I cannot see any information that suggests to me that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement, therefore I have no option but to archive the listing.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email and include **GC Number and Cache Name**) and, assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

If there are components or remnants of the cache and you haven't already done so, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Geotrash.

Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Thanks for the update Deepsky24. It appears that the GZ area has been cleared, taking with it the cache.
I will look for a nearby spot to relocate it and update the details ASAP.
Cheers

This may be a premature NA log, however I feel it needs the attention of a reviewer. The CO hasn't responded to the NM log and it appears they haven't been active/logged in for nearly 12 months. The other cache they own, which is part of this series was also archived a long time ago.

29-Jun-16
Had another look for this and unless I've gone blind, I'm fairly certain there is no cache at GZ anymore.

Got to the monument, but didn't find a cache. Looked around ground level, fiddled a little but couldn't turn anything up. Muggled perhaps? It could be there, maybe worth a check.

Find #1486

I was here on a short drive from work last week. Took me a while but eventually the penny dropped and I spotted something useful. I was still confused by some info leaving me with incomplete coordinates. Plotted a few options and with a bit of research I had somewhere to check out. Scooted down here on another lunchtime break and I quickly had the cache in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited a bunch of trackables that I'm taking to the Melbourne mega event next month. Thanks for the cache and a clever multi GetOutdoorsOz.

That moment when everything just falls into place!!

This cache has been on my radar from pretty much the moment I signed up. Spending half my time in the village each week (and knowing the monument in question) holding back the temptation to just go to GZ was a real struggle. I hate to think how many times a week I walk or drive past WP1 but with the complete wrong idea about the correct process to start solving, the numbers I always found never made sense against the questions that needed answering. The countless hours I have spent reading past logs and just trying brute force never got me close to the final GZ coordinates. Having a bit of free time on Monday night I decided to have another look at the cache page. I sat GeoMum down and started going through the clues and hints with her. She was on a completely different page to me and all of a sudden I had one of those light bulb moments!! With all the clues, hints and past logs hitting me in the face like a brick, a quick google search confirmed my theory. With some quick number work I finally had some workable coordinates, that when plugged in, finally matched up with Mr Smith's monument. As I said temptation was almost too great, but I wanted to go about it the proper way. Finally I had a quick grab after work, just on dusk and in between the few muggles left in town for the long weekend!! Thanks for the extremely clever multi GetOutdoorsOz, once you get it, you think "Oh yeah"!!

Awesome to finally get the smiley for this one Big Grin

Enjoyed this one. I too struggled to determine the "missing" value at WP1, although the arithmetic required suggested only a very limited number of such pairs of integers would yield a plausible longitude. The first one I tried was right on the mark, which was lucky because I didn't know any of these landmarks beforehand. Smile TFTC!

Fr. Fr. Freezing today. This kept me on my toes though. Thank you.

Thanks for a quick find this morning. I remember another cache in the same location years ago. SL

Like some others, I couldn't make head or tail of WP1 and moved on fairly quickly.

06-Apr-15
Allowed plenty of time to collect this one and found that it wasn't needed. On an Easter public holiday the town was very quiet so parked at the first way point and hoped that the numbers I selected were correct. Then continued around the corner to GZ. A quick easy find. TFTC

28-Mar-15
Attempted this one tonight but couldn't make head nor tail of wp1. I also couldn't work out where the monument was. I will be back during the day to try and sort this one out.

I found it!
Wow what a find
Lucky I had my gf do all the problem solving

05-Mar-15
Finally I have found the cache where I had been looking all along.

The puzzle does not make sense to me though I just knew the monument.

10-Feb-15
After finishing 2 quick jobs 1 in Mornington and the other in mt Eliza I decided to grab breakfast across the road from wp1, after finishing breakfast I went to find this cache and found it in the first place I looked. Thanks GetOutdoorsOz for the quick multi.

Quick find today after yesterday's monumental blunder.
Once the penny finally dropped, the clues & WP made perfect cents !

Banking on my new numbers, I dispensed with the WP & headed straight to the GZ co-ords instead.

Brilliant cluework GOO - you had me well suckered from the get go ! Never mind the bollards it would seem Wink

BIG TFTC - enjoyed it immensely. Smile

07-Nov-14
Congrats on an extremely clever ruse.
A product of my generation, (3 R's & several, near-fatal beatings for spelling !), I quickly followed you up the garden path on this one !
A day of bitter ironies - only solved when I got home:
Unwittingly parked within a stone's throw of the true GZ.
Literally walked past the WP to collect erroneous clues nearby.
Some more 'inspired' guesses & off to search the wrong spot !! (to no avail). Smile
Eventually the 'blind' led me to true enlightenment.
Lost pole position now, but eager to confirm the 'what' & 'where', (hopefully my next post !). Wink

Hat's off to you GetOutdoorsOz - inspired cluework; frustration & cunning bluff.

