16-Feb-13
I had a bit of fun today riding the mountain bike in and out of GZ via the Scout Camp and the maze of trails that run through the area Smile
The creek and waterfalls are dry as a bone at the moment, but the water run in the area has a good flow in it Razz
The cache meanwhile was found safe and sound under it's blanket.
TFTC

02-Feb-13
Definitely do-able in a 2 wheel drive but would recommend a 4WD Smile pretty scenery.

16-Dec-12
Great area, would never have thought to venture in here!

31-Oct-12

A little walk while dropping the handbrake off

26-Aug-12
We drove to within 100 metres of this cache up the dirt road. I wanted to stop earlier since I was afraid we might get bogged but my wife pushed me to drive closer. The cache itself was found quickly but I was glad to get back to the main road without any incident with our car, which wasn't made for such rough roads.

26-Aug-12
Challenge to get closer to the GZ witha small car but we got there & found the cache Smile signed as Bolitho gang. TFTC Smile

22-Jul-12
Found this one on a caching trip around Bendigo and surrounds on Sunday. We were on a mission to find some unloved caches, a few other puzzles and any others on the way. We also realised I was close to my 500th find so the race was on to make sure that 500 was reached before the day was over and we had to head back to Melbourne. A great day caching!

11-Jun-12
Lovely walk, easy find
Tftc

02-Jun-12
Found with DALLM Smile TFTC took let ring, left gogo and magic balloons

26-May-12
After Bendigo's rain over the last couple of days, I was worried about taking my 4WD down this track. However, no problems. Although many large puddles, the ground was still firm. Found the cache, signed the log. Thanks Jonti.

18-May-12
Why walk when you can drive it was awesome.

18-May-12
Our go-anywhere-zombie-killing-geomobile love the rough tracks through here. Thanks
Found with Aveen and Brepoi.

27-Apr-12
A trickle of water was flowing through the small waterfall. There is evidence of erosion from a heavy downpour in the area which has made the track a bit rough in places. Puddles were extensive but passable. Interesting area. Thanks

25-Apr-12
Nice walk with friends!

10-Apr-12
Short walk on from the road and quickly found the cache. Thanks.

04-Mar-12

"Dry as a chip..." as my dad would say.

TFTC and the 500m walk.

30-Sep-11
Found just before a big storm broke. Good hide. Left Canadian key Ring and took Joker card. TFTC

16-Sep-11
This was a great test of the new 4WD so I am impressed to see it was done in a 2WD. Another interesting location around Bendigo. TFTC.

04-Sep-11
Interesting place that I'd never have found without someone pointing it out!! TFTC

26-Jun-11
Rather than walk, I just drove the 2WD straight up to the cache, the road was pretty rough, but I made it out alive. That's all that counts.

25-Jun-11
Another nice walk in the bush. Interesting terrain. Would be a good place to go gold panning. Hard to keep the kids out of the gully. All the family had fun.

26-Feb-11
Up in Bendigo today for the Flash Mob and Marong meet and greet events. Met up with my mate Blacklegend (Marshy) and cached together for the day; which was rather warm and getting progressively humid as well. Drove in as far as we could then walked the remaining 300 or so meters. There was a bloke with a metal detector prospecting around the nearby old mine mounds and cuttings. The cache was soon located once we were at GZ. Thanks for the hide.

26-Feb-11
One find of 60 for the day with my good mate Marty (Quasar3671) and a couple of my kids, Jasmine and James on our second "Big Bendigo Cache Bash...." In town for the events as well of course.

Drove in to within about 350m of this one, and the kids had fun throwing rocks in puddles on the walk to GZ. Grabbed a few photos as well. Nice spot. Cheers and TFTC.

06-Feb-11
Great walk through the bush. Took little robot and left a little sids teddy bear. Thanks for a great cache.

24-Jan-11
TFTC. Dry waterfall except for the puddle of mud I stood in lol

02-Jan-11
Drove in and parked right beside GZ. Glad to have the extra height of the Patrol as there were large washaways in the track after the recent rain. Cache found, logged and replaced. Lots of beehives nearby to take advantage of the flowers in bloom. TFTC

31-Oct-10
Not so dry waterwalls today, lots a wildflowers out too. TFTC

31-Aug-10
Great place, love the scenery! Left a joker.

29-Aug-10

18th find of the day, and 2456th total find at 15:29.

We've spent an enjoyable day with the Morris and RobMc driving around Bendigo. We've cleared out a fair amount of caches today - and had a great time doing it.

