DNF for us, tried all the likely places we could think of. Didn't like to poke around by the old wires too much when we widened the search area.
We walked around in the area but couldn't figure out how to get to GZ will watch and may be able to get back another time.
First attempt at caching and thought this would be an easy one but no joy. V familiar with area so may attempt some other time.
Great spot. Have driven through this area heaps and didn't know about this walkway.
Nice quick find. We have been meaning to do the caches round here for a long time. Today is the day! TFTC
Phew ... at last !!!!
Just hopped off a plane so thought I'd give this a go . Alll good ! Thanks ....

No joy here ... Did a lot of stretching and poking around ... maybe I'm not tall enough ?
Having had a dnf attempt at a ftf at the other end if the bridge thus was the consolation Cache. Had @McArgister with me which was lucky as I spent to much time finding this Cache even with all the clues I was being given. TFTC
Yay after another attempt got our hands on it after following a motorbike! SL. Tftc
despite the GPS wanting to take us into a direction we couldn't possibly go we started to think more like cachers, boom! cache itself looks like it might need replacing soon but log book all good. thanks
Quick walk-by cache, then did a loop walking over the Old Mangere Bridge & back to the car.
Would never have known this loop was here if it wasn't for a Cache ! Thanks

Not really sure what to look for with these metallic ones so probably right in front of our eyes. Never knew the walkway existed though so lovely walk.
Longer walk than expected, beautiful day, lots of people fishing out on the old bridge, bikes and dogs.
lid missing off container but contents still ok. tftc

Great find I love the hiding spot thanks sp8sm8 we found it a long time ago too.
Found this one unofficially about 3 years ago so was keen to go back and log it properly this time.
Found it. GPS said I was still on land but figured it had to be close . Needs a bit of maintainence....
Nice and quick find while out collecting attributes for th GCLS series so that eventually I will get closer to finishing

Yay! An amazing evening for it, great views. Found the cache, had a sit for a while. Put a new log book in, old one was full. Cheers!
Decided to abort on this one due to loitering people on the walkway. Got to be careful when out alone in places like this. I love that walkway, though! Cheers.
Wow, we didn't know this accessway was here! A nice little walkway, thanks for sharing. Day 37/50 towards our geo-license. TFTC!
Had been roller blading along this path years ago - it ended up with me not being able to break and some mega bruises. So this was a much safer journey along the graffiti highway, plus I was glad to be out of the rain.

On my way back from the Airport....needed a little walk, so took a short walk to get this one. Never been here before, or knew you could walk here.
Nice view.
Nice view.
GPSr couldn't get good fix once I'd headed 'in' so just had to guess at the likely location. Once I saw it, I knew I was in the right spot and a few seconds later, cache in hand! Wonder if you could actually fish from there?!? No lid on container, but seems well protected from the elements & everything dry & intact. Manukau Eclipsed!
A lovely day for a walk across the bridge. Quickly found, photos taken and on our way. Tftc
denied access to GZ by a "film crew" who seemed to be doing nothing else but setting up a banquet lunch halve way along while wind and rain road on both sides??? and every one sat there in gumboots and rain coats... there really must be drugs in that industry?
After doing "Harbour View" and "Outlook For Thursday" we decided we still had enough time to do this one.
Being ex Jafa's we well remember all the drama that went on over the building of this bridge and were surprised, although we should not have been, to find the bridge had a walkway/cycleway under it. Also surprising was the lack of traffic noise from above. Must be thick concrete.
GPS's were leading us a merry dance until we decided the likely location. After that it was a quick find.
Not too many muggles, a couple of cyclists - soon gone, and a family walking. What was interesting were the number of people on the old bridge. Almost a tourist attraction.
Thanks sp8sm8 for taking us out there, Mrs S even coped well with the height.

