Travelling from Renmark to Mildura today and caching along the highway and roads. Found the cache and signed the log. TFTC
Today saw us firstly finding a few caches around Renmark before we headed east to Mildura - our next port of call as we make our way from Adelaide to Canberra. Also collected most of the caches along the Sturt Highway. Thanks to the COs for the placement of the caches - it is much appreciated.

The good news is we found it. The bad news is the container lid was wide open with the contents spread over a 3m radius. I’ve removed the spider webs & any contents that is now rubbish. Good to go again, but the CO may wish to visit and replace the now well weathered log book. (It is still usable). On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC grabbed while getting the PS series
TFTC we headed up to Cullulleraine to do the PS series over a couple of days since our last visit 2 weeks ago on the motor bike. This time we glamping… first day out getting the series after solving the puzzles. Algae solved most of them. Mind you i haven’t caught a fish yet!!!! So we decided that cause you was so windy we’re going to get some of the caches instead of fishing . Today we grabbed 53 off the series. The funniest part was we saw a shingle back, Algae picked it up and i took a photo of him sticking out his toungue like the shingle back for a photo and held it close to his face and the shingle Back licked his toungue it was so funny, the look of shock on his face…

Here in Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and now joined by Rebel Acts.
We'd just smashed out the geoart, but we still had some daylight left and decided to head into town for a coffee and a slice. We just had to find these caches along the way! Thanks for the cache doheng.

In Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and The Empire. After having these solved for some time and holds up getting here due to Covid the planets had finally aligned and today was the day to do the The Paddle Steamer Series and a few other caches in the area.
We had a great day out on the trails with perfect weather for caching with all caches in the series found.
Thanks doheng for the cache.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.
It was now time to head home after doing numerous trails while in the area a great caching adventure. We picked up numerous on our way home to break up the journey.
Quick find at this one.
Thanks for the hide doheng and for the fun Rapidlywild

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. With the teams now split and it was back to FurfacesLL and myself, we had heaps to choose from. Today was cleaning up around Loxton and making our way over to Mildura for the night, before making our way back towards Wagga tomorrow.
No issues with the find here, now onto the next find for the day.
Thanks for the hides doheng And thanks FurfacesLL for a trip to remember [^].

A plan was made for a group of us, (mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, BratKat and myself) to head over to Mildura for the long weekend as the borders are now open and we wouldn't have to quarantine on the way back. [^]
Two of us spent a long time solving all the puzzles in the Turtle and Paddle Steamer series along with the other puzzles around Mildura, but they were put away waiting for the time when we could get over to find the caches.
We had a very busy weekend and managed to find all of the Turtle and Paddle Steamer caches along with some of the high favourited caches, an Adventure Lab, one night cache, quite a few gadget caches and a couple of water caches...and then we ran out of time.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time finding lots of different caches and we will have to make a return trip to find those that we didn't get around to.
All caches stamped "Mystery Randoms" [^]
A quick stop and find as we drove past.
Thanks for the cache doheng.

After an 18 month geocaching hiatus, this March long weekend I tagged along with Mogni, Sir Specture, JJ52 and Allister (caching as the Mystery Randoms) to conquer the Mildura Paddle Steamer and Turtle. We were lucky to encounter good weather, fine caches and a lot of red dust! Many thanks to 4Moule and the Mildura caching community for creating an entertaining geo-destination. TFTC! See you again soon.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!
Over from SA for 4 days of caching with Egregory1, Featherwaite and Brisal5.
We came primarily to do the Paddlesteamer series but picked up orthers as we drove around.
Apologies for the generis logs.
All caches we found were in good order.
Thanks to all cache owners whose caches we found.

I headed over here to grab this GC to tick off another one for the UBD Vic Atlas challenge
A quick find in the dark.
Too dark to see where one needs to put the coins in to make it run.
However after we crossed the road we saw the beast. It was hungry. So we threw some coins at it.
We had to leave in a hurry when the Fire Brigade arrived to put out our BBQ.
TFTC... it was hot!!!

Well, my Mega and SA geotrip has come to an end so time to make the drive and nab a few along the way -stop, cache, survive!
I needed to stretch my legs and have a rest so this cache was a great excuse to stop on my way back to Canberra. No emus here today though!

