Well that was a lesson in reading headstones properly!

21-Oct-24
A mission to find as the gps was certainly skywards - we also found my great great great granddad here - William Lintott

04-Feb-24
Thanks

26-Jan-24
Couldn't find the cache at the original placement as it's really overgrown. Widened the search. Found it in a much easier spot. Left it there covered with sticks and bark. Removed broken pencil, rusty sharpener, the old log book which was full and replaced with waterproof paper. Pen now needed. The coords bounce around a lot here so use your geosense!

26-Dec-23
Puzzled with Lisa for right coordinates (in the applicable format!). Then found the cache with the entry very doubtful to me. Anyway found it and tftc!

26-Dec-23
Found with Halibr, nice wee multi, paying attention to the graves. Getting to the cache felt a little bit dodgy, bit of rubbish around and the cache wasn't really covered. Exchanged a coin with a bug. Tftc.

30-Nov-23
I thought that there was a funeral taking place as I approached. No it was pickup time for the local school. All good. thanks

29-Oct-23
Found it!+1 TBI have family down the road and have intended to this cache everytime I visit. Today I committed and did it. Theres definitely a geotrail in direct route to the cache if you know where to look (watch out for the spider webs though!!)In Christchurch for the weekend to attend a wedding. Had a visit with family planned for the Sunday but there was definitely time in between for a few caches. Tried to get a few around my hotel and the airport before my flight back TFTCC&J

29-Oct-23
Today I was going to try and sign off a few more caches between Leeston and Springston. The cache is out in the open but amongst all the trees and shrubs.Cheers for the cache, One-Fang.

04-Aug-23
Found very good exercise.

28-Jul-23
An interesting wander around here. The clear hint led me to the cache nicely. As noted, the log is a bit damp but still usable. TFTC, Biggles.

15-Jul-23
Interesting walk around the cemetery. Quickly located cache. Log is a little damp but was able to sign. TFTMC

23-Apr-23
Needed a multi for a dot day, and to keep my streak alive... I had previously solved this but there was a guy around and didn't want to go in to collect in case it drew attention to the placement... today though, it was all clear, so I jumped in and quickly found it. Thanks!

TFTC Jude_E, and Jude_E for taking it over, the cache was found in good order Very Happy Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 3 today, making this find #3956

08-Apr-23
Got there in the end. Measure twice, cut once!

04-Feb-23
4 February 2023 16:23 TFTC One-Fang for placing this cache, number 12312 for me. Always good to see a well written multi, information easily located, and even in today's scorching heat (30), I soon had the final calculated and in hand.

03-Sep-22
We have decided to do the Monthly Multi Challenge. Today we came for a nice drive to do this one. Never stopped and looked in here before, some interesting head stones. Found the required info then made our way to the cache. Lucky for us no one here today. Mr C made the find and log happily signed. Thanks for this multi One_Fang, and Jude_E.

26-Jun-22
I think I set the dog off for a good 10min while I rummaged around looking for the right tree, happy to find on a lovely day

24-Jun-22
Out for a Matariki caching expedition. First find of the day. Digits quickly sorted, and popped in behind the trees for an instant find. TFTC!

15-Apr-22
We kept going round in circles. The co'ords do not help here

29-Mar-22
Many thanks. No probs with coordinates or the find.

Fun puzzle

The dog over the fence was very noisy this afternoon; TFTC

29-Sep-21
I frequently stop at cemeteries to find the cache they often have hiding nearby. This was a nice easy multi that didn't take too long and the cache was a quick find. I did attract the attention of a very yappy dog over the fence. I probably need to add a steak to my caching kit for such occasions. Thanks One-Fang and Jude_E. Your cache is in good condition.

13-Apr-21
Quick diversion off the main route to grab this one which I also missed 18 months ago when at the shop. All good getting the detail and soon had the cache in hand.

With my meetings and interactions completed I got into some caching attire and headed out before I lost light for the evening. Another few caches and some roads I'd not been down before, or been to for years and nice to enjoy the different scenery, as well as a couple of irate fliers Puzzles.
I have a trip to Christchurch on the cards for Tuesday and back Wednesday and had to leave from Auckland airport good and early and get back in time for Wednesdays rush hour home time traffic, yay. A good time away though with a couple of useful meetings, some nice food and a few caches where time permitted.

22-Feb-21
Quiet stroll along the graves and then hoping to find the cache seeing the last two were DNFs.
However, the cache turned out to be easily found and is in good condition. Yay!

02-Feb-21
Looks like a lot of tree/green may have been cleared since last found. A few people showed up so I abandoned the search early. Will have to come back.