There was actually a dribble of water running over the rocks today.

Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks 379Jonti379 for the cache

Ian and Penny

30-May-10
The recent rain added an extra element to the drive in with the passengers keeping an eye out on the creek side of the road and the erosion. Waterfalls aren't dry today. No exchanges but TFTC

30-May-10
The rain ensued that the track wasn't a 2WD adventure. One section had been badly eroded (about 100 meters from GZ on the right)
Nice spot though. The dry waterfall wasn't. As Lady Morris pointed out, if you looked very closely there were two drips plunging over the top! Smile
A fair bit of erosion around the area though. Glad we didn't go in at night.
Thanks, Robmc.

15-May-10
lovely part of the bush.. Thank You

08-May-10
1523. Would love to be here when the stream is in full flow. Great spot for a cache. Took only 'Combing TB' Travel Bug.

Thanks Jonti

10-Apr-10
We headed off to this one and even though we had quite a bit of rain last night they were still dry waterfalls. The track in on the other hand was far from dry and has been quite eroded by the water rushing off, we would not recommend taking a 2wd along it at the moment. The GPSr pointed directly to gz for a nice easy find and a very, very short walk
Thanks but once more 379Jonti379 for the cache

We parked very close, Crazy Paul (our new recruit) and CCno.2 got out of the car and had it in hand in less that 30 secs. Great to have a quick find. The ride was a bit bumpy even in the 4x4 and it was pitch black as we were here after dark. TFTC, SLTN.

This was find #3 for today's 'Hanseeka Clan's tour of Spring Gully'
You guys certainly know where the good spots are. another lovely location. I risked driving as close to GZ as I could in my 2WD. (Very risky!- involved a bit of wheel spinning on the way out)
Ended up walking about 800 meters to GZ. Walked past a bee farm to get there- the noise from the bees was incredible!
Took pin left coin.

21-Sep-09
This was cache # 28 of 41 for the day, in the company of Alansee on our tour of Bendigo. A nice drive through the bush to see the dry creek I wonder if it was flowing later in the night as it pored down. My thanks to 379Jonti379 for the cache.

21-Sep-09
Done with Acts2youthgroup on a good caching day. We were trying to get into another cache when we ended up here. A careful drive in the AWD had us close and then a short walk to yes, a dry waterfall! It might not have still been that way a few hours later. Thanks 379Jonti379.

11-Sep-09
Found at 1530. The track in was ok seeing we were in a 4Wd. Nice easy find in an interesting location. TNLN Thanks 379Jonti379.

05-Sep-09
Found by Mary & David at 1150. Big puddles now, and we can imagine how this scene could change very quickly. At some stage, there has been some large amounts of water down the creek to cause such erosion. Our thanks as always to 379Jonti379.

28-Aug-09
HAHAHAHA I had a two wheel drive and it was very bumpy sometimes bottoming out on the large rocks protruding out of the road/ goat track. After negotiating the large rocks I was faced with puddles deep enough to bog a monster truck but luckily I was driving a commodore made for Australian conditions.
As I got out of the car at ground zero I spotted the hide before I got a chance to fine tune the GPSr.
Thanks for the hide.

22-Aug-09
my favourite find of the day as stinga4 decided to take myself and jimmymaff for a bush bash with the falcon!!!
fun trip in and back, nice hide!
TFTC

22-Aug-09
Found this morning with stinga4 and hayleyalyce. This was
a fun one for us as stinga took the pretend 4wd falcon up
the track through the puddles. Creek was deeper than
expected. It must really rush through here at times.
TN Left a Comm games badge and a dog.
Thanks 379Jonti379 you have been busy.

I first explored this area some months ago while trying to find access to another cache. I remember the rocky terrain but the puddles weren't here last time. I was feeling a bit brave so decided to push through them as fast as I could and almost got bogged a couple of times. I had a few questions to answer this morning about the cleanliness of the car though! [:o]. The cache was found uncovered so I did my best to hide it away.

Cheers,

R - B

Just back from an interstate trip and checking emails before heading out and bingo, not one but two new caches on the screen and both on the way into town!
Gathered up the necessary info and headed off just down the road. Tracks a bit rough but nothing the 4WD carnt handle and onto a quick find with very good co-ords.
Well done Jonti.

Found by Roma and Max.
We continued on from your other hide and made a much easier find here!
Bendigo will be getting a reputation for accurate co-ordinates as well as for other geo attributes, as this was another very good set of numbers.
We signed the log and made no exchange.
Thanks again Jonti for placing this cache.
