I spent a good 30mins trying, but a wee bit conspicuous with a pram!!!
Lots of hooks, line and glass but not any containers.
Beautiful day to be here.

Beautiful day to be here.
No luck today, be careful of the broken glass and fish hooks that litter the crevices.
I do not live in the area any more so checking this one would be a bit hard.
I will wait for a few more DNFs before archiving.
Thanks

nice day for fish n chips though.
Ventured along the break wall with the geo kids after a nice ice cream and purchasing some fresh fish for dinner.
(some snapper fillets which I cooked lightly with a teriaki sauce and came out georgeous)
I walked past all the boys wasting their time with wet nylon and my 5 year old daughter claimed the find.

My last find for the day. Although there were plenty people attempting to fish along the breakwater, it was quite easy to retrieve the cahce. Inadvertently, this also became my #150! TFTC

This was located in a spot which requires a nice walk out along the rock wall it. Nice little hide. Thanks for taking me out there! Tftc
Not many fishos about today, but we enjoyed the fish and chips nearby prior to the find.
Found with TassieGirl while here on holidays.
A couple of muggle fisherman where trying there luck a bit further down.
Thankfully on the other side so they didn't see what we were up too.
Found it ok, TFTC.

Sorry could not replace the log as had not read your note! A quick find and sign between the muggles. Another top spot. I fish and chipped for lunch at John Dory's. Yummy. Clear skies!
Could someone please replace log....
If not I will archive in the coming weeks.
All it needs is a A4 piece of paper. Lines would be a bonus.
Thank you

Cache number 15 for a Marathon cache hunt over the Easter weekend. A busy weekend of Madstars, great views, smelly spots, lovely beaches, high mugggle challenges, bush bashing, rock hopping, wet feet, meeting other cachers. Thanks to all the owners of the Geocachers in this area, you certainly made a great weekend away for the dkmacca team.

Geoteen got her GPS-reading-skills a bit skewiff, and had us walking to the wrong end of the breakwall. Oh well, at least we got to meet a nice couple who wanted their photo taken, and they insisted on taking ours! Then there was a family fishing near Ground Zero, and people on houseboats nearby, so we had to be stealthy. GeoMum felt around the hiding spot, dislodging the cache, leaving the find wide open for the other Geo-teen to find. A real team effort! Quite a busy spot on a hot Good Friday afternoon. After the find we went and patronised the local fish and chip shop. Delicious. TFTC.
This was a great place to watch the start of race 1 of the Sail Port Stephens regatta. This was another cache that Miss Shifter found, took about 5 seconds this time.

Great location. Enjoyed some beautiful Fish & Chips on the Marina wall as suggested. The Log is in serious need of replacing! Thank you.
Bit of a challenge with all the muggles around but it turned out they were more interested in the fishermen and what they were catching. TFTC
Dropped by the local seafood coop. to collect some lunch, just had to do this great little cache!!

A long weekend in Anna Bay and dropped by to grab this one on a bit of a walk around town. Fishermen were 'over the side' and facing the other way. Log sheets are very full.
TFTC though.

Great spot.Over from Hawksnest, for the day. Had no pen, so took a picture instead. TFTC.
Reperio at 1335. Icy poles and water got us over the line on this one, as we weren't doing anymore caching until we had cooled off a little. Probably missed out on eating 25% of the icy pole as half of it had dribbled down my arm before I could get it into my mouth, but the nearby cache was found, so that made up for it.
Gratias.

Fresh fish, to catch or buy? Yes please. Lots of options here. Plenty of boat action around too. Fueled up on drinks and icy poles and made the find.
Found it with no trouble. Little bay pirate needed to know every fish/shark on the fisheries sign. You know, just in case you see one.
#546, found at 12:39.
Quickly found.
Logbook is full. We have squeezed us in there somehow though. Unfortunately, we havenĀ“t had a new sheet with us to provide it for the next cachers.
When we left the Cache, we saw a small penguin drifting along in the marina... very funny little guy .
TFTC and regards,

We managed to dodge muggles on a Saturday as it had just started to rain. This one has been on our hit list for a while as it is the closest to our house (as the crow flies, not by driving distance, although if we had a boat it would have made for an interesting cache log!) but we haven't had a chance to get here without the area being teaming with muggles! TFTC
After a DNF nearby went on a hunt to find a close by cache before leaving the area. Located by Jade. TNLN. SL.
what a lovely spot, came to Nelsons Bay a couple of years ago (prior to caching days) and never walked over to here, now come to log this and can't believe what we nearly missed, thanks
what a fab view back to the the harbour, went at sunset, definatly the best time as no one around and the sunset behind the boats was beautiful
Another nice one. Felt a bit exposed retrieving this but luckily not too many muggles about. The log was full but managed to find an empty spot to sign.

