Went for a bike ride, quick find!Dipped some trackables in here.Logbook signed 11:18 Monday, 28th October. Cache number 265, TFTC!
This concludes our week of finding a multi and mystery and logging these, in addition to work, and so many other activities. Whilst some of the numbers were super easy to find for me, who knows days in a foreign language that is way closer to planets, some were harder and especially one number remains a mystery. CO helped by pointing out a few mistakes. Good learning here, thanks for placing, creating the puzzle and maintaining the container!
This was of many puzzles that have been in my solved but unfound pile. A weeklong stay in Christchurch provided me with an opportunity to reduce this pile by a few. This was my final find on a very warm afternoon.I guess I am guilty of not really questioning how things that are a common part of our lives came to be the way they are. I had no idea of the origins of the theme of this cache and I thank the cache owner for explaining it so well. It's so much more complicated, but interesting, than I would have ever expected it to be. It's a favourite point from me.
I must have solved this a while ago so it is good to finally come to pick up the final, A quick find in the suburbs.
I solved this puzzle quite a while ago.
This is the last of the "calendar" series mystery caches I have to pick up.
I enjoyed this series a lot and strangely this was the most difficult one for me to solve (despite appearing to have the most straight forward questions) as it requires the right source for a couple of answers.
I was heading through the area after picking up another cache this afternoon and thought I should finally stop by and grab it.
It's another option to use for the April monthly spelling challenge cache
GZ has a couple of very yappy dogs behind it, luckily the hint and coordinates were good so I was able to make a quick find and retreat to a nearby seat to sign and log.
Container and log are dry and in good condition.
Thanks for creating a fun puzzle series and maintaining the caches

Team G0LD: Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ are down from Whangarei for a few days. We've all solved the 4 big geoarts so they are the main target for the trip.
Of course there were many other puzzles solved as well. It's a pity we don't have a week of geocaching down here as the solved puzzle list is definitely too long for the few days we have here.
Calendars, days and time are certainly interesting with all the different lengths, names, origin and changes that need to be made. I'm pleased my son is 12 hours behind now in Denmark as I can easily figure out if it's a sensible time to ring him or not. To compliacate things further my two kids at school both have different calendar cycles for their school routines and lessons. Anyway a quick find at gz. Thanks for the cache

Team G0LD ( 0B80B8, Lis's crew & DaffyNZ ) on a caching mission to Christchurch. We had travelled down from Whangarei yesterday, so today was our first full day to get into it.
Solved puzzles were going to be the main focus of our trip. We had spent a lot of 2020 and 2021 solving over 400 puzzles, so we had a lot on our list. Thankfully the weather looked like it was going to play ball today, as caching in the rain is always just that bit harder.
This was one of them on our list and Lis made a nice quick find in the logical location. TFTC

A week of it? No, I've commited to a year of it! Filling that 366 grid woth mysteries - that made me go out in this rainy night and feel around some wet fences.
Cache found quickly and kept dry by signing in the shelter of the car.
In Latvian, the weekdays are pretty straightforward (literal translations):
Pirmdiena - "First-day"
Otrdiena - "Secon-day"
Trešdiena - "Thir-day"
Ceturtdiena - "Fourth-day"
Piektdiena - "Fifth-day"
Sestdiena - "Sixth-day"
Svētdiena - keep guessing ...
....
.....
......
"Holy-day"
So nedēļa (the week) obviously begins with pirmdiena.
Kia ora! Paldies!

I solved this and visited the site at the time a family BBQ was happening nearby and although we returned and had another search it was not there and after contact with cache owner it was apparent it had gone AWOL and was replaced and finally it is now signed and i am getting around to actually logging it .
I did enjoy these "DAYS' puzzles as they were not straight easy but actually do- able and very informative . I have given this one a Fav point from me . We took nothing and left nothing .
thank you for this cache and puzzle >

A great puzzle with interesting info we never really thought about till now. Came across to pick this up as over this side visiting friend. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache StreetWalkerNZ.
New cache is in place (with the removal of the big tree, I have switched back to the original hide, and removed the coordinate correction from the cache listing).
Big tree is gone. Cache is probably gone (couldn't check because of a muggle gathering close to GZ). Will see if I can replace tomorrow (might revert to the original hide).
Great find- so interesting learning all about names of days
Thanks for bringing us here
Thanks for bringing us here
As Auckland Mega has been postponed we decided to do a trip south to Christchurch. Four of us from Team BOP joined up to share a car and accomodation. I always love these weekends as the company is great and makes our days and nights out caching lots of fun. We have done lots of puzzles in preparation and did some long windy roads to get them. Found lots of great caches and thanks to all the COs for the effort that goes into these Please excuse the copied logs and I will try to make some individual notes on as many as I can This sort of trip is where I find the cachly app very valuable. TFTC
Maintenance done a while back; adding an "owner maintenance" log to clear the "needs maintenance" attribute.
I was already in the area, so it would have been rude not to! Glad to have this one sorted!!! TFTC!!
Replacement cache in place. Still a 200 ml sistema, but now the log is a piece of waterproof paper in a pill bottle. Have also put the cache under a wooden "hatch" cover, and leaf litter.
Found the cache! Unfortunately water has gotten into the container and baggie and it's soggy and slimy. I could barely write my name in it. Photo attached as evidence I was there!
I had fun solving the puzzle - TFTC!

