At the market just before the Jidai Matsuri started.
Searched the area but couldn't find it the first time.
Went into the market to find my wife and kids but got itchy so went back to try again.
Using my camera, I spotted the Geecaching logo and was so very happy.

While on a trip through Japan, visiting some different places and cities,

Finally this was our first cache in Japan, at least we know how these caches look like in such dense populated areas and hope to find some more during our holiday.

We were starting to feel defeated after attemping to look for several caches with no luck.
This is the first one we found of the day YAY!

Excellent hint made this a pleasant find for our last one in Kyoto. I was able to use my umbrella as a shield from prying eyes as it was still raining, and ChappyCda did the honours. We then walked on down the street, and what a great area! Easy to spend lots of money in here, I think. TFTC. =`.`=
