12-Sep-10
No luck for me today.

08-Jul-10
We were very close to this cache when the inhabitent of the very nice house of the corner came along.[:(!] He told us that he is retired and an Indian Prayer. We think the muggle has recognized something before (see other log).

08-Jul-10
There was a family fishing a little way off.
But there was certainly plenty of action in the river.
A brief search and the cache was to hand.

Found it on 2nd attempt thanks AmmoTech502, looked at same spot yesterday but huge toad must have been sitting on it. Left pink ball.

03-Apr-10
Looks like a hard one. family fishing 20 meters down stream when we got here so will return another day for a better look.

24-Mar-10
My first atempt at this cache was a few days ago, it was raining, GPS wasn't happy and I had the feeling I was being watched by muggles from behind the windows of the nearest house. So I gave up pretty quick. Back today, sunny morning and the GPS pointed straight to the cache (also the muggle house seemed empty Smile).

Great hide, was a little confused with hint to start then rethought it and had cache in hand in no time. Cache looks like it needs to be replaced soon. TN, L dinosaur. TFTC

What a surprise to find this one disabled as of yesterday. Its still there. Container needs replacing but its not that urgent.
Took a while to find with the river running very fast and high. Tin is in fact made of cardboard and is rather soggy and battered.
Good hide although the closeness of the houses was a bit of a problem. TFTC

Wow, this was a little different view of the river for the 101st find. Not so many mozzies here with the full sun out. GZ was right on the money, cache quickly in hand, signed and replaced. Sides of tin very soft but still seems serviceable.

I found this one on a trip to Townsville for work

My GPSr was all over the place and about 5 meters out the whole trip. It must be something to do with the weather here as it is normally spot on everywhere else that I have been.

The container is soft and a bit rusty on the lid rim

Easy find but cache is showing signs of use. Out GC in Compass button SL TFTC

Found this one using only Google Maps and the description. Some fancy houses down this way. Had to pull out the camera to photograph the river so as not to arouse the suspicion of the fisherwoman nearby. Cache may need some maintenance as the 'tin' is actually cardboard and is getting crushed by people trying to put the lid back on. Nice hide in a good spot. Took two GCs and left one GC. Thanks!

The tin has been squashed as a previous finder has tried to replace lid, this may affect integrity of container.

Took the hint literally and went down the bank to stand at the waters edge. Thought about this for a while and when I repositioned myself for anytime of the day the find was easy. Took a very blue River City Geo Jelly and left a shell. SL TFTC and the mud between my toes.

Wandered in from the nearby road with GPSr and camera in hand, took a seat contemplated likely hides and made a quick recovery, went back to the seat to fill in the log. Made a swap Out: Neck Strap. In: $2Aust.
About to make the replace when the same bunch of tree climbing munchkins that thwarted my previous attempt at a nearby cache take up residence in a tree just along the river. Wait 20 minutes and they show no signs of leaving, take a walk with camera and a ‘spare milo lens’ and sit on the bank to make the replace. Take a coupe of photos to cover my actions.

NOTE TO OWNER: Not sure if the munchkins saw me but the cache made a fair bit of noise as it almost rolled out of the hide, may need to keep an eye on it for the near future.

Well done. The builders on the house close by must have been wondering what I was up too. But a bit of camoflage IE. clipbord and phone in hand did the trick.

Pt. Douglas Trip 09.13. This area is getting very developed. The house overlooking the cache is in the final stages and a few people were fishing along the bank away. Oh well, still a good spot. Thanks.

Still another beautiful area on the river. While the Reluctant Companion relaxed on the seat I went up and down and all around. The views of the mountains around his area
are great so I joined him on the seat watching something large jumping out of the water and then started again. Put on the caching glasses and there it was all the time. Thanks for a good hunt. Left Geocoin took nothing!

Charlie and I are here from Oregon, USA, campiong the east coast in a camper van. Modest houses......riiighhttt! Coords about 15 feet off for us...but we found it....and a 4 inch grasshopper, as well....uuuugghhhh! TFTFun

Well what a great morning. This is my 2nd FTF in one day, and 3rd FTF for one of Ammotech502 caches.
Couldn't have asked for a better start to the day. I saw this come up last night but decided to tackle this one before work. I got to the GZ and felt a little uneasy as there are Muggler houses very close by. A high degree of stealth is required. I looked around the area, and the cache was soon in hand. The coords are spot on. This is a lovely spot great view of Mt Stuart and a great place to sit down and enjoy the scenery. There were heaps of trackables in the cache so I grabbed 3 to move on. When I replaced the cache I stood up and noticed that a neighbour muggler was staring right at me.I pretended to stretch my legs and then sat on the seat minding my own business for a few minutes untill muggler went inside the house.
This is a very pretty spot and recommend future cachers to sit back and enjoy the views.
Thankyou Ammotech502 for another great cache. Look forward to more of yours in the future!! : )