Once we realized that the old clue was not meant to also apply to the new location (there being another fence corner nearby) we searched in an obvious spot and quickly found the cache buried under very moist leaf litter. Many thanks for the quick replacement!
New cache in place a short distance from the original final. See cache listing for a correction to apply to the original final coords.
We solved this and other Roman calendar caches a while ago, and decided to make an expedition to this part of town today. The helpful clue indicates only one place, and we searched every nook of the corner of the fence carefully. We can only conclude it has been muggled. It is our second DNF on a Roman calendar cache on the same day. Are the Visigoths mounting a deliberate campaign?
I got off to a good start and then the checker said 'No!' Hmmmm let me see where I stuffed up? Ok, I think I have it...checker said no again but it was late so I went to bed. Anyway I knew I was very close with the numbers I had and after dropping the kids off at school this morning I thought I'd go test a theory. I found the cache after spotting something and in doing so I also found the one number where I was out and have now got a Yes on the checker. Thanks StreetWalkerNZ, good fun.
Very satisfying to complete my first puzzle, and its even on my dog walking route! The puzzle challenged me for a half hour or so and I even learned some things. Cache is well hidden and easy to miss, but if you follow the directions you'll get it. Didn't bring a pen with me so I'll have to remember to come back and fill in the log book. Thank you very much for an awesome cache.
Great to find some of the older Christchurch caches in good condition. The series of caches around the calendar are really fun and it is always very satisfying to have he cache in hand. A quick find today, TFTC
Got the numbers all sorted and the cache was a quick find in a deserted spot. TFTC.
Another day to fill in on my calendar completed. Solved this a wee while ago and the find was completed quickly this evening, Tftc!
Thanks for replacing this- we had no trouble this time. I just have to work on the rest of the series!!
Back up and running; please make sure the cache is well covered when it is re-hidden.
Solved this ages ago- and was rather excited at the idea that we could tick it off- but although we had a good look- we couldn't lay hands on it. Hope to come back again
Enjoyed the puzzle and the find, a well tucked away and thought out cache. TFTH a Fav.
Thanks for the fun puzzle and also for bringing us to another place we've never been.
Ah finally. Thanks for replacing the hide. A nice and quick find this time. Cheers.
Not much planned for the weekend. Should have travelled to Hokitika or Kaikoura. Cleaned up a few caches around Christchurch instead.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

No luck today.
A fairly bare fence corner at GZ, no sign of a cache though. Cheers
Next time.......

Managed a quick solve before coming down to Christchurch for the Wine Festival. Nice puzzle and QEF on the cache. Thanks StreetWalkerNZ.
Solved a long time ago and was passing today so stopped for a quick find. Tftc, an interesting puzzle.
I was visiting my parents who live in the North side of town. So I worked out a route that encompassed unfound geocaches. The hint was fantastic The container was nice and water tight.
Spent some time tonight on the puzzle then after rechecking one answer got the green tick so headed off in the dark to collect. Piece of cake! Tftc
Snuck down after work playing the part of the dodgy guy in a black coat in the alley. Found exactly where expected and after opening the matryoshka cache the log was in pristine condition for signing. A great cache. Thanks
Have had this cache solved for quite some time. The puzzle and info as with the other caches in the series was interesting and I will certainly remember at least some of it for years to come. Most of the info was easily found although I do remember finding two different answers for one of the days. I just made a third search and confirmed which was right...never trust everything you read on the net. Went out tonight in the dark to find the area deserted. Soon zeroed in on GZ where Chelzea spotted the cunning wee hiding place. I guess eventually we will find the rest of the series.
Having a great time biking round and finding these little treasures. Puzzles are great, and series is a lot of fun tftc! : )
I solved this ages ago but only just got around to finding it. I needed a puzzle for today so off I went to look for it. An easy find.

Decided to go find a cache out this way today - but a puzzle. This was actually my back up though, but I had a DNF at the first one!! Grr... Ah well, so made it towards this one.
All quiet here, but saw some chopped up trees and all, and got a bit worried for the caches safety!
Ah, but not to fear, as I then soon found it all good and all safe and sound. Yay!
Off to bed then after - looong day, and tiring stuff!

