There have been too many DNFs so I expect this one has gone. I will visit asap and replace if possible

13-Oct-12
There's a sign saying bush regeneration volunteers meet every Friday at 0800 and the first Saturday of each month at ... ~1000 I think. This cache may be gone.

13-Oct-12
Saw a pair of boys in red searching in the undergrowth, so walked on and doubled back later.

Obvious piece of concrete was out of place, but no cache.
Did see ducks being aggressive, ducklings being taught to chase other ducks, and a small grey mynah fledgling peeping incessantly on the ground.

12-Oct-12
All around it but didn't find it. Pond has baby ducks at the moment.

15-Sep-12
Believe I found the rock and the tree, and what can only be described as an out of place slab of cement/rock (camo cover?) But no cache. Beautiful spot, wish I had have read the logs before the long walk. Ah well.

11-Sep-12
Found spot but no cache

08-Jul-12
Found obvious spot but nothing in its hiding spot

07-Jul-12
Found GZ and the tree, rock and seat. Upon approach found a sure sign of where the cache should be but upon inspection I couldn't find any container. Maybe it's me or maybe someone else had come across it.

# 50 for me. Yay. Took a while since there were too many muggles around enjoying beautiful sydney autumn day but got it in the end.
Like other fellow catchers I had no idea what that tree was.

While over here on a little flying visit from Perth, we decided to scout this one out. Walking from the previous trumper cache. As we approached the GZ Chil spied the cache as she was taken a pic of this very pretty place. SL TFTC.

A fav from us for the beauty of the place in a huge city.

A nice cache, found eventually but had no idea what that tree looked like. Took compass rose geocoin to take back to the uk next week. Enjoyed a walk through Trumper park from the other cache, a beautiful green oasis.

27-Mar-12
Third attempt at this one. First time geokids fell in the water. Second time there were dogs everywhere. This time there was nobody around. Had to search a lot as the hint didn't help as i can't tell between a rose Bush and a maple tree. Once i sat facing North i was then was able to make the find. Tftc. A lovely location.

After finding the other blossom* cache here we ventured further into the park and found the lovely area containing this one.
The pond is situated in the most beautiful location featuring sandstone cliffs, a variety of trees, ground cover and of course the affectionate ducks.
We did need to look in a few spots before we found it, and it was in great condition.
Thanks very much for your contribution to our stay in Sydney blossom* and I hereby bequeath another fav point on this great cache.

Nice little spot. Easy find

15-Mar-12
TN left mica from my hometown of Golden, CO, USA. Had a bit of a hard time finding the trail after leaving the oval, however after a bit of scouting around was on the right path. Nice little pond. Duck had me picked for a nice person with a free lunch...boy was he wrong. I even left my water bottle back in the hotel room. So I told him/her that the next person might bring him some snacks....

18-Feb-12
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon when I attempted this cache. When I arrived at the pond there were kids playing near the water and Mums sitting on the seat having a chat.
Why wouldn't you, this is a great spot for a cache.
I walked up the hill, did some grocery shopping, then passed by GZ a second time, but it was still occupied.
Another day maybe, when I'm back in Sydney. Thanks blossom for bringing me here.

Walked here from the nearby 'Trumper Park' cache. Lovely location!! The ducks came swimming over when we got there, though they soon worked out we didn't have anything to feed them. Cache located by my boyfriend yet again - on a roll for the day! Lots of ants and ant eggs on top of the cache (the container obviously was a nice warm spot for them to settle!) ...but still managed to get the lid off, sign the log and replace the cache without too much hassle. TFTC blossom* ^_^

Our first find in Australia. So exciting,

Found it on New Years Day while the muggles of Sydney were still sleeping off their NYE hangovers. So many spiders!!! So much cache trash! TFTC

Lotta rocks and lotta trees but worth the search. Thanks

My first cache after I stood out of the emergency department where I had been secluded for a few days. What à better cure than to go outside to this enchanting park And to find some caches to cheer the spirit up! Ha! TFTC

Second cache of this really nice park, i like the bush style, there were 8 baby ducks and their mothers in pond, really funny sebas loved them. Tftc

30-Oct-11
This was part of Trumper Park we had not been to. It is so worth the visit. We saw cute duckilings and turtles and lots of nice dogs. If you read the clue, you'll find it, though it did take us a while. Lord Dudly pub is nearby and is quite cool.

