Its now Monday, and we have decied to backtrack, and attempt all the missd ones from this weekend. After staying at Burraga Dam Sunday night, this was the first cab off the rank. And we nearly missed it again. The car GPS did not know where to go, and the human one missed the turn off. So once we got on the trail, which slowly deteriorated the further we went, we ended up pushing through the scrub. glad they were soft. Bout 80 metres from gz, we came to an intersection, and it did not take long to realise where the cache was. Madrabbitoh started at the front, and i started at the side, we crossed somewhere and ended up having done a full circumnavigation, but no cache. checked the hint, and i was sure i had checked all those, but lets do it again. TADA. Found it, and got wet knees to go with it LOL. A great bit of history stuck in the bush, hidden gem. TFTC and a fav from me. I wonder if the burgers are sill good.

Had a good long day of driving around this great area – I really enjoyed Code1 series of TRLT caches then I went onto Team Canary section of TRLT caches which was great but the caches were a little smaller in size – many thanks number 38 found today –
Well info about this cache – a short bush bash drive detour on roads that are in my GPS’s but they are more like trails between paddocks – cache is high & dry - TFTC / TFTH / SL

We couldn’t resist diverting off TRLT trail to come and search for this cache, which was located soon enough having made our way up towards Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache (we assume dialling 13 was the equivalent of calling up the AA?) and greetings from Zimbabwe

fitzy_1965 and I took my geo-kids camping for the long weekend, with a little bit of caching along the way.

After setting up camp at Bummaroo Ford on the Abercrombie River, we headed out to collect some of the new section of TRLT.

All caches were found quickly unless otherwise stated. Logs signed as MK, F65 & BDIM (for the geo-kids b0tmun, death killer, I love the rabbitohs & my_name_jeff_1)

A detour off the trail to find this one. Fitzy made a quick find (and may have forgotten to log the kids!!)

16,632. Found during a caching run with minniek and her geokids.

With so many new TRLT caches up this way we combined a camping trip with the kids with a few caches along the way. After setting up camp we headed out for about a 6 hour drive through the forests. This was the next cache after finishing the block of TRLT we had targeted. Enjoyed the walk in to this one, and after a very careful search the cache was located. Great to see an older cache still with its original logbook from 2009. Only 47 finders before us. Signed the log (MK and F65), replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.

Thanks Scenic Routers !! We had a great run today. Fav point !

On a 2 day caching adventure with GeodudeAU to clear some caches over the Blue Mountains. Starting from Hartley heading south to stop by Burraga Dam overnight, then heading north to Rockley and Oberon. We had a very successful trip, notching up 115 smileys, and exploring many out of the way places. Lots of interesting scenery and wildlife along the way. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these hides.

Our last one for Day One and what a beauty. Took a while to work out the best access, until I decided to get down and crawl under. At GZ, I checked the 4 options and came up with the well-hidden cache on my second rotation. Didn't need to PAF or #13. Now back to Burraga Dam for dinner by the lake. TFTC

Out with Brewmaker on a two day adventure. On this, our first day, we started at Hartley on the Jenolan Caves Mini Power Trail, and through Hampton. Then it was onto The Road Less Travelled touring trail (our third time out for this series) past Duckmaloi and Black Springs where we picked up the rest of the trail around Mount David and Burraga. We camped for the night at the Burraga Dam camping ground bside the lake - a beautiful place and one to remember.
It was perfect weather to be touring around the countryside, seeing lots of native birds and farm animals along the way. We also picked up some other associated caches along the way. Thanks to all of the cache owners for the clear directions, hints, and good easy hides. Only a couple took more than a minute to locate. This was our last cache find on Day 1, then it was back to our camp at Burraga Dam. TFTCs Big Grin
PS: We found ourselves on the wrong side of the fence and Brew had to scramble under it. Don't drive up through the Sports Club, even though it did give us a laugh.

Hi there Scenic Routers.

