Indeed, a great picnic spot. Came there just after sun-set, so absolutely muggle-free.
Found Arthur's resting place all right and carefully searched the one-and-only very obvious hiding spot.
This cache has not been found for over 1 year now (disregarding the two faked "found it" claims), so I think it needs to be maintained or archived.
Such a nice location deserves to be "reloaded" with another cache!
happy caching, anyway!

Came here with Relish64 and the sister in law and just confirmed the previous DNFs.
The cache was definitely not at GZ, even used a torch to make sure, and there was nowhere else for metres around where a plastic container could hide. A widened search also showed nothing. Not sure how 2 people have found it among so many DNFs, maybe it's been moved a long distance from GZ.
Great hide found on a cache finding spree while staying in the singleton area early last week

Didn't expect to find this after recent DNFs. Looked in all the obvious spots and came up with nothing. A beautiful spot, though, so glad we gave this one try.
Couldn't find this one. Pretty sure I know where it should be but its not there. I'm a little sceptical of Noodles12358's find on the 10/1/12 considering there have been a number of DNF's over the last few months.
Beautiful location but despite hunting high and low we just couldn't find this one. Possibly been muggled.
Searched everywhere with no luck
Definately think this may have been muggled.

GZ was spot on. There was only "one rabbit hole" but nothing there
Suggested its been muggled.
Can the CO please check

Chook95 and Smile_z took off with the garmin Asus and decided that this was #2 for the day and couldn't find a thing so i helped have a scout around and we found part of the stash note down by the waterand a paint brush by the tree.
We can only asume that it has been muggled and is in need of some maintenance.

We searched and searched but....could not find the cache. We found a spot that fit the coords and a rabbit like hole, but no surprise! I think it has been muggled!
Beautiful area with nice views over the water. Easy find

What a great spot. I can see why this spot was chosen as the last resting place. I could not fault it.

Reperio at 1520. When we arrived, there were a group of muggles sitting and enjoying the serenity here. We walked up to GZ and knew where the cache was, but it was right in line of where there were looking. Lucky for us they decided to move on, and we grabbed the cache, all the while, sitting and enjoying the nice view across the water.

This was a really beautiful spot. We did a lap around the water at Walka and this was a spot that I think I'd like to come back to with a book and some lunch.

A quick and easy find on a quiet Monday afternoon. Didn't look at the hint till just now, so no, it's not needed. However, it really is one of the best spots around. A great way to stretch your legs after a picnic lunch. Brings to mind the great visits I've had here in the past with family, friends, support groups and study buddies....and snakes, birds, kangaroos...all good! Thanks Nomadtales.
Even though the heat was getting to us mr stevens and Dames went after it and Dames ended up finding it... Second one He Found...I think Mr Stevens is too slow...Great spot...TFTC...Go Team_Stevens
Ruffasgutts4x4 and I had a blast caching around the area. Thanks for all the caches. SL (No stickers for me

Aussie cacher and I arrived at GZ, to look over the lake with a thin low mist over the water, sounded like the mini trains were running on the other side too but it turned out to be a bloke mowing instead...
Nice spot to come and stay for a while except it was starting to heat up. Cache duties done and onto the next Thanks for the cache

This is our 4494th overall find.
Found at about 12:13 PM. After finding the other two caches in the park we wandered around to this one - it is a great little spot. Found the cache quickly. There was heaps of turtles in the water that you could see while wandering around.
We made our way back to the car - passing the train again only to find a note on our windscreen saying hello cachers from Purse and Gillette. Were they they people at the top of the hill earlier today?????
Thanks to Nomadtales for the cache.

Found this one at 12.30pm - a perfect time to sit and eat our snacks and observe the water and wild life here today. Found with geopa's sister, Beatrice (a non- cacher) Took: cash Left: frog, aboriginal flag sticker, red cow and orange pig. TFTC Nomad Tales - a very pleasant spot to be on a hot day. We were most impressed with the water works building.
What a beautiful spot. I love the memorial chairs under the mythical looking tree. The resident magpie came to investigate what we were doing. TFTC
Went on a nice stroll around to this one and grabbed snake gully junction on the way. Quick find...SL TFTC
Accidently found cache some months ago. This started us on geocashing. We are having fun. Family involved. Find this cache. It's a beautiful place.
What a beautiful location. Easy find for our first.... This one has been muggled regularly, however no damage sustained.

We grabbed this one after Steelrats True lies. The area was deserted which surprised us as the weather was great. Geowife grabbed this one without a hitch. TFTC Nomadtales. [649]
Well we went for this one today believing in our GPS....
We came from the Housing estate and through cow fields and mud paddocks. The RAV4 was slipping and Sliding and after the biggest set of puddles and mud we decided to turn around and try and get out. It got too muddy with the recent rains and having both kids in the car and the phone slowly going out of range we decided to take the safe bet.
Next time we will go the right way and get the cache the safe way. Mind you we had a wow of a time in the RAV4...
Cheers for the Cache

Dad and me and my sister had a picnic here today. We had a long walk to get here. and we had Strawberry milk at the table.
Dad told me that there was a treasure box around here somewhere. I thought that that was a spot where something would be hidden.
Dad encouraged me to keep looking and I Found It!
I had a shoe to put in but it wouldn't fit. so i didn't.
I wrote my name by myself. I am 4.
when we came home Daddy made me my own geocaching account and wrote this for me.
I may as well have my own caching account. I go treasure hunting with him all the time.

