A leisurely morning with a morning tea event and a catch up with fellow Geocachers. There is always something special about this area. The massive structure makes all other things below look so small.TFTMulti flower1
Out and about with TBU1Bikesu and geo friends for more smileys Tftc flower1A fav point from me
After attending an Event nearby, we tackled this Multi, visiting the different way points to get the required answers. We sorted out the coords and took off to the final location. After a short search we located the container, and signed the log .Tftc flower1
I met Kolour here before a nearby event to work on this multi. I enjoyed wandering around the area, I haven't visited here before, but was interested to see Borthwicks Meatworks is nearby. Some family history research has uncovered my grandfather and his grandfather worked here back in the day.The information for the multi was easily obtained and the cache co-ords were spot on.Thanks flower1 for a fun multi.
After the event at Colmslie this morning, I made my way towards this cache. I was surprised by the number of carparks there were here and not long after I arrived a number of other cachers turned up to do some of the other caches in the area. It looked like I was the only one doing this one so I enjoyed walking around the park by myself. It was a very pleasant walk. There was a nice cool breeze blowing off the water and the bridge provided shade so it was a nice place to come on a hot day. The multi looked complicated but the numbers were all easy to find and the sums all made sense. With the final co-ordinates calculated I headed off and made a nice quick find of the cache. Thanks flower1 for the comprehensive tour of the park and the great multi cache!
I met up with Willis007, before an event at Colmslie, under the Gateway with a plan to find this multi as it had an attribute I was needing for a challenge cache. It was the first time both of us had been here and so we enjoyed our walk along the bike/walk path finding all of the information easily. All good with the checksum so we both did our calculations and came up with the same answer thankfully. We then made the short walk to gz where the cache was soon found in good condition. Signed, then headed to the event. It took about half an hour to complete. We enjoyed reading about the area, especially the aquarium so a fp. Tftc
After finishing work in the neighbourhood I head to grab this cache. At placement I gather the information to find GZ. The cache was found and then sign.thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community
Passing by and remembered a multi we hadnt completed. After finding all the required information GG1 calculated coords & BINGO, a find was made.
Muggle65 and l headed out for a smiley or two today. Thank you for a fun cache ??
I had some spare time that I could spend on my caching. With the monthly challenge from HQ and my personal challenges, I needed to find at least one cache today. As it turns out I am glad I had a bit of spare time, as this cache took me some time to wonder and work through. I was very grateful for the checker, as I was not sure of the flower type.
I am not too bad on the maths so that was not a problem. I was hopeful of my find as the new coordinates put me in a place that looked ok. I searched around and found a SPOR, which I uncovered and found my prize. Thank you for the hide and the multi it was a very different multi and I was glad I got it in the end.
I signed the log and returned all as found, thanks.

I intended to complete 2 multi’s here today but came unstuck on the other one. Fortunately I was able to collect all the information for this one. After the calculations were completed it was a quick find at GZ. TFTC
flower1 I found your cache Queensport Rocks on 6/6/2023, 11:25 am. This is my find 5535 and find # 1 today. Lovely walk down to the river. Collected all the information required. Took some calculations to get the right final coordinates. Once at GZ it was a quick and easy find with the help of the hint. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
In Brisbane for work which is great as I can explore new areas.
This cache was a lot of maths to start my day so I was very happy to make the find. Noted a nut is missing, but the Checksum helped plus how many flights of steps I needed. Fav.
Thanks to flower1 for the fun and the adventure.

“I’m just quickly ducking out to pick something up” I said, knowing the thing I meant was a geocache and it wouldn’t be quick.
I didn’t pay attention to the terrain rating, and the fall I had landing with my phone screen on rocks could have gone really badly (thankfully nothing but my pride was injured. It seems phone screens are tougher than the credit we give w them.
Anyway, I’ll redo the sums at home and try again some other time!
Edit: checked the sums and looks like I missed part of something because I got different numbers. I’ll swing by again, maybe in the morning, and try to collect this one. Eager to get it as I only need one more field puzzle attribute for January