24-Oct-11
I was thwarted last week by the muggle sitting right at GZ. Today I made my way back in plus 30 degree heat. No-one else was silly enough to take a lunchtime stroll so I had the whole place to myself. It really is amazing to find such a place in the middle of the eastern suburbs. I even saw much more than I intended as I took the wrong path and ended up above GZ near the tennis courts. Is this the original Edge of the Cliff? When I finally got there I didn't need the GPS thanks to the hint. Thanks for a great cache.

23-Oct-11
#334 Walked from the other Trumper Park cache. What a lovely reserve! There were so many ducks in the pond. One even has 8 or 9 ducklings trailing her. A lady fed them with bread. She quickly sped off after doing so. Someone's dog tried to chase the ducks. Good thing they can fly. It was nice seeing all these in a small pocket of greenery in Sydney. Thanks for taking me here. TFTC!

23-Oct-11
Now the car GPS told me it was about 2km from where I parked for Trumper Park to this one. I didn't believe it and drove down to one of the lower level streets and walked. We all need to walk more so I have delegated that to other members of the team.

A nice stroll from where I parked to GZ. This area is amazing. Who would believe this park exists in the middle of so much full on high density stuff.

I must have been following Mahout around all this area. Thanks Blossom, a hidden gem.

19-Oct-11
Walked over from the other Trumper cache, I still can't believe I was in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney...Thanks for showing me this.

Wow, what a location! I would say one of the most beatiful places in the city...
It took me a while, because at the first try, there were two mothers with their kids, having a picknick next to the cache. But when I returned, I could find the cache very quickly. So I took the cache and sat down on a bench. Meanwhile a man arrived. He sat down on the bench infront of me, so I couldn't replace the cache for almost 45 min.! It was after sunset and I was eaten up by lots of moskitos. Anyway, I really enjoyed the whole trip! Thanx for that expirience!

Not what I expected to find in the middle of this area. The pond was a great spot and there were quite a few birds hanging around.

Cache was an easy find before I hung around to take a few photos before moving on.

Sorry Blossom, we didn't find it. GPS wouldn't settle within the trees, so using the clue tried to find it but didn't. Three possible locations, but didn't turn up anything, except a plaque on one of the rocks. Lots of groundwork happening north of the pond stablising the hill, so we didn't want to go up there. I'm not very good at bush caches, so I didn't expect to find it anyway. Lovely pond. Geokid fell in. Tfth. Cheers.

Almost a DNF. Cache was not where hint suggested so was returned to obvious place.
What a wonderful spot so close to a CBD. Very inquisitive ducks - thought I was there to feed them.

23-Aug-11
Well not so much a DNF as CNL (Could Not Look). I got to GZ with no problem, could see exactly where the ca he is, but the 3 old ladies on the bench were not going to leave any time soon, in fact they started getting their lunch ready and out came the thermos bottles and the necessary fixings for the salads etc..
Since I was on a tight schedule to get back to Central to get my train back to Lithgow i could not wait.
Sorry but that was probably my one and only try as I don't think I will be back this way.
Not to worry I still enjoyed the pond!

20-Aug-11
Didn't take too long to find, lovely pond. Thanks!

Found the cache, a nice easy find.
As we were signing the log a man came riding past, poor guy instantly knew what we were doing, as he was coming to find the cache as well Sad. Apologies again if you see this.
Found "The Travel Turtle" travelbug, left nothing. Thanks for the cache.

After finishing work early again today, I wandered off caching once more. I did a lot of walking today and this cache was surely on my list. After following the roads into the area for a while, I eventually found a path that seemed to head in the right direction. Arriving at GZ, I was unhappy to find two elderly ladies sitting on a bench seat nearby. I grabbed a seat on another bench and watched the ducks swim around on the green pond. After a while, the ladies left and I made a very easy find in an obvous spot.

Thanks for showing me this peaceful park, and thanks for the cache blossom*

Cheers Cool

Rainy afternoon, nice spot by the pond. Great little urban oasis. Found this before wandering over to the SFS for the ANZAC Day footy. TFTC Blossom

Nice little secluded pond, would not have guessed this area existed right in the middle of the city. TFTC.

Seeing as though both caches in this park are less than 5km from home thought it was time to go get them.
Few muggles around as it was raining. got a few good pics of the ducks too.

With a meeting south of town later this morning, it was time for a quick couple of caches (fingers crossed) before the start of proceedings. This one was first, however it took me ages to find the way to GZ Surprised. Once I finally got there, time was short so I quickly had a look at the hint Red Face and soon after had the stash in hand at 07:10 (no foolin' Wink).

