Not been available since Oct last year despite numerous DNFs.

07-Jul-13
Sorry guys.
Looking after this one for Bro who has moved away.
I will end ever to fix it.

01-Jun-13
As per kinkell1's log. I agree. Been unfound for too long and no logs from the CO to confirm if they've checked it.

28-May-13
No-one else marked it so I will. With so many dnf's and from some long suffering cachers, guessing this one needs to be checked!

26-May-13
Hmmm, ditto what everyone before me has logged. It gets a little frustrating when these show up in PQ's purely from lack of maintenance. Especially when it's obviously been gone for a while.

26-May-13
Searched high and low with SUlly1 and then came back with Wazza and Jnr Wench who had found it previously. No joy here, has to be gone............

25-May-13
Looked and looked but could not find it. With Kinkell1, TilleyTB and k1w1kiwi.

25-May-13
Didn't find with k1w1kiwi, Misschief18, highrod, the 2 Wanderers and Tilley TB before the Wedderburn event. Think this one might need checking!

25-May-13
Had a search around with a few fellow cachers after the event, didn't come up with anything Sad

25-May-13
There was a few teams seeking this one but none of us could come up with the goods unfortunately did find a few broken remnants so thought maybe this one was missing in action Sad

25-May-13
We too looked without find. Needs checking by co or disabling.

04-Feb-13
Looked around for long time, think muggles may have been here. No sign of cache needs tlc guys.

28-Oct-12
I looked around here for quite a while and had no luck. Usually I would just leave a cache like this and come back in a few days and try again, hoping like hell that the cache blindness had gone away.

This time though I noticed a couple of things that made me curious, one was a glad zip-lock bag (empty) near GZ, and the other was a broken NAB pen just near GZ too.

Not sure if it has been muggled or perhaps it's a coincidence. Either way, I'll wait to see if someone else has luck with this before returning.

Beautiful spot. Will come back to visit/camp. Thanks.

02-Jun-12
Found in the dark on the way back from doing the nearby night cache.

02-Jun-12
It was fully dark before we arrived at this cache, so I suspect we didn't take the easiest route to GZ.
A quick find (and nobody broke anything!)
Thanks, Robmc.

This log marks the 1336th smiley to be recorded in the stats of WazzaAndWenches.

Another GC Event, this time in Wedderburn.
Today we looking for a few caches in and around Wedderburn, climbing Mt Korong later in the day then spending time with caching friends around the campfire later tonight.

Just before our night meal we ducked out to this area for three finds. Two were quite easy but the third proved a long winded exercise. This was one of the easy ones.

Thanks n.s.e.w.where?

25th find for the day. After settling in to Wedderburn caravan park a group of cachers went out for this one.

Great time getting this one! Thinking i'll be marking this place down for a future camp too! Big thanks to n.s.e.w.where? TFTC

29-Feb-12
It was a still, calm almost eerie afternoon when we arrived near GZ. A low mist was hanging about, very picturesque location. A short ramble around the shoreline then the littest Cacher, 'Miss The Comrades' found this one in a jiffy without the GPSr or clue - I am sure us 'elder' cachers would have been flummoxed without clue or GPSr, but there you go. Nifty hide in a lovely location. With 'The Comrades'. Thank you to 'n.s.e.w.where?' for the cache and its location. TNLN.

19-Feb-12
Found 10.20am
After a coffee at Wedderburn we turned off the highway to try for this cache. Parked next to the boat ramp and had the place to ourselves. A short walk round the edge of the lake had us facing many places to hide a cache. We were pleased to find it in the second place we looked.

16-Sep-11
Found at 5.45pm GAFF1. We camped here for the night after a fairly long drive from Tanunda - we have to be in Melbourne tomorrow morning!
After setting up camp we headed off to search for this cache and at one stage thought that it was all over with the high water level. However the cache was found just 1 metre from the high water mark.
Thanks n.s.e.w.where?

20-Aug-11
On one of our regular Thursday walks in the area, DaveBarb and the old blokes made a detour to this one only to find it still full of water and the log unusable.
So we came back today and gave it a new logbook, and gave the box and its contents a good rinse out.
She's ready to rock on now!