Went for A nice long amble collecting all the clues before sitting down to work out the coordinates. Math has never been my forte but happy to say I got it right and found the cache in the first place I looked. TFTC
Enjoyed our exploration of this park, discovering the history as we read the signs along the way. Took a seat to work out our calculations at the end before heading back to find the cache. Thanks flower1
Finally got to return to this area and find the cache that was waiting patiently for me to return. I had ‘solved’ the final GZ co- ords over a year ago and today was the day I got to see if I calculated correctly all those months ago. Bingo - for once everything aligned and it was a relatively quick find.
No-one around today which helped as I am never that good at ‘stealth’ mode. Initially on approach to the area I had other ideas of where it was but after a quick check of the helpful hint I had the cache in hand.
All good here - container nice and dry. TFTC and bringing me to this beautiful spot to finish off my first ever multi!

Out for the day of multi cache hunting and another that wasn't on my list but while I'm nearby, lets go find it.
Parked at suggested WP, and surprised to see where I am. Interesting location.
Gathering numbers at suggested WP's I took a seat to work out the final coordinates.
Lovely day and many people here taking a walk along the river.
With GZ calculated, it was back towards the car luckily where I found the cache quickly.
SL then returned as found.
What a pleasant walk under these bridges and park.

This evening, I visited the areas of Murarrie and Hemmant to target a few geocaches, whilst also enjoying a walk underneath Gateway Bridge in Queensport Rocks Park.
Needing a multi-cache for today's calendar day, I thought that this cache would make a good target, so I parked in the car park, and headed off. I didn't have any issues with finding any of the answers on the various signage and monuments, although I did need to double-check the flower type at Gary "Gaz" Moran's memorial (I was actually right). Following visiting all the waypoints, I enjoyed a seat whilst checking out the bridge views, and completed the needed maths. At least my checksum agreed with my individual answers, but unfortunately, my first attempt had me an incorrect GZ yet plausible location, so I wasted 10 minutes searching in amongst the rocks and despite the logical hiding spots, nothing was found. I thought I would double-check my arithmetic, and sure enough, my mistake was found. A short distance later, and I very quickly found the cache as per the hint. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks flower1 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A nice walk and cool area!

on the way home from work i decided to pick up this cache to continue my streak of finding one cache a day. This is my 86th cache in a row. i had collected the information i needed a few months ago when i found a multi nearby. Today i went to my gz and walked around and around and realized i must be in the wrong spot so on the way back to my car feeling sad i looked around for where i thought would be a good spot for a hide and i saw a spor in a good place (after looking at a few other spots) and bingo . my checksum was ok so it must have been my maths. Does not matter any more as i have my name in the log book. Happy Days. Thankyou for taking me here and for placing this cache here for my to enjoy
Introducing a friend at work to caching and this was close by - so off we went - this was my first multi so we were kind of both learning how they are done - we accumulated information over a few weeks (as we were doing this on lunch breaks) then I mathsed it out and my friend double checked, we think we got one slightly wrong but it was a quick fix had final coordinates and went to find cache.... that was the easiest bit.
On my way home from work, I made a small detour to go and look for this cache. It wasn't an area I would have considered otherwise, and I'm so glad I made the detour, as even though I didn't even find the cache, it was a most delightful experience. Arriving here in the late afternoon provided numerous stunning photo opportunities, and I wished I had stayed by the waterfront rather than rushing off to find the cache- the setting sun created more and more spectacular vistas as the minutes moved on.
The waypoints were all very interesting, and I was surprised to achieve the correct checksum straight away, but when I got to my calculated GZ, my search of a SPOR at exactly my calculated coordinates failed to uncover a cache. Disappointing, but I got plenty of stunning photos instead. Hopefully I can come back when the cache is replaced to sign the log.