11-Jun-20
Checked cache. Still at original site. No issues.

31-May-20
Visiting in the motor home for the Astro Tour, and noticed a cache nearby. Solved the puzzle and found what I think is GZ. Found a tree that grows a long way out over the cemetery but there has been lots of vegetation cleared and some trees cut down. Suspect that the cache may have been cleared in the process.

26-Feb-19
I had several multis in my sights today but for some reason this was the only one I ended up attempting. I was concentrating on collecting the information when a voice startled me. Phew, I instantly realised it was coming from above ground Wink. A couple of retired locals were visiting the cemetery and we chatted for a while. I could have talked for longer but of course I had places to go, caches to find. Thanks for this one One-Fang.

13-Jan-19
Quick easy find, thanks!

31-Oct-18
Cache was in place, in good order. Area has been tidied since my last visit.

24-Oct-18
Found all we needed.
At newly found coordinates lots of overgrown ivy and a big tree .
Not easy to find a cache here.
Left it for another time and see if we make a mistake with hiding place.

25-Mar-17
Out and about, had a walk around while my coffee cooled to find the info and the cache. TFTC

30-Dec-16
Nice morning run from Lincoln to retrieve this cach, solved the puzzle easily enough and went to the coordinates, no sign of cache so I crouched down to check what I had entered into to coordinates and bingo cache was right next to my foot. Left some pirate treasure for the next person. Thanks for this

23-Nov-16
On a mission to clean up unfound caches in the SW with 2 Wombles, 80ish for the day. Quick easy find having solved the puzzle some time ago. Thanks for the effort that goes into these caches.

23-Nov-16

05-Nov-16
Say there in the car after sweating and working of this great multi.. up turns BCD and he demanded to know the coords I resisted even after eclectic shock treatment, a pumlling on the car bonnet and abuse you just could not imagine.... so I gave in and have him the coords... totally in the wrong direction . We made our escape and the last we saw of him he was knew deep in the stream accross the road . Cheers

After attending the GIFF event nearby it was time to grab a few more on the way home . Bumped into abxt350 at the gate who gave me a nudge in the right direction so nice quick find tftc. Did manage to poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick while bush bashing oh the fun.

05-Jun-16
Where I thought it was last time I looked but it was too dark and I forgot a torch. Happy to find today. Tftc

Peaceful small church yard. Nice easy find, thankyou for taking me there. TFTC Cool

26-Mar-16
A nice simple multi but not so easy to find as it wasnt hidden as the clue suggested, so after looking there first we expanded our search looking for something tricky and came back and found it. We moved it back as the hint suggests. Thanks for the cache Smile

28-Dec-15
Great place to walk around in the early morning. Cache soon in hand, once I was at the right spot! Razz TFTC!!

19-Dec-15
Found by Facitman and Mrs Facit during our Campervan trip around the South Island at 14:27
We took advantage of a quiet car park and some shade to eat a late lunch and while Mrs Facit enjoyed some downtime I wandered across to the cemetery. Such history in these little town cemeteries, the sad part is most of the recent graves were for people who died way too young . Completed the required tasks and soon had the cache found and logged.
Thanks One-Fang

14-Oct-15
Was my first attempt on my own! Maybe I'll try again another time.

03-Oct-15
Great place for a cache, I always checking out old historical cemeteries, and this was one I wasn't aware of despite being an ex-Cantab. TFTC One-Fang, #8151

26-Sep-15
I sorted out the coords for this Multi years ago, but couldn't find the cache at the time.
Back here today, with purdiepurdie & we stopped so that I could have another look. I really enjoy cemetery caches - my muggle friends think that I'm weird stopping at little country cemeteries... but they are so interesting.
Quick find today, thanks for the cache One-Fang.

Nice wasy multi. Love little places like this. Worth a stop on the way to Leeston. Cheers for the cache.

29-Dec-14
Nice little multi. Cleared up some rubbish from GZ. TFTC

21-Nov-14
This cache was a fairly quick find today which I was pleased about. Near the clue gravestones there is another grave for friend's son who was killed in a car accident 10 years ago.

It is August 31 and we were missing our multi cache for the month to get the souvenir. This one has been on our list for awhile now so today was the day. Beautiful, peaceful spot. Thanks for taking us there.

