We didn't feel comfortable even leaving the car to look for this one as there was no clear boundary where the house property ended and didn't want to trespass.
Yep, we did feel a little like trespassers but there was no one home, but then the cache was placed well before any houses moved in. SL, TNLN, TFTC
TFTF! Felt a bit awkward climbing around the back of the house, but it was awesome when I finally spotted it! Left a toy and a sticker
Was such a big walk... Views pretty amazing there's lots of trees in the way though
Recommend bing a drink bottle if walking as there's a huge hill.. Kinda hard to find but worth it

If u get to the too and see there is a house no one lives in it just go around in the bush part..
And it's kinda close to the house but it's really quite up there not many people live there
And it's kinda close to the house but it's really quite up there not many people live there
There has been a house built in the way of the path so you couldn't reach it. thanks anyway
Lucky there's nobody in the house! CORRECTION. Someone was around but didn't care much. Found it without problem. TFTC.
A lazy day around Nelson Bay with Bettyboo, and then in the afternoon a short ride down to Fingal Bay.
Fabulous views for the top here. Unfortunately, they have built that house a little close to the cache (Don't they know the 160 meter rule???)
Maybe move the cache a few trees further in?
Thanks, Robmc.

# 4430. Robmc and I drove up here and I do not like these steep inclines so was glad to reach the top. We skirted around to find this one but felt a little conspicuous with the houses now so close. Certainly are million dollar houses and I am sure they would have million dollar views. TFTC
Amazing view, shame it's all being developed. Thank you for bringing us to such a magic spot!
Spectacular views and wonderful flora. What a crime that this beauty will be destroyed for housing for a select few. This type of land should be conserved for everyone. Thanks for bringing us here whilst it's still possible to enjoy it. Tftc
Very fun to find. Not sure about how close the new establishment is. Cosy to the neighbors.
Another find on an exciting days caching around Nelson Bay dodging breaks in rain. I couldn't imagine the mortgages the people would be paying off. Worth it for the view I suppose
We continued up the road from WHATAVIEW, enjoying the spectacular views along the road until we got to the end, where the house is under construction. We made friends with the cleaner / builder inside, who let us quickly peek at the view, and dream. We then headed around the fence to GZ where we made a quick find. The container is wet, but the log isn't too bad. We TNLN then signed the log. TFTC!
Drizzly light rain today, Great enjoyed around of Port Stephens caches... Nice easy stroll to GZ, easy to find as well and also full wet on lognote as need replace very soon... thanks
Came up to Port Stephens to get our tally to 1000 in our first year. This is number 971.
Million dollar homes with million dollar view. Thanks madstars.

First day on the job and really enjoying caching. Good find but look at the view lol
We ventured toward Nelson Bay with DiMorgan for a good day of caching. The weather was overcast but quite pleasant. We had a list of caches to wanted to find and this was one of them. This is such a scenic part of the coast which makes caching most enjoyable.
Thanks to MADSTARS.
Thanks to MADSTARS.
We have spent the day geocaching with Liz & Bruce. Headed to beautiful Nelsons Bay where we saw
wonderful beaches, sand dunes & crystal blue water. Found many caches along paths & trails. A very successfull day of caching. Picked up TB
Thanks again MADSTARS

Great hide, found it easy. TFC
There were 2 extremely water damaged log books which were creating a damp environment so we removed them. We made sure that the current log book was well protected.
Took log books, left nothing.

30/09/12 10:44 AM. Cache #123. 2nd one in a 2-hour 15-cache frenzy while holidaying up here on the long weekend. Wonder if this one will still be here when the house has finished? Still, they'll get great views, as the name says. Left Miss Tiki TB.
woohoo found it! which obviously means its still there for now. when the house is finished and fully moved into this will be a VERY hard cache to get!
Again, thank you Grahame Cookie for the maintenance.
It is cachers like yourself that make putting out finds worth it.
Will catch up with you at an event when we move back up that way.
Cheers mate.

A lovely view truely worth a million dollars, lets hope the new home owners are cache friendly.
0915 GAFF1 Wow, what a spot to enjoy the first part of my 4-day weekend!
Having already dropped the boys off at Williamtown for their trip to Perth I had a few hours 'up my sleeve' before needing to head to Dungog and Bandon Grove for the rest of the weekend.
Now there is a road heading into Nelson Ridge Estate, so not nearly so much walking required.
As others have mentioned, a short scrambled around the building site fencing and I was soon at GZ.
Left a Ziploc bag to try and keep the logbook drier, and left a laminated Stash Note; tipped out the water, and dried as best as possible.
Through: Coins – ... hours have gone-coin, Krtik’s 250, 3Bros, Lighthouses, Bridges, B2B, Baa, Neigh and Oink, Bear Bait TB, and SummerLovin521 TB, and trackable shirt.
Had seen a State Survey Marker on the way up, and grabbed it on the way back to WHATAVIEW.
Am sure I'll be back this way some time to grab a few more caches, so may drop by and see how the building and occupancy is going on, and as to whether the new occupants have a problem with 'strangers' walking beside their property to access public property. (If it stays public, and not also sold off)

What a spot to build a house. Great views in every direction.
Scrambled past the construction site to quickly pick up the Cache

Caching along the way after visiting a friend in Newcastle, off to a house warming party at the bay
Amazing....... Sad this has to be my last for the day! I found the log again a little damp. It could have been the recent wet weather though? Not sure if the rain in Sydney reached this way?

