A nice quick find, I particularly liked the gc logo that marked the spot. Found with rumpuslabs, tftc
I'm doing a 3-week bucket list road trip around South Island, and after crossing the Alps to the West Coast yesterday, ending up in Punakaiki overnight, I'm now heading south.Stopped in Hokatiki to see the sights and to do the ALs here. With loads of fave points, this cache caught my attention so came looking for it. Great hide and an easy hide thanks to the hints in logs. Thanks for hiding this cache.
What a little beauty! Loved this hide. Saw all the fav points on this so we thought wed stop and have a look what all the love was about. Now we know. Have another. Thank you.
Looked for a while passing back and forth from the fence. I thought I had spotted the cache and sruggled to reach it before sticking my head in further and realizing it wasnt the cache. Oh well no luck today.
CaptainVimes and I have crossed the ditch to attend the Geo Toroa mega in Dunedin and tour around the South Island for two weeks.Lucky there's no spiders in NZ. I would not have been reaching in there blind back home. Thanks no.13 and happy caching
Spent the afternoon patrolling down Misbegot Bridge, where the fences operate. Id like to say theyre like the citys pawnshops, but pawnshops dont generally keep their merchandise stuffed into damp sacks in a cellar. Fences are a special breed. Their whole business relies on the idea that most people in this city dont ask too many questions as long as the price is right.
This was a really great place to hide a cache. Good thing the owner was understanding. TFTC.
#3916 Today is day 12 of my geocaching vacation in New Zealand. Because it was raining pretty hard, I forewent the plan to go to the gorge and went to Monteith's Brewery in Greymouth instead. Found it on my way to dinner. I almost touched the wrong thing because of one of the finds earlier. Good thing I saw something more promising. no.13, thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan on October 12, 2024 @ 18:35:42[GC1V1BG] fenced out pt 2 the absolom chronicle (West Coast) was a D1.0/T1.0 Small Traditional Cache at the time of finding.
Thank you for the cache. It was a bit hard to get the cache out. Got help from the owner of this place. Greetings from Osnabrck (Germany )
A straightforward find on a lovely evening stroll after visiting the Wild food festival. Thanks for placing the cache
QEF as where stated. TFTC and greetings from the UK. Favourite point for the effort of etching
Clever. Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
Found with Blue Jay on our second day in Hokitaki while driving around New Zealand. Today we visited the Kiwi center and a Jade factory as well as getting some caches. Great place for a cache. Fp awarded. TFTC. Toffee Man.
I'm on a round trip through New Zealand with a group and we stayed two nights in Hokitika. Today I had some time to collect some geocaches. Thank you for the nice cache! Many greetings from Germany.
Mr BLB spotted the symbol and we then soon had the cache to hand. We were fascinated to watch the refuse collection lorry by here as it picks up and empties the bins with no manual handling. The UK could do to learn from NZ though our streets are too crowded with parked cars for lorries to get near the bins! Tftc
Had to be stealthy as a few cars kept driving past even the local police - eventually found and quickly rehid TFTC
Popped into Hokitika today and grabbed several caches while here.Parked nearby and a quick find made hereTFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Thanks for an easy but very nice find. Especially liked the carving on the stone. Rainy day but not too bad, we went along the beach to find some stones (other sort of treasure I enjoy collecting).
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.Very cool, we were able to find it quickly. We are happy to add another blue ribbon here....Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from SwitzerlandPS: Translated with the Deepl app

Very clever hide. A muggle walked past whilst I was searching and said hello. Goodness knows what she must have been thinking with me poking around a random fence. Love the hint but took me a couple of passes before I realised what it was. Well deserving of a shonky fav point.
Arrived at Ground Zero and after some searching, found the hint and there was the cache. A man in a walker came past and looked at me funny as I attempted to stealthy re-place the cache. TFTC
Here with a group of Americans that I brought over by bus, out at the Gorge today & back to Chch tomorrow for them to fly out to Queenstown onto their next adventure, have some time so why not look for a chche - nice walk around Hokitika - TFTC
We pulled up nice and close for this one. I adjusted the van to give 1MinnieMoo as much cover as possible. 1MinnieMoo soon spotted the clever prize. Very well done. TFTC no.13
25/9/2023 Find #6610Day 17 of the Fangsoki/1MinnieMoo New Zealand South Island adventure. Todays journey would take us from Hokitika to Nelson. A lot of driving to be done, but before we began the trip towards Nelson, we just had to detour for a couple of older caches in Hokitika first. Having grabbed them, we were passing back through Hokitika and had to make a stop for this one on the list. At GZ we had to wait out a lady who was trying desperately to send a cat into a yard - not her cat and possibly not the cats yard. Then the cache location was quickly spotted but I Had to remove the snails to extract the cache. Bert nice etching job here. Thanks for the cache no.13.
A favourite for the etching on the cache host. Nice hide and thankfully pretty quiet up this end of town. Cheers

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of New Zealand / Aoteroa, as we geocache throughout their land while on holiday.

Definitely found the right place, and the hiding place, but no cache in there. Previous searcher logged a DNF and it seems after reading through logs that this one has a history of going AWOL from time to time, maybe drops out? Anyway, picture for proof as I don't want to log a DNF as I'm a long way from home and it will likely be a long while before I make it back to Hokitika (unfortunately, because I love it here). Tftc - very cool.
With permission of the co I may log this one.
Even with my head through the bushes, I couldn't find anything, while I was looking at the right spot.
Too bad the cache is gone again.
no.13, thank you so much!

Day 1 of 4 on the Wilderness cycle trail. While we were stopped at gz with our bikes resting against the fence, an elderly gentleman with his Zimmer frame stopped to talk to us. Once he had carried on with his walk, we zoomed in for a quick find. TFTC
Out for a brisk walk at dusk great cache wish we had one like that in our fence.

Cool fence; thank you to the owners for agreeing to have this on their property and for the time in making the special art.
