Logs
This cache was still present after all this time. You're supposed to remove them on archival so I did that.
There are lots of logs describing a huff and puff climb but compared to many Welly hills this was pretty low effort. It is a vehicle track after all. Didn't take too long to navigate to the cache itself and found after checking a few expected hiding places. This cache was also lonely by just under a year so is also a final contributor to the lonely cache challenge which I walked past to get here and am about to get. TFTC.
Found on a decent walk up the hill with the geohound on a very windy summer’s afternoon. Emptied a little bit of water out of the container, so unsurprisingly the log is still damp. #1002. TFTC.
Found it on a crisp windy winter morning. Log is damp but managed to write in pencil. Geohound enjoyed the walk and the view from the top TFTC
The end of the track has recently been bulldozed. Looks like they replaced a pylon just over the hill from the cache. The cache is all good if a little damp.
A nice quick find here after a short climb up the hill, while finding a couple of challenge caches in the area. TFTC!
#189. A pleasant evening stroll up the hill for the whole family. Rewarded with nice views down the valley and a glimpse of the sea. Fairly quick find by the girls. Put damp logbook in new ziplock bag with a dry tissue to absorb some of the moisture. TFTC
Have had my eye on this one for awhile, happy to have finally logged it! Quick find after a long hard walk up the hill. Went in the dark for Halloween! Nice view of Tawa all lit up. TFTC. Log book was pretty wet so we dried out the container and made a nest of crunchy dry leaves to soak up some moisture from the book. Wish I carried around spare bags and absorbent things sorry, dead leaves will have to do!
It was a bit creepy walking up here in the dark on Halloween! arrived at GZ and the cache was the first place we looked! Nice easy walk up thanks for the cache!
Sure felt like terrain 4 rather than 2.5 once I made it to the top! Nice views, even on a dull misty evening.
Logbook is quite wet and the pages are coming apart (couple of them were caught by the wind but managed to retrieve them!)

Quick find on a return journey back down the hill.
Cache in good order. Bit of a dull/gloomy morning in the mioddle of winter, so views not spectacular.
Loved the cache name once i read the brief description. Funny!

Got caught in a southerly blast walking up hill to cache. GPS doing strange things under power lines and sent me scurrying through the gorse. Finally found and could have easily avoided gorse. Cannot believe that it hasnt been found for over 6 months as actually straight forward find. TFTC
I turned up at his site nearly two years ago and was promptly sent packing by way of a ambush from the biggest spider I have ever seen. A throbbing finger forced me to immediately scurry back to my car and then on to a doctor who told me he had never before seen fang marks so far apart. The medication supplied wasn't strong enough to ward off infection and I had to return later for something more effective. It all turned out well in the end but my finger did look pretty ugly for a while.
A challenge cache brought me close by this evening so I decided to have another crack. I had no problems although it was a with a little trepidation that I performed the action to retrieve the container. For me, it seemed like a geocaching equivalent of getting back on a horse or bicycle after falling off.
TFTC. Great views from this site.

Many a month ago, last time Banian and I were within one kilometre of the cache, we decided to leave it for another day. So today, to keep the August streak going, we visited the cache. Great views today, sun shining, and we didn't have to fight with gorse! TFTC, log a bit damp
Only cache found today, day 10 of the August challenge and Redants Birthday as well. Sunny day with little wind, good day to walk up hills. SL TFTC.
TFTC. There is a gorse free route up here, and the views are worth it! Another step on the way to two challenges; the 100 day challenge and the cache hider challenge - just 4 more letters to get now!
Cache # 1,191 - Not nearly as bad uphill as I expected, although bad enough given I've been sick for over a month with a glandular-fever type illness. This just happened to be the most convenient cache today for me, day 76 in a row. Nice views from up there - the look out over Makara is especially pleasant. Good hiding spot. Cache a bit damp, including the internal bag, but logbook still ok. Nice to finish off this part of Granada for traditional caches. TNLNSL - twice, as I signed the empty spot after what I thought was the last log, then turned the page to find 3 more logs. TFTC!
Puffed my way up the hill - note to self get fit!! - picked a beautiful day for it tho. Quick find with scottjpalmer. TFTC!
Coming down from Horokiri road first one for today. Nice views. TFTC. Sherlock Hood.
Scenic views on a calm morning. Huffed and puffed up the hill. Should have missed out on this morning's gym session. Shame about all the power lines.
Nice easy find looking around then there sitting was the cache so logged the logbook and put it back as found it
I am quite surprised that many people do not do this one as it was an easy find. I did this one with my 2yr old for a bit of resistance. Not much wind this morning on the first of my walks today. Thanks for the exercise.

