I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner attention for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

After 5 previous DNFs, the first being last December, I would have thought the CO would have checked it and logged as such. I like the others think this has gone!

DNF either guys. Must have looked hilarious searching on the side of the road, as I checked all metal fixings. Possibly lost
Visiting family for Xmas and had a look on the way back from orewa. No luck. With the frequency the cache 200 metres away is found and with this one not found in 2 months or more I think a 41-1 needs to be put in for this cache (a single fatality for those who don't speak the codes)
Has not been found for 2 months. I am pretty sure cachers have been visiting it and DNFed it, but did not log it. I'll keep an eye on this one see if someone finds it.
5585. Driving from Orewa to Hamilton picking up a few caches on the way. This was cache number 6 for the day. A quick and easy find. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
The firemen were out testing their hoses so while they were doing that, I made a quick find. TFTC.
Another cache for the day on "KiwifruitsNZ Day of Milestones".
Easy find and quickly moved on to the next one.

Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We spent the day out at Mahurangi West and Wenderholm, we then picked up a few more caches on the way back home. A nice quick find for this one.
Thanks for the cache!

A quick find as it was still very early morning and there was very little muggle activity to slow me down. TFTC

2.00pm. Not where we expected it to be, but it made for an easy quick pick up.
Thank you. David.

A couple of Aussies traveling from Auckland to Paihia to spend a few days in the Bay of Islands area. Having had many years of involvement with a similar volunteer organisation in Australia, it was a bonus for us to see the truck return from a callout this morning.
TNLN . . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt The Clan Fraser.

Grabbing a few caches in the area while passing through on our 'how ever long it takes' NZ tour.
Thanks for setting this up.

Quick easy find along a very busy highway. A nice tribute to our firefighters. TFTC.
After looking over the area (more than once) we had the cache in hand and began our journey home
We were just about ready to head home for the afternoon, but as we needed to go past these ones to get home we thought it would be rude not to stop for them. A nice quick find, TFTC
Nice quick find (well after rechecking an area already checked by one of or party - oops!).
Have to agree though that it cannot be over-exaggerated how much these volunteer heroes deserve our respect - thank's boys and girls of the fire service!!

Last find of a long day. Second time we've had a go at this one, but last time (about a year ago), there were too many firemen out, so couldn't make the find. tftc.
it was a bit embarrassing when I actually drove into the fire station looking for a place to park. Quite unintentional and got out of there fast with a smile and wave to the fireman. TFTC #2627
Looks like the guys were out last night, the hoses were out drying in the sun. Quick find. TFTC
Found with Biggles while caching in the area. A quick find and a good way to pay tribute. TFTC
Found on day 2 of a 3 day Auckland cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. A more relaxing day all round in which we ONLY found 68 caches. Perhaps distracted by the cache listing (which I hadn't read at the time) Mr KE wandered over to the wrong side of the road. I totally misinterpreted the meaning of the cache name and assumed it meant something else which I headed straight for and where the cache just happened to be. TFTC, Biggles.

Found it on my way back to Auckland, sign a brand new log sheet - not a FTF but a FTS TFTC
Thought I would check as people have been struggling with this. Yes... it was still there but I have heeded the comments about size and now it is a Magnetic key container as a pose to the nano. Location is within arms reach of original location.
Felt a bit car-muggle exposed, so didn't search too hard; wasn't as easy as expected. Another time.
Two visits without finding this one, Will leave it for a while & try again later
Found today on an outing with the little lads in strollers!
They LOVED checking out the Fire Trucks.
Thanks for the cache Dude.

Out caching for the day with BookwormMum and Kayaknkiwi. BookwormMum came away with this one. Great find! TFTC!
Wandered up to this one with Seattle's Best and Kayaknkiwi. Knk had the likely spot, but nevertheless I said "or it might be he.....Oh yeah, here it is!" All quiet on the fire engine front! TFTC!
Caching with Seattle's Best and Bookwormmum. Parked up and away we went. Bookwormmum came up with the goods on this one. Thanks for the adventure! TFTC!
Oops, I didnt bring my glasses so I managed to date the log 28/10/09 instead of 23/10/09. The result of advancing years and fading brain cells according to Mrs Trout-fly! No problems here I just walked down from Welcome to Orewa. Thanks.
Nice ittle drive by micro to keep the numbers ticking over a couple of DNF's today.TFTC
Out on what was supposed to be a 'Ferral' weather day in a vain attempt to keep the Auckland caches under control. Weather was fine for most of the day.
Back to "WonderZone" and all there seems to be are Nanos. Renaming it "NanoLand" now.
Fingers did the walking.
Thanks for your caches.
Cheers TT

Out with Glyn and BackPAQer today to see how many caches three guys can find powered only by Wild Bean Cafe coffee and ham rolls. The weather was wet but the spirits were high.
Still don't know what that code means.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

The size of the cache took me by surprise. Felt around for a few minutes but then had it. TFTC.
Had a quick hunt around but no luck. I see that it was found the next day so just didn't look hard enough obviously.
Hey... Great cache. I really admire those volunteers who give their time selflessly to serve their community. TFTC
