#421 Great area, holidaying from Caringbah, NSW, river was flowing quick and would be fun on a tube. TFTC.
Spotted this one on a hunch based on the coordinates but I see now that the hint will be helpful for anyone confused by the original description. Quick find on a lovely walk, a couple of muggles in the vicinity enjoying the holiday, but there was plenty around for us to look at while we waited for a moment. Found with ktbrwn1. TFTC
Busied ourselves reading the baggage limits waiting for the fisher muggles to stop gawking found with geogeneve.
What a lovely spot! The water is so clear (& cold). Had to wait for two muggles and their dogs to move on. Easy find. TFTC
I've kayaked passed here several times in the distance past. The good old days. The older I get the better I was. TFTC The Emongs

We decided to pick up these 4 caches around the Wetlands as we came into Tumut. The paths were slippery in places after all the rain of the last week, but we managed to stay upright. It started raining when we were at the third cache of the four, but we just pulled up the hoods on our hoodies and kept going. By this time we were quite damp and our shoes were muddy and wet. SL at 11.23am Left: a rescue vehicle because the water is quite high at the junction! #8991 TFTC a and the fun The Emongs
#6002.
We decided to take a stroll next to the river on a lovely winters day and managed to find this cache. We’ve been here previously, but always forgot to bring a pen along. This spot is another of of favourite places in Tumut. TFTC!

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

Hi there The Emongs,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue with the placement. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)

Found it however I think the mice did too. Needs maintenance asap! Thanks for the Cache
After dropping off some steel frames for galvanising in Gundagai, I took a drive in the country side to collect some caches. I arrived in Tumut before lunch and decided to take a walk around the wetlands. I spotted these two kookaburras (see picture) enjoying the sunshine. On arrival at the GZ, I found the logbook outside of its container and the container missing its lid. Container and logbook need to be replaced.
Between (and during) showers did a quick walk around the wetlands with part of my family. In between doing two bed counts and standing under a tree I found a few caches.
Another one amongst the long wet grass. Not certain where originally placed (based on the hint ) but quickly found. Log dampish but fine to sign.

Despite my reservations about sticking my hand where it doesn't belong, we scored! Go us!
#6031 25th for today
I was starting to get a bit stir crazy at home so I decided to head out and grab a few caches around the Adelong & Tumut area. It was a beautiful sunny day, not too hot and mostly muggle free, for obvious reasons. I was a bit late getting away due to ScoMo's broadcast this morning. But I still managed to make a good impact on the unfound caches in the region. I particularly enjoyed the wander around the old gold-mining works around Adelong. A bit of water flowing through here today and with the green, it was good to see. Also enjoyed the walk around the wetlands in Tumut. Some lovely views along the Tumut Plains road later in the day too.
Apologies for the smell of hand sanitizer on the log. I went through a lot today.
I nervously waded through knee-high grass to access this cache.
Thanks The Emongs

We are caching with AF-BEE, GeoWinch78 and 6ftzpr&1/2zip making our way from Jindabyne to Albury enjoying the scenery and grabbing some caches as we go. We are taking a driving break and stretching our legs. Thanks The Emongs & Polliwogs for the cache.
There was a small group of "us" heading off to meet more of "us" in Tumut for the weekend. Our merry band of misfits was made up of MTrax, Tankengine, Joolay, Aquilus1 and myself. In the car we all thought of a name that we could call our gang, but in the end we decided it was a Canberra Invasion Trip that we were on so just went with CBR5. We signed logs either indiviually or with the group name.
It was an awesome weekend all up, with lots of fun with friends. We cached all day then met up with the rest of the Invasion Team for dinner Saturday night, then cached some more on Sunday until it was time to head home.
**The Cache** Last one in this area. A straight forward find by MTrax. We had a last look at the river, before heading back to the car and off to the next cache. Tftc The Emongs & Polliwogs!!!

Day 2 of our invasion of Tumut saw us packing up camp before heading out for a full day of caching.
Teamed up with Albida33 for the most part of the day before we headed home.
Quick find here today

Of course, we also had a lot of other Canberra cachers in town this weekend, and we all had a dinner on Saturday night at the pub! A canberra caching invasion of Tumut this weekend, saw dty73, Tankengine, Mtrax, Joolay and myself stopping for this cache. Logs signed our caching team name, CBR5.
This was a great morning walk about, refreshing, but a beautiful morning and a great start to the day. Thanks for the cache, all good with it and easily found.

It is the second day of Canberra's Invasion of Tumut. It was a bright sunny day and I'm more relaxed with no plans made. Pa, the friendly but often impatient muggle, is however ready to go again after a day off, so I left it to him to plan the route we should take, filling in gaps that I hadn't previously cached.
It was great fun meeting up with fellow cachers around the traps, walking with them at times and exchanging hints , stories and ideas . Thanks to all who attended this weekend adding to a most enjoyable experience.
Unfortunately though, I feel as if I have logged more DNFs this weekend than in the rest of my caching life.
This obviously was not one of them, so the log was signed, usually as SG, as I often do in small caches to save space or when I am in a hurry.
Many thanks to COs for placing these caches which added to my experiences.

Out caching with GLISS as part of the Tumut invasion. We had a great day with mostly finds, only a few DNFs.
Glad it’s not summer with all that long grass! Gliss did the honours here. Tftc