#4781 Found this cache as part of the Rats, Steeba & FarmerFrentzen blitz on the Port Stephens area. There were a few fisherman on the outer wall but we had GZ to ourselves.
thanks

Found on a mammoth day's caching of 124 caches in 17 hours around the Maitland and Port Stephens area with The Rats and FarmerFrentzen.
Quite enjoyed the walk out to this one. We spent more time looking at the boats than on the cache. A few people fishing nearby. We marvelled at the self righting rescue boat that was nearby. Wouldn't want to be out in that when it was being used for its intended purpose. TFTC!

Found during a 17 hour caching spree with The Rats and steeba that yielded 124 finds.
An enjoyable walk along the breakwall and a quick and easy find while admiring the vessels.

Went out today to replace log but would you believe there were fisherman everywhere....
Will try again Sunday.

Log is full and pretty beaten up. Needs replacement. Owner to check.
Great spot for an early morning walk and quick find. A few fishermen but no muggles at this time on a Sunday morning in beautiful Nelson Bay. TFTC.

Nice location we sat watching some guys enjoying an afternoon fishing. TNLN thanks.
Thought we would make a day of caching at Nelsons Bay so ibar29 was dropped at our place and off we went for a fantastic day.
This one was an easy find although we had to wait for the muggles to leave.

We're visiting this area and had actually tried to find this cache the day before -- BUT just as we were heading out to locate it - the wind picked up and nearly blew us into the water and then it started raining AND hailing. None-the-less, we kept going. Then as we got to GZ - hanging on and hoping for a very quick find -- oh man! There's a couple, right below the cache - being shielded from the wind and with some very romantic activities going on. And so -- we ran back to shelter - hoping that we wouldn't be blown into the bay. Today -- all was calm -- the pelicans were keeping an eye on everything -- the cache was right where it was supposed to be -- ahhhh so much easier. Thanks for the great spot (and the mini-adventure)
Had a lucky find with this one. There was a lady fishing no more than 4 metres away but I still managed to sit down with my newspaper and suss out the cache without her having any idea what i was up to. TFTC Greg.
on my second attempt there weren't any fishos at the gz this time but a few close by but managed to grad it quickly.

Last for the day, at the Port for lunch at friends, this is a new part to us, lots of fishos, not catching anything nor paying attention to me on this cold afternoon.
Fishermuggles everywhere, but it turned out to be an easy find. Thanks Madstars.

We have had a GREAT weekend Caching with the KALM Explores in the Nelson Bay area loved all the spots that you have set aside.
The MM container that was on the ground had us worried for a minute until Matt found the real booty
Just had a message from the famous HG (thehuntergahterers) they are in the area so be aware!

Caching in the bay with the Pirates of Pate today so where else would we end up but at the marina!!
Approaching GZ we were dismayed to see an empty M&M's container lying on the ground with nothing inside. Having found lots of Madstars caches we thought the game was up, but a quick check of the hint and real cache was in hand!!
So we signed the log and the kids tried to catch some fish but with no success

As we were walking around to this one, the guy from the fish and chip shop was discarding some left-over fish in the bin. There was no way we could get around as the pelicans were going crazy! Got some good pics though!

Found this on the way to Nelson Bay with Spikeymikey and we had a few varied seasons just in this cache alone. Started out raining, then wind, then nothing, then rain again. A fisho approached us for fish identification and didn't seem to have much of a grasp on humour when Spikeymikey offered to take it from him. But then when you look like one Ned Kelly's gang people are always going to be wary of you with their kids, valuables and fish.
Found in the dark with TheHeadChef.
Sprung by a nearby fisherman who wanted us to identify his fish. I didn't have any idea, but I did offer to take it from him just in case it was poisonous or something. He declined my offer! Some people are so ungrateful!

Found this one just after midnight. No one out there tonight but was a beautiful view out over the water. TFTC. Found with dodgy123.
Fouund at 2.10pm GAFF1. This place has some great memories for us. Last time we were here we bought some blue fin tuna from the co-op and when we lightly cooked it, it was melt in the mouth tender - best we ever had.

We took the fish and chips on the breakwater option today, though I only managed to get 1 kid to come along (thanks Jeremy). We walked out along the breakwater, carefully manouvering under the light post with the pelicans on it...the additions to the vehicle parked underneath were enough to make Jeremy very nervous!
At GZ, Jeremy came up with the goods. A quick log book signing and then it was back to the car to wait for Catherine and the rest with the fish and chips. Yum!
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache,
best wishes,
Wal

Found at 12.38pm on Bigmickb's Nelson Bay cache assault day. 6 from 6 for the day. Great view looking over all the boats. Just hope they weren't looking over me as I searched! TFTC.
