Once at GZ we used our geocaching senses to locate this one. Found by our youngest. TFTC.
The EtherClan invaded [@TwigNZ](http://coord.info/PRPHK6E)'s castle for the weekend with the aim of heading south to chase a World Turtle.
The first priority was pure numbers to count towards the souvenirs of the current promotion, and the second was a lonely (puzzle) cache that hadn't been found in 1000+ days.
With the puzzle solved, we set off on Saturday morning with Priority 2 set as the start of Priority 1.
We're caching our way back north now, but we had an offshoot for some caches near the beach at Pukerua Bay which caused the wheels fell off our P1 mission when EtherMaster6 asked if he could play for a bit.
It turned into a lot longer than a bit and it looks like the World Turtle souvenir is swimming out to sea without us, but the memories that the boys made skimming stones into the waves and searching for Mermaid's Purses are more important
Thanks for getting me nearer to my next souvenir (although I'm still a long way short from the Turtle...)

Had a good look around and no obvious places. Mrs Tyke had found the spot and discarded it. Mr Tyke looked there and got it TFTC
Quick detour on my way home this afternoon. Have driven past this reserve many times, but have never noticed the discrepancy in the name before.
Great hide, and was glad I could drive right up to it as it was raining quite hard.

First time I came here I hunted for a good 20 mins and couldn't find it. Had master 11 with me today and he found it in 2 mins. Tftc
Just passing and had time to grab a cache. Found quick n easy as good hint and coords.
Cache in good order. TNLNSL, TFTC.

The reserve may be confused with its name but other than that it seems a good spot to be away from the traffic to have a quick cuppa and walk around to break a long journey. TFTC
Caching with RosalieNZ completing the 100, 10, 7 Challenge. Cache log signed as ‘RE’.

Signed as RE as I'm caching with Ethnz this weekend.
The cache description made me laugh. I didn't think the reserve was quite a bad as it was described but it certainly won't make it onto any lists of top parks and reserves. The cache was nicely hidden but it didn't take too long to find it.

We call in here sometimes when passing by and feed the chickens They were here again today so gave them something to eat then went looking for the cache. After a quick search deonrocks, zayn2016 and I found it, signed the log and put it safely back into place. By then the chickens had run off into the Bush with their food. TFTC
Found this one! The "Cover" had fallen off so we put it back in place and went on our way TFTC
Love the description of the reserve! Agreed, it is almost a pointless reserve, but at least it gives dog owners access to the river. A good hiding place. TFTC
Thanks for the cache. This is our find number 665 and we found it at 10:54:11 AM NZDT on 24 February 2017 on our way to Auckland to see Bruce Springsteen. This is indeed a rather boring reserve but hey, it's here and you can always stop for a rest here.
After i found the nearby blackberry-cache i came back here to do this also, before i would resume my journey to Wellington. The cache was found lying on the ground a bit away from the GZ, the log is wet and almost full, so the cache needs maintenance.
After putting it at a logical place i continued my drive to Wellington.
Thank you for placing this cache and keeping it in a good condition from a german visitor
***No muggles were harmed while searching, finding and logging this cache...***

Cache was lying on the ground when i found it, then log is wet and almost full, a maintenance should be performed soon. Placed it to the spot where it made the most sense.
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you for bring us here its always nice to get another tmann421 crossed off the list especially now tat I can put a face to the name was nice catching up at the winter warmers 11 with you and your family.TFTC
Gps had us bouncing all over reserve. 16 mins searching in rain and bingo. Bit wary if a grey parked up car by railway libes. Then a man came over the tracks with a rifle that he put inbthe boot and then lefy. Gave us the heeby geebies as no one down here because of the weather.
We were looking for somewhere to park up in our motor home and found this place.Has to be a cache here I thought and sure enough there is.SL TFTC.
Nice one. Took a while but we were keen . Little family of bantams were watching us. Tftc
Took a bit of hunting, then we spotted it. Loved the little chickens nearby, tftc
We thought of staying over for the night at this spot. It all seemed so beautiful. Little river and place was all nice. Untill.... The train passed.
We just had dinner and decided immediately to move on as that will be a restless night.
First we went for the cache. I tried before, but needed the caching eye of hubby to find it.

