No luck

Couldn't find it though we looked hard

Late Log... looked for this wednesday morning for 10 minutes before going to work but still no go. Asked a fellow geocacher at work and they came with me after work but it wasn't where they found it some time ago so still no luck. oh well, we will try again another time.

Today Fangsoki, Pprime, Crew 153 and myself decided to get together for a daytrip south of the border, picking up some generally older geocaches but little else in the way of plans. Having come south via the Lions Road, we headed into Casino and this was my first geocache stop for the trip. In the shed were two blokes doing some business, but they paid us no attention at all and we were free to do our thing.

Back on 27 April 2013 I failed to find this geocache despite a long hunt. Though it was at 23:00 and likely just harder to find. Today though, four sets of experienced eyes didn't take too long to find the little guy. Fangsoki, who had previously DNF'd it also, was the one to spot it. Seems he interpreted a few clues from the listing page.

We signed the logbook and replaced all as found. Then I hopped along the logs back to the car. Back in 2013, this was the only unfound geocache in Casino for me - the map has changed a lot since then. Finds have been archived and new icons have appeared. But for now, we're headed east and a different town. Thanks for this geocache, WaldenClan

Captain Terror, Crew 153, Pprime, and myself were in the vicinity grabbing a couple of caches.

Five years ago I could not find this cache - despite looking for the beast. I did particularly remember this one and how it eluded me. But not today. I had it no time at all. I noted a few things in the description of the cache and soon found it this time.

We signed the log and re-hid it as found. I am a happy camper to have this one found. A nice little area to visit. TFTC WaldenClan

Out today with Fangsoki, Captain Terror and Crew153 driving down the road, stopped for a little leg stretch. With the four of us here it didn't take long to be spotted.

I was with Fangsoki, Pprime and Captain Terror on a day trip from Brisbane. We were targeting some of the older caches in the area. This cache was one that we found on the way.

This cache was on our target list and we were a bit concerned that the shed was occupied by a couple of fellows doing some business. A quick chat to them and they ignored our activity.

A bit of a search around before the cache was located.

This one took a bit to search out. Luckily no muggles today as we looked all over the place. Unfortunately not every thing here is metal. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

We planned a few weeks ago to spend a couple of days in the Lismore/Casino area to do some caching then attend our geo-friend DiamonJs Leap Dinner event before caching our way home up the Summerland Way.

Beware wasps! Nano found and no one injured.

Log sheet is full - needs new log, also magnet seems to have lost its grabbing power. Cache was loose and wouldn't stick back onto metal.

No luck for us today and then we were muggled out.

Well its Christmas Day and we're staying in Casino for a few days, we planned on having a seafood picnic on the beach at Ballina but the storms and rain put a stop to that so we had our lunch back at camp, cleaned up and went caching for Christmas.

A bit tricky but we finally found it.

Great spot take about ten minutes to find

On our way to Lennox Heads from Qld and this is always a good place to stop and stretch the legs. Have looked for this cache once before and no luck, so we were determined to find it this time. After a few minutes of looking, and no luck again, saw a lady walking towards us, "is she a muggle?" No another geocacher so we had an extra set of eyes. Cache soon found, signed, and after a chat we were off on our way. TFTC

Left kids to work the Lismore show and ran away to grab caches on the way to Casino. This was the 4th one and I expected it to be tricky given the size. Upon arrival at GZ I noticed two lovely ladies who, from behaviour, I assumed to be fellow caches... Decided not to wait but go introduce myself and join their hunt. Turns out they too were out of towners. Together we searched and low and behold we soon had cache in hand. Not too tricky after all. Tftc

As Darkness is a frequent visitor to Casino (every few weeks), this cache has 'got under Darkness's skin' for quite a while as GZ always seemed to be 'muggle infested'. Never nice. . . .and today . .school hols . .mid afternoon . .and not a blighter in sight! It took a good ten minutes to find . . .but look ! . . a nice fresh new log
. . . . .and months of frustration are over. TFTC Waldens !

Easy find by geo wife

Quite an adventure. I searched everywhere but to no avail. Then a workman from the road works wandered over to check what I was up to. I showed him my Lions lapel pin and so he assumed I was on official business, so he helped me with the search. The two of us found nothing so I have to register it as a CNF.

I have a BIG milestone coming up and am needing to get the numbers just right for the correct week-end.
So a big day out caching is needed. I basically have gone from Maclean to Grafton to Casino to Lismore today for about 50 caches.
I found the first cache just before 6am and made the last find for the day just before 5pm.
I am now in Casino and I have missed lunch but I must keep caching to get my quota for the day.
A short search before finding this one. [^]
The container is OK, just the magnet has fallen out. I have had this happen on one of my caches. The log book is FULL though.

Not sure why this one is NOT magnetic. It should be a magnetic nano. I will check it next time i pass.

Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass, at 1210. Guessed where we'd be heading before we arrived. A wonderful organisation that does great things for the locals. Found after a short search, although it didn't match the description. Our thanks to WaldenClan.

Nice and quick find.

Log is full and there is very little space to write anything.

Magnetic base on cache is no longer there but the hiding spot works without it.

I am happy that I post this smilie and I am happy that I found it, I was here a couple of weeks ago but with limited time and yes then I thought "oh yeah, this will be a simple &^%" ummm no. This time we had even limited time but determined it was not going to get past us. Very nice hide. TFTC

WOO HOO finally found it after spending over an hour (trying to look inconspicuous ) on Saturday I was ready to put this as a DNF, but after looking at older posts and a photo I had a better idea of what we were really looking for lol so on our way back from Lismore I tried again and FOUND IT .. you guessed it I am happy lol Signed log and then went to look for more TFTC

Easy parking at night, I parked right beside GZ. No luck initially, gave the whole structure a going over (as high as I could reach I mean) without success. Then I checked older logs, a photo log in particular was useful to help pinpoint GZ. I went to that section and literally saw the cache straight away! Somewhat lucky, and thank goodness, because it was my last one for the night and follows two DNFs... It would have been discouraging to get three in a row! Thanks WaldenClan

PS. Log is almost full (two spots left), will need replacing after a couple more finds.

A lot of road works out there. A great spot to pull in for a tick and check out the oval.

Honestly I think we found it but there was no log or anything just a tiny cach. I'm unsure if that was it because the activity said we needed a pen? But for what?

Took a couple of visits to find this one - we are sure we've looked in that exact spot before!!!

Decided to do a little caching around Casino on our way through as we head slowly wouth back to Tas. An easy find for us with all the picnicking muggles all sitting up the other end of the park.

This cache was found as part of team M-SEZ's amazing 6 week family caravanning holiday adventure! We've just spent a week on the Gold Coast and now on our way to Canberra...via the scenic route!

A quick stop as we were passing through town. Found by Mr M-SEZ while the noisy geo kids distracted the muggles. TFTC

THis is a very nice place for a cuppa break and a cache.
Not many muggles around here today and another safe hide logged and off again.

My GPSr took me to the small picnic shelter but I widened my search and soon found the wee cache. Log signed and we were on our way.

Awsome spot

Egginthesky and I were caching around Casino this evening and this was the last one left in the whole town. We were impressed with how well we had done to do this many. About 11:00PM we arrived at this one and as expected, a deserted GZ. A full moon, streetlights and torches made the hunting easy.

After a prolonged hunt over everything magnetic within 15m, we had nothing. No amount of checking previous logs helped, except that we noted there are less trees than when DevilDog3 took his photo

I fear this one may be gone, but it was the last of a long night caching and well, night time. Hopefully I'll get it next time.