I, like many before me, was stumped by WP1. Had my thesaurus handy, tried a couple of hunches, but could get no further. Took an educated guess at a couple of the values, which put me on to a nearby suspicious spot. After reading the clue for GZ, I knew exactly where to look!

The light was all gone by the time I made it to GZ, so I had to stealthily flash the torch around, and narrowly avoided evisceration by the biggest, meanest looking bull ant I have yet to stumble across! Left him well alone after I nearly put my hand on him, and he reared up! Ahhh, one of the joys of caching.

Soon found cache, and retired to nearby bench to sign. Thanks for the fun little tour of Mt Eliza, and making me stop to read a plaque that I used to clamber all over as a kid!

At GZ we were looking around for a couple of minutes until it clicked. Made an educated guess at the missing number, as things have slightly changed. Accurate coords led us to the hide. Thanks for the cache and the history lesson.

Boom! Thanks for the reply! Sat here thinking about your cryptic reply and remembering the surroundings, and it all fell into place!! I'll head back tmrw and give it another go!

13-Feb-14
Ahh! So rewarding to find this one. Such a clever hide and I love the cryptic clue on the first waypoint. The first waypoint is absolutely legitimate if you think outside the box. It have me two different possible coordinates because I found there were two different digits missing - but a great find! Bec & Steve. FTF with the new logbook and first in 11months!

12-Feb-14
Dear Bane123 & other GCers, I can assure you the WP1 is 100% correct and found & used by many in the past. To make sense of WP1 you need to read the clue & the cache details carefully and note that there are NOT any spelling errors. I think I might have said too much. Good luck & have fun.

11-Feb-14
Waypoint clearly incorrect as per previous posts. Will try my luck with Google and come looking again.

22-Jun-13
HI Fellow GCs. I have checked the cache following reports of possible muggling & damage.
I can confirm that the cache is safe and sound. The rubbish around the GZ is NOT the cache.
The log book has suffered some water damage and will be replaced, so don't get too excited if you find it blank, you are far from FTF.

11-May-13
Also found bottom of container behind monument.

31-Mar-13
With my trusty "caching guide", this one was quickly nabbed. Many thanks.

26-Mar-13
I think this has been muggled as there is the bottom of a small container lying nearby.

08-Oct-12
The start of another brilliant TDC (The Demolition Crew) run which saw us travel from central Melbourne all the way down to Mornington, collecting over 30 finds for the night. Some great caches and great company. We were 4 up for a while being myself, TrailRunning, Quasar3671 and Rebel Acts, some hard-hitters there to be sure... But Q had to part company early in the night, to head to Brisbane in his new Prado for family matters. My first time caching with Rebel Acts, and what a fantastic bloke, and a fantastic night had by all. Really enjoyed how the team worked all together, it was a lot of fun.

Another multi, one of 10 for the night that we found. Pretty good numbers on that. This was another nice little multi. TFTC.

08-Oct-12
Another Monday night comes around and I have just arrived back from a great non-caching weekend near Benalla. Blacklegend is on his way down from Tocumwal and is ready to roll on a great route planned for The Demolition Crew. As Quasar3671 is moving north to Brisbane later tonight, the crew only have a few hours together for what was to be a great night's run down to Mornington.

With Quasar3671 having to leave at about 8 pm, the third spot for the night appeared out of the blue in the form of RebelActs who was looking to do some night caching on his own before he called me and asked to join in. Absolutely I say, and he is soon on the way to Seaford to catch us there. The run started in central Melbourne with the members of TDC who hadn't collected Magnum Opus signing the log (All the members of TDC have now complete the Danozz puzzle series!).

This cache was one of the caches I signed tonight. Having obtained the co-ordinates it was a short walk to sign the log, thanks.

Smile I have no idea what is supposed to be at WP1 but i found GZ and homed in on the cache. Sorry if i screwed it up but WP1 co-ords are in the middle of the shopping centre. Anyway, it was nice to see the original bricks from Mr. Smith's house.

