Tough puzzle, easy find,it doesn't get much easier when the geochecker has 3 big red arrows point at the spot Smile

26-Sep-10
We're not the first to end up in the water and have Geochecker confirm that we were wrong. Tried and tried, but still couldn't come up with an alternative answer, so thought we'd stop in as we were passing and have a look around anyway, armed with 3 possible sets of co-ordinates.

The first left us too exposed with no possible hidey place. The second matched the clue, and VOILA!, had cache in hand within a couple of minutes, thanks to the clue.

Solved the puzzle one way but it obviously wasnt the right way, therefore decided to have a punt like others and used the spoiler photos and clues. Wasn't long before a could place my fish in the fish tank and move on, without getting wet even though the water skiers tried hard.

Sudoku puzzler let the accountant figure this one out but I drew the line at looking for it 70m off-shore and after casting about soon had the cache in hand. TFTC.

Like others before us we managed to get a set of co-ords that looked OK, but geochecker did not approve of. We thought we would give it a go anyway, and the GPS led us straight to the cache. Lovely spot, and lots of activity on the lake even at this early hour. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

Solved the puzzle when first published, with two different solutions. Neither of which the geochecker approved.
So after two full evenings of work, gave it away.
Saw the cache page had been updated, but was just too busy to try. However was at a picnic nearby today, and a nudge put us in the right direction.
RadioNut took the direct route, while the butterfly flittered above with dry feet.
Thanks for the fun

Solved at home and did paperwork today. TFTC, great place to stop and watch the activity on the lake.

24-Jan-10
The teddy bear solved it in the back seat, unfortunately after we had passed it. Quick U-turn and we were soon at the the GZ or were we? Coords pointing out into the lake, but with four caching brains on the job the cache was somewhat luckily or skillfully in hand.

As Sp8s reports, solved, U-turned, and found after a bit of searching using cachers instinct. Mr TT rechecked the sums when we got home and thinks he found why we ended up with Co-ords out in the water. TFTC

30-Dec-09
This was a real effort as our co-ords were not correct and we needed to get started on today's mission of several caches. Got it on 2 nd visit with help from a friend.
A bit of a mission here indeed

An interesting puzzle, there were a few mathematical solutions that fitted the criteria, but only one complied with the cache instructions. Thanks for another clever brain teaser. Great spot for the hide as well. Loved the all in themed cache container.

Found today after decoding quiz a while ago. Black covering glue has come unstuck but all seems in good order. Another great cache by cashkids.

The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
Solved this pesky wee puzzle a few weeks back, but was waiting for a few more caches to pop up out this way before heading out for the find.
Armed with the geochecker results, this made for an easy find.
Liked the cache puzzle and the theme.
Dropped off Disturbed TB, took nothing.
TFTC.

Solved shortly after being published but only managed to get here today. Took two hunts as GPS pointed in completely the wrong direction the first time. Found with earthie. Great container. TFTC

Mr Geckoh solved this (with a little help from the owner) so couldn't miss the opportunity to pick this one up on our way home with Mellee in tow.
Thanks Cashkids - I think that only leaves four of your caches for us to find (unless you place more in the meantime!) We will be back!!

I was unable to figure it out the puzzle Smile, but seabrezz was on hand to work it out Found this cache some time ago but some how missed it off the log you visit

06-Aug-09
Thanks to the mathematical help from seabrezz we solved this one and headed for g.z. yes it was right where it said.
Neat container TFTC.

Spent quite a lot of time on the puzzle. Came up with a solution that seemed to meet all the specified criteria but the geochecker wasn't happy.
Had to pick up one of the kids from hockey in Cambridge tonight so made a little detour to test the solution. Only had my old Quest in the car which loses signal at the first sign of a tree but was pleased to find the cache in the first place I looked and very close to my indicated GZ.
Still don't know why geochecker didn't work.
Many thanks for the challenge

Have edited last part of equation of East for less posibility of geocheck error. There was 2 possible outcomes, one spot on and one 12m out from GZ. Most of wrong solutions are overseas attempts however ,and are South coords errors.

Very excited to see this come up on Sunday and only 7km away.
Close physically , but a long way apart mentally!
What a struggle!
Found early this morning after many wrong attempts on Geochecker.
As it happens had the E coordinate right but are still a way off on the N side of the equation. However, that was enough to do the job in conjunction with published info and physical barrier to the South! Logged @7.30am. (After exploring various facets of the cache container!) Took coin. Thanks

Well done quinella..Cool Who will be next???

For those looking to Google for inspiration under "4x4 Magic Square Solver" this does not give all valid results (and none fitting the "cut into 4 pieces requirement" (at least when I tried it!).
