While out for a training run to check on the storm damage, I discovered this cache had suffered the full wrath as well. Temporarily put back together and placed above track, but maybe needs to be removed until track repairs are completed.
Very quick find on way up to the trig. Took TB. Really surprised that no one had found this since 4 August 2013?? With the biker/runner/walker muggles streaming past when I was there, I thought this would be a regular find. Thanks
Stinkin' hot night so good for a bit of a ride and a cache . Had a fine ol time with Hazzfnz and J trying to emulate the awesome Super D riders of last weekend, but to no avail. I even fell off on Drain, silly me, so came home with a cache find and a couple of grazes.
Nice, quick find on a sweltering afternoon's ride; quite a bold hiding spot! TFTC
This is another one I've passed at speed and never bothered to stop. Today was the day, TFTC.
In the area looking for a new cache that was published today so thought I grab this one too. Almost muggles out by some bikers but struck some good stretching poses with the log and they smiled and peddled by. Nice start to the track, TFTC
Found our first Geocache. Thanks for making it not too difficult. Can't believe we have walked past this hundreds of times. Thanks
Hmmm. Which cache shall I chase after today? - - - - This one!!! -- - - Turned out to be an easy early evening amble. - - - Only danger was the mountain-bikers pumping their way up the hill to get their daily fix. Contemplated the old codgers on the return trip. It must have been so difficult building railway lines and mines back in the 19th century. How times have changed. - - - - Hey. Thanks for bringing me here.
Being so close we just had to get this smilie. I remembered GZ from before my caching days. TFTC
We were in the area tonight so decided a quick detour to grab this cache. We took the wrong track at first but as we realised that fact there was a convenient connecting track so no back tracking required. Cache all good, no dampness with the double bagging. TFTC.
Plenty of muggles on a sunny Saturday afternoon, hard to not look very suspicious. TFTC
Decided to find a few caches whilst out riding the Codgers trails. Quick find, not too many muggles about today. Took TB. TFTC.
Cache now all dried out and log replaced. My GPS was fluctuating from 12 - 3 metres so I'm adding a bit more detail to the hint. +TB
Thanks for the heads up. I can't get to do the maintenance for a fortnight so will leave as is till then.
Last find of the day at 1945. This one had me searching high and low for about ten minutes. Once I did find it, writing in the log was quite difficult as the inside of the cache was quite saturated. Might need a bit of drying out.
Thanks for the cache, isis58

We have been to the I-site to find out that almost nowhere you can take your dogs for a good walk, Except to this area...so off we go.
When we are walking around and looking into the area..we hear a shout from the houses at the bottom of the river....."are you looking for your GPS thingie" .....Yes we are........."Oh you need to go to the left and then up".......thanks for your help......."don't tell that you have got a hint he"......No no, just thanks...it brought us up to the walkways for a couple of hours of walking.

A quick find while out and about during a day in Nelson. Signed log, TFTC.

Being one of the Old Codgers I thought this would be a must find. plenty of fit looking muggles aplenty here! TFTC
Plenty of tire tracks but no-one in sight today at GZ - must explore these tracks properly soon !!! thanks for bringing us back here and the cache
Can remember walking along here a while back in our early days of caching and trying to recover the cache under the watchful eye of a close by resident
Today was not the same and after a pleasant walk we soon had the cache TFTC

Found on my way back up the Brook Valley after a wander around the Grampians. Managed to spot the cache nice and quickly, TFTC!
A nice quick find. Passed this way several years ago as a muggle mountain-biking. T4tC
A quick find, then to our surprise an old friend went running past. Had a chin wag & caught up on the last 4 years.

A bit rainy today. Quite embarrassing, stopping 2 minutes into the track - you know, like, with other bikers going past. Oh, the shame...
3220. There were lots of mountain bikers using the track today. It was a nice easy climb along the track to the cache.
Thanks

Didn't know this track was here and will definitely come back to investigate it further when we have more time. Definitely no TB in the cache. Contents of cache snug and dry though. TNLN. TFTC.
Another nice little walk up a track. Saw the giveaway telltale of a cache from metres away and found it straight away. Cheers Gav [4375]
A lovely walk, just 340m each walk on rail trail slope. Very enjoyable.
No sign of listed TB in cache, and unfortunately it was just a little too small for the kiwi TB I wanted to leave.
I really enjoy historic trail caches, so many thanks.

The last of a quartet of pre breakfast finds up Brook Street. The Weather wasn’t too bad at this time of the morning, but the track was a tad on the slippery side from yesterdays rain. TNLN SL TFTC
some of us O.C.'s appreciate this track as easy on the bones. it is a goody. thanks for the cache.
a quick find. thankfully . filled out log. replaced cache then half a dozen mountain bikers. time to go. tftc
Found on the way back from a MTB ride. Some fellow bikers stopped to check on me as i was signing log, thinking I had a mechanical. Easy find, co-ords bang on, dropped off/squeezed in travel bug.
Well done and thanks. Navfam.

We didn't know this track was here but Mr KE will use it on his bike next time up this way - it will be good to avoid the steeper option further up the road. An enjoyable family walk on a sunny afternoon. Thanks.
Oh and we moved the tb further up the Valley as it was a very tight fit in here. Unfortunately we forgot to write down it's number though so could whoever grabs it next fix that for us.
With Mrs B out of action, the fellaBs waited for the day to warm up a bit before venturing into the sunny windless morning. Lovely little walk for us, meeting a nice dog on the way up, and a nice horse on the way down! The horse's caregiver insisted she show us how nice he was by bear-hugging the horse's bum for us! We ooohed and aaahed at this to make her happy, but luckily weren't invited to have a bum hug of our own. We were treated to all sorts of other details of her relationship with the horse, she went on a bit, so as soon as she breathed in we quickly said our goodbyes only to be put on the spot "Did you hear her whinney on the way up?" YES! I lied, getting concerned about our safety The horse enjoyed a grass snack during all of this. So, this Codger managed to pass the (get ready...) dog and pony show (tadaah!!!) and guide his offspring to "safety" . Never know what will happen when you geocache! (GZ about 7m out today, and the hint we got from no13 on the way up helped keep the search area to one side. It certainly looks like someone's been landscaping by now ) TFTC!
Enjoyed the walk quick easy find It was good to see Mr Beltfamily sons taking their dad out geocaching TFTC
Took some new codgers along for the walk, with the cache quickly found by the young codgers !! TFTC
Nice One!!!!!!! Thanks for the thinking of our generation when placing and naming the cache. We will now live in the pages of geocaching trivia. A fine tribute! No problem with the find as co-ordinates were spot on. Well done! Thanks
I found a lot of caches with my Dad - Biggles - and never logged these online. Now I've got my own account, its time to set things straight. Thanks for all the fun, Flying Phoenix.
Third to find. Mrs Sobad saw this come up at 9.15 - but first Sobad had to watch the golf. Then local knowledge (ha!!) took us to 2 wrong places. We had a non codger walk before the proper stroll in - which even then we did the hard way. Joined topgear and Biggles at GZ for a chat before we went in three different ways. Took Geocoin that Biggles put into cache so not yet logged. Left nothing.

FTF 10.55am. A minor geocachers convention at gz, too, as more cachers arrived- good stuff. Thank you.
Second to find and thrid to log, well you gotta be quick round here for sure! Nice spot and a good little walk with Lil' Stu today. Nice to meet up with Topgear and the SoBad's as GZ approached. +/- TB, TFTC, Biggles.
