforward climb to Stupid. After signing, we kept going up and made it to Extreme (which thankfully wasn't as high as we had feared!). T a Bushfire penny and left a pathtag. Thanks for the cache and the challenge!
I had a look at this guy and everything seems to be in order and just placed a new attribute that some cachers will need this for a new tree climbing cache cache where you have finds on 15 tree caches and this qualifies as one.
Suscoe visited Gz today in the company of the Cache Owner.
Yes we had the right tree, yes that might have been the cache and yes it is still too high for Mr. S.
Same, Same.
Nothing has changed since the last visit.
Will work on the vertical challenge part of life for a while to see if the climb can be done next time.

After sorting out my issues with stage 4 (much easier in the morning than afternoon) I had the final coordinates and was joined by scouter 101 to get just in reach of this fun final stage.
A very memorable cache.
Thanks Guys

I couldn't look but Bruce did his monkey act and found the cache. Thanks SpeedyBushfire
I had some trouble getting an answer that was an integer for stage 3s coordinates but the 2 alternative I had got me to the correct location.
I couldn't find to correct letters at Stage 4 though, looks like there might have been some very recent work at the top so maybe it's gone? maybe I'm blind?

Daughter (BBTD)and I walked the short distance from our accommodation to find the first couple of waypoints in the light rain. My cache notes ended up quite wet and the pen refused to play the game Luck the memory still works.
Back at home I worked the maths but ended up a bit vague about the number of "holes" (It was very dark when I tried to count them) so we ended up a bit unsure about WP3. Mr Google came to the rescue once I had figured out what GBG referred too and next morning I was able to drive the WP3 then WP4. That's where it all came unstuck.
I couldn't find the required info at WP4 and had to use the PAF option (Thanks Rubik!) He gave me the required info for WP4 but failed to mention that all I was lacking was excellent eyesight. The info was there but a bit too small to read at such distance.
After a short walk to GZ to assess the challenge I decided to wait till the high winds had abated. In the meantime Phetlern rang to discuss a joint attack on another difficult cache expressed a keen desire to be involved in the finding of this cache. Arrangements were made and we duly met at GZ this morning to discuss tactics.
Lucky for us we had a nimble muggle with us who was keen on tackling the challenge so she and I were nominated as the retrieval team.
The extreme cache was soon located and we managed to open it and sign the log without a gravitational error. Part way down we noticed another suspicious looking object and decided it must be the wusses cache. We wrote in that log also
Thanks SpeedyBushfire. We have quite enjoyed this cache and the challenges -especially the final attack on GZ. Quite a lot of work has gone into this cache and we're very happy to give a "favourite" point.

This must be the longest it's taken for us to reach a GZ - some 18 months! We gathered the information back in July 2010 but were hesitant as we felt the GZ was out of our reach. That is until we were able to hook onto the coat tail of WazzaAndWenches and found it wasn't quite as far out of reach as we had imagined. Special thanks to the muggle friend of BBTD, a geocacher in training.

Finally, together with our geo-daughter we found the time and courage to convert this cache into a smiley. After a few uncertainties about the numbers (memo to self, don't take caching maths too seriously) we arrived at GZ. A minor accident required a second climb, luckily the young and fit Indiana08 was at hand and took the "honours" - thanks Indiana08.
And thanks to Speedystamps and Bushfire for this "Out of Reach" experience!

Bushfire has removed the answers to the first question on the old building as the repairs are finished.
Placed our name in the Extreme cache . Sorry if the writing is a bit rough. I was shaking. Lucklily I had a pen because the supplied one isn't working. Days of strong winds might be best avoided too. TFTC
We do not know how long this scaffolding will be in place so the answer to the first Q2A will be in the cache notes. Happy Hunting.
This cache is temporarily disabled, as one of the WP's is currently not only out of reach, but out of view! Once building works have been completed and the WP is visible again we will enable the cache.
It took us two visits to Geelong area to get the required information, the first time WP1 was visible, but on the return, more scaffolding had been put up obscuring any chance of obtaining the numbers.
We got stuck on the last way point before the final as it was past midnight and this area gets a little dodgy on a sat night...
Today we found the information during the daylight and had to revisit some of the original WP's as we lost our calculations.
I would have been happy to log the stupid cache, but since its gone, I couldn't, so now my name is in the extreme!
Thanks for this cache SpeedyBushfire

Wandered past this cache today just to check and yes it looks like the stupid cache is missing but the extreme cache is still in place although a bit lower than where it was originally. I offered crowfly some help but have heard nothing so maybe they returned to the states!
This guy is certainly there waiting to be found.

