I am heading over in 14 days time. As FTF way back I know exactly where it was and will take a new container to replace. I will report back on return so please hold off archive for a little while just to give me a chance to replace it and give all those geo traveller cahers something to look for in Vanuatu.
Thanks
Ironbark.
Thanks

Such a shame that this cache is not up and running.
As the only cache on Efate, I would have been able to get at least one cache found on my holiday.
Hopefully, this cache will be back up for my next visit!

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
Returning to Australia today and there has been no response from CO to maintenance request. Suggest this cache now be archived .
The last three logs are DNF suggest guardian checks the cache is still there and logs accordingly.
Returned for another search and spent a good hour looking. Found two places that it could have been after reading the logs.
I agree with the posts that this one has been Muggled. Will contact the CO.
Off to Mosso next week for missions work so will check the one over there.

20 mins walk from we're I stay but alas could not find it.
I will return tomorrow for an other try.

we stayed at Paradise cove and what wicked Accomadition the GPS said only 1.2km to cache .me and parnter spent ages and couldnt find it what a shame !! As would of been awesome to get a cache done on holiday and in Vanuatu.
Wilson the taxi man took us to find it today. We searched for an hour and couldn't find it does anyone know where it's gone? Super sad, was very excited to find it!
Found the cache today with Mirox1968. We hiked the whole way from our accomodation in Port Villa to the cache. On the way to the cache we took a wrong turn so that we had to do some bushwhacking to get to it. The cache is in good condition and was a quick find. TFTC!
Well this one was certainly an adventure
We set off from Port Vila in our hire 4WD and was we got closer to GZ, the road kept getting less and less stable Within the last kilometer or so, we hit flood roads, and had a ball getting to this one
A quick find in the end as we pulled up at GZ, and were surprised how well this cache is doing
A great spot indeed, and a great day out

We arrived into the port on the Rahpsody of the Seas and spent the day around town and at Hidden island. I dropped off the family and then asked the Taxi driver to take me to this location after a quick barter we agreed he would take me all the way and back for $30 AUD. (Not bad at all) His eyes lit up when I got out my GPSr and we were off with only an hour to spare before the ship set sail.We arrived at Breakers Resort and I knew we could make it but then the road was flooded but the taxi driver (Wilson) said "no problem we can do it" So on we went with water up high on the car door we arrived at the gate Found the cache safe and dry fast. Wilson was very impressed and said he really enjoyed this hunt and so did I.
With time ticking I completed the paper work found the coin and rntd safe.
Thanks for this little adventure Sir Campbell. And thanks for the help from fellow caches.

NB: The Taxi driver said if you would like him to take you just call him.
Wilson: 5692354 this number works while in town and at the port.Agreed $30.00 for the round trip.He also said he would not tell anyone else.

Great spot bumpy road, it had rained so there were some small lakes to cross on the way. The cab driver was not impressed at all.
Picked up Little Rhody Sea Star, left one of my Pathtags and a cute little duck.