31-Aug-14
Today has been a bit crazy, earlier in the month I managed to knock over most if the required caches for the 7 souvenirs challenge... Somehow a multi, an event, and a letterbox had all missed my checklist! This one ended up being the multi I needed, and it was a life saver. Ever since posting to Burnham a year and a half ago I've kept a multi cache near the main gate for a time when I needed a quick grab. Today was that day. I needed to go and grab that cache close to home to knock over the last required type....alas, DNF. It was NOWHERE to be found. So after dinner I decided to go for the next closest multi... This one.

Stalking through a cemetery alone at night isn't everyone's cup of tea, but as an Anglican Priest I was prepared... Blessed up a little holy water, and away I went. Quickly found the two required resting places. The second one was by good luck rather than skill. It could've taken me some time to work through all the headstones with my iPhone torch.

After a quick scribble on a bit of paper the GPS had me off toward GZ, and once within a few meters it was clear where other finders had been. Ducked in, found the container and completed the challenge for this month. Thanks for an enjoyable night time wander.

I'd gathered the info over a year ago, but had never had the chance to finish it off without looking dodgy. Today was the day. TFTC

19-Feb-14
A great multi. Not too many points and straight forward.

18-Feb-14
This one has been on my radar for a while and finally today I got it. Tftc SL.

08-Jan-14
Found it... We started looking under the wrong tree, (I blame poor coverage...)

29-Dec-13
This one has been on my to do list for ages. I drive past it every Monday in the course of my job and have been a relief organist at the church a few times.
Anyway, on a cold wet drive home from Akaroa we stopped off to do this one. Nice and easy multi and the cache was soon found. However, as Mr B and I emerged from behind the trees a car pulled up just next to us. Goodness only knows what they thought we were up to! Red Face TFTC.

29-Jul-13
Been wanting to do this one for a while but keep getting close when dark so today was the day.

After having such an epic time in Oamaru caching last weekend with sharkiefan, we went out to get some more caching done today. But today we were only going as far as Rolleston and surrounds. An absolutely beautiful day for it!! With the sun shining high, and it being more of shorts and singlet weather than winter!! And nice to be caching in daylight too rather than the usual after work darkness and usually rain lately!

A nice wee short multi. We stopped by for some ice cream to help us complete this one, and very quickly had the final coords too. Nice and easy Smile I am a slow eater though, so sent sharkiefan in to get the cache as I was still eating ice cream, and there were sandfy type things flying at me!! Haha.
Love cemetaries... such sad places, yet so peaceful and contemplative ae.

TFTC!! Smile

28-Jul-13
Not too hard. Tdtc

#2 of 5 today. A nice small cemetery so info in hand quickly and soon had the cache too.

Enjoyed this one. Easy once found it.

05-Jan-13
This has been on our to do list for ages - the kids go to Springston School across the road. Finally today we went and completed the multi and found the cache. Thanks

16-Dec-12
We came up trumps as well with this easy Multi, had to wait for the Over the Fence children muggles to get down from peering over from the other side TFTC

03-Dec-12
Found the initial waypoints without too much trouble. The final involved a bit of grovelling in the undergrowth, and this being a break in a work trip, I wasn't keen to do that.

Had a quick furtive explore and moved on to Lincoln.

08-Nov-12
619 - I was out on my second visit to Lincoln with Pokernet and MacPacMum had joined us there. As we were heading to Leeston we stopped by here for a quick rest. Info was quickly found and we were off to find the final. The terrain rating could go up a little. The final took a wee while to locate but find it we did. Everything was nice and dry so we signed and tucked it back in its resting place. This place gave us time to reflect on our families and how thankful we are that they are ok. TFTC

08-Nov-12
Having a restful afternoon out caching with JustMeG & PokerNet. Always loved wandering around cemeteries as grew up beside one. This one gave us a nice wander around before investigating it's outer reaches. Final was a bit elusive but JustMeG came up trumps.

22-Oct-12
Rain was so cold. Ivy so deep. No one about but we finally admitted defeat. We are sure we were in the right place but we do seem to make a hash of things sometimes.

16-Oct-12
Found the clues easily but couldn't find the cache. I didn't spent very long looking as the staff were opening up the nearby building for the after school care and I didn't feel comfortable lurking around the undergrowth. A friend's son is buried nearby and it was a shock to realise that he has been dead for 8 years.

23-Jun-12
A quick run around on a pretty depressing day. I looked at his lovely wifes' year first of all so GZ looked miles away, so we looked at a likely spot regardless of what my worked out coordinates said. Michelle was knee deep in ivy while I worked out my mistake. Then it was a quick find - we were close anyway Wink TFTC (751)

23-May-12
Nice wee multi. Had to use uber stealth due to after school care programme. TFTC, SL, TNLN.
