My PQ was run a while ago and I didn't read the logs until I had parked and walked. That'll teach me. At least i was able to log Snoopy at the airport before handing him over to GeoDaughter.
No luck for us today. Judging from logged photos, it looks like there has been a clean-up of this area. We'll check back another time. Cheers... Gaztek
Was hoping to find this cache in order to drop off a travel bug I have in my possession that wishes to travel overseas, but sadly my caching senses evaded me today. Had to call off the search as the light was fading, and I'd forgotten my flashlight. Will come back to try another day!
Walked a massive loop from domestic to international terminal after missing a connection. Good way to pass the time. Thanks.
Looked all over. I think I must have a case of Cache blindness. I'll have to try again next time I'm down.
Found after a bit of searching in the dark. Would have been much easier in daylight... or with a torch!
Dropped off a geocoin and grabbed the TB. TFTC

Dropped a bug off which is heading to the Olympic games (London) that I grabbed in Adelaide.
Getting dark when I got here and very wet getting to GZ.
Cache is nice and dry though, will be back with my camera for some plane spotting for sure!

Found on our last day of our Australian trip 2012. the cache could quickly be found after check-in and before departing to the old world.
Thanks chanlord for hiding.

Approaching this one from the correct direction certainly helps. The container was easily seen on approach giving us a quick, easy find. Dropped off the Come Fly With Me TB so that it can continue its journey to other avaition places.
A quick grab between flights with a helpful muggle taxi driver. Tftc. See you next year Australia.
I found parking easy, but still put my hazard lioghts on whilst I went to search. With the amount of water around it was fortunate that this cache has not been swept away.

Managed to get this on our way our of Sydney. Was a little concerned about the parking, but we contrived a breakdown just in case someone was wondering why we were pulled over.

Having migrated back to Aus premanently from NZ today it was decided we should find a cache in two countries on the one day. On the way home it was decided this was that cache. Great place to spot the planes and an easy find. Found with Mr CDM261. TFTC!
Found with dazndky after picking them up from the airport. Bubby needed a feed so we head off to find this cache.

I was waiting for my Aunt to arrive from London so we had 1 hour to kill. We began looking and I found it quite quickly thanks to the hint and description. A nice hide!

Nice walk over from the domestic terminal, hot day, glad I took some water for the walk.
Taking the Wright Flyer back to either Essendon or Melbourne Airport
Taking the Wright Flyer back to either Essendon or Melbourne Airport
My first first Geocache. This is right on my ride to work and since it wsn't a high muggle area I thought i'd stop and find and after 5 mins I found it. I wanted to grab the coin but the thing said keep to airports so i left it. I was going to take it with me and drop it off in Fiji in a couple of weeks but I think I set up a whole new one when I'm there.
Filling in time with a few airport caches before friends landed, we approached from the correct direction but closest parking area shown on maps is now disused and all locked up. Had coincidently pulled into the suggested parking spot to reassess another access point but still not happy about staying there too long as AFP vehicles slowed to watch us. Luckily a short walk and a quick search before Ben86 called out “found”.
Quick find while waiting to pickup the folks from the international terminal. Did a TB swap. Tftc

Truckgirl2 and I decided to take a walk from our hotel and this cache was closed enough. TFTC.
Walked over from the hotel with gastank2. Able to locate without much difficulty. Thanks for the cache.
Last cache of the day on our epic ride from Meadowbank to the airport. Appropriate that the last cache makes reference to the planes - we feel that we have arrived. It would be nice to head off on a plane but instead we caught the train back to North ride. We also took a Geocoin. TFTC
Pulled over 85m past GZ and walked back along the hump. Found the cache after a bit of searching under the bushes, although it wasn't really covered up that much. It's certainly not a high muggle area so is pretty safe. Dropped a Suncompass GC and took the spoon. TFTC
TFTC, a quick find when picking up Christmas visitors from the airport. We visited with trackables getting ready for a trip to Queensland. Took Dutch Clog TB & Searching under the Sothern Cross Geo Coin. We left Australia Tea Spoon TB to start it's adventure.
You've got to approach this one from International going to Domestic. Many times I've been the other way and haven't been able to stop. The parking 'bay' is about 100m past the cache so I pulled in there and looked at my back tyre before heading back along the edge of the road in search of the lost hubcap...
Headed in towards the fence and spotted the cache exposed but under cover of the bush. Signed and dropped off an appropriate TB and took one of the residents. There's no way of knowing where the ones in there need to go so I only took one - hope it didn't need to be there! There are three TBs in there now.
Thanks.

