Thanks for the cache. I think the location is too well hidden and not really in a very safe place. There are other more suitable hiding places around, but that is just my opinion. The w2k trail itself is awesome and highly recommended!
#2543. Lovely track. Excellent views, specially from GZ. We walked from Kinloch (so was that "k2w"?), and returned the same way. The sign at the start of the track however did say "walkers should give way to bikers" though. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Took a while to find, but it is there! More than a little way off the track I would say. Lucky I had my mountain goat friend from Switzerland with me! Took TB. Left footprints! Great view today. Carried on to loop lookout.
scrambled around this area for some time. Couldn't find it. so either blind or because it hasn't been found since April, it is grown over... who knows. Did find a cellphone well jammed between some rocks.
We were originally going to walk this track, but took our mt bikes instead, and I'm glad we did, the track is fantastic, and thoroughly enjoyed the headland loop. We picked this cache up on the way back to Kinloch, lovely view over the bay. TFTC. Cheers Robinson, Jimmy and Greg.

This was one of those "dont know why I waited this long to do this one" caches, all the planets were aligned today, and we had the MTB in the van so collected a few early morning finds after staying the night at Kinloch, very peaceful place.
I encourage more to come out and do this one, it wont take you more than an hour from Kinloch return and the views are worth it.

Good spot - little off track. Found with Bagels Bunch. Enough of a walk that I think D will sleep well in car on way home!! Another glorious sunny but crisp day - making for spectacular views acids the Western Bays - worth lugging the camera kit.
A good brisk walk on a beutiful sunny afternoon.
The views are much better now that the pines have been skittled.
Easily found, TFTC NINO

What a New Years day. After deciding to cycle from Coles Killer to Kinloch and proceeding to complete W2K track. I was totally shattered.
Great view from the rocks down to Kinloch bay. My second cach for 2010 took some time and I am happy the family did not attempt this one with me. Easy find.

A great bike ride from Kinloch to Whakaipo Bay. Enjoyed the swim afterwards. I think we chose the right direction too. Loved the roller coaster type ride down the hill! Took a bit to find cache. A great adventure.... TFTC
An impressive new track, which we walked up from Boojum Dell - 2.5 kms. Nice view from the cache, although not along the way. Passed several bikers, all of whom gave way to us as they are supposed to. TFTC
Shame I wasn't I my bike, but I sat on the "Hot ROCS" and had more than a gLANCE at scenery. Good spot.
Found at 4-10 pm, Quick find, lovely day , lovely walk, lovely view, thanks.

Beautiful day, great fun grovelling around the thistles, but thrilled to find it. Hippo has moved on.
Awesome hide! Very nice spot, enjoyed the walk rather than the bike ride this time.

Nice walk, great views, easy find. TFTC. Also thanks to all the local enthusiasts hard work in creating such an awesome track. We will be back with mountain bikes.
Our first visit to Kinloch and the W2K track. A friend took us on the track, we took him on his first geocache hunt. Abundance of bird life, great views and great track.
Left this one alone yesterday when my wife did the Half marathon up this track -a bit busy with 1000 participants, but went up early today instead. Great little walk and superb view from GZ. Found exactly where GPS took me. Was just pausing to do the clue and there it was!
Walk distance was 2.5km one way from Kinloch end, on easy grades, so surprised there are so few logs on this one. Highly recommended, and by MTB would be even better.
Thanks

Well what can I say, second to find. I went straight to the cache today. I should have trusted my GPS yesterday, although the cache is in a tricky little hide. Well done Coloradokiwis for the first to find and ecfam for a well put together cache in a great spot.
I'm not sure if there is a category for this but we get to log the first did not find. Our trainee cache hunting dog, ash, really enjoyed the walk but he is clearly not up to the job yet. I was up this way at the beggining of summer and there have been big changes with a lot of pine tree felling which has really opened up the views and will no doubt give the natives a chance to grow. I was a bit contstrained for time just going for a quick walk in my lunch hour and a half so didn't have time for a really good look.
Thanks Ecfam for a great cache site. Amazing views. Got thigh burn getting up here before dark. Cheers, Mate!