A regular size, an oldie AND an ammo can! Plus it's a park and grab, good stuff! So much red dust here, it's kind of cool too. Took a bit to open but GreyHams had what I didn't to get into it.
Trip log... GreyHams log says it best, in all its glorious detail... so it really is, 'What he said!'
With GreyHams we set out for another chapter of our caching challenge... To find all the counties in NSW. We flew into Adelaide early Friday morning with a return plane from Melbourne Monday night. Taking advantage of some super cheap car hire driving one way from Adelaide to Melbourne. Of course, as a four day road trip it leads into collecting as many counties as was possible as we pass through SA and Victoria as well, with a few side trips for those that were close enough.
The counties a high priority but many caches of interest, the oldies are always great, about 16 2001 caches found plus many others just as old. Web Cams, virtuals, great DT which would see us complete our fifth loop of the DT grid, large caches and lots of regular sizes too. The trip list also included a cache type of each we were missing for each state as well.
Simply, if we stopped for a cache that had made it onto the list, it was not just any random cache, it was selected for a quality of some type we were seeking.
One of the harder things about caching after flying somewhere is that all the TOTT are left behind...usually! So it just had to be done and we took an esky with us on the plane for all those fabulous cold drinks along the way.
The thing I love the most is that we also took a ladder with us on the plane too!
We had targeted the 'on your bike' wherigo series, so many puzzles, so many hours of them so the ladder was important if we wanted to find all the high DT, up the tree caches... which we did! Later in Ballarat we went 'above and beyond' with the ladder once again. A truly essential item to have, we may now need to invest in that inflatable Kayak for future adventures too!
Perhaps it must be said that our route was the least direct way we could have traveled via the Hay Plains and Griffith, but covered a lot of road, counties and locations leading to yet another great trip. Although a number of park and grabs, made closer by our reliable and tough SUV, we also managed a lot of walks, hills, bush, and just a great variety as we explored the different areas.
We crossed the Murray river many times, a lovely healthy looking river system. After our recent trip from Adelaide to Sydney, via Broken Hill and Bourke the dry rivers out there are a very sad sight compared with the Murray.
With so much achieved that we had set out for it was a very successful trip but also an enjoyable one with many memories made and a new batch of stories too! Thanks to all the CO's for there caches that lead us in our travels.

Aquilus1 and myself are on a mission.... to collect all of the counties in NSW! but how to get to those 'hard to reach' ones from where we are in Canberra? It would be an awfully long round trip. The answer was supplied in the super cheap car rental deals available if you drive one-way from Adelaide to either Sydney or Melbourne... I guess too many cars do it the other way and the cars need to get back somehow. Flying to ADL on points meant fuel was by far the biggest transport cost we paid for.
This trip is actually trip number two.... to drive from ADL to MEL, via Hay & Griffith! Yeah, thats logical! It was fun explaining where we were going to people, we got a lot of strange looks. The first trip was ADL to SYD, via Bourke. The bonus of course is we have also cleaned up a lot of SA & VIC counties as well.
OK, so primary goal is counties but we of course had 5 or 6 goals. Oldies was definitely a priority, I think we picked up 16 hides from 2001 on the trip along with lots of 2002-2006's. D/T of course is never overlooked and we did well there, I think we will almost complete our fifth loop from this trip. Webcams, Virtuals and Wherigo's were all targetted and finally getting all cache types in each state.
Day 1 was us arriving in ADL at sparrows, with a ladder and esky that we checked in and driving as far as Barmera. We cleaned up the 'On Your Bike' series where the ladder really fulfilled its purpose (I never want to see another online jigsaw again!) and even stopped to grab the LBH on the way out.... after 9:30pm, and after I attacked the dirt road with my body and left a lot of skin on it. Note to self: dont lunge at dirt roads! Luckily the hotel in town was open and we obtained fine lodgings. The floor creaked when I looked at it, or breathed, or changed my mind, but the bed was the finest.
Day 2 was driving to Hay, apparently on their biggest day of the year! No motel had rooms but luckily the new hotel that was supposed to open next week was forced into opening on the very day we arrived.... I like fresh sheets but how about a bed that has never been slept in! The crossed the Murray about 5 times and it was always impressive. We saw the country side change hugely from Rivers, Mallee and the Hay plain.
Day 3 was going from Hay, around Griffith and actually turning south towards Melbourne.... it felt like a long way! We cleaned up a bunch of the counties, in fact all of them, west of and including Naranderra. My map on Project-GC is going to look so green! We got as far as the outskirts of Bendigo, stopping at the first Motel we saw.... it was better than it looked!
Day 4 was getting to the airport, which we did with heaps of time to spare. Checkin closed a huge 18 minutes after our arrival. Damn, we could have grabbed another cache in that time. Ladder back in its box and checked in. I love the fact we took our own ladder!
Now safely back at home I am already suffering from caffeine withdrawal, but thats the price you pay for living on Coke for 4 days.
Sorry for the long generic log, but it was a fun trip and I wanted to share.