We found your cache **"Phone 13"** today. (This makes our find count 17863).

Today we headed out from Oberon to complete the "TRLT" series - but we also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails.

We found 5 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
**Note:** The listed trackable "Faultiere Mystery Geocoin" is not in the cache,** could Scenic Routers (or the Trackable owner) please "Mark the Item as Missing" so it can be removed from the cache inventory. This option is under Actions on the trackable's web page). Sad

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Abercrombie River area weekend. Day 2. Today was all about the Road Less Traveled series South of Abercrombie River Road. The day went fantastically, I made it through all of the planned caches just before it started raining very heavily. I look forward to more of the series.

Heading out to our commencing point for TRLT, made a quick detour to grab this one on the way. After signing the log and a few artistic photos of the camo, took up the suggestion of lunch in “town”. Sadly would not recommend the experience to others.

3 girls (Mizmaz, StumbleTrip and myself), a car, a gps and a sense of adventure resulted in 198 caches over 3 days.

The cache was camo'ed well. Nice to see something a little different every now and again. We stopped for lunch in town, if you're ordering the chips please note that one serve could feed a family of four. TFTC

After much deliberation and comparing of diaries, The Rats, Steeba and I eventually found a weekend that we could all commit to completing the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, along with some caching in Bathurst (which was actually the scene of our first combined geocaching trip nine years ago!). A last minute trip overseas for me cropped up; but I arranged it so that I could fly home just in time to not miss out on this caching extravaganza.

Friday night we headed to Abercrombie River via Goulburn (from Wollongong), and camped at the campsite there. Saturday saw us drive the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, ending up in Bathurst right on dinner time. We then found some local caches before staying at a friend's house for the night. On Sunday we headed back out to Oberon for some more caches and then did a couple of loops around Bathurst. We had originally planned to stay Sunday night, but once we clicked over 300 finds for the weekend the inspiration started to wane, and we all agreed to turn our heads for home.

Steeba completely missed this one. I got it, but only once I took my sunnies off!

Cheers

Nothing beats a "road trip". My find count had been suffering from the "rest of life" getting in the way of caching so along with Steeba and Hoojar a plan was hatched to go "beyond the Great Divide". The 2nd half of the TRLT looked to be the obvious solution. Under perfect skies and with gps loaded we hit the dirt roads.

Our first full day of caching had us weaving our way along the TRLT to a point where we completed the lower section of the series in one day. This half is contrastingly different to the other, but still very spectacular. Thanks to all the CO’s of the caches we found along the way. Apologises for the template style log but with 300 finds for the weekend each container begins to look the same.

Some of us cant see the trees beacause of the forest.

The Rats, Hoojar and myself made for the wider Bathurst area for a weekend finding some of TRLT series of caches.

The whole area was quite green and recent rains had meant the grass had exploded everywhere and was 3 or 4 foot high around many of the caches.

Not only did we find plenty of TRLT, there were many 'History of' caches found amongst others. Thanks to all the hiders. TFTC!

Liked this little spot but took longer than it should have!

#3962- Thinking I knew what the cache was, we drove down a rather overgrown dirt road, to find that I was completely wrong. Still I put my hand on the cache in the first spot I tried. Thanks

I picked the right spot to park the car and walk in. At the sign welcoming you to Burraga. The hint was good, but after the wet weather, I got soggy knees checking the four possibilities.

25-Sep-16
My car gps showed the path to gz as a road, so i drove my car up to gz. At least i made it back out again.
Second day out in the area to complete the power trail and other scattered caches about. I had camped out in Flat Rock campground, bit since i went to sleep much earlier than normal, i woke up extremely early, 3:45am and couldn't get to sleep again, so while i packed up, i made a coffee to go and started to cache in the dark.
Due to the rain overnight, and frequent drizzle, most of roads I drove down were muddy and very slippery. Gave my xtrail a good workout.
Overall I found 67 caches, and called 3 DNFs.

Thanks for the cache.

