This one has been on our try again list for awhile now - but in a month of getting our get up and go going again we decided it was time so did this on the start of a what turned out to be a big caching day (for us especially over the last year) Stretch0 did the honours with this one and couldnt have been happier - echoing others thanks for the well thought out hide signed the log thanks for the cache Smile

Visited this site a long time ago with no information other than where it was. To make it even harder it was late in the day and with heading in to dusk with all the comuters comming home to boot. Talk about trying to make it harder on ourselves! Next visit was middle of the day but alas we had failed to even look at the information so gave up when too many cars came through the area.
Today we thought that we had better put this one under our belt and comlete it, this time with all information and getting there, when it was going to be quieter.
We accomplished this on one count through sleeping in and not getting organised the day was well started by the time we got there. Was having a good look around when following the hints and spotted the method of opening. Cache in hand finally!!
Just love the cache and am sad to hear it is comming out! Hope to be replaced elsewhere in the future i hope!
Thanks for this cache Smile

4255 Great hide, needed Mrs YuGeo’s gentle touch to open the container.

17-Mar-10
Yes we found it today on our travel towards Nelson. Could not open it and have blisters on my fingers from 20 minutes of twisting pushing and pulling. Someone has been beating the lid with a rock so maybe its stuck. But we did find it after reading your directions.

11-Mar-10
A very interesting hide, was very surprised how quickly we managed to get it, even with boxhill watching us and then was returned home quickly, Thanks for the extremely clever hide, TFTC TNLNSL (1683)

A nice easy find....but how to open it? Fortunately it didn't take too long to come up with the solution.
Thanks for the clever hide.

This was a highlight of this trip. Had us pondering for quite a few minutes and then Annie figured it out!! Which made it a double highlight for her as usually it's PB who solves these tricky ones! Very well done. TNLN TFTC

Finding the cache was easy, opening it was another matter, finally a gas torch and crowbar got it open, well not really, but it was brain over brawn in the end, Thanks for the fun.

Holidaying at Mapua, 2nd Cache today after GC1A1F7 nearby.
Soon spotted the cache easy enough, but getting it open was a real mission. All four of us had a try without success. Our friends Yammay finally got it open on his second attempt !
Very clever !
TNLN, now off to find West Of Eden.
TFTC !

We were on a mission heading to the Abel Tasman for the day and thought we'd grab this on the way through .... Hmmm well yes, found it easy .... hmmm ummm right okay cool we'll just pop it open then yes well ummmmm ....... Then Miss Beanso(8yrs) decided we should come back in July when she turns 9 because 9 year old girls can do it !!! Sorry can't wait that long !!! Help please !!!

22-Dec-09
We did have a laugh at this one. We took way longer to find it than open it. Just about ended up on your lawn trying to find GZ. Once found it was putty in Ms M's hands.
Last cache for the day.
Thanks.

Very fortunately for me the cache owner rode up on his trusty caching stead as I was contemplating my assault on the cache. Not sure if I would of worked it out but for the assistance of the owner. Cheers for the bloody awesome cache Magpiy!!! A Must for all cachers!!!

Catching up with logs for caches I found with Sidewaze before I got my own account. TFTC Smile

08-Nov-09
Yep. Finding the cache was pretty easy - - - getting in - - - well, I guess you wouldn't even try if you weren't aware that others had done it before. Another excellent cache Magpiy. Thanks.

01-Nov-09
Very clever! And we got it on our first visit - a bit of thought, and the puzzle was solved! TFTC

24-Oct-09

Thanks Bitsprayer

I couldn't believe how easy it was to find the container, ha ha not so easy to get into it. Read and reread the notes and after a long time searching all was revealed - absolutely brilliant.
Thanks

i hate to admit defeat. a wee bit stumped on this one.

27-Sep-09
Found this one with Moneydork and Satchmo Cat

27-Sep-09
A fantastic hide - well done.

26-Sep-09
Agreed - finding it easy, but felt very exposed while sorting out the extraction.
Disappointment that the Sailboat suncatcher geocoin I wanted to leave was just too large to fit.