We headed up to the village for a morning coffee as well as some shopping with Dicksontwo. As there were a few caches right around the corner what else can a geocacher do than go and find them! I used something in my pocket to solve something, off to the coordinates and got the final coordinates. Off we went and I had to search for this all by myself as my co-cachers had found this earlier. Thanks and hi from Finland.

12-Feb-12
Found at 11:55 AM GAFF3. Was passing by after having another go at "Walk the Plank" and this time we cut to the chase and went straight to GZ which we knew had to be close by. Still don't know what the first WPT is all about.
A lovely little village which is very well patronised by the locals.
Thanks GetOutdoorsOz

DNF at around 3.30pm. Was totally bewildered as to what to do at GZ. Tried to find the old bricks of the cottage that were mentioned in the cache description, but couldn't even find them. Saw lots of numbers on shop window fronts, but how to work out the highest, missing was beyond us.
Will have to get some help for this one.

Find # 1418

It is a beautiful day, perfect to be out on the trail and geocaching, so I contacted my good mate and caching partner in crime sedgwickdave and we headed towards Frankston, Mount Eliza and Mornington areas.

We searched for some time at the initial waypoint with no luck. We chen checked the clue and used it to find the final co ords for GZ. An unusual way to find a cache, but we fount it in the end.

Thanks to GetOutdoorsOz for the hide.

Found @1140 #1164
On a cache run thru the Frankston, Mount Eliza and Mornington areas today with good mate ahomburg. Arrive at WP1 and couldn't locate the numbers mention. Did spot some numbers about 7m away but these didn't seem right or make sense to the questins ask. So checking the hint saw a hint for GZ and decided to give that a go. After wandering off to find somewhere to buy a drink as it was warm today, spotted what could be GZ. A few mintues later cache was in hand, yay!! Expected more of a hunt for this but still a satisfying find, yay!! Big Grin. TFTC GetOutdoorsOz, TNLN

As walenators drove around the area today, we were starting to get a little hungry. We decided to do one more cache and then eat. Arriving at this one I gathered the required information and set off for GZ. It took a few minutes of searching but I soon had the container in hand, away from prying eyes, and signed the log. Spying a nice spot close by, walenators and I then set off for a geocacher refuel before continuing on with our day.

Thanks for the history and cache GetOutdoorsOz

Our Eighth cache for the day whilst out and about in the Peninsula.

Armed with good knowledge of the area i knew where the final GZ would be but decided to do the right thing by a multi and complete
the workings. I gathered the required info easy enough but could not solve the second part EF. Maybe it was my brain from lack of coffee but I will sit down
over the next few nights and see if i can retrace what I could not do.

After a short time I decided to head to GZ and the cache was found and logged easily. I took a couple of readings to help me later and after the cache was rehidden
I was influenced by the smell of the nearby fish and chip shop, followed by the influence of coffee where we parked.

Our thanks to GetOutdoorsOz for the cache in an area I visited weekly for work.

Went to WP1 but couldn't see the pillar. Maybe the market stalls obscured it. After purchasing the best hot chocolate we have ever bought, we stumbled across WP2. The cache was soon safely in hand though the log was a bit damp and the zip lock bag was torn. Did not have a replacement for either handy sorry Sad. TNLN .. SL .. TFTC.

Checked the cache this morning. Still safe and sound, and not a bullant in sight. Sorry you didn't find it dogabert1. If you read the clues carefully WP1 will fall into place very easily, and hence to exact coords of the cache. Don't be put off by others who had trouble @ WP1

I skipped WP1 like many of my fellow cachers and used the hint
to find GZ. Searched all area around GZ but did not find the cache.
Will wait and watch the logs before trying again.

We had tried to nab this one earlier this year but it appears that it might have been 'out-for-lunch' then. Down here for some R&R this weekend and a trip to town for supplies in the offing, I stopped by again today, gathered the clues and had the stash in hand very quickly at 16:00.

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks GetOutdoorsOz.

Found @ 2.40pm, #390.
At wp.1 the GPS was pointing to the middle of the road and with lots of muggles sitting around drinking coffee's watching us, we couldn't work out what the numbers were, so we threw that out the window, had a look at the hint, went for a drive, found a likely spot and soon had a hold of the cache.

16-Jun-10
Took a guess of the final co-ords. Had several ideas and possible locations and one turned out to be a winner.
Got this one by throwing numbers at it as WP1 didn’t jump out at me and is ambiguous – so I made an educated guess (cheated) and came up with possibles.
Quick grab between muggles.

