Total destruction of the gz area and the majority of the items used as part of the hunt necessitates archiving of the cache. May review the area in the future unless someone else gets to it first. Have considered a railway themed puzzle cache which would be appropriate for the area. That may be a hint for someone to do something rather than just a traditional.
Had a few problems here. The playground has been demolished and is about to have a refit. Couldn't find the sign for A. Tried a few guesses with the missing numbers which all took me to an onvious place that fits the hint. But still nothing turned up. That's the third DNF this morning.
New eclipse in place. Clues for A are readable through safety fence surrounding the dismantled playground. Will amend clues asap.
The playground was deserted this morning (which was just as well as I didn't have the junior members of the family with me for cover) so I soon had the required numbers and it was off to the final where I sonn uncovered the cache. Nice views from the gz - Thanks for bringing me here to enjoy them. TFTC
Went out for a cache last night with the youngest one,she played while I worked out co-ords.
Nice easy find.
Unfortunately young missy had a melt down when I told her it was time to leave.

There are few caching activities I like less than searching in, under and around flax bushes. Luckily the search proved fruitful this time. Great view at GZ...of a couple of teenagers sucking face! thanks for bringing me to this lovely little spot. Must bring the Littlejardisliketardises her some time. TFTC
Oops. Forgot I found this, so unsure of the date that I signed in the log. I think I decided to find it as it hadnt been found for some time, so it must have been early-ish April.
This was one of those random 'I was in the area' caches, and seeing I was with my youngest son, I didnt need to look suspicious around the play area solving the clues, as I left him to it. After a thorough search around the base of the bush, we finally found it. It looked as though the bush had grown over it. A nice place to have a cache, albeit rather exposed to the young families playing in the park, now that the trees have been culled. TFTC.

Found all the clues and the final location but could not find the cache searched for about 10 mins no joy.
Managed to go round and round a bit gathering the information, but lovely day and great park to explore. Got to final location and sure enough, there it was. Fun multi thanks. TFTC
#2251. Had lunch overlooking the sea, and polished this off while parked near by. After getting the info needed, I had to rush off to avail myself of the excellent talking loo (as advertised in the cache description). By the time I returned Troodles had the coords, and it was a pretty quick find at GZ. Great look-out spot. TFTC.
Really nice little park and the locals seem to agree as it was muggle central on a lovely autumn day. The miniature railway was a surprise, a lot of effort and money has gone into building it and I hope it is well used in summer.
Liked the location of the final.

Got it at last! Seem to spend a lot of time in this park, but its taken a few goes to pick this up. TFTC
A great evening, lovely views, with good company. Had the kids running all round to get the answers to the clues. Found with Aden0303. TFTC
New container - small green systema in place - not buried in the vegetation but tucked under on SW edge more W than S. Suggest no TBs or coins placed just in case.
Unless someone has replaced it well away from original location it has gone. Collected up some bottles and will make new container asap.
Found this afternoon on a caching expedition in the area. No problems with the questions - although there is more than one answer for the first one the correct answer can be deduced easily. A quick find for the final. Signed log, TFTC and for bringing me to an interersting little park that I had never been to before.
Had the sheets printed in the car for a while and, while running early for a meeting, decided to come and have a nosy around here. Completed with no mugles around - will return here over the summer with the rest of the team now that I know about this spot. TFTC

Great spot. Miniture Trains running, great fun.

No trouble with the puzzle, needed all our stealth skills to avoid being seen by teenage muggles near the site. NINO TFTC
FINALLY found it! Took quite a few attempts. Had right bush, just couldn't find it at all!

Was on SH1 heading south again so returned to have another go at finding this one - tips from the owner and nzgrobanite helped, but it still took a while to lay hands on the container - it's well hidden! Checking with a compass it is on the west side (ocean side) of the feature in the hint - had not checked this side so thoroughly the first time. Another beaut day to enjoy lunch near the beach, thanks.
Checked GZ this morning - all fine and secure. No need to delve deep into the vegetation.
Since going back a FOURTH time, I have finally found it. Had the right flax bush, but just couldn't find the cache.
Hint for others going for it: it is NW at base of flax bush, not SW as hint says
Took North Island Hector's Dolphin Geocoin, left a heart and a bunch of flowers