The mother of the team was feeling a tad queasy as one enjoyed to view - took us much longer than it should have - a duh moment. The brother and Uncle whom we dragged along thought we were a bit mad.
Initially took the wrong approach to this cache. Soon realised our error, and managed to find the correct walkway. GPS didn't like being under cover, so occasionally had to put my arm out over the water for it to function. Anyway found the location and cache reasonably easy. Still good even though lid is missing. TFTC and seeing different view over the water.
A quick and straightforward find at an interesting location. The cache has lost it's lid but was secure. However, there is a lot of broken glass near GZ so future visitors be wary.
After thinking I would have to wade/swim in the water I realised there was another way thank goodness-easy find when on the right track.
Great views and good location for cache!!! [8D Left a little birdie for next finder.
Took a wee walk under the bridge on a path I never knew was there. Just as well Pa5key knows Auckland so well
We went under and nearly over until we saw where to go. GPS was being funny and nearly went back before Wasptor said we should look here just in case. TFTC!
Found on our 'caching day in Auckland'. Our last day in NZ, and we thought we'd do a solid day of caching with the geokids. A great day out for us. We enjoyed this cache as the access was a bit of a surprise! TFTCs!
Needed a cache to continue my longest streak, day 16 so far. This one close to home so was a good one to get. A quick easy find. I have driven over the bridge many times, but didn;y know this place existed. TFTC.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We spent a bit of time today picking up some caches between Hillsborough and One Tree Hill. Revisited this one after a graffiti "artist" got in the way of our last attempt at it. A nice quick find this time with no one else around this time. Thanks for the cache!

Awesome having this kind of access across the bridge - all we need now is this kind of access over Auckland Harbour Bridge
pity about the spraypaint handywork though
Thx for the cache and the lovely harbour view!

Quick find, while out for a Sunday morning stroll, in very windy conditions. Certainly shows the harbour in a totally different light. TN:LN:SL. TFTC. #206 for us.
Urban caching can be most enjoyable when surrounded by desolation and industrial development, as it was here.
Second attempt at this one after the first attempt was foiled by a graffiti artist and a film crew hanging out at GZ! Success this time though TFTC
Out caching with Nano girl. Found no muggles here but very cute puppy passing by. TFTC
Nice view of the harbour. My gps was a little out from all the concrete but map was spot on. TFTC. with hsppykiwis
Has a good idea where this was so took no time at all to find. Got to sit and watch the fishing boats come in while the bridge rumbled away

Nice hide. Driven over from time to time, but up to now have never walked here. Great view. TFTC.
Out with Golden Shoes, ClanMcPherson and 8 day old baby ClanMcP.
A new piece of art was being created on GZ which was being filmed by a film crew at the time, film crew had their bags all around the spot where we suspected the cache was and therefore prevented a search. We will be back, photo attached of the art work in progress.

At last a find after an unsuccessful day with too many DNF's. Anyway, I always knew that this location existed but had never been there. This was a good opportunity to explore this part of the city with a (fortunate) quick and easy find. TFTC
Well, if i had relied on my GPS, i would have been in the tide! No problems with getting the elevation sorted and i knew i was in roughly the right place. I guess the steel and concrete wrecks havoc with the GPS signal as it kept telling me i was on the wrong side of the bridge. After a short search between muggles in the wrong place, i then had a thought of inspiration and the cache was in hand soon after. Never realised you could actually get up here before! It would be quite creepy being up here at night! TFTC!
1:35 pm. Wow, what an interesting spot. This is what caching is great for...bringing you to new places that you wouldn't have normally found on your own. Cache is in good shape.
Well this took a bit of finding. Had we followed the GPS we would have needed a kayak. Guess the steel was throwing our GPS off. Eventually put the GPS away and walked where we thought it should be. Quick find, so was very pleased to get a smilie for this cache. Glad we didnt have to "jump" or go swimming between the bridges. Had a nice sunrise so well worth the walk.
What a surprise. Wasn't aware this area existed. Thank you for leading me to this spot and the cache.
Despite having driven over this bridge many times, I had no idea this area existed. Great views, but I wouldn't like to be here at night either! Cache container is showing signs of wear but the log itself is still nice and dry. TFTC
A quick stop on the way from the airport to our Auck. office. GSP didn't even get a chance to find a signal before the log was signed and I was away back to the car. Interesting location and a great view.

Yay, still new to this so still learning to look outside the square.
Thanks
Thanks
Began confident that we were on the correct elevation, however, once we started to get our feet wet we decided we may be in error. Once on the right path it was a relatively easy find. This is a cool wee spot with great views. Included a photo which is a spoiler so be warned.

Parked to the north and ran the few hundred meters to the cache. Cool spot - never knew this path was here.
Out for some caching in the lovely weather this afternoon. I had no idea this was area was accessable. A great view today. I snapped a pic with the cell-phone to share. Thanks for showing me this spot!
