Great views! Clue certainly helps.
Found cache in open, replaced under cover. Log book is full - writing on cardboard cover.
If you are coming from GC Lookout Trig, there's a tunnel at the end of Grandview Parade (south side), to get you under the busy road.

After a few wrong stumps I finally came up with the right one (I am only using a phone). Left new logbook and treasure. TFTC
Found within minutes. Great view and i was surprised to see the amount of flying foxes in the trees. TFTC
Again, another park I knew of but never been in. Smelled the fruit bats before we heard and then saw them. An easy find. Took nothing, left a halfpenny.
what a nice spot and nice cache. as a huge bonus there was a car "for sale" right where we parked and it was the make and model a friend has been looking for for ages.
The first thing we noticed when we arrived wasn't the view, but the smell! Heaps of fruit bats has settled in the trees below and the wind was blowing up the valley! Anyway we grabbed the cache and sat down for lunch. A really nice spot. Resident didnt seem to be home.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
We've lived in this area for years and have often visited Blackbutt but never knew this lookout existed! That's what we love aboutgeocaching!

Great views of the city and Black But reserve.
Was a good place to put my new TB "KAR KAR THE KOALA" to star his travels.
Thanks The Cash Man.

The log on this one is full and needs replacing, I didn't have any spare log books with me as I was on my bike.
Great Views.
Great Views.
Tried this one two days ago with no luck as muggles were way to interested in what I was doing.
Young muggles too the kind that would take a cache.
So came back today and had the park to myself.
love the effort for the camo and might emulate the naming method.
Thanks for placing this cache, cheers GUIO.

Nice hide with great views. Glad we finally had a reason to stop there as we knew about the lookout but had never been before.
Our second cache of the day and for 2012 while caching with Team Unibolt and geotoddler and geobaby. Nice easy find. A friendly muggle had found the night before while watching the New Years fireworks and left a nice note and party popper in the cache. How many caches will we find this year...TFTC!
I remember coming here as a teenager on night abseiling trips. Easy and quick find. TFTC
I was taking the kids for a treat to watch that new Tintin movie in 3 dimensions.
(and it was good, even though I am normally not a fan of the 3d).
I have driven past this cache quite a few times, I have been saving it for a day like today. I gave the GPS to the kids and enjoyed watching their fun.

I've driven past here thousands of times and didn't realise this lookout was there. Next picnic with the girlfriend I think.
Sir les pats placed this in the city views and Cpt Brown Beard has moved it from their trackable inventory. Sorry for the delay
Didn't find trackable...quick find tho, geokids swapped some swag, watched the bats. TFTC
A quick stop on a pre- dinner cache hunt. The clue led me astray at first, however once I imvoked the power of the gps all eas revealed quickly.
Man!!! there is a huge colony of bats over the cliff, it even became a little scary as the dark encroached.
Cache is in good order.
SL TFTC Cashman (again!)

Interesting spot, there was a rescue crew doing some abseiling training here today, nice spot to look across the valley, TFTC.
Yes a great view from this little hideaway. took a monocular and we checked out the hundreds of bats just hanging around in the trees TFTC
Drive past this spot all the time but never new this lookout was here...Great views.
GPS led me straight to the hide and a very quick find.....Didn't see any geocoin in the cache.
SL TFTC Left my calling card.

Spooky find this one for me. Saw a hint from high up on the road so headed there straight away (I was in a hurry). I was about 7 meters out but it made sense to me. It had only been found the same day so I was sure it would be there. Was looking and prodding for a while with no luck. There was no Cache here I thought. Re-read the previous logs and had to keep looking. I tapped on the lid of a plastic bucket and thought beauty. This was fairly well covered and definately hadn't been dug up in the last 24hrs. It was one of our containers for sure, I could even make out some black texta writing on the lid. I thought the previous cachers must have logged it without signing the log book(sorry for thinking that previous finders). The hint had recently fallen over so thought I was onto a good thing.
On digging off the dirt with a stick and my bare hands, the lid read something like- In memory of our black bunny (name) we loved you. From the such and such family and puppy dog. Lucky I read that first and left the lid on. Some one's pet Bunny Rabbit had been buried here, the tree has fallen over and uncovered/uplifted the plastic coffin[:o] I quickly and respectfully recovered him and hope no one/nothing finds it again.
Any way, the real cache was soon found and signed. Cheers from the Browngang

Looked over it three or four times before i realised it was there. Do like the view. Good spot.
Walked through Blackbutt Reserve, found the cache and had morning tea overlooking the view. TFTC
Our 4805th overall find.
Nice views from here, Shell cheated and went for the clue early and it only ended up costing her time. Nice to get a find or two while in the area researching a new cache.
Thanks to The Cash Man for the cache. *Overall Experience: 3* http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Rating

TFTC. Driving around it the reserve does look as big as it does from the lookout.
Wow great spot! Take a pair of binoculars and enjoy the views. Well worth the trip, Team_DKS
Reperio at 1645. Stopped by here after work and after parking across the road and down a bit, I made my way over to GZ and was surprised by the set up here. Nice little view, and after a short search the cache was eventually found.
Gratias.

