I took me a while to get the pattern, but then I could go on forever! Quick find, log is a wee bit wet. TFTC

Down from Whangarei to meet our first grand daughter and whilst passing by, thought I should stop off for a few minutes to try and find this puzzle that was solved years ago.Once at GZ, the hint became obvious and it was a nice quick find here. TFTC

03-Nov-24
Great hint, it helped lots. There were people kicking balls, kids on swings, folk walking dogs and then there was us among the trees. And we dont think anyone saw us. Thank you.

Came into the city today for a few bits and pieces and found a few caches while I was out and about. Clever puzzle, although I think I may have seen another one like it somewhere else. Anyway, I got the solution and got to the final location today. Quite a muggly area so a bit of stealth was required. Cache found as per the hint. Last cache for me today. Time to head for home. TFTC, Biggles.

The Seagnoid has come to stay for a long weekend and have some caching adventures. Today we ventured out to find solved puzzle caches, and a few others along the way. It was a mostly successful today, with only a handful of DNF's.Thanks for the cache.

It's a long weekend and so I thought I would make it a longer weekend and visit a friend down in Christchurch, that northern peninsula of the Antarctic ice sheet. Arrived late yesterday so only got a few in then. Today's mission: make a dent in some of those 800 solved puzzles I have in the South Island. That Darn Bear and I had a great time finding puzzle caches, although the 20% DNF rate was a bit of a downer.I love math, it is something I am good at, but I was not fooled by this one. I did amaze the bear at how fast I could produce each line though!Nice find at GZ.

How could anyone not like maths? I love it.I love this number pattern and there are quite a few cashes around like it. A quick and easy solve by me.FINALLY, and with humble apologies for being so late, I am catching up on my logging.Day 6 of The North Islanders in Canterbury tour with Liss Crew. We are targeting specific caches -oldies, and puzzles. Of course, there will be days of laughter.During our time here, all found caches were signed as NZL, regardless of whether either of us has found it previously, or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache GYARGH.

I'm from Paihia/Whangarei and I'm down in the South Island for 6 days with NZ_B on a geocaching trip. Logs mostly signed as NZL.I had a few goals for the trip and I was very pleased to achieve them all Smile*50 or 60 puzzles for my diamond badge on project gc*40 caches to get to my 6000th find*19 South Island minutes to complete a challenge*but mostly a clean out of my ever growing solved puzzle list with 157 found on this trip. Monday we collected the windmill geoart on our way to Oamaru. Tuesday the focus was solved A2O puzzles, the sunflowers and other solved puzzles. Wednesday we headed back to Christchurch collecting challenges and more solved puzzles. Thursday's focus was the Smile series around Lake Ellesmere. Friday was the old Port Hills cache and puzzles in the Christchurch area. Today was our last day. Again a puzzle focus around the outer Christchurch area. Well I do like maths and was very pleased to solve this rather quickly back in June 2021. Thanks for your cache Smile

Heading back to Blenheim after seeing the grown up kids in Christchurch this weekend. Had plenty of time to stop and grab. Mrs Rubbishparty is a maths teacher so I leave these sort of puzzles to her. She’s the brains and I’m the hunter and gatherer. Cache all fine. Thanks for the smiley.

09-Jun-23
Had this one solved for a bit and stopped by today for the dot day/keep the streak up/get the challenge points.

I was always so embarrassed how bad I am at math. Oddly enough, geocaching has done wonders for my adult math education! But not this cache - this is the no math zone. A nice logic puzzle, just the way I likes it.

Cache is safe and sound. Log is getting a bit damp but still in good form. Took a moment to find under the mountain of fallen leaves.

20-Nov-22
Seeing that I was close by I decided to come and sign off this puzzle which I had solved 3 years ago.

There were a few muggles about but they didn't disturb me.

Cheers for the cache.

03-Mar-22
I was needing a puzzle for today for the challenge and this was my third cache to try tonight and was so pleased to find it. The first cache I tried had lots of people playing tennis and second one was in view of a house and they were standing in their driveway.