A quick grunt up the hill and the cache was soon located, had to be mindful of the gorse so had to weave through it.

I didn't see anyone playing paintball either - but it was full dark!
Nice easy walk up to the gz and I did find a bit of gorse to bash while I was there.

Didn't notice anyone playing paint ball on the way up today, but some great views from the top. TFTC!
There was paintball warfare going on as we made our way to the cache. We were lucky not to get shot, as noticed some paint pellets on the road as we descended. Good fun squishing the unexploded ones!

#2223. Took a bit of a scenic route for the last bit to GZ, but cache was quickly found. Nice views, but a blustery northerly meant we didn't linger. TFTC.
#642. A quick find on the way home from work. No paintballs at 1830 - no surprise there. Great views at GZ, TNLNSL, TFTC.
Needed to get out for an mtb ride so I decided to that I might as well swing by and do this cache at the the same time. Unfortunately the view from the GZ was restricted by the cloud cover. TFTC
A neat spot with a great view. It was a little bit windy but not too bad, clear skies so could see for ages. As I was climbing a secion just below the cache i heard the popping of paint ball guns so was a bit cautios for the last ~100m. The paintball field is definatley still in use but the track is far away enough for it not to be an issue.
After completing one on the other side of the valley by climbing to the top of the ridge line, thought I'd do the same over this side. Slight detour off tracks on the way up added to the time spent wading through long grass but once back on the program it was an easy find. Good views from the GZ back down the valley. Due to the haze, the SI was not visible today. TFTC
#141 - First find in three months! Cache is all well, dry, and safe... great walk to the top, and a very nice area. You could spend many days in this rolling landscape. Also, if you look verryyy far into the distance, you can see the mountain tops of the South Island. Took pictures, left footprints, SL TFTC!
A nice walk up the hill to this one. No wind and awesome views. Sometimes it pays to trust your receiver though, rather than assuming where things are. TFTC SL Cheers!
Puff Puff, Pant Pant.. What a climb to get up here... And pretty sure we'll have to come back for another cache nearby that we haven't solved.. Fantastic views from up here.. T4TC

Quick find, long walk. Decided to grab this one after the skies started to clear. Great views at GZ, Suspect they would be awesome on a fine day.

A quick find at sunset with a fantastic view on a perfect Wellington evening. Made the mistake of trying to come up directly instead of following the 4WD track and for the second time on the same day ended up having to combat rather a lot of gorse. Signed log, TFTC!
Thought we had found this last month when we were hunting in the area and met fellow cachers at a near by cache. found it today instead
Jr taybee has this own account how am logging this old find under his new Username (Jr taybee) was log as part of taybee team
One of the best things about geocaching is when it takes you to a spot that you haven't visited before with fantastic views and this cache certainly delivered in both counts for us. Thanks for the cache, Matt.
"POP, POP, POP, OW!" Yes, the paintball range is still active. I heard these sounds coming from below as I retrieved the cache.
My earliest memory of the Belmont was about 1971 when the local traffic cop came to school. The Belmont was used as a police car for many years. At that time, the traffic cars were light grey with a single red light. They seem to have done a bit of work on the visibility since then!

3TF. A nice brisk walk up to GZ, good to get the circulation going in the chilly afternoon air. Cache found quickly . TNLN SL 1550hr TFTC
Night visit, nice little walk on a pleasant but cool evening. Not much daylight of course at this time of year but I was familiar with the area which helped the navigation in the dark. Lots of twinkly lights made for an interesting view.

FTF (16:20) Whoopee!!!!! , came home after doing a FTF and took my Geocaching gear off to call it a day, but was pleasantly surprised that there was another cache that has just turned up, on with the gear and off I went again, arrived at the parking spot and a quick walk up the hill avoiding the passing shots from the local paintballers (WARNING !!!! do not step off the track) arrived at GZ and found cache within seconds, what a spectacular view, COOL, dropped off Terry the Tuatara TB for a rest, TFTC TNSL(769)
