This cache was just checked and found to be here, so I came back with Marchwood. The recent checker was good enough to exchange a hint for this cache for another one they were having difficulty finding. Even with a spoiler photo, it took a little while to find the right tree with the cache. TFTC.
Saw that this cache had a recent DNF and was in the area so checked it out. All good here, where it should be as per hint.We are one of **Bums Workers**
Alunb and I searched all of the trees in the grove, but came up empty handed. Maybe we needed to go farther afield.
So good to hear "oh my god, there it is" come from Rouille1 after 15+ mins of searching. Thank you for: "silhouette". TFTC
Last for today. Buoyed on by the previous 2 finds on the Grampians the search began. Checked a few spots in a systematic search and the 4th location was the cache. Log in great condition so signed and replaced as found. Packed up to leave and the rain started - perfect!TFTC bumandworker#7002
Another 2+ year old re-find! Bit of bush bashing and wondering around. Did not even check for a hint cause b&w often has none or someline like 'base'. When I did check the hint it proved to be very valuable information and made my search more directed. A few mins later I got the cache in hand: all fine here, ready for the next cacher, tftc!
Was just about to give up on this one. Searched the most obvious spots and after 20 mins trying to manage 2 little people on slippery, churned up hill terrain, thought the cache might have disappeared since there were no recent logs. Was heading back when I decided to have one last look a bit further afield from initial searches. Log was a tiny bit damp but otherwise all good. TFTC!
Took a few minutes to spot, and we initially tried to approach from the right and got gorse blocked. All good in the end, TFTC B&W.
We had a function to attend this evening, but before that we decided on a walk into the hills for an hour and a half or so of exercise. So we picked a little loop just off Brook St, our second minor foray into the Grampians in as many weekends. Some challenging caches and some fun ones, thanks everyone.

Yay great search with the three littles. Safe and sound back where we found it.
We headed in to town this afternoon to see if we could find this cache. We made our way along beside the horses that were grazing on the hill, they were not bothered or interested in what we were doing.
We soon found an area that was worthy of searching, and search we did for quite some time. As I was going over the area that we had already searched GK expanded his search and then I heard those wonderful words "it is over here". So easy to find when you know where it is, but I suppose they all are.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Found with NZDi. With a long weekend to look forward to with the added bonus of a fantastic weather forecast, there was always going to be at least one day dedicated to geocaching. NZDi wasn't very specific about where she wanted to go so during my spare time in the evenings, I prepared four options, these being a cycle ride up the Leatham Valley which I have already cached a lot of, a walk along the link track between Wedge Point and Ngakuta Bay which I have also done most of but have a piece of unfinished business to attend to, a cycle ride along the Kowhai Cycle Track in Kaikoura which neither of us had done or try to finish off the Grampians which we started five weeks ago. The Kaikoura and Nelson trips were short-listed with the Grampians eventually getting the nod.
The trip across from Blenheim this morning was a bit slower than usual due to heavy fog from Okaramio thru to past Rai Valley but when we crested Gentle Annie, we were met with another typical Nelson Blue Sky day, I don't know how Blenheim beats nelson in the sunshine stakes because they turn the weather on for us every time.
The street lights are on now and we are approaching this from the street by car rather than from inside the park by foot. The walk through long wet grass gave us wet feet, just what we needed for the drive home. After lokking around GZ in the fading light without a torch, I finally caught a likely looking silhouette. Sure enough, if you don't find a B&W cache covered in stones, you will more likely than not find this type of hide.
Once back home and logging the cache, I was surprised this has been lonely for over a year.
TFTC B&W and a FP for today's entertainment.

First find for the month of March. Love these old buildings, so much character and pleased that it hasn't been pulled down, though I suppose if it gets dangerous it is on the cards.
Didn't take long to find the cache once in the right place. Couldn't get the lid opened so StreetWalker did the honours. As we were doing the paper work, a chap walked past with a couple of donkeys and a dog - it seems he had taken them for a walk and they normally reside in the opposite paddock.
The easiest of the caches we did today, the rest required a bit more effort to get to. TFTC.

#9201. The cows seem to have been trampling through the shed, so I'm not sure how much longer it will last for. Good spot for a cache. TFTC.
The second of two pleasantly simple finds for me on a quick evening stroll.

Found during a nice walk to the summit and back. This a nice but almost destroyed place.

Found while out with the family practicing some MTB skills with the Skills Clinic. Managed a quick find while no-one looking!
Decided a hill ride after work was on for this evening and so it was up The Brook and over Grampian Rd and then Kanuka Track to Bishopdale, picking up caches along the way. Very easy find here with cache clearly visible. Signed log and rehid. TFTC
We found it but no small toys to trade. It was our first ever cache so very exciting! It was kind of hard to find it but we found it in the end. We'll have out thinking caps on for our next search.
Third in the morning's trifecta with the little cachers. Its hard to imagine the current structure being used as a residence; we certainly have things a bit more cushy these days! TFTC.
This has been on the radar for a while, but with one or two fresh caches nearby - - today was the day.
When I was small I used to sometimes go to places like this where my father shore sheep. - - - Not many sheds like this around now though. Not many people bother with running the number of sheep that would fit here, so sheds are much bigger, they have a raised board so the woolhandlers don't have to bend all day - - - oh yes, and they have somewhere for the woolpress. Loved this bit of history though and will download some pics. TFTC