Really liked this puzzle and today we were nearby. A small lol detour and came back to see if we could change the blue frown to a lovely smile. Don't know what was wrong with us last time, today found as stated. All good with cache, log signed. Thanks for this puzzle and cache Gyargh.

No math indeed!
I really liked math back in school though. I even used to do my own math equations in my own free time at home. But now I'm really rusty. So this mystery was right for me.

Lots of leaf litter but cache found eventually. My thought about the hint was correct but still, a pic from one of the previous finder was a good help to confirm the exact right spot.

Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks, Gyargh!

Stopped off on my way to a clan gathering in Papanui to find this solved puzzle. Thanks GYARGH for this puzzle cache.

Well I love maths, and I enjoyed this little puzzle. Quick grab, close from home after work. Little cacher found the adults sports equipment more interesting than the playground. Great camo, I had my hand and it, but wasn't sure. Thanks for placing this here, both container and logbook were in good condition (even if the container is quite old). Thanks again.

09-Sep-20
Mr BP went for a play on the very interesting adult equipment, while I quietly went for a look. Found the right hint area, and clutched hold of the well hidden cache. Many thanks for a good puzzle and taking me to a nice area I hadn't seen before. Cool

26-Jul-20
We were so happy to click to this puzzle. Got the nice congrats on geo checker so decided to find the cache on our way home. Came to the GZ and the obvious hint and saw it has all been replanted with thick new mulch. Tried many of the hint places many metres away but no luck.

26-Jul-20
Would suggest checking the area for cache re all the new garden work done here.

28-Sep-19
We had solved this 5 months ago, but had then noticed that TwoSharpe had registered a DNF, and it had not been found for a year. Given that a seasoned geocacher like TwoSharpe had not succeeded we had thought, well, it's probably gone, and did not bother going out to look ... But then very recently it was found. So today we set out, and quickly found the cache. TFTC!

04-Sep-19
Found on a miserably rainy day, which meant that I didn't see anyone near GZ. I needed a little help with this puzzle, TFTC!

01-Sep-19
Worked the puzzle out while at Wombles event as a nearby geocache, but then was contacted by my wife KrystalKath to be picked up from her day's shopping excursion so couldn't get there after the event. Also missed out on joining nosynel et al on their adventure too.
So this was the first geocache I did this morning on the way to the Port Hills.
Easy puzzle. No maths involved. Reminds me of this little ditty from my childhood...
One-one was a race horse...
11 was a racehorse,
22 was 1 2,
11 1 1 race,
22 1 1 2
TFTC and the puzzle.

No luck here today, looked at a number of hint items and noted there has been some pruning and the recent addition of a water pipe?

07-Apr-18
Out on a bit of a mission today - trying to sort some points for the Planet Pursuit combined with finding a few of my solved Christchurch puzzles. Solved this a long time ago so it feels good to get this smilie after all that time. Probably not the best place to visit on a Saturday morning but actually it was all quiet. TFTC # 12,287

Maths friend tried to help but in the end Google was my friend and a solution revealed itself. Cache was a quick find. I visited the park in the dark after a movie expecting it to be deserted but a few young people were on the play equipment. It made me a little nervous. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide.

I do not like maths at all! Needed some help with the puzzle but found really at gz. Tftc

19-Aug-17
This one certainly had me puzzled and I was lucky Google helped point me in the right direction of how to solve it. Didn't take long to find at GZ with Jess53nz but it looked like it might have shifted from its original position. Tucked away out of sight. Container was a bit wet inside so I gave it a quick dry. Logbook only slightly damp so no trouble signing it. Tftc

Long time dream came true and we could visit New Zealand. NZ Mega was our maingoal and we had time to find others too. We travelled together with Veke68, Katsukka and tanjuli (+husband) and had great time. We used TVVK Fin (that is tanjuli, vipema, Veke68 <3 Katsukka) in mostly logbooks to save space.

Thanks for the cache.

Greetings from Finland.

Day #2 geocaching in NZ/Christchurch and surroundings in good company (=tanjuli with husband, vipema, Veke68 & Katsukka = TVVK-FIN in the logbooks most of the time) to NZ. Had a great time and found a lot of caches + saw so many interesting/beautiful places.