Great weekend away in Mildura and surrounds grabbing some fantastic caches and catching up with friends. Drank way too much and felt very ropey all day on Sunday but woke up feeling revitalised for a Public Holiday Monday drive back to Adelaide.
This trip hasn't been about numbers its been about finding quality over quantity and was also great to come away with 7 multi finds as well towards our target of 500, whether we get there this year remains to be seen. Gave away a lot of favourite points here in Mildura some very good caching to be done here and hardly a mint tin in sight.
Saw one brown snake today which gave me the heebie jeebies at least I didn't step on one this time.
Nice quick drive by whilst on the way home from Mildura to Adelaide. TFTC doheng

Saw one brown snake today which gave me the heebie jeebies at least I didn't step on one this time.
Nice quick drive by whilst on the way home from Mildura to Adelaide. TFTC doheng
Interesting gas feature here, thanks for this hide doheng and greetings from New Zealand.
Travelling around Australia, today we hitched up the house and moved from Mildura to Renmark. With the recent rains it was a bit challenging stopping on the shoulder but all turned out okay.

Together with finderus today I viseted this cache by the trip from Mildura to Port Augusta. Thank You for the cache and greetings from Dresden in Germany
Easy grab and go by the road side. Amazing it’s been here for so long and hasn’t been stolen! TFTC Doheng!
Left Adelaide heading for the V8's at Winton, what a better way to seek a few Yellow faces along our route.
Some have been interesting as others not so, but without having a go we wouldn't have been brought to those special places in the Geocaching World.
Thank to the CO for maintaining these hides and getting us out of the car.

Had breakfast at an event in NSW and picked up a handful of caches in Vic before grabbing the one on the SA border and another across the road back in Victoria.
After picking up a few more SA road side caches, we made it to a lunch event in SA.[^]
A quick group photo and we were heading up the border track finding one in SA and one in Vic then a couple more in SA before heading back down and East again for the final event, dinner in Victoria.
This cache was picked up on our return leg and the rest stop break was most appreciated. [^]

After attending the 3x3 lunch time event it was time to head back east into familiar territory, Victoria and after making it safely back over the border i was heading to the next event but stopped to pick up a few on the way back.
I was wondering what this was as I drove past in the morning, so I stopped to have a look on the way back.
Thanks doheng TFTC.

How nice to find one of these out in the bush, it’s a long time since the last one of those we saw.
A great opportunity to stop and stretch the legs on the way back from the lunch event across the border, and heading back to the tea event in Mildura, after having had brekky at the early event in NSW - making 3 events in 3 states on one day
Thanks for the cache doheng.

Day 43 of my solo camping trip that had taken me from Adelaide, through Victoria and around Tasmania, then up to Queanbeyan and the ACT for the Clear Waters Mega event, then back to SA via southern NSW. One more day and I should be home.
The weather has held out beautifully and today I made mu way from near Mildura up to the northernmost point of Victoria, then down the Border Track.
Its been a great day, visiting some lovely places, with quite a few cache finds and a couple of nice walks.
This was a quick find as I headed west along the highway.
Thanks doheng for the cache.

Found on a road trip from Adelaide to Mildura. The cache was easily found so I didn’t even notice the cache title reference. My first ammo can find.

Found this one this afternoon while heading to Mildura from Renmark on a family holiday and we decided to grab a few caches along the Sturt Hwy and with time restraints only had time for a few park and grabs. Fortunately this one was quickly located and logged and we continued on our way, thanks doheng for the hide.
On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Lots of traffic. Kutgw
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula in South Australia from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Seemed a little weird having a gas works section in the middle of nowhere, but I guess there are properties that need it and it has to have places to maintain the pipes. Right? I don’t know, I’m a little tired.
Anyway the cache was across the road and was easy to find this great ammo can. There was an interesting swag inside which we thought we should leave for someone else who may need it more than us. Tftc doheng!!!

We are on our way from Canberra to the Yorke Peninsula and decided to do a little caching along the way as well. All logs signed DTY (dty73/Tankengine/youban). Nice quick find here thanks dh.
Heading home from Renmark after a few days away with family. A nice quick park and grab on the way home which was very welcome. TFTC doheng. All is well with the hide.
Being on a long road trip you try and avoid gas works inside the car. Getting out of the car is ok. TFTC
Great find , been a while since I’ve seen this one no pen so couldn’t write in book
Day trip to Mildura with all of Team-Ruphace, found a few caches for a souvenier / smiley run and crossed the border twice into 3 states in one day, including some sight seeing of the local histories.