I climbed like a monkey touching every branch, saw a rope, bunch of nails, but no cache...came home and ate a few bananas and will attempt again soon...I want to get this one before we go back to the States.
I had this tagged as one of the more difficult challenges for the day so planned to tackle it this morning. It had been quite cold overnight but fortunately no rain so when GZ finally confronted me I decided this was as good a time as any. I climbed a few branches up, then a few more, but couldn't see anything that looked like a cache. Up further and further I went, I looked up and thought there can't be too much tree ahead of me I could possibly climb, when I looked sideways and noticed something a bit fishy. What a great container. I'm glad all this effort had a fun pay off. I was scared that I might drop something because I didn't really want to have to make the trip up again. Fortunately it all stayed in place and I couldn't wait to get back down.
Phew! What an adventure!
Thanks for putting together such a fun and challenging multi guys.

I was near the listed co-ords for this cache and decided to check out the first few stages while I was there. Enjoyed the short walk and the palm trees at stage 3 looked great when I got to them after dark. Hopefully I'll be ready to do this cache next time I make it to Geelong.
Thanks.
Thanks.
It's our 2nd attempt, Give up as we might need to climb the tree.. Also too dark for us.. Next time we will try for it but need to have someone who is man.. so can help us..
Twice attemps - Maybe I should have call speedy to help me () (), Three of us tried our best but still no luck....
Found today at 1445.
Lovely little trek around the area gathering the required information.
We had to ring and argue with Bushfire about his lack of counting skills at one point (of course we were right.. but he just won't admit it)
And then onto GZ.
1SR is the better climber so VKC was in charge of the potential clean up. Fortunately (or is it unfortunately) his skills were not required and 1SR made it up and back in one PUFFING piece. He even had the rubber gloves ready and all!!
Mind you.. 1SR left the pen and stamp down below (we found this out when 1SR got to the top).
Unfortunately the STUPID cache is missing in action.. we could see where it was supposed to be.. so we had a scrounge around the base looking in case it had fallen.. but Mr Muggle may have had a hand in its disappearance as it is a popular tree.
NOTE: Can the next finder maybe take a spare pen to place in the cache as the one provided is not working..
1SR had to climb half way down again to be within throwing distance.
Finally ticked this off the list.
Thanks to the 2 old blokes for putting this cache out!!

Logged our visit in the extreme cache but could not find the stupid one (Got to wonder if it is gone). This tree is big but Geo Boy has climbed bigger and I might have too but not for a while. We were very impressed by the camo of the cache and could have easily been fooled. Not sure what was going on with one of the calcs as we could not quite get it correct but we still managed to find all the way points. It does pay to read all the instruction before you head out as we found we were lacking in one of the suggested attributes. This is number 130 something but we still am learning. TFTC
This was cache # 4 of 37 for the day, in the company of Alansee on our tour of the Bellarine. We started this one with out to much trouble the first two points were no trouble and the information was gathered with out to much trouble, I did have to count those palm fronds a few times just to make sure though, we arrived at the third point and the wheels fell off, I have above average eye sight but there was no way I could read that, we made a few calls and finally got on to Bushfire who pushed us in the right direction, we then found another device that would help us out, The trouble with the attributes is they don't print out or transfer to electronic devices so we had no idea what was required here. We finally made it to GZ and decided to take the lower option, as a previous injury prevents that type of activity. My thanks to SpeedyBushfire for the cache.
Found on a lovely sunny day caching with Acts2YouthGroup. Well, we got wp1 and 2 ok, including the convoluted maths that the Bellarine seems to be so fond of. But as others have found, wp3 was a doozy! We wouldn't have gotten it but for help from an owner and others. In the end, by chance we had an item in the car which got us there. At gz I did the duties but only to the lower one, despite having done GCR2GG.
Thanks SpeedyBushfire for the cache. May I suggest that there is really no indication of the need to be prepared for wp3? It is a shame for cachers to get that far and be unable to finish it.