Aboard the RCCL Radiance of the Seas that departed Sydney. What a beautiful place, TFTC. Swapped TB's, our TB is a good ol Rhody Starfish, all the way from the USA.
Having arrived back from Tanna the previous afternoon, this morning we picked up our rental car (well, they muffed it up, and couldn't give us the Suzuki Jimmy we reserved, and we had to settle for a Hyundai Getz), so the first thing we did was drive out to this cache. The road is pretty rough, and probably impassable to 2wds after rain, but we made it all the way there and parked within metres of the cache. Shortly after we arrived, a guy with some kids came out from the camp and as they walked by, he asked if we were looking for the cache . Anyway, it was a pretty quick search to find this cache, and we dropped off a "Be Happy" TB - it seemed appropriate to drop it in the happiest country on the planet. After rehiding the cache we took a few photos of the beach and then headed back into town, stopping at Breakas for an icecream. TFTC!!!
Negotiated a good rate of $30AUD with a dodgey looking taxi driver in an equally dodgey looking taxi van. (He wanted $60) but a local european lady who was listening in said to us not to offer him a cent more than $30.00. Found the cache no problem then made the fatal mistake of accepting his offer to take us to a lookout to see the ship on the way back. That gave him the opening to bump the price up which he did in spades!!!!!!! He is still probably drinking the proceeds in kava!!! Arrr well all part of the fun and we certainly could not have walked there and back and made the ship before departure. TFTC
We couldn't stay at Breaka's without looking for this cache. It's a nice walk and didn't take too long. The local people have always been so friendly while we have been in Vanuatu and it was no different while we were on our walk. TFTC TNLN
Arrived at the International Port on the Rhapsody of the Seas in very inclement weather indeed but managed to get out here after an afternoon's snorkelling. Very muddy and sodden when we returned to the ship.
Found @ 10:15
It was only natural that after we booked a trip to Vanuatu, I had to plan a cache while visiting. This is our second last day in this beautiful country.
We hired a small car for the day to do a loop around and head straight here. We parked at Breakas then started walking but within 5 mins an empty bus came by so we grabbed a lift almost there, until honeymoon beach. From there we walked the last couple hundred metres since it was so muddy to make an easy find. YAY!
Thankfully the bus driver waited and gave us a lift back for a cost of 1000 vary in total for 2 of us!
TFTC, my only here in Vanuatu

After going for a surf at pango decided to go for a walk and find our second overseas cache. Nice walk met a very freindly local who told us about the place and where he lived. Saddly time in vanuatu has finished had a loverly time but back to cacheing in New Zealand.
No taxi ride for us. We (wandercat and ajbenn) walked! Had to beat off the local dogs one of which sampled my ankle! Heavy rain earlier in the week (42mm in an hour)left road side to road side puddles to be avoided. Enjoyed the walk and instead of returning to Breakas where we were staying we took a left hand fork in the road and ended up at fabulous Paradise Cove. We were to return there several times as it provided excellent food and out of the wind snorkeling plus kayaking (5oo Vat per kayak)
A pleasant walk but challenging in places since heavy rain had filled the pot holes from fence line to fence line. Nimble footwork needed when vehicles also avoiding potholes and water. Rewarded with lunch at the Paradise Resort on the way back to Breakas. Good place to hide it, but left it less visible in the same spot to avoid mugglers.
Made it! Terrible road and a very game taxi driver. Visited with GJWHF yesterday 23.7.11. TFTC
Quite a road, to get here. Taxi driver Joe drove us all round the island, and out here too. Visited with JABP. Picked up TBAU4HHC. TFTC

Easy find. Lovely manager from Kaiviti motel drove us and learned about geocaching took germany TB and left BTM TB. Accompanied by the mellisons TFTC
A great cache for our 4000th .
Rented a 4WD in Vila, though could have probably got here in a 2WD apart from the last 200m (especially if it was a rental!). Sunset beach looked wonderful, though wasn't prepared to pay the entry fee as had a big day ahead of us traversing the island.
Noted the cache lid is cracked, and the rainy season is starting, maybe time for a new container, or if the next cacher could replace even better.....
TFTC, it will always be a memorable one.

How exciting! A cache in Vanuatu! Mrs Gaztek here. Visiting Port Vila for work with a muggle colleague in tow. Are you up for an adventure, JM?? He was willing so off we went. Love the bus system! Just vans with B on the license plate. Flag one down and about 150VT for short trips. We asked for Pango Village and the IDC camp and they took us there - no questions asked. It helped that there was a sign for the IDC camp when we reached the unsealed road. For us the unsealed portion was a better road than the sealed bit so perhaps there has been some recent grading? The bus let us out at Honeymoon Beach which is lovely and went down the road to turn around - so did we because that's where Skripja Yunyon is. We asked the driver to wait for a short time. And he did --- right next to GZ!! But he had a few buddies with him so while I went in for the find, JM got right into the spirit and took pictures all around including me tying my shoelaces! Not sure I've converted JM but at least he had an unexpectedly interesting Sunday afternoon before our work started. T the Tiger TB and left a DogTag TB SL It's great to be travelling for work and have a side goal so TFTC! Cheers...........Gaztek