We followed the clues and got to the final coordinates and searched for the cache but unfortunately we just couldn’t see it! Light was fading and it was getting late so we called it a day and went home to eat some dinner! Enjoyed the clues up until we came up empty handed! Thank you for the adventure!
Out to collect a few multi caches, and then some, today.
Collecting the numbers for this was easy. Sat down on a rock close to the river to do the numbers.
Cache found very quickly.
A good day to be here
Thank you for this cache flower1

Well blow me down! I found it!! Seeing as the GPS (phone) started out at 28 metres out at the second waypoint even after letting it settle, I'm amazed to have a smiley here!
When I tried to reset the coords for the third waypoint it pointed to the second so I tried resetting it 3 more times without success. Sigh....
Knowing I had to get most of the info off plaques, I decided to just wander around and hope I could spot them, but which direction to go? Luckily I took the right path first go and after a slow wander I had everything I needed. Propped myself on a handy seat and did the calculations and did the checksum as well which didn't match. Hmm...
Double checked my answers but everything looked allright there so read some previous logs and saw that others had trouble with the checksum too. Also noted that a few had got a " boat/ scuba gear required" GZ but had still been able to make a find. With my optimism sinking faster than the Titanic, I plugged my own numbers in to see where I'd end up and Hey! at least I'm on dry land! Well that was a surprise? I had nothing to lose except time so trotted off to where the GPS was pointing but not expecting much. Still thinking it was 28 metres out, I started radiating outwards leaving no stone unturned. Within a few minutes I had my hands on the goodies! Unbelievable!! I let the GPS settle while I signed the log and returned the cache and its outness has closed in to just over 10 metres. Gonna be a good day!
Cache was dry and well here.

Today was not my day. I set out at 6 am with my ever-faithful hound by my side. I've been to this park before, but this time I got a new appreciation of the history of the place because of the questions to be answered.
All the numbers were gathered quickly and, like many others who have been here, I took my seat at the handy picnic table to do the calculations. With what looked like a good set of coordinates, I set off in search of the cache.
Then the wheels fell off the adventure. After a search in progressively widening circles that turned up nothing, I started to doubt my mathematics skills. I sent a message to the CO to ask for verification of the coordinates. While I waited for a reply, I set off to hunt for RoddyC's hide - Mothers Day 2016 - which is nearby.
No reply from CO, the wind had picked up and my GPS was doing a crazy dance, so I abandoned the search (I needed coffee and dog needed breakfast). I will return another day.

With the family scattered to the four corners of the Earth, I set myself up to enjoy a rainy day watching the cricket with the house to myself. My only company was a dog we are house sitting for a few weeks and seeing he has claimed my spot in the bed as his own, he has become my mortal enemy. I wasn’t going to share the lounge with him so instead I decided to brave the elements.
After parking under the bridges, I had a hell of a fight just getting the umbrella up. The wind was racing through faster than a telemarketer trying to get your credit card number. In the end I pushed into the wind and rain which eased once I got down the hill.
I had some numbers on paper which looked good even though some bum has stolen a nut on one of the waypoints. I did the calcs by hand and headed off to make the find. Great little area under here and if the weather was playing with a straight bat I would have kept walking up the path. tftc

Found myself checking this area out today - so took the walk down to the river - picking up clues (one of which at least I clearly got wrong). But was able to geo-tune my senses to go to approximately the right place, and the hint helped me find it. All OK here. I have no idea which questions I got wrong, but my numbers don't add to your checksum and the final clearly isn't in the river. Oh well, experience pays off.
Thanks flower1 for entertaining me at this location.

A day out South of the river was planned for today, and despite the wet weather and muddy ground, we decided to go for it anyway and made the most of it. After all, what's a little water, we ain't made of sugar .
This was the first on the list, and after gathering the required info, a quick find was made thanks to entirely no muggles around. Good to show some love to this cache, seems it's been a while.