18-Aug-11
A Surprisingly sunny morning after the recent cold winds and rain, on the way to 'climb' Mt Kerang We, with the 'old blokes', found the cache, unable to sign the log as it was waterlogged. Brian of the 'old blokes' said he would replace the log with a dry one. Skinners Flat Reservoir this morning, was looking very picturesque with the morning sunlight reflecting across the water. A view to behold in Wedderburn!!....davebarb

Looks like it would have been interesting trying to get across the water course when it was overflowing. The lake is still full with the cache only just out of the water. Used the note page by If to log (after draining yet more water out of the cache).
A lovely little spot.

21-Feb-11
Early morning and the bitingly cold breeze was blowin' in across the lake.
My numb fingers struggled with the buttons on the GPS as I tried to locate GZ.
There wasn't much distance to cover from the picinic area, but it was up and down Smile
With the dam at capacity the distance between GZ and the waterline was zero [:o]
Being careful not to fall in the water I looked in some likely hiding places.
Five minutes more chilling by the breeze yielded a cache Big Grin
It had been underwater again and I tipped out some lovely brownish liquid.
I could save the contents, but not the logbook (it's soaked again).
I signed me name on a bit of notepaper and added it to the cache.
This was an unexpectedly nice spot to stop.
If only it were summer and the temperatures were a bit warmer Razz

A short drive from our camp.
A nice picnic spot and swimming hole for locals - complete with boat ramp.
The cache was just above the waterline, but the contents were damp and mouldy
A pleasant spot.

Had to take out the note pad to dry it off. Will return it in a couple of days. The water had risen and saturated the contents.

Hey good hide guys but unfortunately due to the large rains recently it was saturated wet, all in all good fun

We found this cache 2:55pm as the 18th of 21 on route from Melbourne to Renmark. A very pretty, well hidden and unmarked spot for the passing traveller. A nice place to log our 3,900th cache. Thanks for showing us this hidden gem. Thanks from D, HA and A B-A.

Well I was surprised that I located this hide, using the compass I had an error of 55 metres, and yes it was calibrated correctly. Map view put me in the general area and it soon became obvious. TNLNSL TFTC

We approached this cache site with trepidation as we sighted all those rocks, but with excellent co-ords P-P had the cache quickly in hand and was heading to a shady tree to complete the log. A very sad sight to see such a picturesque area devoid of water.

PS - Note for cache owner, we didn't notice a stash note or any other material or signage that identifies your container as a Geocache.

We pulled up on to a boat ramp that obviously hasn't been used for many years and a short but very slippery walk to gz followed. The GPSr led us directly to the cache which was found in the second place we looked. Thanks n.s.e.w.where? and acjgrant, we hope this area soon returns to it's former glory

04-Sep-09
Found by Mary & David at 0915. Usually we have lots of trouble with caches in rocks (and on guns), but the satellite gods were smiling today. Like so many other water storages, the boat ramp is high and dry. Plenty of wattle in flower. Our thanks to n.s.e.w.where?

Homeward bound after the Food Bowl event, we collected a few more caches that we had missed on the way up on Friday.. Met up again with the Mooses here as well and Shelley told us that there was a truck/car smash on the Bendigo Bypass and so we decided we would do all your caches today whilst waiting for the road to be clear. As it turned out we still had to detour via Kangaroo Flat (Hi Romax) to get home. It was very late by the time Swaggie1 finally got home. TFTC nsew where et al.

Find # 3076 and 9th of the last day at 4:24 pm. Accompanied by Iain from the Swaggies on the way home after "Let's raid the food bowl" event in Midura. Picked this one up on our way home from Mildura. A bit of water in the dam, and hopefully a little more with the rain of the last few days. Spent a short while scrambling around but soon the cache was in hand. No swaps made. Thanks for the cache!

30-Aug-09
Found at 1710. Got to GZ, and this wasn't the first time I've said 'S**t' as to the caches surroundings. Fortunately, the cache was placed a little more strategically than some others I have found in similar locations and we had it found within a couple of minutes.
Nice area here.

Thanks.

30-Aug-09
My maternal Grandmother's family name was Skinner and lived over this way, it made me wonder whether they had any connection to this area. We parked nice and close and began searching. It wasn't long before the cache was turned up and we were happy not to have to spend ages searching under a heap of rocks for it. As others have commented the absence of water was sad to see but the wild flowers were a silver lining.

Thanks,

R + W - B

Found by Roma and Max.
Fourth find on our roundabout journey to the Mildura geo meet!
Having just come from 2 unsuccessful geo searches it was reassuring to make this find.
As is now unfortunately a common sight, this reservoir is quite low compared to what it must have been when the boat launching ramp was installed!
Thank you again n.s.e.w.where? & acjgrant.
