The bananas expecting easy treasure with the recent added clues, but B1 suspects that with authority and a bulldozer, the altering of the landscape in a restricted area, could make results a little harder to achieve. The outcome predictable or am I wrong. This will go on the watchlist.
Spend a good 30 mins looking. Gz had us standing out in the open but except for a few holes in the ground, nothing. Some digging and landscaping going on close by. I think this one has gone.
Searched for 20 minutes but the bugger didn't want to be found!! Phone had me all over the place, I'll be back
With Whitepaws9 for caching day
Found it. Perfect weather for us go out.
Thanks shane.thompson

I fell in the same trap as some of the previous posters. Read the description first people, it will save you a lot of useless searching elsewhere. Once I had the proper co-ordinates it was a quick trip to GZ. Spot on directions as well. Fantastic views and yes, it was a bit windy !!! Left TB. TFTC Shane !!!
Found it nicely after take good walk in in the local park on cold day before rain.
Lucky I didn't get wet.
Thanks for bring here and hunting.

Thought we'd squeeze this in while unravelling the secrets of the sundial. Nice view, no wind today. TFTCSL
We headed to Geelong to visit some family and slipped in a few quick caches before.
The weather was a little bit rainy, but we managed to dodge the showers for the finds.
Thanks to the owners for their cache hides.

As I started for Gz I thought "this can't be right". But I soon discovered the cache.
The filthy dog found a dead rabbit and brought it over also. Now breath STINKS!!!!
A great view though
Thanks for the info and bringing me here.

Seems that we had met 'Muzza' and 'Biggles Bear'. So now as a team we take off. Lets say reading the description fully would of saved some time. But what a nice hide. The view of the cache is well camouflaged, but the view from GZ is almost breath taking.
Sitting in the car park, another car pulls up beside us, and we wind down windows "Are you looking at the cache description" Seems that we had meet 'Muzza' and 'Biggles Bear'. Found 10:50, in the company of Muzza and VicMap.

Today was a special caching trip with Biggles Bear - together we each intended to find our 7000th cache. We chose a particular cache for the milestone, but had to do 19 before it. We parked near the initial co-ordinates and in the car next to us, there were a couple who looked like they might be caching. Indeed they were - it was VicMap and ashleigh.green.
Together we tried to gather the required information, until BB #1 spotted the final co-ordinates in the cache notes, given because the required sign is not available. From there it was off to GZ for a quick find and some nice views. My thanks to shane.thompson for the cache.

Found on a night cache run to Geelong with Storchburp and Fergzter. What a great way to get to the cache park next to it then go on a 200m scramble to it a nice easy find. TFTC.
Found on a night caching trip with LionJRB and Storchburp in Geelong. Oh what a fun time we had here. Notice the coords in the description, parked beside the road, then found the carpark 20m away. Made us laugh, oh well its after midnight we can forgive that. So LionJRB leads us on a merry walk down the stairs as I had left my GPS in the car. Once down the bottom he leads us around the bend of the shore then back up the damn hill. Argh we made this terrain 1.5 a terrain 3!!! We had a good laugh at our sillyness. Unfortunatly we found the cache open with its contents scattered. Log was still signable. We dried out the cache best as we could and reassembled it in its hole. Thanks for bringing us here shane.thompson.
The funnist thing was that we were parked only about 40m away from the cache, but walked about 200m in the end.
The funnist thing was that we were parked only about 40m away from the cache, but walked about 200m in the end.
Found using the posted coordinates. Fergzster, LionJRB and I took the long way around, slipping on soft sand on a slope before find the cache very close to where we had parked. Unfortunately it was open and exposed, and the container was cracked and had a little water. The log was dry enough to sign and we replaced it in its hiding spot with its swaps, but the trackable is no longer there.
Needs maintenance soon before winter rain sets in as the container is cracked and contains water.
Typed the next stage in - thanks for the update while the sign is missing - headed up the steps, but arrow pointed 70m back towards the sea.
Headed back down the steps and unable to get closer than 30m
Back up, Arrow still pointing into the paddock. Checked the WP. Looked along and around, up and down, but could not find the way in. Official looking ute parked at fenceline. We felt fenced out! Retreated;

Really good hide didn't take any swaps great fun once we got the maths right haha
Had to do the calculations twice, messed them up the first time.very good hide, if you didn't know to look you wouldn't give it a second glance
After a quick call to a fellow cacher sat night after a dnf due to phones and gps sending us all over the place just to double check that it was all in place we decided to come back at another time, l thought l would come back during my lunch hour at work and a quick find later log had been signed and l was walking back to my car.
Disappointed to see the gun club be forced out of this area and l believe there was a 4wd club frequenting the area for a small time and l thought they were still here but disappointed to see that the building that was there is now also gone
Lovely view from the gz

Some fine weather this morning for caching. A pity the original sign's missing, but thanks for including it in the pictures. Found GZ without any issues, all in good condition. TFTC
Bit windy? Standing in the gale staring at Pt Henry like it actually had some interesting aspect ... muggles gone yet? Standing virtually on the cache ... muggles gone yet? Took screwdriver, left geonickel, SL, TFTC.
Located @ 1608, a nice walk in the wrong direction before getting back on track.

I found this cache last time I passed through Geelong but didn't have a pencil to sign the log on hand so I trekked back to sign the log and visit the nearby trig point.
Grabbed the geocoin to move on.
Thanks

Found today with MrSnoop after a previous DNF because of the missing sign. After receiving the GZ co-ords from website, we soon located this cache. It was rather windy but a lovely day & great view. Left the GE Fortress Geocoin. Thanks for the cache.
Found after an energetic walk @ 1.05pm today with OzzieBear. It was good to tick this one off the list after missing it a few days ago. Thanks for the cache
Busy going through my GSAK database and updating caches I haven't sent a log for. Have been using GSAK to keep tabs on my finds. Thanks to the cache owners for the caches. Working my way through those caches that require emails with answers.
This log marks cache find number 1150 for WazzaAndWenches.
The wind was howling today so it was not a good day much outdoor stuff. We did, however, sneak out to find a couple of caches and to gather the WP's for another one.
While gathering those wp's we drove quite close to the original WP1 for this cache. With the amended WP1/GZ not far away we made a quick find before heading to the next cache.
TFTC.