A quick stop on the way further up the track to find the 2 new caches. We were happy to sign a new replacement log. TFTC.
A new approach for me to the Grampians. On the way to new caches placed it was nice to learn yet a little bit more about the local history. TFTC
Left log in sun while walking up to the picture cache. Pretty much dry, but left a back up.
A return to this cache after someone had been a bit exuberant in cache replacement after their find. This time after a brief search it was soon spotted . A quick sign and headed off back towards home TFTC
A gentle stroll here on a return visit - we didnt find it some time ago - we see now that it was hiding not in its right hiding place then - a much easier find today - log book soaked but still signable ( a contradiction I know !!!) - didnt have a spare on us ( sorry) thanks for the cache
Checked cache. Last finder/s ensured it was well hidden. Back to origonal placement now.
Tried whatever options seemed to fit the hint, inadvertently grabbing some dried up sheep crap in the process. I don't really want to try this cache again.
Quick find, as the cache was visible as soon as I got to GZ. I have replaced the cache so it is hidden from view. TFTC
An easy find tonight, not like my previous failed attempt some months ago.
I'm intrigued by the "tanks" at the start of the track that have been unearthed. Anyone have any ideas as to what they were for?

Followed the track down to here from "It's for You" further up. Cache was found quickly. Signed log, TFTC.

found it ,with the aid of a small torch i have on my key ring.Have no idea how it got to where it was, took 30 min to retrieve it,signed log and placed back where it should be. Next cacher should have no problems,Nice area thanx4TC
We had a good look but this one escaped us. This cache was located in a grotty area and it made us nervous searching without gloves on. We will be better equiped next time.
My 2nd try on this one. GPS way off near the cabbage trees, but found in a more obvious place. TFTC.
Been past this Shed many times in the last few years, finally a reason to stop and look around. TFTC
Cold and damp on this side of the Gramps. Brrrrrrrrrr.Took the travelbug and hope to get it closer to its home.
A bit overdue... under 1000 meters from home. Been a bit busy with work??? Lots of excuses.... Andre and I walked from home and found this cache today. Added a TB. Cheers!
This became cache 8 on our raid on the Grampian's. Hardly part of the hill walking we did today, more like a drive by!
Have been here several times before. Took us a while to find.

3221. There was a cute donkey walking up and down the paddock and then the owner came in to feed him. Loved the shed and got good photo shots of the shed and the old truck that was nearby.

Quick easy find on a nice morning walk.
Bubble loved the two "Shrek donkeys" in the nearby paddock.

A quick find, once we were on the right track! Nice to find another entrance to the Grampians. TFTC
There was a welcome commitee when we arrived, sheep around and in shed looks as if they were waiting for a trim
Good one and quick find TFTC

Interesting place so close to the city and still in use, quite remarkable.
No problem with the find.

Nifty little shed! Cache took a while to find as I think the last finder had bloody long arms! Cheers Gav [4374]
Found while out mountain biking with Mr Navfam. Have been past here dozens of time but never stopped. TFTC
Interesting spot, complete with sign requesting respect for the active shed.
Unfortunately GPS jumped from 5m to 16m in one step! Bad EPE today.
Used hint, which suggested a square to check, but discover the freedom campers had been here - yuck, yuck, yuck! (not the cache placer's fault!)
Poked, prodded. Decided to follow GPS up the hill, it counted down to 2m in several spots today.
Totally frustrated. Good wee walkway, looks like a new sign about to be installed.
Will have to return in better conditions.

Didn't know it was still in use. Wondered if I might see Buttercups cousin inside! Thanks
An after work walk with my T4 buddy to "Investigate" a cache, stopped here soon after leaving the car. T4 spotted the cache first this time. Back to the car via the Collingwood Street loop. Nice walk. TFTC.
Came to look for this a couple of weekends ago but three boys were building a BMX jump right there so I needed to keep going. So back today once the rain cleared. Second cacher here today - enjoy your time in Nelson Boxhill sorry about the weather but it will be better tomorrow!. TFTC (791)
An early morning find just before 0700hr. Had a great day in Nelson today, my best caching day since starting with 22 finds from Dawn to Dusk, and yes the weather on Sunday was more what I'm used to in Nelson. TNLN SL TFTC
was up here on monday night. didnt fancy poking around in the dark. not that keen on possums. quick find in daylight. tftc
I walked right past it the other day and though that would be a nice place for a cache didn't click as I didn't have the cache info with me, But got it this time as I knew just where it was [;-)]
Had to get "up there" for a cache this morning, so it seemed to make sense to make this the starting point for it. Looked a bit sheepish when I couldn't find the cache for a while, and had to bring all technology to bear to draw a hint from the sky. Even then I managed to make it harder. Oh.. THERE! Always nice to do more than one when in this area! TFTC.
I knew exactly where this would be when it was published and today was my first chance to go out and find it. I noticed this structure a while ago on the way down from a certain cache up the hill. Well done on the placement. +/- TB, TFTC, Biggles.
What a daggy place !!! Been past here a few times over the years on the way to work on the big stick on the top of the hill !!! TFTC
Second to find. Good spot for a cache- was able to work it in with the now open "Redwood Grove" cache nearby. Good one, thanks.
One of many groups that wandered up this track today. The weather had improved a bit so it was nice to get some fresh air. Took coin left nothing. TFTC
Nice One!!!!!!! Sure was a herd of RV's coming from the mountain bike races driving past us as we walked the short distance to GZ. Was by there a few months ago on the way to the top and thought what a great place for a cache. There is a unique bit of Nelson's history found in that small corner. Well done! Thanks.
The local horse-woman informs us this once was a house, and a baby was born here! Left Quatchi Vancouver TB