26-Sep-09
Lol nice on thx

20-Sep-09
After a morning gardening we deserved an afternoon caching!! On our first visit we logged a DNF - now a FWHFO (found with hint from owner). If we had both followed our plan C properly and looked at the original hint properly we like to think we would have found it. A great cache, well outside our skill set. First find for the afternoon. TFTC

Cache of the day! Very clever. Dont know what all these highly qualified guys have been struggling with.. And we love the fishing fly on the house roof.

The co-ordinates took us straight to this wonderful cache. We didn't have a nine year old to open it, but the old timer manged it very well.
It wasn't long before the log book was in our hands. (Never under estimate the old timer) Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin
thank you for the cache and the effort it went into the making this cache.

13-Sep-09
We were on the right track last week so Mr KE will take some satisfaction from that and from knowing others have struggled even if they didn't admit it in their logs. Big Grin The reason we couldn't 'open it' last time was we were missing the 9 year old girl, so today we brought two along just to be sure, one having qualified just yesterday. The cache was soon opened and everyone watching it closely got a fright. Thanks for a cool cache. KN will have to work hard to top this one but I'm sure he will try. Wink TFTC.

10-Sep-09
Whew, with a kind hint from the cache owner after my anguished cries for help, success today! A really neat cache that even a computer consultant can enjoy Smile One hopes that frustrated cachers don't cause too much damage round GZ. Thanks again for the effort put into this one, Biggles.

08-Sep-09
I'm with Rangi Cool can I claim first to find with one hand TwistedTwisted or arm in a cast Big Grin Great to see my kind of cache very well done most enjoyable.......TFTC

06-Sep-09
Like Usakiwi we came, had no luck then went on for food and success further down the track. However, although we had an idea that might have worked it in fact didnt. So we log the first DNF.

06-Sep-09
Heck - Mr KE can't even be the first to DNF!!! He even brought Mrs KE along as reinforcements but we struck out big time. How is an Accountant supposed to "get" a cache designed by an Engineer??? Chalk and cheese; and no coffee either - we will be back. Thanks P & M it really is nasty - well done.

06-Sep-09
Now Mr KE knows how it feels for a engineer when he strikes a cache or puzzle put out by a accountant or a computer consultantTwisted

06-Sep-09
[Whew, now I can stick my hand up to and say HELP! I've had a couple of goes at this and have had to admit defeat both times.] That is assuming that the metal object is indeed the cache. [Oh well, hopefully a clue will emerge to assist the less engineering inclined...]

04-Sep-09
Nice One!!!!!!!!! A very clever bit of container ingenuity on this one. Arrived, found the cache and it remained a puzzle until hunger took over. So, off to town for food, two successful cache finds and then back for another go. With total engineering ignorance and massive good luck, the container was very quickly opened. Well done! Much fun and flustration. Thanks.

04-Sep-09
This would definitely be in the top five of best caches we've seen - well done! It's good to have a bit of a challenge and this was certainly one of them. Thanks.

01-Sep-09
I'm starting to warm to these before-breakfast cache trips! Having received permission from the cache owner to arrive at official sunrise time, I ended up arriving about 15 minutes later than that, only to find rangi with his hand on the cookie jar. Luckily not in it - yet. He hadn't been there very long, and together we set to unravelling the challenge before us. To not spoil it for those that follow, I'll drop the cache owner a note directly with our experiences, but with an engineer and a diabolical mind on the job this treasure was in hand after a little poking, prodding and discussing likely ways to get in. Laugh for the day? "If you found this by accident".... Yeah, right! Big Grin Great cache, thanks for putting it out on a lovely morning. Only sad thing is that we have to return to the real world now! Great to meet up with rangi - don't normally run into him on cache hunts - perhaps he needs to be on the Night Rider phone tree Wink. TFTC #CS#

5 mins more and Mr Belt may have found a "smiling git"at the cache site instead of a desperate git.Found cache easily enough and was in the process of figuring it out when Mr B turned up.Put our heads together and after a few minutes came up trumps.A neighbor came out of the drive just as we got our hands on the booty and must have wondered what the two "smiling gits"(Do you like this Mr KE?) were up to.For those that follow and without giving too much away you do not need to lift or dig or lever anything to get at the cache.Great cache up there with Kiwi-Nomads caches.Great to meet up with Mr B and could have chatted all morning but unfortunately work beckoned. For those wondering what all the "gits" are about check out Mr Bs vid on youtube/Geocaching New Zealand/Binary Battery,Very funny.TFTC
