Archiving this one, but replacing with a slightly different multi in the same area.

No luck in finding initial container
Will try again soon!

No 6 in our AMJC series. This is much more fun than just going around a neighbourhood to find all caches there. There are too many everywhere anyway. We do most of it on MTB and this was an ideal example with a great track. Thanks a lot.

WP1 no worries, however DNF final cache, spent a lot of time searching and was eventually defeated by the setting sun and cutty grass Sad
Will try again another time

The AMJC had me on the shore recently, for my most northerly cache. Today it has me out west for my most westerly cache. I think this is the first time I actually set foot on the Te Atatu Peninsula. Lovely view today over the pond. Water was very flat a a lovely light blue. I was a little concerned that WP1 was going to be tricky as I approached, but I spotted it immediatley. Turns out my GPS can project a waypoint, just not with a great deal of accuracy. Still, I was able to ascertain the correct GZ. Nice use of the parks features by the way. Dropped a TB off. Off to the next AMJC cache!

Great camo! Smaller than I expected.

21-Nov-10
WP1 was a walk in the park, or a walk around the pond, if you prefer.
Navigated my way to the final (after first forgetting to check magnetic or true). Had a quick furtive inspection of the likely object. Found a small green frog and decided to leave him alone.

Decided to do this multi, found WP1 without any issue in the rain, BUT when I got to the final location finding the cache was a bit of an issue, got totally drenched so decided to leave it till next time as hunting i these plants in the rain is definitely NOT a good idea. Will be back.

One of the nicest caches we have had the pleasure to do! For a start the place is beautifull, the cache has a nice little challenge to it, left us wondering "what the?" untill the position unlocked itself & we wandered off to GZ with Lexie the dog tagging along. After Kay found the cache, we got Lexie into the water for a swim, she really loved it, didnt want to come out! All in all a great lttle adventure, thanks!

A nice walk from cache "Harbourview Walkway" to WP1, no problems here, my projection for the final was a bit out (by 10m, ooops) told the dog to search, didn't work. But after a short search, I found it - useless dog!!!!
TNLNSL cheers

what a lovely area: vast views, delightful pond and historic house. Loved this multi & we quickly solved it. PINO TFTC

Quick find while in the area for work. I did disturb a young couple doing what young couples do in a remote part of a Park on a nice day. Im not sure who got the bigger fright when I came around the corner, them or me! Thanks.

Had found the wp many months back, but somehow 'stuffed-up' the project way-point bit and headed off in wrong direction. On this occasion took the opportunity to teach 'Er Outdoors' all about way-point projection theory and of course was suitably chastened to have the error of my ways pointed out with a friendly grin (or was it something more sinister). However away we trooped and soon had the object of our endeavours in hand. Another bit of jigsaw towards the final objective.

This was not to hard but of course we had our helpful guardians YuGeo4, thanks again. TFTC

Spent far too long looking in the wrong place for WP1, had given up and about to head home and spotted it close to where I had been looking....Cache was a lot easier for me to find. Took GC left Blue Dice Bug. TFTC

This was a hard one for me and ishoot to find....but we found it in the end. TFTC Took marble and left a soft toy dolphin.

Nice easy multi-cache... Found WP1 after a bit of temporary blindness, and then we decided to walk rather than swim to the final. TFTC!

Relatively easy finds....good job I checked GE cause I was just about to go wading.....Big Grin...took my first AMJC piece....Smile...TFTC. It was a very hot day to be out in the open, but this is such a great area....its worth it.

On an AMJC mission today. The goal is to complete the series today having only done one 13 days ago.

This was twelveth on the list and was soon done with. This should have been after Arch Hill and before The Waitaks but it got bypassed. It is a great little place.

Out: Geocoin

Cheers for the cache.

Nice spot for a cache. We were under a bit of time pressure here as we wanted to do another cache at Piha that is tide dependent. Ended up spending too long at both WP1 and the final but got there in the end.
Many thanks

Saw half a frog (the back half). Eww!

Took me a while to find the final, I suspect I took down the details from WP1 wrong. I left the area, then walked back without checking my GPS, and found it - only to discover I hadn't walked all the way back (these plants all look the same!)

Another 2 puzzle pieces.

Out on what was supposed to be a 'Ferral' weather day in a vain attempt to keep the Auckland caches under control. Weather was fine for most of the day.

Staight forward. What a nice spot. Picked up a puzzle piece.

Thanks FMZ for your caches.

Cheers TT

Sunny Sunday - Let's get some caches. We love this area of the TAP, but sadly there is so much litter in the water and next to the paths. Anyway. Medium-Quick find of WP1 and then the "Oh no - all the way around"-effect. At GZ, we also realised the we had overlooked the BYO pen warning (though the cache would be big enough). So we "grooved" our names into the page next to YuGeo4's stamp (we have a photo as proof of being there). Maybe someone could make our signature more visible on the next find? Thanks.
Note: When we went away, we saw somebody walking straight towards GZ, but not exactly, and back. He had no GPS visibly with him, so we wondered what he was up to.

Out on an afternoon caching adventure with Kayaknkiwi. Gr8 area for a cache!! WP1 took longer than it should have, but once we got down to business, we were well on our way to the cache. Perfect place for a cache. Thanks for bringing us here. TNLN!

Off for a bit of afternoon caching with Seattle's Best. This was brilliant...took a bit of looking for the first WP, great camo for that one. Off we set for the final. Nice very nice, enjoyed the surroundings and the puzzle aspect too. Now we need to get to the others, let the adventure begin..! Left Coin. Thanks for the adventure on this one! TFTC!

Set out early to get this one sorted before the rest start rolling out. Quick find of WP1 however the final eluded us until we remembered how to correctly used our equipment Red Face. T4TC can't wait for the next in the series.

03-Oct-09
Quick find of the first waypoint, then the dilemma of do I use magnetic or true. About 8m difference even over this short distance. Did both projections and headed off to the final scaring a duck and her family along the way. Had the incorrect projection loaded for a start, but it was obviously wrong so soon switched to the other.

This new jigsaw puzzle series looks like fun. The FTF bonus puzzle piece is an extra incentive to go for the FTF - as if we needed it! We saw this one as it was published, and were on the way soon after. Parked a little further away than we needed, but had a pleasant walk to WP1 with all the city lights across the water. A fairly quick find of the waypoint, and we were off to the final. Had guessed where it was likely to be, and noted the accessway on our way to WP1. A short search later and the FTF was ours at 11.50 pm Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin. This was our 88th FTF - hope that proves lucky for the rest of the series. Really enjoyed this off-set multi - the ideal cache-type for the location. It made for quite an adventure in the dark. Many thanks. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Now for that puzzle cache . . .