One of my favourite spots in the world... i didn't even know there was a cache here till today...
Had a lovely afternoon walk and found it quite easily. Enjoyed the company of team Fohmsbee. TFTC!
I set out to find this with two friends, we found it without any hassles. I was kind of dissapointed that it was over so quick but I was happy to be at the waterworks.TFTC
Found this after doing a Newcastle Cross Country Run. A very nice part of Walka Water Works. TFTC.
It wasn't the perfect day for a picnic today, which made it perfectfor caching as the muggles stayed away. I took a plesant stroll all the way around the lake and grabbed the ache on the way past
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found at 10.25am GAFF1. It was a perfect morning with clear skies and a light breeze, not sure we approached this cache the right way but we only had a short walk to this idylic spot. We really enjoyed the walk and the scenery.
Thanks Nomadtales

Great area and a nice walk around the park to the cache area. Caching from the states with introducing the fun sport of geocaching to newbies.
Completed this one after True Lies, a beautiful spot this one, well worth the walk around to it. TFTC.
Walked around to here after True Lies... made us all laugh when a train came along the railway (we didn't realise the BIG rail line was so close to the little one)
I came to Rutherford for the new Officeworks store opening and decided to do a cache before the long drive back to Sydney. It was a top day for a walk, with no one else lapping the lake. The train line looked like fun, not sure if this still runs?
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache!
best wishes,
Wal

Really nice spot, and a nice walk along the lake. The only miss was that I would have loved to see the miniature train coming.
Took nothing, left nothing.

Selected this one for my 350th find as it is very close to my first find about 7 years ago. Can't be much more than a couple of hundred metres. Did the full lap of the lake. A very suprising location for the hide. TNLNSL
found it quite by accident.
was looking for another geocache in the area and got lost.
had many a nice evening picnic here with my wife of 10 years,
My favourite spot in our area.

Walked to this one from the Walka Water Works side. I suspect that I could have parked closer but glad that I didn't. Very enjoyable. I recommend this one for those like stroll. Saw some BIG roos too.

TFTC,
Out on a day of caching with Cachefinders2 from Sydney. Tomtom took us the wrong way up diamond close and we found we were still 350mtrs away, then on the same side of the track we found a small track that went over the track, stopping at a gate we then took a lovely stroll through a beautiful park, to a really nice spot.
Picked up the route 66 travel bug and dropped a german coin which i thought was rather apt, for the cache.

a great location it would be to watch the small train doing laps around here, a mighty long track for a small size engine I'm sure.
Perfect location and a convenient bench for logging the find...found with Tankengine, Tealby and Sol on our Invasion weekend from Canberra

What a fantastic spot - ideal for a cache & great to have a seat to do our logging business. Took some happy snaps while enjoying the view - thanks.
Found as part of the Canberra Invasion to Newcastle/Nelsons Bay/Port Stephens and surrounding areas with Tealby, Tankengine and Mtrax. This one was day one and with our over night accommodation at Raymond Terrace, we hit Maitland on the way through.
Another wonderful area to stop by. Not a soul in sight, but I guess the weekend would be a different story. TFTC

What an absolutely fabulous place - we will certainly be coming back here to this spot for a picnic. It was such beautiful weather [29 degrees on a Winter's day!?!] and was such a pleasure to just sit under the shade of the tree and watch the bird life. There was a swam nesting just in front of us and so many ducks swimming around and a beautiful breeze blowing over the water. Thank you so much for bringing us to this spot. [The only 'negative' was hearing that others had seen a snake on the path ahead of us when we were walking back to the car!] TNLNSL TFTC
Went back for this one as it had been muggled... Thanks for replacing it. Wonderful spot and we continued the walk all the way around the water and our pet Musk Lorikeet came with us. Did grad the TB (great rattler), signed the log and return it back to its hide for the next cacher.
I have replaced the missing cache with a slightly larger one and made sure that magpies wont be able to play around with it! The slightly larger size has meant that I can now fit a TB in, and so I have aptly left one that wants to be near the water. Fish away little friend.
You my need to check this one out. I looks like the ground maintenance people have been around and cleaned up and that includes the cache. Wonderful spot and the weather was fantastic. Let me know when you have been back because I would like to go back for this one.
I came across the cahe - and hence the game - when a baby magpie I was photographing began playing with it. Looks like fun.
What a great walk this was at dusk, really enjoyed it! Lots of ducks, pukekos, and frogs to be heard. A lovely spot. Cheers Gav [4032]
What more can you say than perfect picnic. This is a great place and a must do cache for visitors to the area. There is history, train rides, bush walks and picnic grounds. I had not walked the loop before until you made me . This is a great spot. Thanks Nomadtales.

Another great spot in this area for an afternoon walk, a well thought out and interesting cache, in good condition, walked right around the dam and enjoyed every minute! [^]
Found after doing True lies. Went the wrong way at first and had to back track to get it. Lovely spot on a clear moonless night. Thanks Nomadtales.
