Cache has gone MIA after being interfered with a number of times. Will try to place another in this park at a place that will not be so susceptible to muggles.
The owners are going to go check on it and will then act accordingly.
Don't look for it until you see an update!

Gave this one another look today with a couple of helpers but still no success. I would be curious to know if this one is missing in action.
I'd like to think that I put in a good effort. Unfortunately I came away empty handed.
Speedmistress Triumphs. 2nd cache by pushbike on a 22km ride today. Took Travel Bug. TFTC
Found in the company of Speedmistree while cycling around the area. Nice park with plenty of facilities. TNLN. TFTC smithzonians
Don't live too far from here and never new this place was nearby. I've also found a great little fishing place where I don't have to travel to the coast. Talking to an angler and his father caught a hammerhead shark here.
Found this one on a sunday stroll with the family. I hadn't had much luck with another cache in this park the other times I'd been up for Christmas. Found easily and swapped a couple of coins. Thoroughly enjoyable cache TFTC
found it
great place for picnic.
will come back with family and friends
thanks for the cache and hunting

Nice walk around the lake to GZ then a quick find. Left Halga the moose TB. There were several water fowl chicks on the lake - must be late spring TFTC Smithzonians.
Possum found this cache easily with the help of geograndkids Hannah and Mica. Most muggles had been scared off by the massive dust storm that hit the park while we were there so we had no danger of being spotted behaving strangely. This NZer can recognise Aussie trees enough to understand the hint. Left birthday cake candle (unused) and dinosaur, took glow in the dark star and sister city badge. TFTC.
Had a 30 minute look around today, but plenty of other people watching made it hard to snoop properly.
Plenty of pruning going on, gardeners must be fussy.
Will try again another day.

Easy find on a pleasant afternoon. Muggles everywhere but a quick step to the right had me undercover.

The lunchtime crowd were assembled on the lawns and in the picnic shelters when I arrived.
Unfortunately that meant I was the centre of attention as I strolled along the opposite side of the lake.
How on earth was I going to disappear into the undergrowth to nab this cache without looking suspicious ? [:o]
The answer......very slowly
I sat down in full view of the audience. Then over a period of about 5 minutes slowly shuffled in behind a nearby overhanging branch.
Satisfied that everyone had just assumed I had moved on without their noticing I was now free to search for the cache
Unfortunately there were none of those bright yellow warning signs close to the cache and I had to keep reminding meself "Don't Touch The Fence"
I almost did on more than one occasion
But eventually the only tingle I felt was that of success at unearthing this well hidden cache [^]
I dropped in "Buddha #2" travel bug to appreciate the peaceful surrounds of the lake
And I grabbed the Alabama 2006 geocoin.
TFTC.

The sun was setting over the lake as I approached. It was a lovely setting with all the ducks swimming around.
I avoided the temptation to touch the fence.
Found the cache quite easily even though it had a good cover.
Took out the Travel Bug and left an Alabama geocoin.
Much better location that the previous cache in this park.
Found cache (thanks Sunshine Toledo) to check on it since it had been interfered with.
Log sheet was still in there dry & safe, but the rest of the container was quite damp.
Dried container, put in silica gel bag to help with moisture & decided to put the TB, coins etc in a small ziplock as well.
Returned cache to original coordinates & hope it's not muggled again!
As of today the cache contains:
1 TB; nz coin; us coin; badge from Logan's sister city in Japan; glow in the dark star.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga at 2:56pm. Unfortunately we found this cache out in the open. Maybe it's hide can be seen too easily from the car park on the other side. The log is gone but fortunately 2 TB's were still there on the ground so I took one. Couldn't sign the log. Out: TB Golf TFTC... PM sent
I started a little later this morning than I usually do and was hoping that the area would be quiet. Yep, sure was... apart from a few muggles over the back who were on some kind of fitness regime. [^] I can imagine this would be a difficult grab during the warmer months when the shelters over the other side of the lake are occupied.
Only a short stroll from the car park... The lake looks a little bigger on google earth and I was expecting a longer trek. Still, I enjoyed it while it lasted.
Took TB anc Coin and left TB.
Cheers Smithzonians.

Hard to believe-but after all this time a STF-where was everybody.
The electric fence-I don't think it has been active for a long time-but then again, the day you test it it will be!!
TFTC
Dropped off some coins.
Cheers

Yeah ... *FTF*. Mrs Lat&Long saw this one pop up on the computer and called me with the co-ordinates. Made a dash from 8 km east and after walking to GZ in the rain, managed to find the cache at the exact time I was wishing I'd brought a torch. A close call indeed. That electric fence is a nice touch (excuse the pun). I couldn't believe how badly I wanted to try it . Probably a good thing, sanity prevailed. Grabbed the Influenzia DELUXE Virus coin (that's topical) and signed the log. Fabulous park this one. Even late on a rainy day, there were lots of cars and people about.