Thank you!!!!

On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.

On a Mega weekend caching around Christchurch area. Lots of fun and nice places with good caches. This was solved before our trip. Thanks for the cache!

Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]

We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Greetings from Finland

Tenth day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards south. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. We made it to Christchurch, so now it is time to do some caching!

Solved this puzzle back home in Oz before coming over to the Mega so very happy to make the find today. Thanks for the cache GYARGH.

24-Oct-15
Another urch-solved puzzle cache, so was a must-stop as this was on our way past. Not a lot of caching done today as Mr Urch had a longer than expected visit to the doctor (tip for other Aussie visitors - get your prescriptions filled before leaving Australia!). This was found early in the morning on the way to do the parkrun at Hagley Park. TFTC.

After arriving in NZ early on 19/10/15 we were still eager enough to do a few caches. With little sleep we headed out as a group of 8 Aussie's for a day of caching and puzzle solving. Tftc

In all honesty not many people do like maths Wink
This puzzle was solved easily prior to our trip to NZ.
We were cruising around the area picking up puzzle caches and odd ones here and there.
This one popped up on the screen so we went for it Big Grin
Cache was located without too much trouble, caching duties completed and we were on our way.
Thanks for the fun GYARGH

Must admit I am not a fan of maths but this one was solved

Our little convoy of Aussies was floating around town picking up some pre solved puzzles and after a quick change of clothes due to some aquatic antics previously, we found our way over here and taking the nice short stroll to GZ.
We all descended on Gz and after a short search the cache was found and we all signed our life away.
Then we all commando rolled our way across the area to another one nearby.

Thanks GYARGH for the nice maths puzzle and cache.

Cheers

Find #6490

After a good nights sleep in our accommodation for the next two weeks, I headed out again with an eight strong Aussie contingent here to attend the Christchurch Mega next weekend. It was a little cooler today, but still quite a pleasant day, ideal to go caching for some solved puzzles and a few random traditionals as well as a wherigo. After a return to the house for a change of clothes (Long story, see previous cache that I logged), we headed out for more fun. I really dont like math, but after a bit of a longer search the cache was found by C.

Thanks to Gyargh for the cache. TNLN

Last summer the idea was born to visit [Green]'New Zealand'[/Green], together with [url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url] Razz
After some important decisions regarding the beginning of our trip, the flights, the general route and the car were made, the most important question was still unanswered: which caches can we visit during our tour [?]
To get an answer for this topic I was fetching almost every cache from both islands Red Face[8)][:X]
[url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url] and I love [Teal]'Geo-Arts'[/Teal]...so we added all these cache series to our wish list Cool
After this decision was made this list was more than 300 puzzle caches long...unsolved puzzle caches Surprised
Two weeks before Christmas it was getting time to start solving all these mystery caches Wink
Even with the different language I could find almost every solution Cool
In the case I was not so successful I was contacting some of the CO's...and was always getting help from them...many thanks for this support [:X]

During the following weeks our cache list was growing and growing...meanwhile more than 1000 caches long...too long for a simple bookmark list from GC Sad
Time to get our route and caches in sync...time to save the PQ's to our Garmins...time to start this holiday:

Chapter 1: [red]Christchurch [/red]
After a really long flight we finally arrived at Christchurch airport at 6am...picking up our rental car Wink
Then my first trauma: not only the steering wheel was at the wrong side, also only wrong-way driver on the road SurprisedSurprisedSurprised
Nevertheless we could find a lot of interesting caches during this day...without getting in touch with other cars Big Grin

This cache was one them Cool
I like math...and so it was absolutely not a problem for me to put the coordinates together Cool
With the given hint we could find the cache immediately Big GrinSmileBig Grin

I would like to thank all owners of the caches I've found for their effort and for showing me these interesting spots,

I do like maths but really struggled with this puzzle. I am ashamed to say I eventually resorted to google to solve it. Took geo-toddler to the nearby playground at the GZ before looking for the cache. Very well hidden but found thanks to hint. Cleared some rubbish out as I left, TFTC!

I know how to solve this, but I am in the United States of America, now hoping that I can fly south (down under) to find this cache.

