Sorry to log a DNF we found the sign ok and did the math about 4 time at Gz to check that we are in the right place we only found one shrooms look like the rain may have wash the cache away hope to be back again , Ok it may be time for a maintenance TFDNF
Took advantage of a nice afternoon to go knock off a few in Whitby I still hadn't done, accompanied by Violet Butterfly. This was an easy one to figure out, and we were quickly at the final location - and very obviously the correct place as well. Three trips up the hill (two with the Butterfly in hand), and three searches - two very thorough, yielded - Nothing. No cache to be had. Suspect it might no longer be there.
Quick find whilst tripping in Whitby with JardislikeTardis ... Certainly hadn't expected to find examples this big, but was rather disappointed not to find fairies or other magical creatures making use of the facilities on the longest night of the year.
NB: Log was damp and mouldy.

Quickly collected the required info en route to completing "Hidden Gem" nearby, and kjwx and I were off to find the final. I was surprised by the hint objects - for some reason I was expecting the kind of concrete toadstools I recall from playgrounds of yore. Had to scrabble up the slippery bank to reach the cache, which was a bit scungy and damp, I'm afraid. TFTC
Visited today to drop off Marton Merekatz Travel GPS Geocoin. This coin is making its way to Blackpool, England to the young Paua Rangers' Grandma. Chose this cache as it is Grandma's most memorable one! Nestled it amoung the shrooms for the start of it's journey! Travel safe...
Find #1201. We had solved this one on a previous day many moons ago - but we opted not to locate the final as we wanted to knock off some of the other caches in the area at the time. So today, with the final coordinates in hand - we parked near "Man the capstan" and began the short walk under overcast (but luckily sheltered here) skies. The hint soon matched an object in our vicinity and the cache was found. Good multi... in fact I visited twice as I left the GPS behind at the cache! SL TFTC.

Used fozzmeisters calculations with great success! Really fun cache. Logbook is pretty damp but managed to write with pen. TFTC - Username changed to WhitbyWarthogs

Take note of Fozzmeister's log. The sign has changed the sequence of numbers. Interesting shrooms. TFTC
I had noted the required information while in the area doing Hidden Gem but when I sat down to do the maths things just didn't add up (and I can assure you that this was not due to the usage of mind altering shrooms). It appears that the sign may have been taken down for maintenance and then replaced with the boards in a different order. A subsequent discussion with the CO seems to confirm this. My amended calculations are:
PQ = (A + 1)
RST = (D * D * 12) + A + A + B
And
UV = (D * D) + (A - 1)
WXY = (A * A * A * 3) + (D * D) + A + A + (C *
Great shrooms and a nice loacation for and evening stroll. TFTC

A fun little multi. We managed to make a slight error in our calculations, but still reached the right area. We had an idea what we might be looking for, but took a while before we did find some shrooms, although they weren't the right ones but at least they confirmed what we were looking for, and we soon found the correct ones. The log was very damp and musty. TFTC
Took a while, as we didn't spot the obvious until we had just about given up the search. Oh, those ones!
Very interesting final, thanks for bringing me here.

#2363. Made hard work of the search for the final. Turned out to be much closer to the track than we thought the GPSr was pointing us. Nice hide. TFTC.
Took us a little while to find it, but after widening our search, the cache was in our hands. Nice spot for a hide. Thanks for a nice walk on a sunny day.
Last cache for today, a nice little group of 5 all before lunch. Located the numbers (pity about the graffiti on the sign) and looked for a place to rest up while the computations were made. It helps to add and not minus otherwise it would be a loonggg walk!!! A quick recalculation and something a lot closer was acceptable. Passed a number of muggles out walking before ducking into the bush to check out the shrooms. I little bit of a hunt (GPS had me further away than what I needed to be) before locating the hide. Cache is slightly damp and the log could do with a dry out before winter sets in. Signed both ends of the log as the cover had been turned round. Nice multi and a pleasant walk. TFTC
More great walkways. Exploring the local area today. Enjoying the multis. TFTC
Wasn't sure that our calculations were right at first but a quick find once we got there. TFTC!
Found the numbers and was glad i had my phone with me so i could use the calculator. Walked straight pass the shrooms and then lost statelite connection, so retraced our steps and got a signal 15m away, 2nd time around Mr Mags goes i see the shrooms, so didn't need GPS afterall just open eyes. TNLN TFTC
Our 2nd NZ find, out walking the dog for the inlaws this afternoon and we grabbed this cache! TFTC!
Really mucked up the maths on this one. Initial calculations put me on a nice track and I even found an empty ziplock bag tucked away under some tree roots. Email to the owner however revealed I was way off the mark so more calculations, with a calculator this time, gave some other numbers which as it turned out were finally correct.
Interesting shrooms, TFTC