My caching buddy had already found this cache, but we were in the area, so I wanted to find it. After a lovely stroll, we were at the final. My name was soon added to the log and we were off to find the next one. TFTC
A great piece of local history i didn’t know about. Thanks for bringing us here, we will surely be back!
Thank you flower 1, this multi was very interesting and enjoyable. Nice breeze here too. Tftc :^)
I really enjoyed this cache. I had two previous finders with me, OrionJ and barbbowman, but they were quite happy to come along with me to collect the information. We had actually started out looking for the other multi nearby, but had to stop halfway through as there was a council truck parked nearly on top of one of the waypoints. So let's do this one then . It was lovely down by the river with a nice, cool breeze, the view of the bridges is amazing and all of the information about the area is interesting. I soon had some coords (yay!) and a cache in my hand. All is good at GZ (no problematic ants today), TFTC flower1
Found it eventually, I have been to look several times previously but finding it never happened. Another go tonight and after a PAF call I discovered I had 1 digit wrong in my co-ords, amended that a then made a quick discovery. Another friend to help me but I had already signed the log. Thanks everyone. I wished the tow truck would move off as he was watching my every move. Easily found with the right numbers, harder to access the log then a quick signature and returned cache as found. TFTC
A second multi of the day. I had sourced all the clues correctly as my check sum was right. A little bit of maths and I had a good set of co-ords to go to the final. Back up I went and along and I spotted the SPOR and found the cache all high and dry here. TFTC flower1
What a fabulous multi.
The clues took KerriMG and I to some interesting plaques and we loved reading all about the history in the area, my favourite being about the aquarium, would love to see the roller coaster.
Sat down under in the shade of the bridge and did some sums. We both came up with the same wrong answer, but when the coords took us the north side we figured we had done something wrong. Second time lucky and some better looking coords were obtained. Looked up and saw a great navy ship going past. This is a fabulous spot to sit and I will be bringing the family down here.
Quick find and all is well with the cache. Left a small swap for any geokids that come along.
Thanks flower1 I really enjoyed my time here.

Nikid1 & I were on our regular caching Thursday & headed over to Wynnum to produce some more smilies. This was a great multi in a beautiful spot that I never even knew existed before today. It was a beautiful Brissy day to be wandering around near the water & there was a lovely cool breeze blowing.
We made our way towards the water reading lots of interesting facts along the way, who knew there used to be an aquarium & zoo not far from here, would have been amazing in it's day, shame it didn't last very long.
After gathering the required information we sat in the shade by the river to crunch some numbers, somehow Nikid1 & I both made the same mistake & ended up with the same co-ords over on the northside - hmm don't think that's right! Maybe we were too interested in the Singaporean navy boat that was heading up the river. A reread of the description & we soon had some much better looking co-ords & headed off to GZ. A quick find at GZ, log signed & replaced as found.
Thanks a fun & interesting multi flower1, a favourite point from me.

The plaque containing the answer to the first clue has been removed so the answer to this clue has been added to the cache description - 28 is the number you need.
Whilst in the area we checked the cache - the container is fine and its contents clean and dry with no signs of ants.

I started this backwards from the aquarium and made my way around the path checking off the waypoints until I got to the end of the bridge. The plaque is not there so I tried Google. I don't know if I got the right names Earnst and Young. Any way started to walk back to the nice park under the bridge down the hill on the gravel road to go find a place to sit out of the wind and calculate. Not my strong point lol. Well I did not even sit down because I spotted the cache. Thank goodness no maths for me. And where is this checksum others have written about. I can't see it. This multi description needs some fixing up. I took coordinates from where I found the Cache to take home and check my journey off. but could not see where the checksum is. I had a look at geocaching.com in the browser and found the checksum. from my calculations and the reading i took from GZ I got East right. but with all the loggers dodgy readings who knows if my south was right it was 45 less than my GZ reading and they don't match up with the checksum. I am happy I found it for Geosportz2016 but I feel I found it on default from just pure luck and observation.

P.s
I used to come sit under the bridge quite often after work to read in summer it is nice and cool here.

