This cache has gone missing for the 4th time so it is time to hang up this space and hope someone else has better luck with a placement. Sorry to all those that went to have a look and it was gone. Cheers
Another DNF! Im afraid when the winds howling and the rain is teeming down, I lose patience a wee bit to quick sometimes! Had a pretty good hunt and thought we were onto something a couple of times but no sign. xx

NZ11. Not beach weather today, even though it was not actually raining. Plenty of crevices, but I found it. Thanks.

Quick find, last time I was here the cache was not there. Good that it's back! TFTC
Found this one with Biggles while caching in the area. Fortunately the camping muggles had chosen a spot slightly further along and we were well shielded from them. TFTC
Found on day 1 of a 3 day Auckland cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. Used to visit Hadfield's Beach quite often when I was small. Still dark and early and not muggly at all so it could be found in peace. TFTC, Biggles.
Found easily, though muggle traffic was a bit high. It was all about timing and diversionary tactics.
Thx for making us stopping here … greets from Cologne

#500: Yeah! We finally made it to 500! Quick and easy find--just out of sight from the sunbathing muggles close by. I don't think anyone saw our little victory dance...

A nice little hiding spot! Great view and was nice running into each other earlier in the day. Thanks.
8.20am - Do this cache at the right time of the day and there will be no problem with muggles.TFTC
Quick find. Was sitting in a quite obvious position. Have rehid a bit better.

This cache has been replaced again!!!!!!! Don't understand how it can go missing so often, please replace tightly so prevent it going missing again.
Out with Capgun098 increasing his smiley face tally, this cache appears to have gone awol as not in situ as found & logged by me
Was quiet here this morning so had time for a reasonable hunt but without any success. having a bad run of dnf's at the moment so it may be just me.
Going to Paihia today we crossed this traditional. We thought ooh grab it and go, but the little basterd took some time but we found him
thanks for this one

Looked and looked and looked and well you guessed it..... We looked then little Sammy said the magical words...... Cool spot for a cache. Thanx team!!!!! Taking old way on north trip for long weekend. Tftc guys
A late afternoon find on the way back from Matakana to Orewa. Last day of our holiday . Good clue! TFTC!
#508 Great having a relative that needs visiting regularly, so slowly ticking off the caches in the area. Waited and waited for a young couple to finish their lunch and move on, so moved off ourselves to do a few others nearby and came back, coast was clear, skies opened up, so quick grab. SL. TFTC.
Checked this cache out while returning from up North and it has gone missing again. Luckily we had a replacement cache in the car. Please ensure you tuck this cache away when returning so it remains safe.
Had a fair search, didn't really wanna give up on this one, buy I was really pushed for time now and had to leave. Be back another time.
Nice specimen to hide the cache in,took a little bit of hunting, found on our return north following visit to the big smoke.TFTH.
Always muggles here. Last time we ignored them, but didn't find the cache. This time a trucky was having a break in clear view of the try, so we went away to the hide across the hat field. After succes there we returned to find the cache well exposed in a place where we certainly checked last time. Anyway, thanks!
This was the 23rd day of our vacation in New Zealand. This was our 122nd cache. We traveled today from Snell’s Beach to Auckland. On the way we stopped for a break – and thought this looks like a nice place for a cache. And it was! Quick find. Thanks and greetings from The Lowlandfamily from The Netherlands.

a beautiful day at the beach and loads of people dotted all along enjoying it; luckily GZ was clear, so easily signed & replaced. TFTC!
The second one on my way to Wenderholm, just cross the road - it was a quick find TFTC
Thanks a lot for the stop at this lovely spot. Found this together with HELMI02...
Together with King_Oskar, we went for cache search. Thanks a lot for the hide.

aptly named cache - nearly lost my hat in the wind. we'd had our picnic then just thought to see if there were any caches about. must have been able smell it in the wind ! tftc
Yes, it had gone missing. Replacement has been made. Please make sure it is replaced out of sight.
Will check this one out when we return from up north. Have replacement on hand if missing.
Bit too much traffic around for us to search properly, but we checked all the (we thought) obvious holes and couldn't find it. Maybe some other time.
We tried hard on a nice day, but couldn't find it. Looked and felt carefully in all holes, but no luck.
No findy on this one, even had help from Yugeo 4 . looked
in places both sides but no luck.

#39 After dinner we headed out to complete a few caches. Parked on the opposite side of this one and walked around to quickly locate the prize. Left a CROC and returned the cache to its hide. Great that there are no real bitey thing over here.
Finally got here sister dearest. On way to Raewyn's and took the Free road to find this one. Nice and straight forward. T4TC
Parked up close more by accident than design so a quick walk round and a think then a find! TFTC
Nice quick drive by. Kids stayed in the car while I ran across the road for a quick retrieve. TFTC.
On way back from grand daughters birthday party at Waiwera, pulled in safely and wandered back, easy find. TFTC - Netball

Hats off to a clever hide, muggles parked close by, but none the wiser.

Another find in the dark . It makes it so much easier to dodge Muggles. Unfortunately it means that the view can not be fully appreciated. TFTC
Hats off for nice driveby and conveniently placed cache. It was drizzling and the rain was quite heavy at times early during the day. Fortunately caches like this still make geocaching possible without getting too wet. Thanks Welsh.
Bit slow on the find for the 9th of the day. Must have looked rather odd to the passing stream of traffic..hard to poke nonchalantly inside a ......Only the beach remains unchanged since we used to make a 'long' journey from the Wade River to get cockles as children..50+ years ago.
Made a quick stop on our way back from caching in Wenderholm this morning. Did not have the hint with us, but happened to catch a glimpse of it while searching other holes (as per sp8sm8 and Tufty). Always liked the look of this beach and have driven past it many times over the years, but have rarely stopped here. Thanks.

Maybe it was that our caching mojo was on tonight, but we found this one straight away in the obvious spot. Nice little spot to stop off. TFTC!!!
Exact same story as Tufty, wonder how many others found it this way. Beach quiet today, wonder why!

I left the husband to find the cache while I sprinted across the road to the public toilets. He had it in hand by the time I got back to the car TFTC
While sticking my hand in the wrong hole I put my face in the correct one and saw it there.
Cheers for the cache.

11:29 - Great spot for lunch while on our way North. We can see why the cache gets its name the wind was blowing pretty strongly, I'm sure many a hat was blown off. Beach pretty quiet I guess because of the Dead dog issues.
Thanks for the cache!
