Good view down the GWH. Smudged initials on the wet log. Drained out the box and put it back the best I could to try to keep it dry. TFTC dudfinder

Grey overcast afternoon skies dont stop one geocaching! Another find in mid Mountains today. Nice evening view of westbound traffic.Cache is soaked with water, perhaps leaky? Many items too damaged, although one of 2 logbooks still writable. Photo sent to CO (even if their profile say not active for six years).

19-Apr-23
Having made some finds on the south side of the highway I was now heading back to the Big Smoke and grabbing a few on the north side.
I've never taken any notice of this rest area along the way.

Well except for the noise this is a great spot to stop - lovely outlook and lots of birds, plus you can let your dog off lead on the grassed area here.

I hiked off and found myself getting closer, but not close enough so I tried another route. The co-ordinates were spot on and there was the cache!
Interesting view near by!

Thank you what an adventure to find!
Unfortunately, although the box was sealed, water has gotten in and everything is quite wet, paper too wet to write on

14-Aug-21
Full of water

13-Jul-21
Unfortunately I found this out in the open, with the lid off and therefore the log was absolutely saturated and un-signable. I put it back in its hidey hole and covered it with SPOR. Thanks for the hide. TFTC

Cache is waterlogged. Had to do some bush bashing to get to this one.....wear sneakers!! Not on road or on obvious track. TFTC!!

15-Nov-20
Found the cache on a hot morning when driving past. No creepy crawlies thankfully, but cache in need of maintenance as soaking wet. Need to walk around to find the best access route in - the way in chosen was a lot harder than the way out. Long pants were not a bad idea. TFTC.

06-Sep-20
Found with youngest son. Cache waterlogged with all contents and logbooks soaking and unusable. Emptied water but wont belp much.
The last pages were going slimy but I turned to the first and saw a bit of local history - Team Canary's very first FTF!

Thanks for the cache It was very hard to find so it was so much fun even though the pile of rocks kind of made it obvious that it was there. I TNLNSL

04-Sep-19
Still very wet inside. But logbook is OK in its zip-lock bag. It's a tougher task coming from the southern (Woodford) end!

15-Jun-19
Looking for a few caches was on the program with ilook4geo. We found the right hiding place after widening our original search area. The cache is well protected but was still somewhat wet inside. Signed the log with both names and wandered back down to the geo vehicle and the next cache waiting to be found nearby. Thank you to dudfinder for placing this cache, but a maintenance visit by the CO would be good.

15-Jun-19
Out for a bit of caching in the mountains, along with goingplaces2. No problem in finding this cache after a fair look around. Log was signed and replaced as found and we were off and away again. TFTC.

19-May-19
A quick stop on the way down the hill, a bit of a walk into the bush and a nice easy find.

27-Apr-19
Found after a short scramble. Similar to last finder, we found it to be full of water which we drained off. Dried it out as much as possible, noting a few items are rusty. Probably time for a new container!!

16-Apr-19
Eventually found the way to this one. It's a good hide, but the container was full of water (although I couldn't understand why). The log was largely saved by the ziplock bag so I signed and replaced after draining the water. TFTC.

22-Aug-18
Find pretty quick. Getting back on highway could be a different story
Thanks for the cache

Found, cache had a little water in it

05-May-18
This has been on my to-do list for a long time. Heading home from Blackheath with WaywardWoman today we pulled in to Bulls Camp. There area was very busy being a Saturday but no one out this side. Walked too far along the old road and as a steep bush bash up the hill was not for my knees we headed back to the start. There we saw a faint trail up the slope - much more dodgy knee friendly. A short walk and search and soon found the cache. Container was full of water! Tipped it out and found one log that was mostly dry and signed it but container is obviously leaking and needs maintenance. TFTC

05-May-18
Cache container was full of water. One log book is mostly dry but container is letting in water and might want replacing.

11-Feb-18
Found. Take note of location when choosing a trail. We had to do a bit if bush bashing to get to right level. The walk back fitted the rating much better . TFTC

10-Jan-18
First find of the day with my geobrother.

29-Dec-17
This cache location reminded me of one near Mt Victoria. As we did then, oldmorty and I started the search on the wrong level. Realising our error, we scrambled up the embankment to find a very strange scene - a dining room chair and a white feather hanging from a tree in front of the chair. I turned around to proceed with the search when I almost trod on the biggest Blue Tongued Lizard I have ever seen. Giving the lizard a wide berth, oldmorty and I proceeded to GZ. After a short search oldmorty found the cache. We emptied the container of water and replaced the full, wet log book. TFTC dudfinder

29-Dec-17
Out with frazeydaze on a mornings caching around Woodford. After parking near the toilet block we headed off towards gz. Unfortunately we missed the geo trail at the end /beginning of the formed roadway and had to scramble up the embankment. On the way to GZ frazeydaze was scared by a very large blue tongue lizard but she was rewarded with the cache. Fortunately we found an easier way out. TFTC.