Great little series for a souvenir. Thanks for bringing us here. Never knew this place existed. It's a nice park to go 2. Tftc
Lovely afternoon walking around the park, gaining the clues for the final location. The plaque for AA is no longer there we believe but we were able to still work it out due to the checksum, Beautiful spot tftc :0)
Found with MitchimusPrime and ChasingAdventures. We could not find the first plaque (I think it might be missing) but the checksum helped to fill in the missing number. Cache was full of ants and pretty gross. Cleaned out the best we could. Beautiful spot for an afternoon stroll.. As we were sitting down doing our final sums a passerby enquired if we were pokemoning, we though that if we told him the truth that, no, we were actually 'mathing' this fine sunny afternoon, he might not believe us!
After a great Mothers Day lunch across the river at the Eat Street Markets, Mrs RoddyC says "Where can we get a cache or two?" Across the river, of course, at the 'base' of the Gateway Bridges.
So we pulled up in the car park and began the hunt. Love these types of multis. There was a nice cool breeze blowing, and the picnickers under the bridge were enjoying the shade and the cool breeze. We had no trouble collecting the clues, then back up to a shady spot to work the mathematical magic to produce the coordinates.
Once that had been done, the cache was quickly spotted at GZ. Unfortunately, it was the home to a colony of ants, with the interior of the cache absolutely packed full of white ant eggs and a myriad on little black ants. A few good belts against the rocks dislodged all the ants, and we were able to clean the container out as much as we could to gain access to the log pages. Once signed and returned to the cache, we decided to move the container and its camouflage just 60cms away from the ants home and build a new hiding spot. Hope this time the cache fares a little better.
Found at 1.45pm on 8th May 2016. TFTC.

Once signed and returned to the cache, we decided to move the container and its camouflage just 60cms away from the ants home and build a new hiding spot. Hope this time the cache fares a little better.
Found at 1.45pm on 8th May 2016. TFTC.
I found this cache with Genyo on a night out caching. We had grabbed a few before hand and this was in the vicinity. It was a lovely walk collecting all the info we needed before heading to GZ and signing the log. An enjoyable cache and a favourite point. TFTC!
Visited here with Dawesy321 last night and enjoyed walking around this lovely spot. The views of the bridge and the river were really great and I was a big fan of this area!
Thanks a lot for the cache!
Thanks a lot for the cache!
We parked under the bridge and enjoyed a leisurely walk down to the river gathering information as we went.
Once we got to the bottom, we sat down and performed some complex calculations to come up with the coordinates. Seeing where they were, we decided to continue on and collect a couple of other caches before coming back and collecting this one.
When we did come back, it was a relatively easy find.
The log perplexed us though as it has only one signature, from August. The online log does not record any logs in August but does record one in September from a different person. Not sure what's going on here.

Popped out during my lunch break to pick this one up. Nice little stroll and break from the grind of the day.
!!!!! tftc!!!!! a nice quick wander about, all points quickly located. All good with the cache
We walked the bridge today - our first time - with the intention of getting the nearby caches and this one was on our hit list.
We collected the answers on our return trip then sat at a picnic table under the bridges to do the maths.
Pleased to see it wasn't too far of a retrace of our steps. Spotted a likely hidey spot as we approached GZ. Cache is in good condition.
This was an interesting well thought out multi.
Thanks for the fun and cache flower1.

I never knew this park existed... thanks for bringing me here and making me an absorb more of the history of Brisbane... tftc...
Got all the info yesterday before my phone died and went back this arvo and realised I walked right past cache yesterday!! Haha tftc
We stopped on the way home from the movies at Hawthorne and decided to check out the park as we completed the multi. So glad we did, as we never knew this area existed and WOW what a view as the sun set over the river. We read the various signs with interest and marvelled at the size of both bridges above. Definitely a worthwhile stop [^] Thanks for placing this cache flower1, a favourite point from us for bringing us to this fascinating spot
Happy Queensland Day! (Also D-Day 70th anniversary.)
After a big day in Bulimba, I was keen to complete this cache which had always looked big and complicated, but of course it's not at all.
I fouled up the parking by heading down Borthwick or something to get to what looked a nearby spot, but then found a legal park surprisingly hard to find. Once I had, I set off to try to sneak through one of the industrial tenants. Cliffs and barbed wire stopped me at one, but as I walked back out and headed due north, I found a nice strip out the back of one place where I just had to hurdle a low fence, and then I was in business. It was next to Armaguard HQ; maybe they don't like people sneaking past their place, but no harm done.
Into the hunt and all the directions seemed clear so I wandered here and there, enjoying the whole experience and taking a shot of that unique view across the river. I was a little uncertain of one or two numbers but they turned out right.
I noted your advice about GPS bounce so as soon as I arrived at what seemed the GZ, I looked further afield to what seemed a more likely zone. I would think an experienced cacher would be pretty good at spotting something suspicious, as I did today, and the cache was soon in hand, with a constantly varying range of anywhere up to 13m, which I wouldn't worry about. Unusual container, and it has unglued itself from its buddy, but that's no problem. All was fine within and all in all, this was a very relaxing and interesting wander around GZ. TFTC and have another Fave point.