Find # 3114 and 2nd find of the day at 10:00 am. Accompanied by Feathrtop on another day out caching in Geelong and beyond, We thought we would have trouble with this cache but all went well, I started to get the cache but then chickened out and Owen had to finish the job, TNLN, left my mark in the log, Thanks SpeedyBushfire...
This cache was not the first one that I expected to log today with Oenze. Indeed it was not even on the agenda.
Last time I gathered WP1. Suffice to say the challenge gets somewhat harder from this point.
Almost miscounted at Wp2 and then some bad maths had us in suburbia before this was rectified.
Luckily we carry a caching kit to rival Bushfire's and this led us through to the projection.
My old GPS was not accurate enough so we used the laptop and it delivered us to the tree in question.
Oenze went up first on account of my injured right hand.
However nerves got the better of him and he then took longer to desend than to go up.
I then threw my injured hand to the wind and went up largely one handed and arrived at what I thought would be a suitable height and looked around and looked some more before Oenze spotted it from below.
A delicate manoevre and I had the cache and our names were soon in the book. The lower cache to be sure but a worthy challenge for two less than fit individuals.
Thanks to Speedy and Bushfire for a GREAT cache.

What a challenge this cache is to do.
But we are not afraid of a little challenge. Team vicfire on holidays set of to do this one, at WP1 worked our way through to the last WP but came to a holt. Had to ring Bushfire to check on the last WP gave small hit off to GZ's. thanks
We did not look at the attributes on the listings. So we forgot to bring what we needed.
This is where the fun all started.
Worked out the bearings and distance. So we ended up in the middle of an area.We looked for the biggest tree , this will be it so old vicfire in his 50s Up we go. Up, Up, UP!!! (xx[) Loged the the easier on way up, almost to the top this is EXTREME cache. I could not see Bushfire up so high. Found the EXTREME after a long look around.
After a few cuts its time to get down to earth without calling the SES or CFA.
I would not do on my own .
Thanks

Well, we started the multi in the daylight, but the maths took us soooo looooong, that it was soon dark. Mind you, it didn't help that we had to do a couple of calculations a couple of times!
A few interesting spots. I had never noticed the Geelong Club before - nice windows.
I had thought, from the description, that every waypoint was a bit of a climb, but this proved not to be the case.
We got to GZ, well our first calculation, and looked for a while before Chewin' tried a climb. He returned empty handed so we were back to recalculate. A stupid mistake was found and we were off again. We still couldn't see anything in the new spot, but we climbed anyway. Chewin' spotted the cache, and I retrieved it. We nearly dropped the top while signing the log, but it was soon back.
Thanks, Robmc.

Definitely a bit of a saga but we got there in the end even though we needed a bit of help at one point. Climbed not one, but two trees in the pursuit of this one and ignoring all warnings, did it late at night too. Just what you'd expect a couple of plus fifty year old blokes to be doing late at night; climbing tree's; not!
We're not sure if we did the hard one or the easy one. We only found one and it was high enough for me.
Thanks indeed Speedie and co.

Found this one with PacketStorm4... really well done i must say! Got to Wp4 and tried to follow PacketStorm4 but nerves got the best of me. As he said left nothing took pen lid TFTC
All i can say, is please read the attributes and warnings, at one point i was as tall as some of the trees in eastern park so please be careful!
I am amazed that the cache owners themselves were able to venture up this far!
Really well done cache, look forward to the next.
Left nothing, took pen lid as it made a free fall from the EXTREME GZ

saw this on the site and decided that because it had no logs, we might as well go for my first ftf. although it said do not attemp at night, Indiana08 and i were fearless and decided to try it at 9pm or so.
got to the last wp and coudent figure it out, and that made me real mad went home to sleep onit, woke up and check the logs, only to be angered further buy someone else beating us to the ftf slightly upset Indiana08 and I went back to wp4 and started again from there, after a few mins, of working things out, we were off, didnt take long to get both caches in hand, so a joint second to find oh well, excellent cache, tftc

Found this one with saraci.jaee today after doing the maths yesterday... Counting some of those thigs such as the tiles with a torch in the middle of town requires an extreme amount of stealth but we successful. Unfortunately we were beaten to FTF but these things happen. After a quick hint from Speedy about Stage 4 we projected a waypoint, the first one was wrong and ended up in me being 30 meters off the ground for no reason with no safety equipment. We checked the maths, found our error and then successfully located the right hiding spot. After a bit of climbing, which I have been practicing in this park since I was 6, I had both caches in hand, and we signed both of them.
Thanks for the great experience,
Indiana08
