This one caused Stairman1 and I some grief . We must have searched 10 minutes before Stairman1 came up trumps. TFTC
Finally I have got to the coast, My trip from Rotorua today has taken me around 5 hours, picking up caches along the way. Quick find
Wedding photos being taken here yesterday...so came back today when a little less busy. TFTC
5.50pm - #10 for the day and last one for the day, at this time of the day no muggles, perhaps because its raining, all I can say thank you very much for the toilet close by to the cache
No one and no cars in carpark when I arrived, But lots around when I had the cache in hand. People had been told there were some whales in the bay.
Wow, the surf is amazing today and a most enjoyable stroll to the cache. Thanks
Bit of road works happening near where you go in, but not a problem. Nice day for a beach walk.

Enjoyed the wee walk to find this one. Two muggle boys were very interested in what we were up to, though, so we stared at the ocean for a while before grabbing the cache, ambling down a bit farther to sign the log, and waiting for them to leave. I didn't mind. I could stare at the ocean for days! TFTC!

Spotted the likely hiding spot from 30m out, and we weren’t wrong. Some nice houses here.

Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 582. Thanks.
We were in New Zealand for a month, to get to know this wonderful country and its nice people, and of course to do some caching. Since we couldn't connect to the internet very often or very long, we didn't log our finds. Being back in Germany, I have to admit that I can't remember all the caches we found. So some of them will just get a "we found it" log entry - this is one of them. But I will at least write a few general words about our caching experience in NZ.
As we searched only for traditionals (and sometimes earth caches) with a reasonable terrain rating, we found most of them quite easily. Especially because a lot of larger containers were used. 'Larger' in this context means small or regular - as we are usually more the urban kind of cacher, we're more used to micros. What we're not so much used to is caches being hidden in or under bushes or trees. Being a little bit what I would call 'botanically challenged' we would find this quite difficult even back here, were we could know the plants. In NZ with its plants we've never heard about, we were really lost in the beginning. But after some time we were able to distinguish between flax and cabbage tree, and we even finally managed to find out what a punga is (seriously).
As always, caching brought us to a lot of interesting and beautiful caches we wouldn't have found otherwise. So many thanks to all you cache-hiding kiwis!

On our way from Awakeri Hot Springs, where we had enjoyed the Hot Pools and spent a peaceful night, to East Cape, we did a little side-trip to Piripai´s beach. We had a nice view to Moutohora Island.
TFTC #592 (my 50th cache with lemonCurd in New Zealand ).
Many greetings from Hamburg, Germany.

Nice walk - in the end! Like W.E.K.A we were surprised by the fence at the end of the path! Hot-footed it over that and cache soon in hand.
We approached this by a different road from that we intended, and walked along a nice concrete path, with a fence at the end! Soon crossed, and on down to the cache which we found quite quickly. TFTC
Simple find for experienced cachers - once near GZ it was obvious, but a good hide that would not be easily disturbed by muggles. A few were going down for a walk on the beach, but none in the way. TFTC
A truly memorable day and a great place for a walk!
It is a special place

A nice quick find at the end of a days work in the BOP Nice to unwind with a beach like this. TFTC
Very nice location. Had to wait for quite a time before taking it because of muggles sitting in the car at the parking and looking in that direction. SL TN Left a Kiwi keyring.

Went to find a few caches today with Morgan but find that Jak had taken the GPS down to Wellington with him and mum. So it was to Google maps to help find the cache and works just fine. This was the 2nd of 5 today, look hard and you might see a whale. Thanks
Missed the other cacher today - nice hide + Keyring - Nil Even on a murky day like today there were some muggles around so needy a but of stealth. TFTC
Whipped out to do this one while on a work trip in the town.
Quickish find as sun was going down.
TNLNSL TFTC.
Took some pics of the view. Nice spot.
