Looked in all the obvious places but had to push off after 10 minutes of hunting. Next time.
Nice park. I can just remember the old Woolen mill shutting down.
Cheers and thanks,

Lots of branches done in the area, including where the cache was. Log, as others have said, is wet.
Gps a bit wayward with trees about but finally got there. Log still is wet but takes ball point ok.TFTH.
Found it at last. After searching in three different locations 4 - 5 times we found it.
I'd been out this way earlier in the week but didn't have suitable footwear; quick find today; again - great camo. TFTC.
TFTC. The log was very damp and a difficult to write in, probably needs to be well dried out. I loved the branch.
Coords led me to a lawn spot. There were many trees around and I assumed it was a leafy tree but no even though I thought a geocacher would choose that. Walked well away from the coord-location and something seemed to call from another tree. Found it. Very nice park. Thanks.
We did not find it easily , mainly due to GPS being all over the place but Little G before we gave up pounced Thanks
Soaking wet log book, thanks to taadfamily for providing some pages and a plaso bag. Took a while to find, GPS all over the place. TFTC
Bother ! i checked it just last week and it was fine, I'll head up and sort it out this coming week
thanks for the heads-up
thanks for the heads-up
Found it today Very nice location and not too many muggles around.
The logbook however is absolutely soaking wet. I have put some paper in a plastic bag inside the cache as a temp measure if anyone finds it but it will need a new proper log book at some point

Could not find this last time but i was looking in the wrong place. It is still there.
A little sad as i had a good day finding these.Spent a lot of time looking for this one which was meant to be easy.Hope i am wrong but have suspicion that mugglers may have got it.Hope i am wrong. Will keep a check on this one to see if found in th near future.
We took a few interested muggles out for a day of caching, might have some new converts.
By the middle of the day they were starting to get the hang of it and we got the cache quickly.

An extremely windy day and gps had me going in circles but eventually got it. TFTC
A quick stop on the way back to town doing Tour de Kaiapoi, as good as any for a break and a drink stop. TNLN Thanks.
Tried finding it at night. Will come back sometime during the day. Hope to avoid muggles who frequent near by.

My father worked in one of the sister mills - Roslyn. Found broken glass in one hole I shoved my hand into - beware.

Tried again today but again had no luck! GPS put me on top of the nearby picnic table and after searching around every tree in the area I was unable to find it.
Could not find this one but the machine was not having a good day with distance. I think it should have been doable anyway but in the end we had lunch instead.

there was evidence of people digging round the base of quite a few trees near the first co-ords. No Digging this time !:)

Arrived and after a quick search found it - or at least found the pill bottle minus lid and contents! Have left bottle under tree with orang protected tree sign near coordinates on east side
Found with YuGeo4, yes it is a shame that these sort of manufacturing industries have now all but gone, we are all poorer for it. Found cache quickly, thanks for the history lesson around this cache, TFTC TNLNSL (1141)

Kids chuffed being able to track down a micro in this lovely little spot. Nice placement.
After some digging about I got my hot little hands on the cache.
Nice wee spot, thanks for the hunt.

We arrived at the cache and found Tree Fellas cutting up branches with a mulching thingy. But soon had it in hand.Dont think they noticed us as we were very quick.TN LN TFTC.
We nearly gave up on this one, we had declared this one and where about to move on when I tried one more thing. Bingo.
Cheers.

This one was well hidden had to check the clue and read some of the logs again to find the cacheTNLNSL
Took a while to find this one, it was a little too well hidden. Cheers Gav [4482]
This took some uncovering. However I did re hide quite carefully on side of hint. I have not seen that factory before, but have purchased many of its products years ago. TNLN Thank you.
Don't you hate it when every log says"easy find" and no matter how hard you look, you can't find it???? Very likely hiding spot discovered but no cache...Will have to return. Never knew this was where the Mill was so it wasn't a complete waste. Thanks for bringing us here.
Easy find - too easy, as the cache was exposed, so I covered it a bit more. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1664)
With many muggles around plus a thick bed of fallen leaves I made a 'quick pass' but will be back.
We were walking to GZ when we noticed a couple of mugglets also walking in the same general direction - darn it, we may have to lurk for it a bit! But not mugglets, it turned out to be local cacher, Angusp2 who was also headed for the same cache (and found it - we were looking for a small sized cache not a micro).
Very nice to meet fellow cachers - good luck with the new cache placement!

#866 (4/4 on a trip north of the 'mak). Actually found by a couple of young cachers who arrived at GZ at the same time we did. Good to chat to some cachers new to the area. TFTC.

Great Cache!
Was walking towards the cache and noticed that there were 2 others with a GPS. it turned out to be Troodles and StreetwalkerNZ.
Great to meet other Geocachers.

Tried for this one last night, but got almost to the tree before we realised that it was occupied by muggles doing who-knows-what!! So we returned this morning to find the cache and check up on it. All seems fine however. TFTC
A nice easy find while out caching this afternoon and nice to know about the history of the building close by. TFTC. Cheers Bo
Easy. Played football and rugby afterward on the grassy fields. Nice spot. TNLN.
Wool stuff goes on forever generations [^], compared to modern substitutes . Good hide place. #561
Quick grab, been here a long time ago doing one of Balded's caches.
Thanks Bitsprayer

Lost GPS reception under the trees, so sat out in open away from GZ waiting for my GPS to come ready again. While waiting a middle aged couple appeared, GPS in hand. Closely watching me the walked beyond the cache site then looped back some distance away searching at about head height. No luck they quickly returned to their car and drove away. TNLN, Thanks.
2830. A quick find before heading home. This looks like a good park to visit in the summer.
Thanks

Saw Geocacer looking for it so went away and came back later. Droped off Speed Racer.
Out and about finding a few caches with gjdjpoi this morning. Yes, I certainly remember Kaiapoi blankets, still have a couple at home but now relegated to use in the garage after many years of service. Interesting to see this place, and the rather nice looking park too, enjoyed the visit.

Another new area for us to explore. The mill must have been a busy place when it was going. TFTC
Nice to see another cache pop up in Kaiapoi (and it's not mine). After seeing it just published I ventured out this evening with torch in hand, for a quick grab at 9.25pm...and as I expected (as it was only just published) an FTF....yeehhhhaaaa. According to the blurb in the front of the log book (placed on July 24th) I managed to find it before it was placed???...I even manged to beat BaldEd to this one. TFTC