Today I was spending the day out caching with Captain Terror, Fangsoki and Radnoski. But first we had to get there. Fangsoki and I were on our way to meet up with the other guys when Fangsoki wanted to go and check on a mystery cache which washed up on the shore nearby.
I had collected information for this cache a while ago but ran out of time to get it. Today however I was going to make the time, however I forgot my pen. I found the cache and took a photo holding the logbook for proof. I can send the cache owner the picture if needed. Thanks for the cache flower1

Started searching in a pile of queen sport rocks then checked my calculations. Whoops we only 50m off the correct GZ. Thanks for the hunt. A great place for the kids to bring their scooters.
Found it with weird_shorty today. First find this year (since August!) well put together multi.
Found with Bedmaker and others from the nearby event.
This was a great multi but a few of us were also grabbing all the munzees along the track.

collected a few additional caches while attendig the International Geocaching event nearby today
Out with Gunnie69 & Ghsotgums to collect a couple of extra smilies for today
Take two for this cache
Some minor maths errors and time restrictions last time saw us off the mark
Today however with reworked co-ords for GZ we dropped straight onto cache
I had container uncovered withinb minutes of our arrrival
log soon signed and we wandered away..

We tagged along with a few of the crowd and found this one during the event today.
This was a great little walk around where we discovered all sorts of different things we didn’t know about this area while collecting all the information required. There was also quite a few Munzee’s to be found so at some times it was a case of what are searching for Munzees or Cache clues?
It was a great way to spend a bit of time and an enjoyable area.

Gunnie69, Kaiho53 and I had been here a couple of months earlier and collected all the necessary. After calculating the co-ordinates we headed off for a unsuccessful look.
Returned today, for a second look, we spotted it straight away! How did we miss it last time.
Quite a nice little multi, and it was quite interesting that there was quite a neat little park!

Came along with a few others. This was probably the multi with the most numbers and waypoints I have seen so far. Luckily you can trust the others to keep track of the numbers and do the calculations, apparently there's an app for that? We didn't take the straightest route though and ended up going past all the munzies!

Ghostgums, Kaisho53 and I had done the meandering for this cache a couple of months ago. After the nearby event today, we headed back with a couple of sets of coords, to factor in a potential deficiency in oue of the counts...
As we approached GZ, we got to within 20m of where our previous coords had us, and something stuck out along the way... Hmm... I wonder... As we drew near, GZ was obvious and the cache was revealed... [^]
Names in the log, we were glad to have it ticked off. A nice area though, the council has done a good job with the canvas they had to work with...
Cheers flower1.

Whilst at the International Geocaching Day Event at Colmslie Beach Reserve, teamdfl and I headed off with bedmaker, Tassiegirl13, /dev/gc0c, and half of Angela & Dave to grab the couple of caches under the Gateway Bridges. It was a very pleasant wander around grabbing all the info we needed. We also got distracted along the way collecting all the Munzees in the area At the top we sat down and made use of my app to crunch our numbers and got a very nice looking GZ, so took the walk and found us a cache. TFTC, flower1. It's nicely constructed.
Out and about with mini munchkin collecting a few caches. We both enjoyed the pleasant walk down to the water and reading all the information boards. I was very surprised to find such a well kept area down here. After all the information was collected and we had the new coords, we strolled over to GZ. It took quite a while to find the cache as my navigational tool had me nowhere near the actual GZ, it took reading a few logs to figure out where I should be looking.

Having come out yesterday with Barb, and obtained all the clues, we plotted co-ords and made our way to search site. Two GPS's had us in the same spot. We had a preconceived idea what the cache may be and thought the spot we were at, it could be anywhere.
Searched for about 45 minutes, but having run out of time gave up.
Back today, with a hint from a previous finder and located what we needed. Certainly wasn't the container I was expecting.
Log signed, cache replaced.