Friday morning - I used this for my fourth grade math lesson today. One student figured it out and explained it to the class. Then I had them work out the questions in groups to solve for the coordinates. They were successful. Thanks for the fun!

I'm sitting in the middle of the United States of America and I see this puzzle pop up on a puzzle help site, so I give it a look. Being intrigued, I decided to try and 'crack" it. After a few attemps and dealing with my eyes' tracking issue and reading only 1/2 of how to come up with "I", I finally read it all correctly and have a puzzle solved in NZ! I just informed my Handsome Husband he now needs to take me to NZ so I can find this cache! Thanks for the fun!

I actually do like maths but I just couldn't get anywhere with this one. Had to ask Mr Google who explained it to me in words of one syllable. Didn't I feel stupid then!!
Stopped by to find the cache today and it was a relatively quick find. TFTC.

I've been carting the coordinates for this around for months. Tonight I decided it was time to finally knock it off. Dropped in after work and soon had the cache signed (covered it a bit better before I left). Checked the time as I was leaving - 11.57pm. Well THAT won't complete the dot day for the 18th! Ah well, 1 more before bed Wink

Well... I do like maths... I mean, I kind of have to... I have a degree in Stats and work at Stats NZ... haha Smile

But that was quite a hinder in solving this cache!! I was looking too much into things!! Seriously, I was starting off my thinking at a much different level...
And so I ended up dumping the cache into the currently too hard pile, as I just couldn't understand or see anything!

Opened the cache page up again, and I just saw it... saw what had to be done. And I couldn't believe it. Could it really be so easy?! No way. Definitely, very definitely I was over thinking it...

So then I went to the gym today in the evening, instead of my usual morning, as I had had a bit of a sleep in then. And so without a cache for the day, decided that after a grocery shopping trip, this one would be perfect for the way home as my gym is on this side of town.

Rocked on up then in the dark, and yup! Easy! With the phone light I walked on, and started searching. Hint seemed pretty straight forward to me, and cache was in the first place I looked!
I do like maths... Smile

TFTC!! Smile

Close to another cache I'd just found, figured I'd head to this one and find it too. Puzzle was recently solved. I don't know if the hint helped or hindered my search as there were a number of possible locations it alluded to! Found it eventually though.
Thanks for the cache.

1 of 37 caches Mum and I found today in attempts to reach 1000cache finds by the end of the year.
At first attempt I just tried to cheat and find the answer on google but couldnt find it, I did however find how to solve it instead. I had trouble second guessing myself until I just decided to scrap everything and start from scratch. Got the green tick my first shot. When we got to the cache site we couldnt find it and thought it may have gone missing due to some pruning but widen the search area and found it elsewhere. The coords are quite off even with the geochecker so maybe it has been moved. Thanks for the cache:)

Reperio at 1705.

After a great week was had touring around the South Island with Roostaman...including attending the mega event in Dunedin...we spent today finding some caches in and around this wonderful city of Christchurch. This was also one of the many puzzles we managed to solve before heading over to NZ...and I loved this simple little puzzle...It was fun to solve. Today we stopped in at GZ and soon had the cache located.

Solved a while ago, but I knew a lot of DNF's had been logged so I didn't bother going to look. Now that various caching friends have logged finds, it seemed a good time to have a go. I had a meeting there too, which gave me a good reason to be in that part of town at a slightly odd time of day. A few minutes before the meeting, a few more minutes after the meeting, a bit of caching sense... Bingo Smile

Got into the right frame of mind for this one!!! Great puzzle, hallmark of a good one is the 'smoke and mirrors' effect. ITS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!! Had GZ to myself, found the cache signed the log and swapped a wee piggy thingy for a smurf pendant. I say 'argh to Gyargh', only one more of your 'non maths' puzzles. Thanks for the effort in creating and placing... argh!