Nice hide.. Going back to Melbourne took soccer champ bug going to get photo at victory vs LA galaxy match dropped off PVEEGF going to Vancouver
I had one afternoon to explore Sydney and geocaching is how I choose to spend the time. I found the cache quickly enough, traded trackable items, signed the log and took my smiley. Thank you for adding to a fun caching day!
Yes, me too I was caught on the wrong side but found it all the same:)
I left a geocoin CRJA67 in the cache and GOD SPEED! my little fellow, hope to see you again sometime.
I also picked up a Geoswag Coin (little yellow bus) which I will get some photos with and move it along to the next bus route. So, far this little yellow bus has certainly done some interesting travelling.(8D)

Out with Kayakate (from Canada!)
This was our last find in Australia on our way to the airport. We dropped off the last of our Canadian travel bugs and picked up one to bring with us. Overall we got 13 caches down under and I can't wait to come back - thanks for a good time Aussies!!

Found with AllWeatherHeather - our last find before returning to Canada!
Trying for a few caches before catching our flight back to Halifax this is the one we could park at for the find. Dropped two TB's off and then dashed over to the road to ask a fellow for directions to the nearest gas station - dawdling over finding caches pushed us to the time limit for returning the rental gassed up Thanks for all the finds and a great time in Australia - hope to be back again!!

Just like one of the other cachers I was on the wrong side of the fence. I should have stayed on the road. Quick find one I got to the other side. Traded coins. TFTC
Walked to this cache from the domestic terminal.
I arrived on an international flight, took the transit bus to the domestic terminal, checked in, and then had some time to look for this cache. While on the transit bus I had a look at the area. It wasn't clear there was a way to walk all the way from the domestic terminal to the international terminal. But there is. I wouldn't want to do it with any baggage though.

Those planes are close!!! Sure glad I did this on a Sunday. Parking was a breeze, Qantas Drive had hardly any traffic and the facility where you can park to retrieve this had it's gate closed. Good no muggles. This was an easy find but I'm sure retrieval on a busy working day would be so much more suspicious.
2nd Aussie cache found while being on a business trip to Sydney.
Difficult parking around the airport, but when you travel from the International to the Domestic terminal, in front of this huge advertising billboard, currently displaying the all-new Peugeot 308, you find a nice spot where you should be ok for 10 mins or so. And it won't take you more than this to find the cache.
Unfortunately it was pouring with rain today, so I did not stop longer than necessary, but all the planes coming in just above your head is quite amazing. Great place!
I dropped a Hawaiian lace (in German colouring!), and took TB "The Great Train Race" with me. Not sure how the train will make it to Germany, but we'll find a way ...

Found it! Had instructions from my Geosister to find the nearest cache to the airport. After picking her up we had this one in the bag in 10 minutes.
Great spot for watching the planes take off.
Great spot for watching the planes take off.
grabbed this one as soon as i jumped off the plane. left a travel bug which is on a race! I picked it up in montana (i think) late last week and was thrilled to see it was on a race for the most miles by the end of this year. perfect! i am about to go to australia i thought. so, there it is folk - someone needs to grab the little TB asap.
btw, parking is tight. as we left the international terminal the was a couple of driveway entrances with boomgates but just after that there is a more legal looking pull out.

Ended up trudging from the Domestic to the International terminals, with luggage in tow.

I took the last chance to log a cache. It is a pitty with those business trips. You even do not have time to do some geocaching.
Awesome view of the airfield but a bit grubby and creepy at night! Easy find, log is moist but otherwise all ok. Tnln tftc

With quite a few hours to kill in Sydney before my connecting flight, I was pleased there was this cache a short walk away. I thought it interesting that the international to domestic shuttle brought me within 100m of the cache. Walking back to the cache was somewhat further!
Lest we forget. A short caching stint today on this most special of days. This was number two. Good spot to watch a couple of passeger jets come in. Took TB. TFTH.

