Its had its fair share of cachers and it hasnt had a find for 3 months so time to say goodbye to a memerable cache.
Great spot! Someone has pilfered the pencil though. I will have to remember to bring one next time. TNLN
Found at 1.55pm GAFF1. Not sure that we approached this cache the correct way, but we hit it from the east after finding the tracks from the south fenced off with a new housing estate development. Got to within 70 metres of GZ, but unfortunately we attracted a lot of attention from the neighbours who even got out their binoculars to see what we were upto in our vehicle - possibly thought we were upto some hanky-panky, but sadly they were bitterly disappointed.
Thanks Team Woodbats - we love these type of caches where we have to find a way in and experience a bit of adventure.

There is a newly constructed fence at the park. We headed off anyway and soon had the find. There was nobody around which made things easy. TFTC Team Woodbats. [573]
After we had stopped laughing from the previous find this one was found quickly. Signed the log, replaced and off we went. Took and left nothing. TFTC
We took a little while to scope out the best way in, but ended up being an otherwise quick and easy find.

Thanks for the Cashe!

After the GPS gave us a tour of the local streets we found it quickly once at the GZ. TN Left pirate gold. TFTC Happy Easter
Don't know what track Jumpedin2it used, but I couldn't find out how to drive in, so just found a gap between a couple of houses and walked in. Very muddy.
Cache had been muggled. But log, TB etc still there. Only one cache container, so don't know about the second one. ???
Took TB tech, which I've had before (didn't realise when I picked it up). TNLNSL TFTC

We did this one on a rainy Saturday - dodging showers. The rain had made the track incredibly muddy and a recently erected fence prevented the 4WD from getting close. We jumped over the fence [not sure if this is now private property] and plodded through the mud. We got to GZ and saw the cache - but it was totally empty! On further investigation at the site we located another container and came up trupms with this one. We picked up the Gingerbread GC and dropped off the Old Tech TB. TFTC
Great cache. Very wet, loads of mossies. Managed to leave with a bit of blood left.
Found with Darth Trader. TFTC

took chuppa chup (lanyard) left domino.
also dropped in travelcoin gingerbreadman to start his mission. also picked up TB to move on.

Wonder how long this one will last with all the new estate going up around it? Great find though!

Heading back to Kurri where we left one of the cars we stopped off for a quick find, drove right up to GZ not sure if we were allowed to but no one came to say we shouldn't so all good. TFTH. TNLN.
Walked in from the road. Found the cache with no problems - didn't see the decoy though. Buried it back in it's hidey hole. TFTC.
We had completed the nearby "Chuck a whip bro" and started on the trails when I went to turn on the hand held GPS. It was then that "SH!T I left it on the Bull Bar back at the Cache" came into the conversation. I stopped the Geomobile and checked the Bull Bar expecting not to see the GPS but there it was. Phew thank God for the smooth ride of the 4x4 Hilux. I had visions of returning to find the squashed remains of a Gizmo
Once the relief of that moment had passed we bounced our way to GZ for a very quick find. I was just about to replace the Cache when a Muggle and his dog came along so I just waited until they had passed. I've no idea what he must of thought we were up to but what the heck it’s a free country. There was no way he spotted me replacing the cache and as I was parked 20 metres from the hidey hole I'm sure it’s all fine.

Muddy walk in and glad I didn't bring the little car all the way. Found the location without trouble. TFTC
[I decided to make this cache a large test tube like thing instead] left last container as decoy
Nice easy drive by in the 2wd. The container is not holding up and should be replaced before the contents get ruined.

We could have driven to the site in 2wd - but we wouldn't attempt it in the wet Instead we parked back at the sewage pump station and walked the last 200m. Also found our first ever Geocoin - TB2CX02 . . . yeah!!! We've collected the Pickle (Pickle the Good Ones!) and it's off to Batemans Bay later this month. Left some bubbles.
Placed "Pickle The Good Ones" Geocoin in this cache today. I found it in Carrington this morning.
up this way for an eistedford for my geo-daughter
thought me and the boys would find the local caches while we waited
lots of trails here
would suit motor cycle riders well
short walk from parking spot

Access to this cache was a bit of an adventure in a 2WD car, but Sol de lune & mtrax persisted to make it a drive-by. TFTC.
Found on day 3 of our Newcastle/Nelson Bay invasion from Canberra while heading towards home. Good place for a cache, but just check the container, needs to be a little more robust. Thanks for showin gus the area.
Found on our Newcastle / Port Stephens invasion from Canberra!
He he - this was fun! Have you ever tried navigating rather lumpy dirt roads in a low-to-the-ground Holden! It was fun trying to follow the 4x4 ahead, that's for sure! Nice location for a cache. Coordinates spot on! Mind you, the container is rather sad! - A stronger container would be good!

I think the most impressive thing about this cache was mtrax getting his car in here! As with the previous find this container has started to leak.
Thanks Team Woodbats for the find. If you want to have a chat about containers or hides feel free to drop me an email at [email protected] and I'll be happy to give you a few tips.

Last one for the day. All tracks lead here and the little Mazda3 drove right up to GZ...
A few trail bikes were out but over in the new part of the estate.
Grabbed Nemo and left some jewelery (I don't think it is worth millions)

TFTC,
Nice easy find, maybe a bit too simple as it seems to be easily seen. Geokid covered it up, with some leaves.

Found this one whilst out for a day caching with TheWobblys and The Don.
The team were particularly interested in this one because this is the site of the old Heddon Greta Speedway.
