No luck. The lamp post has just been replaced, wonder if this matters? Will watch this one to see if I need to come back.

Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.
Mallorcatommy and I were on our journey through the southern island of New Zealand. With the help of geocaches we came to so many beautiful places, saw breath-taking landscapes and had, all in all a very wonderful journey! Thank you to all owners for placing all those nice geocaches!
Really easy find, spotted while driving up the road!! Seen these before. TFTC
Quick find heading south. Tftc

Whey-hey thanks for the hint, I have looked soooo many times for this one, and it was there each and every time.
I drive passed this one every day, unfortunately I have not been able to find this one. I cannot see I in the blue gums or on the lamp posts. Any ideas please?
Out for a quiet Sunday drive/caching trip. With the sun shining we couldn't have wished for better weather.
Mission for the day is to attack some caches in the Pareora Gorge and head to Fairlie for lunch and ice cream.
First stop of the day was just outside town and a place we drive past every week. We understand what you mean about the lights.

We were fooled into thinking that we wouldn't find the cache when finally, our mojo kicked in and we found the sneaky hiding spot. TFTC!
Found immediately, since I was still thinking about a dnf in Oamaru.
I'm sure all those lights are necessary....

TFTC SL - What a beauty !! I love this sort of cache. Didn't take too long & got the goods !!
Spent the day geocaching on the drive from Christchurch to Dunedin. Resulted in 156 finds. Quick find. Signed log. TFTC!
This one turned out to be a bit of a park and grab as on approach to GZ we had seen similar so drove and parked next to it and confirmed what we thought was the camo so opened the window, grabbed the cache, completed the signing duties, re hid and drove off. TFTC

Holidaying in the South Island, grabbing a few caches on the way. Easy find. Thanks for the cache.
We are staying at Rakaia Gorge this week, and we decided to spend a day travelling south so we could complete 2 Auckland challenge caches. For the 'So Far Away Challenge' we needed to find 10 caches that are 1000km or more from home. And for our Full Geocaching Licence we needed to find 50 caches in a day that are at least 1km apart. We have also been wanting to visit Moeraki Boulders (which also happens to be 1001 kms from home), so we had to time our trip around the tides. The 8.30am low tide meant we had to leave very early to travel 220kms from Rakaia Gorge to Moeraki , then find at least 10 caches further south before caching our way back north.
We had a very enjoyable day exploring further south than we have travelled before, clocking up close to 500kms, finding 69 caches along the way, and achieving both the challenge cache goals we had set.
Daylight still when we arrived here so no city lights on and a quick find. It is always nice when driving at night to know major intersections are well lit, and they can make good caching spots!
Thanks for your part in helping make our day so much fun.

first find of the day as we headed to the maizing maze, after reading previous logs it was a quick clever grab
Great hide – a little like “Transformers - more than meets the eye” GC26TMD.
Thanks to Zorgon for adding the paper. I say it will become wet after the next rain we have.
Needs more paper and a plastic bag.
My only suggestion to Bitsprayer is to put it on one of the side roads. It would make it a little more safer and finding it could be done in stealth.

22 of 100 on a road trip up to Christchurch and then down to Te Anau. Found cache but no log and unfortunately didn't have paper on me. Have come across a hide like this before, very clever. Rain was heavy at this cache site today. TFTC
Thought where it would be but no, friend gunado1 found it in the long grass, have replaced the log so hope it stays in it's proper place. TFTC
We could see something, and thought..Mmmm that's got to be it,but had to get help from something we had in our Caravan.Waited until there was a break in the Traffic, and made a quick grab, signed and put it back just as quickly.TFTH
Hehehe tricky camo but we had seen the same one in singapore so we were able to find the cache. Tftc
We have done some Night caches on our way to Oamaru today... You should have seen us. 2 crazy geocachers looking desperately with lamp torches near the highway... Fortunately at this time, not a lot of cars around and nicely found the cache. Nice one!
Had a fair idea what to look for due to past logs so a quick find which was good due to the traffic going past.

It would seem that Bitsprayer decided to replace the cache slightly further up that where sonia26642 had left it! None of us had a hope of reaching it but with some lifting and reaching we soon had the cache in hand. It did take a while though with all the traffic passing this area. TFTC
After a shopping day in Timaru make a short stop here.
I found this one direct and easy.

I had decided to go down to Dunedin some weekend, visit mum, and ofcourse, the plan was to find heaps of caches along the way!!
And with an event in Dunedin this weekend, that was just the kick I needed! So I left work early, and started making my way south.
Well... someone who last found this was extremely tall... unlike me... so though I knew instantly where it would be, and what sort of hide, it took me a few seconds to spot it! And then a bit of jumping and nudging till I managed to actually get the cache down...
And awkward! Got a ton of toots as I was doing that...weird people...
So happily signed the log, and returned the cache slightly lower down, as my hand doesn't reach up that high...
TFTC!!

had stopped here for a look a long time ago as well.
This time, from my car I could see something which might not have been meant to be there.
Sure enough - -a great hide.

Nice quick find by Miss Geckoh who knew exactly what she was looking for. Log sign and returned and we were on our way. The day is just beautiful and we have filled up the van with supplies from the local Pak'n Save. TFTC

Missed on the way south last week but picked up today. Heading north towards home after a great weekend at NZ's first MEGA in Dunedin. Put faces to many names - and met lots of other fellow cachers. TFTC.

After staying the night in Timaru, we got up early this morning and hit the road as we had plenty of caches to find on our way to Dunedin, and this was one of the many caches we stopped at along the way. The one thing that stood out for us was how beautiful the countryside was...everything was so green...and with snow capped mountains off in the distance it certainly made for a pleasant drive.

Day 2, Geraldine to Dunedin. Nice hide. We had already found this type of cache hide in Nelson over the Easter holidays so I had a pretty good idea that this was the same and it was. You have to be careful how you put it back though as that can give away the hide. TFTC
Found as part of the Gangsters- The Rats, Farmer Frentzen and Big Matt and Shell- as part of our NZ Mega Event Tour 2012.

Geotooter and I had travelled to NZ from across the ditch to attend the NZ Mega Event down in Dunedin. After staying the night in Timaru we continued our journey south. It didn't take long to find this cache on the GPSr and we discovered it was only a few kilometers in front of us. We soon arrived at GZ and parked just past it. The cache container was soon discovered. Thanks Bitsprayer for placing this hide. It added greatly to our travel enjoyment.

481 and 9/55 for the day
The GeoJuMP team were heading south for the NZ Mega, and were just saying goodbye to Timaru when these lights were spied. Such a clever wee hide but we didn't have the light in our eyes so we could see our way clear to the cache. Nicely done, thanks. Why are these here??

TFTC. A quick stop and grab of a clever hide. It would have taken me a bit longer to find in my earlier caching days - I may be growing up to a slightly wiser cacher.
We had the chance to pull over here and grab this one on our way south to the mega. The GZ did give a chance to admire the local scenery which we did enjoy. Coruze, Bushbaby321 and I signed the log and continued on.

Day 3 of our N Z Mega Event Adventure as we were slowly making our way down to Dunedin in our hire camper van geo mobile. We had arrived in Christchurch on a very cold and rainy day, but the weather was now beautiful and sunny - perfect caching weather. We found this cache quite easily and with the log quickly signed, we jumped back into our cache mobile to continue our adventure. Thank you for having placed the cache Bitsprayer
Found with C Rexes after attending Ashburton event. There had been much discussion in the car about this one and there was a shout of joy when Mr Rex put his hand on it. TFTC