Two days of intense caching with J+J.AU. Main target was the part of the road less travelled, but we ended up picking up a lot more caches. The Saturday was ideal caching weather and we moved pretty quick. still there were a few tricky parts of still wet "roads" we had to manage with the 2WD. Not getting bogged was a accomplishment at the end of the day! Sunday started good as well after a overnight in Bathurst, but soon the rain set in and became worse and worse. we were glad we were able to finish this part of our planning just shortly after lunch! Any wetter and a few of the roads we travelled would have become very trick without 4WD. Great weekend and lots of fun thanks to J.AU anfd thanks to all the cachers that put the caches out there!

I joined up with Wilbert67 to make our dent on the road less travelled series this weekend. Saturday turned out to be the better day weather wise with Sunday slowly becoming wetter as the day went on until the afternoon was just a wash out with heavy rain.
We enjoyed the drive around the beautiful fields freshly dotted with newborn lambs as well as abundant wildlife and views at times that are truly to behold. Most of the hides were easily found with different subtle twists that kept the intrigue going.
Thanks to all the geocachers that have injected the work into the series and making the experience possible. Thanks also to my partner in quest Wilbert for the great company once again.

We were heading for home after a weekend on the TRLT trail. We found the History puzzle first, then headed to this one. We decided to park at the bottom & walk up, an easy enough thing to do. I thought this was going to be an old phone booth, and did wonder why one would ever have been up here. So the cache location was an interesting surprise.

We had four possible spots to look, and off course it was in the last of these. Of course!

Thanks Smile

We did three caches after finishing the TRLT series today before returning home. This was the second. We parked the car and walked up the hill. What we found wasn't what I expected, although having thought about it, the cache title is probably referencing the NRMA phone number. We figured we knew where to look, but with four possibilities it naturally took all four before I placed my hand on the cache. Thank goodness it wasn't a micro. Great spot. Hope the local farmer doesn't decide to do a clean up. Thanks

While spending a weekend camping out at the Burraga Dam, we went for a nice walk into town where we bought some hot chips. Had time for a cache so went in search of "Phone 13". Found in conjunction with family members (TheHunterGatherers). What a great cache hiding place, very clever consealment.

Thought it was about time I picked off this one as it is the only one out this way I haven't done and needed to cross off a day on the calender.
So after a short day at work I took the Scenic Route home as it was only an extra 70 km.
Walked the last 100 odd meters to the cache through the long grass on the road easement. Made the find quickly before having a look about the hiding spot.

Really enjoyed this cache. Knew it was here but never got around to grabbing it before. Was over from NZ to camp at the Burraga Dam with my good friend hanjac. i am lucky enough to travel the world regularly but this must be one of my very favourite spots to spend a few days relaxing and watching the world go by. Spent some time around the fire discussing a few new hides to place in Bathurst so look out for those soon. TFTC

A cache in Burraga I hadn't found. Needed to change that.

The find was easier than it really should have been as I found it on the ground. A little wet inside but a quick dry out and I placed it where I think it came from.

geoson had a mate with him as we were about to camp at the dam, he thought he would get it before me, so I asked him if he was looking for what I had in my hand. Another convert maybe.

Well it has been a long time between FTF's for Team Stilllookin but was today the day which would change that?
We saw this one come up a couple of days ago and figured one of the closer by cachers would get it fairly quickly, but two days on it still had not been found so we decided we would have a go for the FTF.
After making our way to Burraga we nearly missed our turn off but once that was sorted we followed what looked like a fairly fresh set of tracks which just seemed to peter out near GZ. After a short search we located the goods and opened the log book to find ...

Nah just kidding, we opened the log book to find it was still a virgin cache, whoo hoo. Once the caching thing was done we thought we would phone 13 but the Next G reception was just not up to the challenge or maybe there these fangle new phones just have no idea of those simpler times.

Anyhow thanks for giving us a most interesting afternoon and our first, first to find in a long while.