I DO like Maths - and had this solved quite quickly about a year ago. First attempt - drive by too many muggles, 2nd attempt ran out of time, not sure if I had a third attempt that wasn't logged. Other cachers I know also had DNF's, then a run of finds. Time to try again. With today's weather it wasn't likely that there would be muggles around. With today's weather the GPS wasn't particularly accurate - but I know it wasn't over the fence. Systematic search paying attention to ybgf bs yvggyr gehaxf, and on the second or third time at GZ today finally put my hands on it. Yvggyr isn't so yvggyr any more in comparison with others.
Good to get this one off my Solve not found AND DNF lists.

Spent ages staring at the puzzle, only to have my partner solve it pretty much straight away. No luck finding cache though. Will have a more thorough search next time.

164 - I had this one solved for a while but thought it was a nice day for a stroll in the park with my dog. I heard it hadn't been found in awhile, and some friends hadn't been able to find it. Off I went, with a few tools in my geogeekbag, and arrived at GZ to start the search. Checked out a number of little trunks until woohoo, I found the right one. Was feeling pretty pleased with myself until I went to sign and saw one of my friends had been there the day before, so they would have done all the hard work for me. Still it was a great find, and I'm pleased we both have it signed off. Now to find the others....

#281 Yippee Yahoo.... FOUND IT!!!! This is our 4th visit to this puzzle. It was the very first puzzle that we solved then couldn't find the actual cache. As we saw that it had been found, we decided to give it another go. Dragged all the ChCh based MacPacFamily for a Mother's Day caching trip and were just about to give it up again and went for one last attempt. MacPacMum thought it was a great pressie to find the cache and get the smilie for this one!

We do like Maths and Mrs Sobad did like the puzzle - but GZ didn't like us today. Had time for a reasonable search before we had to leave for a lunch date.
We didn't have the latest logs with us when we were away and now see that the last few are also DNF's. Can the CO check this please.

Poked around in the bushes until it was getting too dark. Abandoned search due to frustration and dog walking muggles.

Had a poke around but no dice. Darkness hampered further searching.

Rumaged around but couldn't find it

I was excited to have the co-ordinates confirmed for my first puzzle cache. Waited until the muggles had left and then tried my luck but no go. The fact that the GPS was +/-14m and indicating over the fence didn't help. Will return.

MacPacMum, MacPacDad & Pokernet returned to have another go at finding this cache. Spent about 40 mins hunting but no luck again. With all the recent DNF's can GYARGH confirm the cache is still there?

Solved this one at home in preparation for our Mainland cache raid. Very clever little puzzle TFTC.

Finally! This has been on my to find list forever. First attempt I was looking in the wrong place, second time there were to many muggles so didn't attempt, then today bingo! Cool puzzle. TFTC (477)

After the previous don't like series, working out the coords was fairly straight forward. The cache was well hidden, but I managed a quick find. A nice sheltered spot where the footy players could not see me! thanks for the puzzles and hide

Found this quite tricky, got a pointer and soon solved, struggled to find, but copied an idea from the logs re using a stick. Went back and found quite quickly, not the spot I would have said matched the clue closest but certainly lined up with GPS. Enjoyed this one tftc.

We got stuck on this puzzle when we first looked at it nearly two years ago, but figured out the solution while researching another puzzle recently. Arrived at GZ today and began what turned out to be a long but eventually successful hunt for the cache. Thanks.

Finally a Christchurch puzzle I could solve and find without too much difficulty. The kids enjoyed the playground while Mrs KE and I snuck into the bushes to make the find. Thanks.

Had hoped this would be puzzle #3 for 4x4 challenge.
Solve a while ago, and this was attempt #2 - first time we just drove on by - too many people
Looked for a while, avoiding the several groups of muggles. Plenty of places matching the clue, but no cache.
Had to be elsewhere by 3:30, was then 3:20 so abandoned search for today.

TFTC. This was one of the first puzzle caches I looked at and didn't have a clue - so into a pile of "One Day" caches. Well yesterday was the day - in bed sick and sooooo bored. Well at all turned out alright and today I gathered the smilie. Thanks for the entertainment.

On my first attempt, the GPS put GZ on the other side of the fence. Couldn't find a way to get there. Had a quick search on the park side but soon gave up assuming it was on the other side. Returned today for another go. GPS put GZ on the park side of the fence and the cache was soon located, but very well hidden/disguised. TFTC.