Solved the puzzle some time ago, so today was the perfect day for finding the actual cache. Very easy find, and I have enjoyed solving the puzzle - deserves a favourite from me!
Gained a little knowledge in solving this one and was in the city tonight to be able to complete the paperwork. Nicely hidden cache, gets a favourite from us. TFTC, #5094
This was on my list long time. Found on beautiful Tue morning. Nice place, nice puzzle, I learn something new;) thanks.
Puzzle wasn't too bad to solve, and the cache was a quick find on a wet Christchurch afternoon. Thanks for the cache.
Enjoyed solving this puzzle a few days ago, and then located the cache on my way home after work. Nicely camoflaged. TFTC
This has been a VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY long week.... probably closer to six months since I started looking at it and required PAF hint to complete. Still very nice hide - just not big enough for the TB's I have to drop off. Day 281 of my cache a day streak.
Got caught up on one day of the week for a day, then after a quick note to the CO soon realised what day it was...... Don't you hate it when you wake up wondering what day it is.... LOL once that was sorted a quick trip from home and log signed. TFTC.
After failing miserably to get my numbers to crunch I messaged the CO who told me which answers needed more work. Very helpful to make me get it right the right way. Rather than just give me the numbers. Tftc. My 300th!
Quick easy find for a very clever hide. Really enjoying these puzzles and learning a great deal. Goes well with reading Conn Iggulden's Emporer Series about the life of Ceasar. Thanks for the effort put into this puzzle.
Spent a long time on this, kept slipping up on each question but finally got the right combination of correct answers. TFTC (734)
The closest to where we were staying made this a good one to do as part of an after breakfast walk. Mrs SoBad enjoyed doing the series and we hope to pick up the others while staying in Christchurch although we have non caching things to do as well. No cutty grass!! Thanks.
Took me a while to sort the clues but when I had a look at it again last week the penny dropped. TFTC
In town for work but with some spare time. A challenge I noticed recently gave me the added incentive to go for a few multis and puzzles, which I sometimes don't make the time for when I'm just visiting. Looks like I did this calendar puzzle series in reverse, a bit like a time travelling Doctor... Anyway, all good here. The cache was a little exposed so I put it back where it looked like it belonged. TFTC, Biggles.
Down in the Ole Shaky Town to get a few solved puzzles signed off.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Easy find, clever spot.Really enjoying series, thanks for all the effort. Off to find more of the series.
TFTC. A throughly interesting and informative puzzle followed up by an excellent hide. Now on to the next in the series.
Really enjoyed this series, done on the snowy nights. Learnt heaps. The cache was well hidden. Great to have geochecker. Thanks.
#400 since we started caching middle of last year. Thanks for the cache & puzzle LGM
Having solved this puzzle ealier today, and in the area this evening (seeing a perfomance of Hamlet) I decided to attempt this on the way home. Easily found in the dark. TFTC. (An informative puzzle).
An enligthening, straightforward & fun puzzle to solve. Heading home in the late afternoons rain from family adventures. A quick find but the camoflage is seriously lacking....did the best I could recovering but it might need looking at.....thanks for effort in creating the puzzle and making the hide. Cheers.
Puzzle not too hard to solve. Easy find. The "cover that hides the tube" may be in the wrong orientation as it was not snug and did not need the "couple of small things sticking out". #24
Mr and Mrs C found this, without the boys, after lunch today. Have been trying to do the close to home "hard" caches. This was currently 6th closest. Had a bit of trouble cracking it but the find was simple [8]. TNLN, TFTC.
It's been a fair few weeks I'm affraid. My first attempt didn't get the geochecker tick, and my time for procrastination was well over, so I had to leave it for another day. My second attempt turned up new information that made geochecker happy An easy find not to far away. Great series! TFTC
What a great bit of history and puzzle creation. Loved reading through the listing, though another team member did the good deed and deduced the coords. Thanks StreetWalkerNZ for another good cache.
A clever puzzle and a clever hide. One of the many benefits of caching in a team, apart from their good friendship, is that someone is bound to be able to solve a puzzle that I can't. And so it was. Then someone found it for me too - all I had to do was write the log (and I may have navigated here). Anyway, like the hide thanks especially after a recent DNF. TFTC!
Thankfully solved by another member of the posse before landing in NZ. Turned out to be a quick score by McPhan with the corrected coords.
Thanks StreetWalkerNZ for the puzzle and cache.

Thanks for the cache and the smiley

3114. [font=Comic Sans Ms][green]We ended up solving most of these time puzzles but as to how many we eventually found is any body's guess. We did find this one which was a bonus as the research was, at times, frustrating due to the permutations available.

This was the last cache we found on our Christchurch trip, and the second of the series we collected (had hoped to pick up the third, 'Beware the Ides..', on the way to the airport, but ran out of time - how ironic!) We have enjoyed this series on the calendar. Thanks for the interesting puzzles. We're sure it's just a matter of time before we return to find some more.

A bit of an educational discussion with Mr Google a while ago then finally out today for the hunt. A very quick find which was brilliant, no one about at 8am. TNLN Thanks.
Oh! it's nothing to do with the TV programme of the same name. Puzzle not quite so simple but the find was, Quite a bit learnt doing the research for this one.

On my return home after a long time away this cache was one of several new puzzle caches that popped up closest to home. When I googled for info an undesirable got in my computer before I had got all the clues so it has been waiting a while to be finished. When I checked the answer boy was I surprised to find my first attempt was correct. An easy find close to home. Thanks

Found this one with nzblanchard. Very fun to work out the co-ords. Had a bit of a challenge replacing cache correctly! TFTC
Puzzle and cache dealt to by JustJo, I pretty much just tagged along for the journey. TFTC.