What a beautiful little spot Big Grin.

TNLNSL, although our licence geocoin had a visit to mark our first find of April. Thanks blossom*.

PS: There was no sign of the Save the Nature Geocoin - Polished Silver geocoin in the cache.

poor GPS reception.
I looked at the hint, but maybe I should do some research on trees (and their names)

Today's programme was so tight that I barely had time for a couple of caches Sad The park was quite empty (something a geocacher always respects in such a big city Smile) and I enjoyed a stroll there. When I arrived at the cache there was a guy talking on the phone but after he left this was a quick one. I left a GC (Finnish Flag Micro Geocoin). TFTC!

Found this on second try ( due to batteries) thanks for bringing me back
Lovely spot

05-Feb-11
There was a spider guarding the way to the cache, but fortunately there was another way around and I didn't have to bother the spider. Also, be warned that the green carpet near the cache is, in fact, a pond. I almost walked into it! TFTC

We didnt know this oasis existed in the eastern suburbs, so it was a pleasant stroll through the parkland today to retrieve the cache. Found the GZ fine and were curiously watched on by a magpie and its fledgling. Thanks for taking us here TFTC Smile

29-Dec-10
It was a beautiful sunny day when I went for a walk through the park. the gps did play up because of the tree coverage but nwith the aid of the description and the clue I managed to find this cache. It was lovely just sitting nearby watching a couple of ducks playing in the pond.

Smile A welcome end to a series of DNFs. Several dog-walking muggles to avoid. Love these Urban Jungle parks in sydney! The ducks were struggling a bit in a pond of green weed and a couple of huge, noisy, juvenile Magpies were demanding to be fed. Dropped off a couple of TBs.Thanks for bringing me here.

22-Dec-10
spotted the stash, but also spotted an approaching muggle. we quickly tried to cover up our suspicious behavior (crawling over rocks, pulling up leaf cover and such like) but the damage was done. Luckily it turned out to be
a fellow geocacher.

Had a muggle sitting at GZ for about 10 minutes, and as I pulled up a new cache and started to head off - she left. I guess being circled by 10 minutes by someone staring intently at his gadget must have done the trick. Can't say I minded being kept there - it's a very pretty place.

The GPS signal was very bad so I resorted to the clue - which got me there. TFTC

Find # 1613 @ 09:15
Nice and quiet this morning, that was until I got to gz where walkers seem to come out of nowhere. When there was a break in the proceedings, I had a quick look where I thought it might be and it was. Several others came and went as I signed the log and after I replaced it I became a muggle myself and continued the walk to Trumper Park cache. TNLNSL Thanks blossom*

17-Nov-10
I found it harder to reach GZ then I expected because, instead of remaining inside Trumper Park after logging the cache of the same name, I wandered out into the Paddington streets for a poorly-reasoned 'short cut' of some kind. However, getting entry back into Trumper Park took some doing because of all the adjacent buildings, but at least I had an enjoyable tour of the local streets and expensive real estate. When I finally discovered a little entrance, I was at GZ and the pond in seconds, and very quickly found the little black box.

A gentleman arrived to eat his lunch nearby but I continued with my cache logging duties at a convenient bench, and then surreptitiously replaced the container when I saw that he had his nose in his sandwich.

Published coordinates were very accurate. Cache container and contents were fine. TNLNSL.

The pond is indeed very, very green! And I enjoyed all the ducks! Several times I thought someone had jumped into the pond, because of the loud splashing, but it was only more ducks arriving or departing. Very entertaining!

Many thanks again to blossom* for putting this one in place. Trumper Park is a nice spot to visit and Paddo is never dull.

This is a brilliant spot. What a great location. The green stuff on the pond (is it algae) makes it look very nice, and today it was enhanced by lots of little ducklings swimming with their mummy. It seems to be a popular spot for duck feeders. I took Mr Osbourne with me and will move him somewhere suitable in Melbourne. Thanks blossom.

01-Oct-10
There were heaps of council muggles around today so I walked past the first 'Trumper Park' cache and went in search of the pond.

Some ducks and ducklings were swimming around the pond in the green stuff. (I will have to post a photo when I get back to QLD).

More muggles at the pond but they were eventually bored of the ducks and left.

After a quick search the cache was found.

TFTC. I left an Ozzie Ozbourne trackable item and took the piggy geocoin.

While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling lizards scurried on in.

Just dropping off little "Ozzie". This is as good a place as any to start his journey.