Started taking the long tedious difficult route to the cache, soon realised my mistake and headed back, got to gz, thought I was in the wrong spot until.. Ah oh bugger how did I miss that. Not to worry, retrieved the cache signed the log then I was off again.

Having filled the hungry beast before the usual 15 or so cents/L price rise [:(!], it was time for a couple of caches. This was the first and using the 'Traditional' method, I headed to GZ where the nicely hidden stash was in hand at 09:50.
Great views on such a glorious morning .
There was a little moisture inside the cache but all is well at this stage.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks shane.thompson.
PS: There was no sign of the Drachenelch geocoin in the cache.

Tried for this one quite a while ago only to discover that things had changed. Came prepared today and soon had the cache in hand. No sign of helicopters here today. Not windy and beautiful views of the bay. TFTC shane.thompson
Treated this as a trad, found easily this evening, thanks to Shane for this one. Pity the clues for the multi have gone but the view is fantastic from GZ with action in the marina on this balmy evening
Headed over to Geelong for my first time to attend a hardcore gig at The National Hotel. This trip was made with a purpose because I did not get to watch them play over at Dandenong when the show was called off halfway after some security guards started punching kids and the cops came, so at least I had an excuse to cache here. I woke up early to take an early train down so I could have time to cache before the gig started. After an hour's ride on the train, I reached Geelong at 10am and began my Geelong caching run. 9 finds today with many failed multis. Guess it wasn't my day for multis today. The weather was a pain too, it kept raining and stopping ever since I arrived at Geelong and not to mention muggle trouble the whole way. I enjoyed the walk around and even the show was great. Trained home after the gig at 5pm.
Only reason I found this cache was because it was not really considered a multi, more like a trad since coordinates are already given. Found the cache in plain sight so after signing the log, I gave it more camo. TFTC Shane.thompson

Quasar3671 and myself had a plan to grab some caches in Inverloch area. However plans changed as they do and we ended up on the other side of the bay for a late night run. We stopped pass this on the way and thought the coordinates where wrong so we left it and gave it another shot when we came back. We could not believe what we missed. TFTC
Headed out tonight with C@H. Originally I'd planned to head to Inverloch but C@H changed my mind by tempting me with the option of us being able to pick up some more difficult caches on the other side of the bay in Geelong.
It worked.
We looked for the cache while heading over to the nearby kiln but couldn't see it. Once the kiln cache was found we came back and worked our way back up to the spot we were first looking. Quickly found it this time, my GPS was a bit out the first time but spot on the second.
Would be great views from here. TFTC.

Well, geo-hubby found it. I foolishly believed my GPS! Lucky I didn't end up swimming! TFTC
The sign is no where to be seen, not on the post, not on the ground, maybe the owner could just write the required numbers on the post or something, or even in the logs? Lovely area on a sunny evening.
Edit: Owner helped out with the final coordinates due to the sign missing. Gps landed us directly on GZ, took nothing, left a plastic replica 10cent peice, noticed there is a page listing information about geocoin PC8HBK but there is no coin. Once again, lovely area.

We visited the posted co'ords on the only to find the information sign had totally disappeared. Having our curiosity about the VAWT aroused, we used a couple of resources to learn more about the turbine and the details needed to locate the cache. Returning at dusk we used our calculations to locate the cache as a redfireball of sun sank behind Geelong.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt shane.thompson

This was my first cache of the day on my way for the EMU tour.
As I approached WP1 it was full of activity as the day was going to be a cracker to fish.
A quick look for the answers had the family in the car next amused, but hey I've also been a scientist for the Meteorology society!!
After computing a gz I took off and first thought I was way out.
But as I approached I recognised a clever little hide.

This place is REALLY creepy/dodgy on a sat night, lucky I was with Rog...
We quickly got the required information and GTFO!
Cache was located without too much troubles.
Thanks shane.thompson for this cache. Must try and come back here in the daylight to admire the views.

A nice easy find with the geokids, on a windy afternoon. Kids swapped toys. The cache was a bit wet inside, we dried it out as best we could. TFTC!
We have loaded fireworks equipment on to the barge for The Dennis Walters Carols here a few times but hadn't noticed the turbine. Today we came here just for enjoyment and found wpt1 very interesting indeed. Although the wind wasn't that strong the turbine was spinning at quite a speed. We collected the information and sorted out the co-ords and then did a fair bit of walking, going "Nope, not that way, nope, not that way" before finally believing the GPSr and locating the cache which unfortunately was quite wet. We drained the water out of the container and the log book was still usable.
Thanks shane thompson for showing us this unusual turbine

Bit windy down here....didn't I hear that somewhere? Nice that they provide the energy for the lights down at the ramp. I thought the generator was pretty nicely designed.
I loved the turbine, takes up a lot less space than the windmill type and would have to be more efficient as it is always facing into the wind. The views at GZ where great too.
Thanks.
Thanks.
The kids love this type of multi where they learn something and do some maths.Nice place if it wasn't for all the rubbish blowing around. TFTC SL.

I worked out the co-ords a couple of weeks ago but was unable to continue to GZ until the 12th of April. Princess and I had a nice little stroll to the spot that was obvious from way back. Before I left I tried to make it look a bit more "natural". The turbine was not rotating this time and the bay was like glass!