We found the cache on our Boxing Day run. Finding the cache was easy compared to finding a park nearby. We drove around the area wondering where we could park the Rolls with it being damaged by locals. Finally Mr Morgan stopped in traffic, got out and raised the bonnet. While he marvelled at the engineering master piece,( the first time he has ever seen the engine) Mrs Morgan retrieved the cache. Photos were taken of the bella vistas. Thanks for bringing us to this god forsaken park. TFTC SL

oh quickly turn off freeway, phew, walk a bit down walkway, found it very well hide... thanks
Always wanted to stop here for a look - the geocache gave us the excuse. Great views! TFTC.
A quick easy find on the way home this afternoon. Nice spot Cash Man!
Made sure we trod carefully, thankfully no snake in sight.
Took nothing, left key ring for someone with a Geobaru.

Ok, so it turns out Team Rocket are a bunch of wimps, and all the previous mentions of snakes MAY have made us more paranoid and ridiculous than usual. In the end, we decided M-Dogg could retrieve the cache, so long as Mik-El put it back. What Mik-El didn't realise was, if a snake WAS in there, M-Dogg would have woken it, leaving HIM to deal with the cranky woken up snake! Thankfully, it turned out to be a fairly uneventful cache, even if it DID scare us half to death.
Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?
Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?
So it turns out M-dogg and Mik-el have something else in common: a massive fear of snakes. I've already had a run in with one this year and was glad I didn't encounter another one. I miss winter and it's lack of snakes already!
Found at 12.15pm GAFF4. Apart from the beautiful view on such a clear day, we came across the resident Diamond (we think it’s a Diamond python, but it had a much smaller head) coming out of its hole and sunning itself – very docile thank goodness!
Checked all of the spots nearby, but couldn’t find anything at GZ, which looked like it had been raided by muggles judging by the mess that was around.
Eventually went to a spot that we thought was out of bounds (ie too far from GZ) after confirmation from the owner.
Thanks The Cash Man – couldn’t see any flying foxes today, but we saw enough wildlife to keep us going thanks!

Definately deserving of a cache! enjoyed the screeching neighbours below too, no snake today though Thanks for bringing us here

DO NOT go to the LEFT of the seat to stump of this area as that is where the snakes home is and my hubby almost stepped on it!
First of many today. Left a TB to continue its travels!

Raced Gogu to the cache. Accidentally hit him in the head with a water bottle, but he didn't feel it. Very nice hide, TFTC
2nd / 3 caches for todays caching trek. Started from Mahoney Drive Carpark (way up past richley ponds) and trekked through the reserve. Didn't know if I'd be able to get up to the lookout but fonud and old track up the hill blocked by trees and overgrown bushes but got up there without too much hassle.
Located the virtually straight away with the hint. Took in the sights and took some photos of the magnificent view and the snake that has returned and headed on my way back through the reserve.
Wasn't aware the lookout even existed. so thanks for a great hide and leading me to such a fantastic spot.
Took 1 x skull coin and left jumbo playing card (leaving a different one from the pack in every cache I find.)

A quickish find once I picked the right tree! A nice looking cache to boot.
This was just a quick stop on the way through. TFTC!

Lovely view. We didn't know this was here. There was a diamond python guarding another 45 degree angle tree. Mr Chippyroo thought it might have been the cache.....
We have visited the animals in Blackbutt Reserve before, it is a great area. The lookout is becoming overgrown but was only a short walk from the car park, past Friday night traffic. The view would have been better before the houses were built. TNLN, but thanks for the hide.
A nice an easy find, with nobody to share the views with (including muggles - luckily) Found during Rudi63 and the Walenators assualt on a "Everything North of Sydney" caching weekend TFTH....SL...TNLN
Hi Cashman
To Thank you for your help I droped by one of your caches today.
I have never been to this look out before although I knew there was something there as I have seen the railing from the road. It has a great view of the city.
Thanks
Phil

This one hasn't seen daylight for some time so I thought we had better grab this one on the way through to a few other caches...The view is excellent, but wish the council would cut the grass a quick find once at GZ, TNLN SL TFTC...but what we thought were birds turned out to be bats.....
nice spot and walk