Third cache find for the day after finding another multi cache nearby. No problems here and a nice walk to GZ. Placed all the contents of muggled cache found earlier in the day into this cache, including laminated card by cache owner that said “Cache Created By Crystal Fairy”, so there are 2 cards in this cache now, in case owner wants to retrieve it to fix muggled cache. A rather fun multi in a nice walkway that we've never been to before so we enjoyed exploring the track. Thanks for showing us this place and for the multi cache, Crystal Fairy.
Great cache. Heaps of fun finding it.
Took TravelCoin, left sparkly marble.
Will find the coin a new home soon

Made short work of the calculations using the calculator on my phone. Quickly spotted the hint and had the cache in my grubby hands in no time. TFTC
Really fun multi-cache. Was pleased I still have all my fingers and toes for the maths. Nice location and as soon as I saw location cache name became clear. SL TFTC
Solved the coordinate puzzle yesterday - although I'd been past the board a number of times previously. Cache a little difficult to pinpoint as Garmin played up as soon as I went into the trees but got there in the end.

Lovely..bit tricky but magical spot. TFTC Took 2 geocoins who will travel with me very soon!
A quick find on a caching expedition this afternoon. Loved the shrooms, great specimens. Left Nomad GC, signed log, TFTC
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 357. Easy once I spotted the shrooms! Thanks.
We now know what a shroom is! A great multi which tested our yr 4 and 6 team members. Swapped GC's. TFTC
#841. Was on a "high" to find this one.

This was a nice multi cache, solved the puzzle after realising that I had mess up the maths a little bit, BUT after sorting this out off I went to the final, arrived at GZ and realised what I was looking for, have kind of seen simular things at another cache site, BUT yes still interesting, a well themed cache, TFTC TNLNSL (1108)

#246. Another nice little walkway through Whitby which we frequent very often. As I know the area relatively well, I struggled to work out how 'Shroomville' tied in the cache... until I came across GZ - nice! SL, TFTC. -necklace, +spiky ball, +bell.
2nd of two caches before heading into Welly for the day and 2nd FTF for non Madagascar event attendees. Was unfortunately unable to attend the event due to work commitments which was as shame as it sounds like it was a huge success.

Found during the Madagasgar event with Bcj97. Fourth find of the day and despite a bit of boy maths that a calculator would have avoided, Bcj97 sorted me out. TFTCSL
Found at Madagascar. 2/16 for the event. A combined find with another team. Amazing shrooms!!!!!
We drove from the published coordinates to save some time.
On the way we were wondering what the heck a shroom was.
Found the cache quickly and found out what a shroom is.
Thanks.

Having helped Bkj97 to find many of his caches since May 2009 I thought it was time that Bcj97 (previous name) should evolve and register my finds to date as Little Blue Hen. He ran off and completely overshot the mark. Eventually he returned and I showed him where he should have stopped.TFTC
Found during Madascar. 1/10. Found with two extra minus the big black furry thing. Thank you for that.
Oh Dear, Mr Miowmix took a tumble down the bank and accidentally took a bit of the tree with him! Found with Lumbarius during Madagascar event. TFTC : )
A nice multi, had a chat with a local muggle at the parking area who was very interested in what we were doing, after we had convinced her that we weren't lost. Great Shrooms at the final amongst the best I've seen. TFTC
Found with geodatum during the Madagascar event. The maths kept us occupied, then upon arriving at GZ, we spent quite a few minutes pondering what a shroom was, and looking for the right ones. Another team arrived and spotted the correct location much faster. Thanks for the fun Crystal Fairy.
11.34am. WooHoo MY FIRST FTF I know I can't claim it, but it's the first I have found since starting caching over 6 years ago, but at least I know i'm the first name in the book.
Very quick find amongst the schrooms.
Magic spot, only a full would miss this.