Tftc - found this late last year but obviously failed to log it. Sorry for the late log

Streak Day #1487 - After hanging out with contactpete and spy79 for a spot of caching in the Blue Mountains, on our way home we stopped by this one as it struck midnight so we made our find for the day. Fairly quick find on a 6 degrees morning that felt like -6 lol. TFTC

03-Jun-17
There is always two ways to get to a cache. The correct way and Swampgecko's way...... my way is always the wrong way. Cache and logbook are wet.

16-Apr-17
I managed to pull in right near GZ in the little hidden driveway so I was soon at the cache, signed and replaced.

To escape the Sydney heat, my new hiking/geocache friend and I decided to head up to the Blue Mountains assuming temperatures would be lower.

After walking a beautiful trail it was time to drive back to Sydney, and on the way down we passed Bull's Camp, hiding two caches. I wanted to push on, but my companion urged me to stop.

As we got out of the car, we first found the King of Turtles, after which walked over to the next cache. Surprised to see the remains of an old road, and my first idea was to search behind the crash barriers. But my GPS showed there was still more ground to cover to GZ. So uphill it went. Cache was found in good order with a nice view over the motorway.

Thanks for the cache, dudfinder!

Tftc. Nice spot

02-Nov-16
Headed up to the Blue Mountains today on a maintenance visit to our aircraft Route Surveillance Radar installation at Mount Boyce (near Blackheath). Left home nice & early (at 5:25 am) to beat the Sydney peak hour traffic madness, and also to allow for plenty of caching time along the way. This was the 24th of 26 finds ( plus 2 DNF’s) for the day.

Pulled off the highway and parked the geomobile on the dirt area, then headed up toward GZ. It was interesting to see remnants of the old road at this spot, albeit being covered in dumped vegetation & rubbish.

Clambered up the scrub covered slope and soon arrived at GZ, and made a quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. It's a good view down to the highway from up there. TFTC dudfinder.

As others have said, getting back from the cache was a lot easier than going to find it, but that's all part of the adventure. I don't mind a bit of bush-bashing if it's only really weaving a way between trees and avoiding thickets.

Once in the right locality I spotted the hiding place pretty quickly. The log was signed and then I noticed that my little stash of signature small wire dogs had somehow fallen off my lanyard, probably while I was making agile movements in the undergrowth on the way to the cache. So no little dog for this container, alas. Fortunately, I had brought more but they were in the car, so they would have to go into other caches.

Close to GZ someone has left a nice wooden chair. It certainly looks out of place in the bush, but could be a nice spot to contemplate life and the universe. The answer, by the way, is 42. The way back to the car was a cinch.

07-Jul-16
So we found the easier path on the way back, much easier than the bush bash. Didn't love the last 40m but Geokid was happy to find this herself. TFTC

Enjoyed finding this cache, not too far from the camp ground which made it a convenient place to stop for the kids.

Last find for the weekend, on the way from the Geocaching NSW Bathurst Invasion event. Pulled in to use the amenities as the next opportunity was going to be almost at home at Hornsby, then went for a stroll to look for the cache. iPhone led me in circles a bit at GZ but once I used my cache sense the camo was quickly spotted. So that was 28 for the weekend, by no means a record but still a nice time out. Left the one at the other end of the rest area for the next trip. Thanks dudfinder.

#605 stopped in Bull's camp and took a walk up here walked around the bottom till I realised the best entry point was back where I started. Followed the GPSr till it came to the cache. The cache is went inside & I poured out the water. Dried it out a bit. The book is a bit damp but signed the log and replaced. Thanks for the cache

We were on a road trip to a cache near Oberon as we are working on a Newcastle Challenge cache that requires you to have found 15 Australian caches published by 15 different reviewers that involved drivng along the Bylong Valley Way, to Oberon and over the Mountains and back home via the M1 travelling roughly 800km and 36 caches.

We walked in the hard way but located a much easier way on the way out!

We received a message from chippyroo to see if we wanted to travel for the day and grab caches somewhere we haven't been before, Today we found many caches and travel over 800kms for the day to do so. TFTC.

After having found the nearby turtle, we took a walk to find this one. As usual we took a harder way in to the cache, but found an easier way down when going back.

17-May-14
After attending the Autumn event needed to get a couple of caches on the way down the mountain. The container will need a new log very soon as it only has a couple of pages left. TFTC