I gathered the clues this afternoon with Kaisho53 and Ghostgums, but the final calcs put us in an unusual place. The checksum added ok but the final location didn't look right. We'll check those numbers and nip back when we have more time...
Taking a POETS day with Gunnie69 & Ghostgums to rack up a few numbers
This proved to be DNF number 2 for us today & not for want of trying.
we walked in from Lytton road to realise we could have actually parked WAY closer (will remember that on take two)
trekked around and collected the clues sat and did the calc's on site - checked by checker yep correct and then couldn't manage to find the damn thing before time constraints got the better of us
In those immortal words "We will be back"

Finally found. It no muggles near the spot and went for the log after sitting on another cache nearby that was hard to get. TFTC and the challenge
I thought I had collected all the clues correctly and calculated the location (so much maths!) but after going to what I thought was the GZ and looking at the hint I discovered my checksum was -1 out. I'll have to review the photos I took of the clues. So no find for me today. I'll be back. TFTH flower1
I had no idea this neat garden existed! Captain Terror and I were out and about and during a break in the rain discovered this multi under the twin bridges.
We really liked this jaunt around the area and if this was Flower1's first cache, it's a ripper . It is a great example of what I (at least) expect from a well-planned multi.
I spotted a man with a dog in the bushes behind the nearby shipping depot but what he was doing remains a mystery? Even better... A P&O cruise liner heading out of the port when we were 'upstairs' picking up other nearby caches.
The cap'n kept track of our numbers on his hand and at one waypoint his affliction in relation to flower identification was soon apparent. Fortunately every female born knows how to identify THOSE
There was some confusion about counting one waypoint and then with a tip from a previous finder, we sauntered back up the path ... almost run down by a feral group of little boys on skateboards. I had a mini-rant about bad parenting and what were they doing down there alone. As they took off on another downhill run I heard one of the scamp's say "We're gonna die!"
At the hunting ground nothing looked likely and we split off in different directions. My dumbphone beeped with a sms from the cap'n who'd found the cache at his end of the search area
Really lovely, quiet and memorable spot. I can see why the muggles like it down there. Pics of these awesome bridges to follow.

What a surprisingly great area! Normally parks under bridges are a bit icky, but this is a place I'd gladly come back to. With A.Ladybug, after grabbing some other nearby caches decided to tackle this one. The first few questions were easy although we didn't have paper, but pen writes on my hand, so all was good. As we followed the path down I was in constant awe of the immense presence of the twin bridges, such a brilliant sight from down here and the whole park is very nice. A few laughs later we had nearly all the information and had found my weakness of identifying flowers. The last question had a muggle pair sitting nearby, but we ducked in anyways and got what we came for.
A table near the river saw us sit down and crunch the numbers while watching the tide go out. We had also just seen Pacific Dawn (The P&O cruise ship) leave port for the open ocean. I was plugging numbers into my phone and things didn't seem to line up. The checksum employed we found our numbers were out. I conceded defeat and made a phone call and we had a bit of a hint as to how to adjust where we needed to look.
Along a bit more pathway and with only really a rough idea where to look, we split up and started hunting. I was the lucky one who came across the right spot and was soon scratching our names into the logbook. All done and dusted we headed back to the car. TFTC flower1, a much enjoyed area here

Good fun for our first Cache
Had to bypass a group of ingenious muggle tobogganers using the gateway bridge as a projection screen.

What a great park and an equally great little hunt. Took my little granddaughter who was easily entertained looking at aeroplanes, boats, trucks, etc while I put together the information to reach the required co-ords. The cache was right where it was supposed to be and in good condition, (although for a moment or two I was wondering if I had made a mistake as it seemed to be too open considering all the other hidey spots around.) Thanks flower1 for the lovely afternoon's entertainment.
Always wondered what they did around here once the new bridge was finished.
A great winters day and a great place for a walk.

I should of read the description in more detail before arriving because I came along the bike track to GZ then had to make my way back down to find all the answers A great little multi around this park. With plenty of seats to sit down and do do the maths.
Thanks for the cache. The cache is dry and in good condition.