Man this is a cool spot. Don't smoke here. Don't even think about pointing out stars with a green laser. You even have to be careful where you park. Love the smell of Kero in the morning. Clear skies too.
That was my last cache here in australia. I going to leave this afternoon.
The cache is not well hidden and I m not sure how long this cache will last, but... I hope it will last until someone will take the TB I left there.
I took Mattika1 from Airly Beach up to Cairns and back down again to sydney. "Her" mission ist to explorer australia and then take her back to germany - to her and my homecountry.
Please take her with you, if you are going to travel around australia. Its simply to early to take her back home.
Thanks for the cache, anyway.

Poked around in the dark for 15 min and my torch did not land on it. I thought it must be on the other side of the fence so I walked around, but nothing. On one last try, on the other side of the fence again, my trusty maglight landed on it almost streight away. TFTC.
I stopped her after visiting my friends at Euro Aqua Café on 55 Kent St. I was planning to this cache for a long time. Finally I got here and I have to say that on a sunny day like today it was nice to watch the airplanes take off. Thanks for bringing me here.

Dropped eaviate off at the airport and couldn't help myself while I was down this way. Nearly gave up, thinking I was on the wrong side of the fence as per previous logs, however spotted the cache on my side. Thanks chanlord for placing this here.
Found a carpark which was a relief, then ended up on the wrong side of the fence.
Eventually found without difficult. Picked up TB

Grabbed this one after work today. It was a nice walk from the motel I was stying in, however I ended up on the wrong side of the fence. There was a gap in the gates so I decided that I would try to squeeze through. It didn’t take me long to realise that I underestimated by body size so I pried myself back out of the gap. I’m glad that no one was watching – would have given them a good laugh!. I walked around to the other side and retrieved the cache. Signed the log, and left a pathtag and a little torch. I scared a rabbit out of it’s hidey spot as I placed the cache back! Great cache, thanks Chanlord!
easy find before I unfortunately have to return to Germany.

Easy find once you make sure you are on the correct side of the fence (freeway side). Construction activity happening on the other side of the fence, so at first I thought cache might have ended in the giant rubbish skip, and probably private property. Tftc.
Nice walk from International terminal while spending 4 hours in transit. Lots of planes to view. One needs about 1 hour to cover the distance (all on sidewalks) and find cache Now I'm back in Canada with ice and snow.
My third find for the day; this one has been on my hit list for a while, but I've always struggled to work out how to get to GZ. I almost certainly parked illegally under a billboard, then walked 100m or so to GZ, which was a funny sort of spot, but terrific for watching planes! THe cache was virtually uncovered, so I quickly signed the log, and re-hid with a bit more camo, although I still think it's a tad vulnerable, given there's a gate nearby, and GZ seems to be used, at the very least, as a grass clippings dump!
TNLNSL TFTC Chanlord! Funny I should find one of yours, shortly after my House Building DIY find (and your mention in my log there)!!

Dropped off Savoy Truffle, my brother, at the International Terminal! He was here since 15. 12. 2010, his first time in Australia and his first day geocaching. We did quite a bit together in this sense, lot's of finds and some good hides! He has now a whole bag of travel bugs flying, at the time of writing, to Germany. So I thought I may seek some TB's - however, Ezri (TB2114X) was definitely not in here!
As usual, I arrived with the Blue Desert Drive (TB3ZQ7E) which I parked pretty much as you indicate. There was not much traffic on a saturday afternoon, so easily and quickly done. A cache I passed a few times but never could stop.

We had a lot of time while we were waiting our flight to Auckland. Biggest problem was that we couldn't leave our luggage anywhere so half of the team went to look "M5 Duck Pond"-cache and other half stayed at the airport. After that was found it was time to change the searcher. Now we knew the route out of the airport but still it wasn't too easy. It was also close that police didn't pick up half of the team but quick hide to buches saved the situation TFTC.
Easy find as it was lying in the open fully exposed, Took the TB and covered it up. Interesting to get to. TFTC
Ooooops, my car broke down just near GZ so I just had to stop and grab this cache.