14-Jun-10
I think I took a lucky guess at WP1. All those years of cryptic crooswords had done the trick.
Sure enough the cahce at GZ matched the description.
An interesting cache despite the bullant bite at GZ.
Thanks

Sorry for the delay in gettting this back together. Shortly after it was diabled my computer fried and since then I have not been able to get the IT working , the CPU wouldn't talk to GC.com, nor GSAK nor my GPSr.
Going forward I hope all is well.
The cache is back in its oringianl postion, the bullants have been delt with, don't eat the grain of sand they are poison, and i have double check the cords which still match my yellow brick.
Hope you enjoy.

Oops, logbook says 3rd at 11.35 am. Actually 4th at 12.35 pm, forgot to turn on the watch date (after a 30 days month) and time (after daylight saving of course - Doh!). Shows the excitement of finding it after the incredible frustration of seeing a new cache 2.7 kms from home coordinates while in the caravan 100s of kms from home coordinates in Outback Queensland. Better weather though!! Anyway, it is doubtful whether we would have had a FTF, that would have happened only if the email had been picked up straight away (timed at 6.46 pm), we aren't given to chasing the usual suspects in the dark!! After a look yesterday morning (Saturday) when it was as busy as this delightful village gets, we decided to come back this morning. Forgot that on a lovely day like today the cafes would be in full swing. We probably found the pillar but were too shy to spend a lot of time scratching our heads at it so - confession time - we used our local knowledge. To make up for that, we did a bit of 'Trash Out' (who are these low-lives who think it's OK to leave their cans and bottles in a place like this?) and cache maintainence. Unbelievably, we have never actually looked at that before, so very many thanks, GetoutdoorsOz (we do!), for the history lesson, we look forward to the series. No swooping bird or bullants today. TNLNSL Going twice provided the bonus of brunch yesterday and coffee and bikkies today, best place to live, this Mount Eliza!

Having known through a friend the occupation of the cache owner, we quickly cottoned on to where wpt1 was going to be. Here we successfully retreived AB but we were stumped as to what C might be referring to. After a bit of a drive round we came back to wpt1 and had a think about the cache notes. After a while we realised that we could narrow the cache circle down quite a bit and so on our 2nd try we found the cache. There were happily no bullants around but being spring we had a bird swooping down on us all the time. We supposed she was guarding her nest, so we signed the log and made no exchanges.
Thanks for a great first cache, GetOutdoorsQz.

I noticed this on the night it was published. I had just arrived at a friends place and about to go out for the night. I considered taking a detour to grab this but decided not to. Luckily I did not since the needed formula was not on the cache page yet! (poor rigger missing out on the FTF) Today I had a loan car while my car was being serviced so I took a look at what caches I could grab in the area. Also after watching "Find Me" the movie yesterday I just had to do some caching. Arrived at wp1 and got the needed numbers, looked at my PDA to complete the puzzle to notice the formula was not in the description. Luckily my geocaching system also saves a raw HTML of the cache and I could get formula out of the WP data. Found GZ with few muggles around at 7:45am. Grabbed the pills after tackling the child proof seal and signed the log. Riggers path-tag is still in there. TFTC

13-Sep-09
Like one of the previous cachers, we were unable to figure out the clues at the first WP but been locals and looking at the simularity between the coordinates we were quickly able to narrow down and locate the final position of the cache. While attempting to get the cache out of the hide, I was bitten on the hand by a bull ant then shortly after a swarm appeard where the cache was located, so just be careful when trying to retrieve the cache as it also seems to be home to the family of bull ants!!! Like others the first time I came past here it was packed with muggles, and I didn't understand what I was looking for. We went home and carefully re-read the cache description. That gave us another idea, and we returned today to try it out.
I then was quite straight forward, and the cache was ours soon after.
Thanks, Robmc.

Like previous finders I struggled to find the relevent info at Wpt 1 and there is only so long a person can stand around scratching his head while holding a GPS at 2pm in the afternoon on a busy shopping strip!!! I retreated back to my car, studied the co-ords for GZ, narrowed down the possibilites and found a likely GZ in the 2nd location I looked. Parked the car and had the cache in my hands a short time after @ 1420. It was a slightly more challenging multi than the owner intended no doubt but I enjoyed the challenge just the same.

Find number 150 !! After having a quick stop past WP1 the day before, I didn't see any obvious answers to the questions, so tonight I had time to get out and have a good look. Once I had clued onto the jist of things, I had coords to GZ and headed off. A quick search and the cache was in hand. Found at 11:50 pm, a good time for this particular cache as this area can get quite busy during the day. Signed log. TFTC.