Pulled in here for a sleep, and thought, I bet there's a cache here... Quick find. Thanks

We picked this "least exciting reserve" to have our breakfast on our way north from Wellington today. Quick find.TNLN SL TFTC!
This spot was the stop for the quick picnic during the journey to south.
And there is a cache ! ! I started to search with a sandwich in one hand with no success. . .
After the lunch, being more concentrated on possible hides and with the hint, I had another look and found quickly.

During the trip to New Zealand, I could see and visit many places, lot of them are very nice and sometime amazing. And there is always a geocache nearby! I could find some caches every day. New Zealand is a nice country for vacation and for geocaching !

We pulled up to this reserve for lunch and geocaching app died. Still it had to be here somewhere and turned out to be one of my quickest finds.
Found a chicken....
Then after zeroing in on gz, the cache shortly after.
Place was empty so no issues with people.
Cache, log,Co ords all seem good
Cheers

A quick find (actually by team geocacher Mr. T!). What a sneaky hide. Lots of chickens around today. Tftc.
Lots of places to search lucky we happened to look in the right place quite quickly. Have discussed the reasons to visit this little reserve. TFTC
I was travelling from Wellington to Whanganui and had targetted a few drivebys to grab on route.
I had been here before a few years ago, but failed then due to muggles, this time no muggles and plenty of time, not many options for where it could hide so was more of a grid search more than anything.

One of a few found nearby - I had never been to this reserve and wouldn't mind never returning as it does have a very neglected feel to the area. TFTC tmann421 SL and replaced as found.
Heading off for a six day sortie though the lower North Island with the primary reason being to pick up the CANZ caches we need to complete the North Island half of the challenge.
On our way north to Wanganui after a couple of days in Wellington. Confused indeed. First by how do we get there, then by finding the cache itself. In both cases persistence prevailed and once more Mr S made the find. Neat little hide and the only one after we had checked everything else that was probable.
Thanks tmann421. Another smilie on the road north. #29 for the day.

Found with Jesso22 while on a day off work out caching. Searched and obvious but wrong spot to start with before looking a little further out. Pretty easy find once getting rid of the tunnel vision. Thanks for the cache
AtomsNZ and I decided to take Monday off for a girl's day out and go caching. Made our way South from Palmerston North picking whichever caches took our fancy along the way. Ended up getting 40 in total, that's a new personal best for me. Found some really good caches today, a fair few nice big containers, couple of multis and a few good walks, great girl's day!
Loved the description for this cache, it was very honest. Took a bit of looking for this one, initially thought it was in a place where we had no idea ow we were going to get it out, turns out it was somewhere else, AtomsNZ spotted the hide. Thanks for the cache

Working in Levin and having to expand my radius of caching as I have cleaned up all the local caches in Levin township, took a drive out to Ohau area and was rewarded with some great caches and a nice evening drive.
Found GZ and started my search. Eventually found the little blighter and was able to sign the log.

thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today in Levin, on our way to Otaki and in Paraparaumu. We enjoyed our journey!
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.
Headed off into the awesome January weather for an afternoon caching down to just south of Levin before heading home. Our chosen route was a figure eight south down State Highway 1, across from Foxton to Shannon, down to Ohau, then back up through Levin, Foxton, Awahuri then back to home. managed 37 which is a pretty good number and boosts my January stats by a fair chunk.
Parked in the shade of the large trees which was very pleasant.
SpudNZ guessed the spot and I retrieved it.

Three of us had planned a day out geocaching in the Horowhenua area today. Alas, one of the party members had a late withdrawal, so there was just two of us. It was a great day in the end. The weather was hot, we even had a few spots of rain trying to cool us down at one stage. I ended up finding about 45 caches with one DNF.
A quiet little reserve that I have passed often and didn't know was here. A quick find today. Replaced cache as we found it.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley. Found with Tommygun9.

Was here and enjoyed the "nothing", but the cache was really good hidden. Tftc
after a short nap in the shade I went on towards south. I'm cycling around NZ and heading for Wellington for tomorrow.