A big thank you to geono for replacing bag and log.
The days are numbered for this cache with the new house.
Because I do not live in the area please let me know when I should archive.

This cache needs upgrading-the builders at the house in progress told us it was a 4 million dollar view! Left another log book and bag to replace the original that was soaked through. TFTC.
Took some time to find our way into this place, glad I won't be delivering pizza's here. A very nice looking house is being built next to gz and the lucky people even have a cache right next to them, paradise. Thanks for the cache
Geez this took some navigational skills to get to from ...and then. After about 10 minutes to get such a short distance we were on our approach to GZ.
I don't think that there is much life left in this one though, with it being in the back yard of the new house being built, and being full of water. We dried it out as best we could. This is another cache worth the effort to get to and log(although quite easy).
Cheers from Browngang

Great location if you had the required million! Found the cache easily, however contents and log book very damp, thanks.
Logged visit, book is wet needs maintenance. Great view, a house is under construction near GZ. Best get this one while still you can.
Found cache upright but lid may not have been on correctly. Log was very damp.
Resealed and replaced cache.
Cheers,

New house well under way
Great views for them
The cache is not inside the safety fence despite the GPSr pointer (well until the next house is built)
Cache very wet. Emptyed out the water but as it was raining could not dry the log

There is a new house being built close to the cache location - this must be the best location in the whole of Port Stephens! My Lotto win will have to be very big..... TFTC
TFTC found easy enough but cache is full of water. had to empty it out. log is damp but was still able to write on it.
This could be a bit hard to get to in a few months time. Construction is well under way on the house at the end of the cul-de-sac which may block access. Great views from up here at sunset. That is one steep road.
You under valued this one Madstars, as of October 2011 The house just up the street is for sale at 1.2 Mill. Be interesting to see what the views cost in 10 years time. TFTC.
Last time we were near here a hail storm sent us home. Not sure how long this one will be accessible with preparations going on for a new house quite closeby. After chasing the GPS around for a while we found we had already walked straight past it, although the camouflage was very obvious. The view is disappearing as the houses are finished, the blocks of land looked like sheer cliffs to us. Thanks for the hide.
Anyone want to chip in and buy me one of the blocks up here. Nice easy walk from WHATAVIEW.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Set off on an afternoon of caching. Wow this would be a wonderful place to live! The oldest geoson took photos and is motivated to work hard to afford a place like this! We seemed to be a step behind the monks this afternoon and agree that cache is quite soggy. Unfortunately, we had no repair kit with us this arvo. SL took pirate coin and left a horse. Tftc - we really enjoyed coming up here, although mr horsey would not like to drive up the driveway everyday - it is very steep.
Quick find while working in the area.
Only three houses in the street at the moment which makes my job easy.
Great views up here.
Thanks MADSTARS

TFTC. It was only matter of time before they built houses up here.
I'm on top of the world!
Yeah, we know...not original but its late in the day.
Took bubble maker and left gold pirate coin.

Wow the people who live up here certainly do have a 'Top spot'.
Walked in and saw the right spot.

My TomTom didn't have the road on it and I went on a wild goose chase for about 5 minutes before I decided to look at the Garmin. OK. There.
I drove and parked within a few metres of the cache. The area is possibly my fav spot of the whole bay. I took a photo of the sign board at the entrance and have seriously considered ringing them up. But you know what they say about buying real estate on a holiday.
Logging this back in Adelaide has got me thinking. Pic of the sign in the log for others just in case. Lot 13 is mine.
While here, some hornets did a low pass. Very cool. Clear skies. (pics).

Cache number 11 for a Marathon cache hunt over the Easter weekend. A busy weekend of Madstars, great views, smelly spots, lovely beaches, high mugggle challenges, bush bashing, rock hopping, wet feet, meeting other cachers. Thanks to all the owners of the Geocachers in this area, you certainly made a great weekend away for the dkmacca team.
Cheers

The muggle who I was staying with walked right passed and never saw it. TNLN. SL
Reperio at 1640. Wasn't sure of the best access point for this one, as we ended up circling around the streets of GZ looking for the right way in. Eventually we found the right street, and surprised how close to GZ we parked. A short stroll and the cache was soon found, and for the third time today, we were treated to some wonderful views. Can only imagine what some of the house prices up here are.

Loved this incredible spot. It has to be one of our favourites. Included this cache in our day at the Bay for the Port Stephens 2011 Invasion event. The views really are amazing. TFTC