We took the grandchildren to this park and they had a wonderful time at the playground and in the paddling pool. Our calculations took us to what looked like the correct spot matching the hint, but unfortunately after a thorough search we were not successful in finding the cache. We will return!
Found North Island Hector's Dophin Geocoin today and was planning to take it back to Alaska next week until I read the coin's mission. The coin's mission is to stay on the North Island in caches with great ocean views. I returned to this cache today and added the coin since this cache has a most excellent ocean view.
Great location and view of the ocean and beach from the park. Would have liked to see the train run! I removed a couple beer bottles from near the cache and placed them in the garbage container in the park.
Freshly fueled with morning coffee from a nearby cafe I decided the gardens beckoned for a walk. GZ took a bit of searching as these spots always confuse me. Removed a number of bottles and cans to leave the spot tidy. Dropped off a racy little car GC and a gold travel slug. TFTC
Stopped and completed this puzzle on the way into Wellington for the day. Enjoyed the park. We have been impressed with all the high quality playgrounds here in NZ compared to the US. I have been going through second childhood trying all the new equipment. Picked up the gold travel slug and car TB
A pleasant cruise around the gardens, all clues came up OK, quick find. There used to be another (traditional) cache at GZ some time back called "Zippy's Loot". TNLNSL, TFTC.
Jr taybee has this own account how am logging this old find under his new Username (Jr taybee) was log as part of taybee team
A great cache, our older child had great fun running around the railway tracks as the trains where not running.

Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 321. Cool spot and place for kids. Thanks.
Bit of a hunt as getting East and West mixed up, me being in the Southern Hemisphere so many miles from home in Blackpool England! Grandson eventually spotted it! Left 10cents. Took a fairy.
Perfect caching weather today. Wet and windy, so this was a completely muggle free zone. We wandered around taking in the required info, and quickly had the cache in hand at the GZ. A nice wee park - gonefishing jr was expressing in interest in returning when the train is running.

My coordinates did not match where the cache was but the correct flax was obvious enough.

Great spot for a cache, Mini YuGeo enjoyed himself immensely. Pity the trains weren’t running, he would have had even more fun.

took a friend with me to try to entice her to join us. A nice find and enjoy the hr we were there.
Stopped nearby for lunch (very nice fish and chips) and then took a stroll through the gardens.. Loved the little trains and wished we were kids again..
Solved the puzzles fairly easily and eventually found the cache.. I would say the hint should be NW side not SW side but still obvious enough to find it..
Thanks for showing us this lovely spot...

Thanks Bkj97 for another entertaining cache. Good location for final, as even when park is busy it is likely to be still able to found without attracting much attention. SL took GC left Travel slug TFTC
Third playground cache today. Another straightforward find, out of sight of the brave muggle children still using the playground in the cold late afternoon. TFTC
#150. Relatively quiet at 10am on a Sunday morning. I initially had trouble determining GZ - but that happens when you incorrectly read the questions... Once I resolved that, it was a nice quick find, SL, TFTC. -teddy, -lizard, +umbrella, +tinkerbell.

Fourth cache for the day yes another interesting multi, glad that I did it mid week as I can just imagine how hard it would be to solve and get on the weekend , I think this site is really muggle central at that time, found final quite quickly, Took 2008 Tennessee Micro Geocoin, BUT no sign of DDRAMS DDRAMS Gold Geocoin #12, I MUST be blind or it has already being taken by someone else, COOL multi, TFTC LNSL (783)
Since this cache is 5mins from both work and home I'm a bit slow to get here. Did the clue hunting last night and the cache find this afternoon on my way home from school.
Like ADV it made me smile - ah fond memories.

I'll admit, I was going after the FTF on this one ....but I had a feeling it wasn't at either:
a) the airport, nor
b) the front yard of a residential address!
But upon seeing the correction (and ADV's little thought - thanks!), it was a simple find. Nice GZ
TNLNSL
Cheers,
Blarghster.

Well I just couldn't stay away. Decided to detour past on my way back home from spending the day in Otaki (on business ). A nice quick find with the corrected information.. TNLN SL TFTC
I must have gone wrong on this one somewhere? Worked out the answers but got some co-ords that took me across the road into somebody’s front garden. Rechecked things but got the same result. Had to give it away as I had run out of time.
FTF at 10:55am.
A cool looking railway and a nice playground.
The answer that I got for F took me to the wrong place, so I had to subtract 2 to get to the right place.
A quick find once I was in the right place.
+geocoin
Thanks.

Can see from the FTF log why I couldn’t find it. Missed out on the find and FTF but never mind
Thanks NZcoozer for finding the missing "minus 2 " for "F".
My error cutting and pasting into HTML. Apologies to Boxhill, will buy you a beer sometime. Updated WP today.

3rdTF. Couldn't understand where I went wrong. Did the same as boxhill, rechecked co-ords which wanted to take me across to the Hotel.....mmmm and whats wrong with that you may wonder, . However, after reading the logs and the amendment, went back and found the cache quickly.

2TF - Never pays to rush into these things With the benefit of nzcoozer's log no problem working out the co-ordinates and making the find (thank you). The final made me smile a bit, but I'm not telling, some others who do this cache will understand.
Great spot, kids used to play here quite a bit some years ago so I enjoyed the re-visit.