TFTC, a couple was sitting nearby having a snack so took a bit longer to retrieve as we had to work on not looking suspicious!
It's been a month since my last caches found on the North Island so good to be back home for Christmas and doing what I love best; travelling to be with family whilst finding concealed items of 'treasure'
Heading North up S H 1 picking off a few pre-selected caches that caught my eye as quick an easy finds, mostly traditionals and none too difficult or time consuming (at least I hoped so!)
This was a cache that fitted the bill nicely and was indeed a quick and easy find. I spotted an out of place item which was hiding the cache hide place so was a quick and easy find
T F T C tmann421 and a merry Christmas to you

No really a DNF, as I didn't even bother to get out to try and search. Often pass this spot, but going north is inconvenient to turn across the highway, and going south we're often tired and just wanting to get home. Decided to give it a crack today and picked up the two caches further north before arriving here and find a car parked right on top of GZ. Looked to be someone inside - I wonder if it was Margydo who has logged a find for today?!?
Mmmmmm, lovely reserve. The broken glass really does add a little je ne sais quois. Thanx
Quick find during our road trip from Wellington to Dargaville, a nice little area for the little bear to stretch his legs climbing on the rocks, TFTC.
#1023 Out on a mish to Kimbolton with Nic-Jay and collecting some caches on the way there and back. This one was very well hidden- sneaky hide. Very dull reserve- unfortunate as it has the potential to be really pretty down here. TFTC!
Out on a road trip collecting caches on the way to and from an event in Kimbolton with Skaga. This is a very confused reserve! Not a lot here to entice one to come back apart from the river. Nicely hidden but we soon tracked it down. TFTC
What a dreary place for a geocache (or a reserve, for that matter). Fortunately the clever hide made up for it. There were also a couple of rather lovely chooks scratching around and one of the junior Orsome4somes really likes chooks so he was kept busy trying to befriend them. TFTC
Nice hide, and lovely accurate description of the amenities hahahaha. TFTC.
There is a 'feature' missing from the list - the noisy traffic from SH1. Almost DNF'd this one as it had me beat for a bit. You really need a sharp eye to spot the hide. I was super glad for the find.
TFTC
TFTC
Description accurate. Interesting cache though. Saw that something didn't look quite right and enjoyed it. TFTC
A very drab place by the river. Just about to hop out of the car when the heavens opened up. Waited for a few minutes for the rain to stop then quickly find the goodies. TFTC
Thanks tmann421 for replacing cache, found it and I left a GC in your hide with cache. TFTC +GC
Sorry for delays - will be replacing this cache soon, I have not forgotten about it!
Have just gone through the log and removed yet another faked log from TreMichLan.
On the road to Palmerston North. A quick find in a dismal spot. Thanks for the hide
Stopped here for morning tea and wondered if there was a cache and sure enough so was a quick find & onto the next. TFTC
Hmmm. Stopped here to eat our lunch but I think the side of the road would be more scenic. Oh well, another smiley but certainly not my most satisfying. TFTC.
Day 2 of our Mega roadtrip to Auckland. A nicely hidden wee cache. Although there is only one logical structure to look on so it was a fast find. Thanks for the cache.

My mega NZ MEGA 2013 Trip!! Split into two halves - first, the journey up, and then the second half was the actual MEGA time.
This was the first half. I ended up deciding that the best way to travel up for the MEGA was by doing a rental relocation. Jucy had FAR too many cars in Chch that needed going to Auckland, and so with the pick of the crop I went for the 4WD... naturally, being a cacher, I knew this would come in handy!
They paid the vehicle on the ferry, paid the insurance, and gave me a free tank of gas as well as 5 days to get up to Auckland! What more could you want?!!
This was my 154th cache of the trip.
Sorry about the mostly copied logs - but otherwise I would still be logging till Christmas - and that's Christmas 2014 I mean! Haha.
Found this just as a muggle arrived with his dog!
TFTC!!

Lovely visit down here. I banged into Daphne & the Gardenview residents on a busride out on such a lovely day. Otherwise there was just a motorhome here stopping for lunch. Nice easy find very similar to the "anzac settlers" cache in Levin. TFTC
